UHG! The pain of joining a fandom years after it was canceled!
I had had The Gifted on my to-watch list for ages, and when I found out Percy was in it, I finally moved it to the top of the list, and now I'm stuck. Damn Fox for canceling it! I was dying to know if Lauren and Andy realized that the balance of light and dark that was needed to fully control Fenris was for both of them to be evenly balanced in the middle together, not on the ends against each other! GAH!
OK, I know this is just my headcannon, but it's based on the balancing act Lauren and Andy were doing all through Season 2. When one moved to an extreme, the other moved to counterbalance it (Andy dark, Lauren light). When one moved towards the middle, the other moved towards the middle (Lauren going darker, Andy going lighter) , always maintaining equilibrium. There was SO much potential here!

Idc what anyone says, Lauren should’ve gotten her own haircut and/or change in outfit/design in season 2. Andy got to bleach his hair when he went all “inner circle”ly but when Lauren deals with her little brother following someone they barely know (no hate to Lorna, I love her) she doesn’t get a change in outfits? Huh? She got to go apeshit but she didn’t get to change her hair or outfit? Anyways I’m imagining her with a spiderverse Gwen Stacy haircut.

What are those drawings? My last rewatch was very meticulous, but I don't remember them being ever addressed.
Does Lauren also draw? It could be Andy's old drawings but I don't think so.
On the top there is a John's portrait? Then a wolf or a dog.
A couple of cute wolves, I think I saw something like that on the internet.

Dr. Campell and Trask Industries were always on the hunt for mutants with powerful abilities. Their number one priority was the Strucker Siblings. He was convinced they were the key to the next step in his research, and would turn the tide of the war between mutants and humans.
Their second priority was Gemma, the girl who could go anywhere with just a thought.
The Mutant Underground saves her after Sentinel Services ramps up their hunt for mutants, with orders to capture at any cost, setting Gemma and Andy on route to their destiny.

FLORIBETH DALISAY ( @floripire ) said "okay but... your powers. if i may ask, how do they work?"
She startles a little at the question, not because she doesn't know the answer to it, but it's always a little jarring when people are so open with her about her powers. Years spent hiding had done a number on Lauren, and there's always a split second instinct to deny that she has any powers, that it must have been a trick of the light. She remembers those nights after she saved their minivan from the truck that lost control, how she stayed up until the birds started greeting the morning with her blanket pulled up over her head while she sought out any answers she could on the internet.
It's a very different world she's in now, surrounded by people who all have their own talents, and Lauren untenses and smiles at Flori. "Well, everything is made up of something, right? All those molecules floating around means there's some mass or matter to them. If something has mass, then it can be moved." She conjures a small shield with a flick of her wrists, the air around it shimmering in an otherworldly way. "My shields are just, molecules packed together so tightly that nothing can get through." She releases the pressure and the shield dissipates once more, and all looks normal again. "And moving mass creates energy. I don't really know how the rest of it works. Kinda got pulled out of school before I finished physics," she jokes.
"It's not really that special," she adds with a self-deprecating smile. "I can't really do anything but make shields. I'm not like Andy."

"I can push air together. With water too. Other stuff too, it's just harder." I always thought this had so much potential to be a really dangerous power. Like, could she push blood inside someone? Could she crush their windpipes with air?
Chills, really.
Lauren's power definitely has the potential to be extremely deadly since it is so versatile. Personally, I think that her power just depends on what she is willing to try. For instance, her shields being turn into projectiles for offense instead of defense.
Honestly, we know that The Gifted took some liberties with creating the Strucker siblings in their show, giving them the same powers as the Von Struckers (Fenris) that they had when they were holding hands, and also giving them individual powers (i.e. Lauren pulling molecules together, Andy pulling molecules apart). Because of this, I honestly think that they weren't thinking that far ahead with how many possibilities there were with her powers.
In the end, If she tried to crush a windpipe, I totally think she could. She would have to concentrate really hard though, which may make it less effective than just you know using her shields.
