As an omega carer that works at a rescue and rehabilitation centre for feral alphas and omegas, Louis has experienced all sides of ferality. So Harry- a cold, near mute, non-receptive alpha- was a challenging case for everyone at Phoenix Rehab Centre. Louis wasn’t expecting to feel drawn towards an aloof Harry, or to form a slow bond with him. He certainly was not expecting for his entire life to change in unforeseen ways.

No one can claim that I'm fast, but hey! I finally had a moment to sit down and find some fics for a lovely anon who wandered into my inbox looking for classical musician!larry. A few of these are a little bit of a stretch, but hopefully there's something here you enjoy! “I should probably…” The man trailed off, motioning towards the antique shop behind Louis.

“Right, sorry,” Louis apologized again, stepping aside.

“It’s alright. Have a good day.”

“You too,” Louis replied as the man disappeared around the corner.

By the age of 30, Louis' entire life trajectory had changed from what he'd thought it would be. He moved back to the town he grew up in and did his best to pull himself and his life back together again.

Four years, seven months, and sixteen days after the day that changed everything, Louis turns a corner and literally runs into the man who just might change it all again.

hello beautiful people! :)) it’s been a while since i’ve been wanting to do a post here with my all-time favorite fics, so here it is! these are (so far) the stories writen in this fandom that have touched my heart most dearly, and i plan to make more of these eventually! :)

so let’s get into it! i’ll first rec some of my faves kind of randomly, and in the end i’ll put my flawless top 5 tier fics, hope yall enjoy these as much as i did!

🍄 Sunrise and Pixie Dust by moonyblouie (14.8k)

Harry's taking a walk at sunrise in the forest he knows like the back of his hand when the wind starts blowing, the sky turns pink, and golden glitter starts to fall from the sky. He’s not sure about what’s happening, but when he comes face to face with a gorgeous winged-creature, he can’t help but be immediately mesmerized.

Or an AU in which Harry finds himself crossing the borders between two worlds.

this is one of the sweetest short fics ever! It inspired me a lot to write my tinker bell fic, it’s just sooo cute and soft, i love it so so much!

🍄 sunflowers, sunshine, and you by soldouthaz (28.7k)

Sunshine county is small but mighty and Harry takes pride in knowing nearly each and every person that lives inside of it. For nearly eleven years now he’s been sheriff, and not one of them he’s ever regretted settling down here.

He knows the road names like the back of his hand, knows the people and the animals and the way the world works here. In all of the time he’s been here, not a thing has changed.

So, all things considered, when he starts seeing a beat up pickup truck roaming through town with plates he’s never seen before, Harry, to be frank, jumps on that like a fly on fresh dog shit.

this is such a fun read, i love it so much. everytime i remember this fic i feel a tug in my heart, it is sweet, funny and so lovely. i love the writing, just amazing!

🍄 Stuck On You by WritewhatIwant (33.9k)

Louis’ life revolves around his stickers. Harry’s life revolves around his job. The universe has decided their worlds should revolve around each other.

this is one of those reads that i personally didn’t expect how much it was going to absorb me. it is so amazing, i love the way the author decided to explore louis obsession with stickers and i just love his character so much, he is such a sweet little thing i would protect him with my life. wonderful read that i promise will surprise you!

🍄 bruise you like a peach by falsegoodnight (40.6k)

There’s two reasons Harry despises Econ.

The first is that it’s boring as fuck. The second reason is a bit more personal, a bit more focused in a way. As in it’s focused on one specific thing, or in his case, person.

His name is Louis Tomlinson.

i guess most people have already read this since it is fantastic, but if you haven’t go check it out now (especially if you enjoy good smut). the bdsm dynamics here are just amazing and suuper hot ;), and even being a fic centered around smut it still captures you entirely in every scene. love it so much!

now, this is one of the biggest masterpieces i’ve ever read in this fandom. this should be published. i can’t even summarize how amazing the writing in this is, how perfectly built everything is and i just love the letter format. a must read!!!!!!

🍄 A Certain Satisfaction by creamcoffeelou and delsicle (51.6k)

“Sit, sit, please,” he said, so Louis sat, folding up his hands in front of him.

Harry cracked up his bottle of water, looking at Louis for a long moment as he took a drink. When he was done, he set the bottle on the desk, then pulled his sunglasses down the bridge of his nose, looking at Louis over the edges of the frames.

“So,” he said, “Louis. Do you have any previous experience with pornography?”

Louis blinked, shuffling his feet.

“I’m sorry, what?”

OR: The porn au where Louis is a university student who needs money and runs across an ad that sounds too good to be true.

another amazing read, this fic is so good and fun and even deep at some points, i just love it. and i think what takes the cake is the personality of h and l in this, i just love them both so much. the sixties vibe is an amazing touch and here we have the hottest non-smut scenes i’ve ever read!

🍄 through the wheatfields and the coastlines by thepolourryexpress (52.8k)

“You’re not from around here, are ya?” Hot Cowboy asks, tracking his little lamb with his eyes. Louis frowns slightly, having thought he was doing pretty well at not sticking out like a sore thumb. It’s not like he’s not from around here — it’s not his first summer he’s spent at his grandparents'. But he supposes that the Manhattan city lifestyle that he’s used to is always going to shine through.

“I’m visiting family for the summer,” Louis explains, cheeks a little pink. “Trying to get some work done without distractions.”

Or, alternatively, the one where Louis needs inspiration, and a certain cowboy and his lamb are the perfect distraction.

this is another must read! oh, how i love this fic. so so so sweet, harry and winnie are a show by itself, but everything about this is perfect. if you’re looking for a heart warming fluffy read, this is the one.

🍄 social cues by outropeace (55.8k)

To Harry, Louis was becoming as tangible and essential as music in his life. He still was a mystery but at the same time, he was one of the most real things Harry had. He just hoped he could live up to the image Louis probably had in his mind of him.

He could play the part, after all, what was published of him wasn’t as detached from reality. He didn’t think of himself as a rockstar cliche, although he couldn't deny he did sleep around, partied a lot, and did some drugs. But then again, wasn’t that what the majority of his friends back in his hometown were doing at college?

Harry wanted to impress Louis, he didn’t want to disappoint or leave his expectations unfulfilled, so he’d give him the full rockstar experience.

It was a very simple plan, what could possibly go wrong?

this fic has such a unexpected glow to it, and i mean this in the best way possible. i didn’t expect the writing on these to make me so thoughtful and impressed, there’s insane quotes on this. also the story makes you want to rip your hair off with the angst, marvelous.

🍄 From Chaos by outropeace (62.7k)

“Your majesty, is everything okay?” a man, fully covered in a black armor from head to toe, harshly opened the door.

Louis’ breath hitched, not quite registering the honorary term the man used for him but fully recognizing two things; first, the black crown of thorns on top of his head, making the dark veil that covered his face sit in place. There was a symbol on his chest, two serpents intertwined in what appeared to be a circle, who represented Orcus' connection with life and death. A reminder to everyone in the order that death was constant, and infinite.

The man who stood in front of him, tense and alert, was a knight, an Orcus’ knight. Louis took an uneven breath.

What type of nightmare was this?

Tale as old as time, a villain falls in love with an already taken hero who only wants to kill him.

outropeace again, as they should, making their presence here with another phenomenal fic. this fic is so genious, the world/universe building? amazingly presented for such a short fic. i love everything about this, it delivers you every emotion you can have, brilliant!

🍄 where they glow by falsegoodnight (70.5k)

“Look, sweetheart,” Harry starts, shaking his head. “Name your price - seriously. I’m willing to be generous, just don’t make this more difficult than it needs to be. I’ll take my crown and we never have to see each other again. Easy peasy.”

Louis frowns at the term of endearment that sounds condescending dripping from Harry’s lips, stepping closer. “Something brought you here, Harry Styles. Call what you will: fate, destiny…”

“Liam Payne,” Harry mutters.

“And I have made the decision to trust you,” Louis says, ignoring the odd comment.

“A horrible decision, really,” Harry says, looking amused. “Then again, I’m the one sitting here in ropes with multiple bruises on my head so who am I to say anything about decisions?”

Or, a Tangled AU where Louis dreams, Harry runs, and the sun prince has been missing for almost nineteen years.

how could a tangled au be bad in any way? but ris makes it even better with her wonderful writing. i love this fic so so much, and if you love tangled as much as i do, you have to read this right now!!

🍄 Tainted Saints And Velvet Vices by Toomanytears (126k)

A self-fulfilling Hogwarts AU in which Louis is new to seventh year and Harry is the resident devil-may-care Slytherin set to make his entire experience a living misery. Due to less than favourable circumstances they're forced to forge an unwilling, tentative relationship for their own survival. Repressed emotions, decidedly unromantic ballroom dancing, Triwizard Tournament tasks, creative jinxes and twilight flying above the Forbidden Forest ensue.

the harry potter au we all deserved, gryffindor louis and slytherin harry as it should be!! oh i love this one so much! just remembering of it i’m already thinking about re reading it.... i’m sure if you’re a fan of harry potter you’ll love it and if you’re not you’ll also love it!

(oh, and if you enjoy the series of books ‘carry on’ by rainbow rowell, this kind of reminded me of these books ;D)

🍄 Cold Little Heart by seducedbycurls (194.5k)

Louis is a soft omega with an abusive past and an alpha child A few months after getting a divorce, Louis meets Harry, an ex-military alpha wolf that offers him something -odd.

In exchange for teaching him how to cook, Harry will babysit his son, Abraham Louis really could use the help.

this is a classic one, it was the one that made me fall in love with the abo verse and it is written by my favorite writer in this fandom :) a must read, of course, and just so so beautiful. this explores all kind of domesticity and the abo verse, splendid.

🍄 Gods & Monsters by Velvetoscar (201.6k)

The instructions were simple: seduce and destroy Harry Styles. Not once did they discuss the option of Louis actually falling in love. So, naturally, that's exactly what he did.

now we get to i guess the biggest (rightfully so) writer in this fandom, and as veltoscar does, they again managed to overwhelm me with amazing writing, plot and character development. this fic takes a kind of overused plot of ‘it was all a bet’, and makes it into something completly unique and fantastic. i just love h and l in this, i’m amazed about l’s character in every way, and h is just the sweetest thing. incredible!

The study was to see if two strangers could live together for a month and fall in love.

Louis is allergic to peaches, Harry smells like peaches. Louis just came for the money.

i can’t even tell how much i adore this fic. this is so sweet, so lovely, so... everything. fluffy and weird in a such fun way, perfect seducedbycurls balance, love it!

🍄 4. Collision by itjustkindahappened (226.6k)

Mythology/Fairytale!AU in which Louis is a dainty fairy with a temper who wants to be intimidating and Harry hurts people. Naturally, they hate each other.

(Featuring Liam, the big and not-so-bad wolf who’s got a thing for humans, Zayn, a human with supernaturally good looks, and Niall, the cupid who just wants his job to be easier.)

so now one of the most brilliant pieces i’ve ever read. what even is this world building? unbelievable. this fic is a part of my soul, it’s insanely genius and everyone in this world should read.

Louis, to his horror, attends an elitist university in which the name Zayn Malik means something, Niall Horan doesn't stop talking, there are pianos everywhere, and Harry Styles, only son of a drug-addled, clinically insane ex-rocker, has a perfect smile and empty eyes.

what even i can say about this one? it is basically the masterpiece everyone knows it is, next.
