how would you do a percy jackson adaptaion?

okay, so I know this is a controversial opinion right off the bat: I really don’t think it should be an animated series.

A large part of the appeal of the series is that it’s a fantasy series set very very firmly in reality. Literally, apart from the camps, you could go to every location hit in the books. Riordan mentions specific streets, buildings and landmarks, and that was cool when I first read them. I remember being a kid and waiting for him to set a scene in a place near where I lived! I remember trips to New York and being able to envision an epic war happening in the streets. So I think any adaption needs to be live action just to keep that same feeling alive, while I’m not knocking on animation, I just feel like taking the story out of real life would make it loose a little of the charm. Like, the scene where Manhattan is completely frozen in time? It would be haunting to see that in real life, but I feel like it would be less impactful if it didn’t…you know…look real? The series should be done in a way that makes you truly feel like you could just turn a corner and walk straight into a snake woman going about her day.

Now: another large part of the appeal of the series is how funny it is, but a lot of that…is Percy’s inner monologue. He doesn’t actually voice most of it, there was even a book where Annabeth described him as being quiet. So, I think the best way to work around this: make it Interview With A Demigod.

Imagine it’s got an interview with a vampire-esque setup- and this even works because within the riordanverse, the books canonically exist because Percy sat down with a ‘camp scribe’ and had his quests recorded. So, like, this isn’t even entirely out of left field. But just imagine, a college-aged, maybe a little older Percy, I can see it so clearly in my head, he’s wearing a sweatshirt that at first glance looks like it says NYU but a trained eye will see it actually says NRU for a camp jupiter easter egg, he’s sitting in some dinky little diner (maybe it can even be a monster donut or something with a clever greek myth related name) with a guy who’s recording the conversation on some old-ass tape recorder that keeps acting up but they can’t record on a phone because of the whole technology thing. Every now and then it’ll cut back to them to get some great Percy thoughts out there. They open with older Percy saying the ‘look, I didn’t wanna be a halfblood’ and then explaining where he was when the whole mess started. Once he get’s to “was I a troubled kid?” the screen fades from older Percy to 12 year old Percy getting in a fight with Nancy and her gang, and the voice over says the ‘Yeah, you could say that’ part as we see him get threatened by the principal to behave on the field trip. Boom, we’ve got an opening. Lowkey….I’m seeing Jordan Fisher as older Percy, but I’m not 100% married to the idea.

And before anyone tries to argue that showing an older Percy would spoil he’s not gonna die in last olympian- like, reading the books, we all knew he wasn’t going to die. It was a first person narrative and he was consistently speaking in past tense lmao like we Knew he was gonna make it. We still enjoyed the series. It won’t ruin anything.

I want part of the score of the adaptation to be instrumental versions of songs from the musical, I think that could be a sweet nod to that team.

They really need to nail camp halfblood. I know that goes without saying, but in order to keep the pacing of the story decent we can’t spend as much time falling in love with it like we got to with the book. The book is like, 24 chapters and the quest starts at chapter 12- for a movie or tv show, that’s just gonna feel like it’s dragging. So, the insanity of the camp needs to smack you in the face right away, and then it needs to endear itself to the viewers quickly after that. Don’t try to ease the viewers (or Percy) into the mythology is real thing, rip it off like a bandaid. He’s on his way to meet Chiron and Mr. D for the first time and even if he’s not comprehending what he’s seeing, there’s nature spirits and harpies all around going about their day. Hestia waves at him and then disappears into the flames. Hecate kids can be seen casting a spell on the porch of the Hermes cabin. The Stolls are seen pranking some Aphrodite kids. He sees someone surely die on the climbing wall but then you hear a faint ‘I’m okay!’. The Apollo kids put a rhyming curse on another cabin. Pure chaos all before he gets the ‘so, gods are real’ speech. And then after that…show how warm Luke is to him at the cabin and at dinner. Show the kids all goofing off at the campfire and really make it clear that they’re children. Show the strawberry fields rolling in the wind and Percy sitting on the beach. The whole couple weeks where he’s searching for powers and learning greek and latin with Annabeth can be a montage. Make it clear how hurt and scared he is when he finds out he needs to leave.

It needs to really get you feeling how Percy’s feeling, every laugh, every tear, every moment of fear or confusion needs to shine clear through. Like…think of Spider-Man Homecoming, the Washington monument scene. All things considered, it’s not the most high-stakes scene we’ve ever seen in that franchise, and when it cuts to the kids in the elevator, they’re worried but not quite freaking out, but that scene feels very high stress to watch because the movie is good at getting the viewers to feel what Peter feels. A Percy Jackson adaptation needs a touch like that, because Percy’s a very emotional kid and that’s what a lot of the scenes hinge on.

Lowkey- I’d love it if the casts of both the previous movies and the musical had cameos or bit parts (the movie cast did Nothing Wrong, it was the rest of that team). It’d be hilarious to see, like, Jake Abel as the owner of the poodle, or Logan Lerman as Older Percy and the reporter’s waiter that keeps trying to get in on the conversation, or Brandon T. Jackson as a satyr who’s still stuck grooving out in the Lotus Hotel and Casino. Kristen Stokes as a nature spirit, Chris as one of the ghosts stuck in the waiting room of DOA Records, just like any of those casts having small parts would be fun and sweet.

There should be a lot of easter eggs for the bigger riordanverse. Promotions in the background for the new Tristan McLean movie. Gabe’s got a true crime documentary about the missing Grace children playing during his poker game. Mr. D is reading a paper about Rachel Dare’s father’s newest project. At some point while they’re still in New York they pass the Kane family’s mansion or whatever it was called. Annabeth keeps a picture of little her and Magnus on her nightstand. The barest of hints about the Triumvirate. Seeing kids in camp jupiter gear in some background shots, just out of notice of our main characters but implying the camps are going through similar problems (BITCH….if we got a titan’s curse adaptation…and we had a shot of Thalia in the foreground….but in the background we saw a blond boy in purple with a golden sword….well I would simply loose my Goddamn mind).

And show us how easily the mist lets things blend in, too- like, everyone thinks ‘Monster Donuts’ is just a normal chain, it’s just on an average street block, but if Percy looks through the window he can see who’s behind the counter. Show someone swindling some guys in a park and you have to look twice to realize he’s a gegeines. Like…how people are still trying to find all the background ghosts in haunting of hill house. I would LOVE to see a bunch of background monsters and mythical beings just going about their day as much as the mortals are while the gang’s questing.

The effects need to be fun. The whole story needs to be fun, but one weird thing about the past movies are that like…in their attempt to make it gritty, none of the fantastical things happening on screen actually felt that exciting. We need bright colors and interesting choices, consistently cool action shots, a liveliness that makes you feel like you’re in the center of the action. I have absolutely no doubt Disney easily has enough funds to pull off great effects.

The characters need to be….in character lmao. Annabeth needs to be cocky and bratty with the skill set to justify it. Percy needs to be a sweetheart who pretends to be hardened because that’s what people assume he’s like. Grover needs to have dry humor and a Too Old For This Shit attitude whenever percabeth start bickering. Luke needs to be nice and friendly but in a specific way that you can look back after the betrayal and see he was trying to groom everyone. Sally needs to be loving, protective and strong. Chiron needs to feel defeated and determined at the same time. Mr. D needs to….be Stanley Tucci lmao

Also, I’d love if the adaptation could expand more on things that got brushed along in the books- Percy and Beckendorf’s friendship, Silena and Clarisse’s dynamic, make Nico’s crush on Percy a little more obvious, give Rachel some more development. One thing that haunts me about the books is Sally never found out that Gabe hit Percy. Absolutely they don’t need to make the abuse explicit, but I also personally feel like a lot of Percy’s mindsets throughout the series are somewhat a result of Gabe, and I’d like if that got, you know, acknowledged. Maybe in the scene where he figures out Gabe abuses Sally he could say ‘does he hit you too?’ or something to that effect. They could also go more into detail about Annabeth’s family, give Zoe some more depth….like the possibilities I’m screaming.

Okay this is already long and I’m getting tired but I can so clearly see a great adaptation in my mind….Disney please come through….It’s what we deserve….

Chapter 41 - Could It Be Eddie Vedder?

North Washington, November 12 1990

(Andi is 20)

ANDI: It was mid morning in early winter with the sun shining surprisingly bright. It had snowed just a little bit the night before and the air was crisp and cool. The boys were working in the studio recording the first few tracks for the album they were putting together and they finally decided on a name last night.

Andy would definitely approve.

Anyways... Since it was so early, and not to mention some of the boys do have a little bit of a hangover... ehem - Jeff - I figured we could all use some much needed coffee. Right now Eddie is with me, driving Chris's truck to a small town called Lynwood to see if there is a coffee shop or diner of some sort.

I should say, that as much as I thought that I was shy - and trust me I am - Eddie is even more so. So when the two of us get together, it's pretty quiet and awkward for the first little while, since I'm not usually the one to start conversations. With Eddie I seem to have to but I totally understand why. He had just moved here from San Diego only a couple of months ago after he sent a demo tape of a few songs he had written lyrics to back to Jeff Stone and Mike. I guess they had sent out that same tape to look for a singer as they wanted to continue on and knew that Andy would want them to.

Jeff and Stone were so impressed by the way Eddie sounded that they asked him to fly out here for a couple of weeks to see if he would audition and if he wanted to be part of the band. Well, those few weeks turned into a permanent stay once Eddie officially decided to join them and everyone pretty much fell in love with him, especially Chris.

Before the wedding, Chris wanted to make him feel welcome, so he invited him out for a few drinks and they became so close right away. It was sweet how Chris embraced him like a brother. I think Eddie reminds Chris of Andy in some ways with writing. Chris really missed having that with Andy.

"Thanks for driving me," I say and quickly glance at him.

"Sure... you're welcome," He says.

"I mean it's not like I can't drive... I just shouldn't," I say.

"It's ok I don't mind," Eddie smiles at me and glances back out the windshield. I hate it when it's awkward and quiet like this.

"Um... wanna listen to some tunes?" I ask.

"Sure," He smiles at me again. I open up the glovebox of Chris's blue Ford pickup and pull out my new cassette of a band called Pantera. I slide it into the stereo and the first track starts up right away.

"I've been so addicted to this album since I got it," I say as 'Cowboys from Hell' plays through the stereo.

The rest of the entire drive to Lynwood was pretty silent except for the amazing guitar solos that Dime was playing through the speakers. I wish there was a way that we could somehow make it less awkward between us. We then find a small little diner and Eddie parks the truck out front. We both climb out of our seats and head inside, immediately greeted by 1960's décor. I walk up to the counter and place an order for 6 black coffee's with all the stuff on the side and a dozen doughnuts to go while Eddie studies the place, his hand in the pockets of his suede chestnut brown jacket, his messy golden curls everywhere and those bright blue eyes that can make a girl weak in the knees.

Once my order is filled, I hand the girl some cash with a tip, then Eddie helps me carry out the coffee and doughnuts to the truck. Once we get settled, Eddie pulls back out on to the highway, heading back to London Bridge Studios where the boys are recording.

"These coffee's are probably going t be so cold once we get them back to the studio," I say as I balance the tray on my lap.

"Nah, well maybe, but I think there's a microwave in the lounge," He says and glances in the rearview mirror. There was a little bit more silence between us but then Eddie decides to speak.

"So um... time travelling... what's that like?" He asks. I glance back at him surprised by that question but deep down I was expecting it at some point.

"Not as glamorous as you would think," I chuckle and he gives me a little smirk.

"Sorry, you probably get that question a lot huh?" He says.

"Yea but, I'm used to it. I know it's hard to understand for a lot of people so I try to explain it as best I can. Most people don't believe me until it actually happens though,"

"Well I'll admit, I didn't believe you until I saw it happen at your wedding," He glances at me.

"Yea, that definitely was not my intention... wait, you knew?" I ask as my curls fall down across my eyes and I flip them out of my face.

"Yea... you were just a little different during the party. I mean, you were still you, but you seemed a little older... I can't really explain it. But Chris was just all about you of course. He couldn't take his eyes off of you," Eddie explains. I honestly didn't think he would be able to pick up on when I time slip - if it's my future self or past self. It's still all me of course.

"I wish I was there," I say quietly and Eddie raises his eyebrow at me again. "I mean, this me... the present me,"

"Where were you?" He asks.

"I was with Chris... just in the past," I say glancing down, remembering how upset and angry I was with myself that I missed my own wedding.

"Sounds sweet,"

"It can be... fuck, I love him more than anything. He's like the other half of me .. I never thought I would ever meet someone like him and I just really wanted to marry him that day y'know? " I say glancing out my passenger window as the lightly snow covered fields roll by.

"Yea... but you're married now aren't you?" Eddie glances at me.

"Yea, yea... the next morning we went to City Hall and made it official. It was nice but, it wasn't the same," I say looking down at the tattoo on my finger.

"Not what you planned?" Eddie asks.

"No... nothing ever happens the way I plan it. I always seem to find a way to fuck something up someway or somehow," I didn't exactly mean for that to come out that way. I guess I've been holding in a lot of resentment towards myself.

Eddie glances back at me for a few moments and I can tell he's trying to figure me out, but instead I decide to change the subject for a bit.

"So how is Beth? I haven't seen her since the wedding," I ask, pushing my curls behind my ear once again.

"She's good, she's still in San Diego working on a few things before she heads back up here. I finally was able to convince her to move up here with me just a couple of weeks ago so... she's just getting things together. Her band's not taking it well apparently, and I get it but..." He explains.

"You miss her?" I ask glancing at him as he keeps his eyes on the highway.

"Yea... a lot,"

I can just see how much he loves her as he continues to talk more about her and her band. I had only met her once before the wedding and she barely talked if at all. She is a lot more into punk and hardcore in terms of her style as well as her music, but sweet nonetheless. She's a bassist for her band Hovercraft and she just recently graduated from San Diego State University. Her and Eddie have been together since '83 when she was only 16 and he was 19.

"...and since my dad... um passed away - my real dad - she's been the only one who's basically keeping me together," " He adds, still keeping his eyes on the road.

"I'm sorry," I say quietly knowing exactly how he feels.

"It's ok, I mean I only met him once or twice when I was really little... My dad - who I thought was my dad - really wasn't my dad. When he left my mom, I found out that he was really my stepdad and that my real dad who I thought was just a family friend was actually... my dad," He explains.

"Holy shit," I say trying to take everything in.

"Yea I know... it's complicated but... still hurts though..." He trails off thoughtfully then it becomes silent between us for a few moments.

"Sorry," He apologizes, quickly glancing at me then back to the road.

"No, no it's ok... just wow," I exhale as I keep my eyes on him for a moment, then look down at the tray of coffee's in my lap, then I add "When my mom passed, it was so hard to deal with knowing she isn't really here anymore... same with Andy too. It's like this incredible heartbreak that just doesn't ever feel like it's going to go away,"

"It will eventually, with time... At least that's what they say," Eddie says and I glance back at him and give him a small smile while he does the same.

"Were you close with Andy too?" He asks.

"Oh yea, really close... Chris too... well we pretty much all were but I'd say Chris and Andy were like brothers y'know? He was my best friend. I'm an only child so he was always the one I could talk to if I needed someone... If couldn't talk to Chris for whatever reason. He was just... so sweet and like such a good person inside... y'know? If anyone was having a rough day or whatever, he was like the best person to talk to cause he would just make you forget and just..." My voice waivers as I explain and then I quickly look away from him and out the windshield trying my hardest not to cry.

Fuck, I miss him... if only I could've just saved him.

I feel Eddie glance back over at me as I try to get myself together. I definitely do not need to have a break down in front of him, of all people. I take in a deep breath and glance back at Eddie and just by his expression, I could tell that he was doing his best to comfort me.

"Looks like we're almost back at the studio," He says clearing his throat and gesturing to the road sign up ahead.

"Yea," I say quietly and after a little while, we pull up to the large cabin that was London Bridge Studios.

A/N: So I tried to make a play on a title I thought of "Could It Be Any Better?" but I might have failed miserably LMAO. Anyways, I know there wasn't much happening in this part, but I wanted to give a proper introduction to Eddie and so I feel like this is the best way to do so. Let me know what you think.

A/n: This was written for Chan’s 700 challenge which is hosted by @temperaryheart ! My first time ever entering a writing challenge and I’m super excited!! It is like 1 am, so please forgive any mistakes. But I’m tired hope you guys enjoy :)

You and Nick have been roommates ever since you were looking for a roommate to go half with on an apartment which was about 3 years. Being that the apartments in La were not cheap. At first, you thought that you weren’t going to find a roommate until you crossed paths with Nick. He had overheard you talking about needing a roommate.

“I’m sorry to eavesdrop but I couldn’t help overhearing you need a roommate. Honestly I’m trying to move out of my old apartment, I’d love to be your roommate,” the stranger gave you a small smile.

“Are you serious? Thank goodness! I’m Y/n nice to meet you,” you stuck your hand out waiting for him to introduce himself and shake your hand. He shook your hand and gave you a bigger smile.

“Hi, I’m Nick. It’s nice to meet you too,” and within a month he became your roommate.

“Y/n, come here for a second,” Nick yelled out to you. To which you replied with a quick “coming”. You walked downstairs to the living room finding Nick on the couch with his phone set up. You sat next to him and saw he was on live.

“The people wanna see you ma’am,” you have a wave to the camera and seen that the views went up.

“Nick, they like me more than you loser,” you let out a giggle and crossed your feet on the couch.

“I did not bring you down here just for you to bully me. It doesn’t work like that,” Nick crosses his arms with a pout making you kiss his cheek.

“Whatever you say shark boy,” you began to look at comments which was blowing up at the moment.

“Can they honestly just date already?”

“I’m so glad Nick met you Y/n”

“Aww best friend goals”

You guys stayed on live for an hour before Nick shut off his phone and gave you his full attention. You didn’t want to admit it but you harbored a crush for the boy. He had caught your heart the minute he gave you that signature smile. But you didn’t want to mess up a good friendship and didn’t want to lose him as a roommate either over a dumb crush.

“Ay ma, my family is inviting us to come out for Thanksgiving. You down to come?” Nick had hopeful eyes wanting you to say yes so bad. Truth was he had a crush on you too. The feelings were definitely mutual but neither one knew about the others feelings.

“Yes, I totally am down. I miss your family”, you hugged him and smiled. “Tell your mom I said thank you for inviting me”.

-Few weeks later-

Before you knew it both you and Nick were getting ready to go to the airport. Edwin and Brandon agreed to drop you guys off since it was the least they could do to take the stress off you guys. Knowing that an Uber could take 30 minutes or more to get to you guys and possibly make you both late.

“Is that everything?” Edwin questioned you as you placed your bag in the back. You tiredly nodded your head, being that you got no sleep whatsoever. For some reason you were nervous and didn’t know why.

“Are you okay mamas?” Nick wraps you into a loving embrace. Being in his arms felt so right and you never wanted to let go.

“I’m fine. Just really tired, I didn’t really get sleep last night,” you mumbled into his chest.

“Alright, let’s go lovers you don’t wanna miss your flight”, Brandon went into the driver's seat of the car. Quickly getting in the car, you guys were on your way to the airport. But of course, you fell asleep with your head in Nick’s lap.

“Hey, ma we’re at the airport. Wake up baby,” Nick gently rubbed your arm until you got up. Everyone got out the car and started getting out the bags. Nick held your mini Nike backpack for you and you wheeled your suitcase. Nick also had a suitcase and a small backpack but he wanted to help your tired self as much as he could. You gave Edwin and Brandon hugs before walking over to the checking in machine.

“Yo, please tell her you like her during this trip,” Brandon quietly told Nick. Nick slightly blushed and shook his head.

“Maybe but aye thanks for driving us. We appreciate it,” Nick hugged the two boys and walked over to you who was already at the suitcase check in with two tickets in hand.

“Come on Nick, hurry so we can get snacks before heading on the plane,” you gave him a smile.

Finally, you guys get on the plane and get seated. Luckily it was one of the seats where there’s only two seats and you got the window seat. Nick took out his phone and began a video for his insta story.

“We’re on the plane and mamas here is tired. Say what’s up Y/n,” you gave a small smile and wave. “Imagine looking this cute while being tired,” Nick ended the video right there and decided to take a nap along with you.

-After getting situated into the house-

You were so jet lagged and immediately after saying hi to his family with hugs, you went into the living room with Nick and laid on him.

“Hey guys, me and Y/n are finally in Jersey,” Nick waved to the viewers.

“Hi guys I’m tired. Like jet lag is a bitch,” you cuddled into Nick’s side more and he wrapped his arm around your waist.

“Nick we see that hand sir👀”

“Okay but they’re definitely dating”

“She does look really tired lmao”

“Y’all notice ever since Nick met Y/n, he’s been giving us hella content? Just me? Okay”

“Tell Y/n she looks adorable”

“Y/n, they want you to know that you adorable babygirl,” Nick chuckles because when he leaned down to look at you, he found you were dead asleep.

“Y’all she’s out like a light,” your hair was in your face and your hand gripped his shirt slightly. Nick couldn’t help but to swoon over how you look so good in his arms.

You don’t remember what time you fell asleep but you wake up to the smell of food. You lifted your head to see you were fully on Nick’s lap.

“Hey you’re up, I moved you from my side because it looked uncomfortable,” Nick held his hands at your waist.

“Thank you loser, but I smell food. I love you dearly and imma head out,” you get out of his lap and leave him to go to the kitchen. Chris pulled Nick aside to have a quick conversation.

“Nick, you need to man up and tell her your feelings before it becomes too late,” he said to his younger brother.

“Alright, I’ll do it now,” Nick walked into the kitchen where you were laughing with his mom and Mia. “Y/n, can I talk to you for a second?” You nodded and excused yourself. He leads you up to his old room and closes the door after you.

“I’ve known you for 3 years almost 4 now. You always amaze me with how smart and talented you are. You support me and the boys everyday and I love you for that. Yes, you’re my best friend but I have major feelings for you. And I know-“, you cut Nick off from his rant.

“Nick, I feel the same,” you smiled at him. He immediately picked you up and wrapped your legs around his waist.

“Soo will you officially be my girlfriend mamas?” He bit his lip to contain the smile that was about to grace his face.

“Yes, Nick Mara I will be your girlfriend officially,” you leaned your head down and kissed him.

“Finally, I get to actually kiss you instead of just looking at your lips 24/7,” you let out a laugh at his silliness.

“Wait, what about your fans? They aren’t going to take that Nick Mara is officially not single anymore,” you actually began to wonder what the reaction was going to be.

“That is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. Everyone swears we’re together, I mean, look at the comments,” Nick pointed out.

“Okay, that definitely makes sense. You right,” you both looked at each other before laughing.

“Wait, we gotta be extra and take a picture in the mirror,” Nick put you down and grabbed his phone out of his pocket. He then grabs your hand and walks to the bathroom. You turn on the light and stand in front of him. He wraps one arm around your shoulders pulling you into his chest. Your hands on top of his arm and you smile. But you smile even bigger when he turns his head to the side to kiss your cheek.

Once he took the different pictures with different poses, he opens Instagram and selects the pictures he wants. Some of which were you guys making funny faces and posted it. The caption being “She said yes to being my baby officially. Y’all I really love this girl to death❤️”.

“Okay babe, let’s finish eating. I’m very hungry,” he didn’t even get a chance to answer before you pulled him down the stairs back to the kitchen. Nick couldn’t help but smile because you really caught his heart 3 years ago and now he gets to call you his officially.

The car slowed down to a stop as he looked out the window. “Wait… isn’t this that new fancy restaurant you were talking about?” Chris turned to look at me. “I know you said we were going out to eat but I thought you meant McDonald’s or something. Why are we here?” That’s right. I haven’t told him yet. Oh boy, he’s going to freak. “Are you going to propose to me for the free dessert again?” He joked. “We don’t do that all the time.” I laughed.

“Wait you’re not about to propose for real, are you? Finally gonna make an honest man of me, huh?” He smiled “Well, if you must know, we’re going to be eating in here.” He tilted his head slightly and gave me a confused look. “We’re eating here? I’m uh not exactly dressed for the venue, though I did wonder why you started putting on your makeup and new dress for a fast food place.” Now I really wish I had told him before. “If you saw me getting dolled up and change into something nice, why didn’t you?” He shrugged his shoulders.

“I just assumed you thought one of the workers was cute.” Well, I guess it’s now or never. “Chris um.. tengo que decirte algo.” He looked me and nodded his head, an indication that I continue. “We’re actually here for Sebastián’s wedding reception..” I bit my lip, nervous of his reaction. “Qué? You’re not seriously telling me this, are you? Okay, what the hell are we doing here?” I sighed. “He invited me to his wedding.”

Christopher isn’t the type of person who doesn’t normally get upset. This, however, might have triggered something in him and I don’t blame him. “He invited you to the wedding? What is he trying to do? Rub in your face for the fact that he left you for this girl? You know I can’t stand the guy.” I know I know you can’t. I’m sorry that I’m dragging you into this. “It’s not like that. I told him that I found someone else.” If he wasn’t upset before, he’s not going to like what I’m about to ask of him. “Oh? You’ve told him you’ve moved on? Con quien?” I looked down in embarrassment. “I sort of.. kind of.. made him up..”

“No you’re kidding me. You made up a new boyfriend?” I nodded. “When he invited me to his wedding, I freaked and asked him if I could bring a plus two for my boyfriend and Chris, I can’t go alone!” He just shook his head. “I know you’re my best friend, but this means I’m aloud to call you out for being crazy.” I just gave him a look and glanced at the building in front of us. “What is he called? Is this a full time imaginary friend?” I cleared my throat. “Well.. no..” I don’t want an imaginary friend, I want you. Why did I agree to go to this? “Hang on.. why am I here?”

“Umm..” C’mon! You have to let him know! “Are you gonna tell him that your boyfriend was on a business trip or something? He won’t be happy to see me. After your breakup we had uh.. conversation.” This is so embarrassing. “No, I didn’t tell him.” Oh, boy. Can’t he figure this out without me having to tell him? “So you haven’t told him that your fake boyfriend couldn’t come, okay. What will he say when he asks about your new love interest?” Is he really gonna make me say it? Well, I guess this is what I get for not informing him about this beforehand. “About that um.. I was wondering if you could.. maybe be.. my..” I can’t get the words out.

“O - Oh.. you want me to be your boyfriend?” I gave him a nervous smile. “Please?” He glanced out the window and then back at me. “Um.. no.” I was shocked, but not entirely surprised. “What why?” He shook his head and moved his hair away from his face. “No he already thought I was in love with you when you were dating. I’m not adding fuel to that fire.” I turned to fully face him. “Please, Christopher help me out! I can’t do this by myself!” I’m literally begging at this point. “No no I can’t and don’t pull the “but you love me and I’m your best friend” card because that has gotten me in so much trouble since we were kids.”

“Aye Díos, Christopher por favor. I promise I’ll make it up to you! Whatever you want!” Please don’t let me go in there alone without you. This is humiliating as it already is. This is my fault. He grumbled and sighed. “Fine. Okay okay.. I’ll be your Prince Charming, but you owe me a nice steak dinner, alright?” I practically jumped on him and gave him a hug. “Oh my God, gracias Christopher! I’ll take you out for your steak dinner after this.”

“No no no a nice one.” I smiled. “Of course. A nice steak dinner. I promise.” I sighed in relief. “You know you’re my favorite person, right?” I chuckled. “Yeah I know.” He smiled. “But you could’ve at least worn me not to wear jeans.” I gave him a small frown. “I’m sorry about that.” He reached over and opened the door. We walked out and started walking to the venue. “You do look very handsome though.” I smiled at him. “Enserio?” He laughed. “Gracias, but it’s too late to be buttering me up. There better be an open bar.”

I raised an eyebrow. “What? I’m looking for the perks. Seeing your ex boyfriend is definitely not a perk, but free food.. bars.. are always a prize.” He stopped walking suddenly and glanced down at me. “If we’re gonna do this, we need to make it look real so.. hold out your hand, please.” I held up my hand and he grabbed my favorite ring. “What are you doing?” I asked him “I’m moving your ring to your wedding ring finger and will talk about how romantic my proposal was last week and I’m thinking somewhere exotic like uh.. like a Buenos Aires somewhere - ”

“What about Disney?” I cut him off. He gave me a look and chuckled. “You seriously want to say Disney World?” I smiled at him. “Yeah, why not? It can be romantic.”

“Fine, I proposed at Disney World.” He chuckled. “In front of the castle and everybody was crying with joy. Whatever you want, princesa.” He held onto my hand. “Let’s go.” We made our way inside the building. It was filled with so many faces. Some recognizable as I have already met some of his family before we split. “I will hold your hand and you just try to look like you want to be here. Fair deal?”

I nodded as we made our way to one side of the room. People were dancing and chatting amongst themselves. I looked up at him and realized that he looks a little tense. “Are you happy to be here with me?” I asked as I placed y hand o his arm. He just chuckled. “Of course I’m happy to be here with you. You just get me into the craziest situations sometimes.” He joked.

“Remember that night that you - ” He stopped as his focus was suddenly somewhere else. “Oh wait, your ex is coming our way. Remember, we’re the perfect happy couple with Disney magic, apparently.” He held onto my hand as Sebastián made his way to us. “Hey guys.” He smiled. “Hola! Congratulations on tying the knot and thank you for the invite. It really means a lot to us that you wanted us here.” Christopher responded. He glanced at me and chuckled. “Hey, (Y/N).” I gave him a smile. “Hey Sebastián.”

“So, where’s your so called “boyfriend”, hmm?” He glanced at the two of us. “Couldn’t make it or something?” Chris grinned. “Her boyfriend? She didn’t tell you?” He looked confused for a second. “Tell me what?” He glared at the both of us and placed his hands on his waist. “We got together a few months after you uh.. yeah. I just realized I was in love with her and I couldn’t almost let her get away from me again. I just adore her so much.”

He leaned in and kissed my cheek. My face must’ve been so red at that moment. Calm down, (Y/N). It’s… all for show. He leaned closer to my ear and whispered. “He looks annoyed that we’re happy. I swear you’re a terrible influence on me. I’m bragging at his wedding.” He pulled away all too soon and turned his attention back to him.

“Sorry, I was just asking her if we could share our news with you or whether it be inappropriate, being your wedding day and all.” He just shook his head and glared at me. “No, by all means. Tell me, I’m interested.” Oh here we go. This ought to be interesting. “I just can’t wait to tell everybody that we’ve made it official! We’ve only just returned from our holiday when I asked her to marry me. Isn’t that amazing?” He held up my hand and showed him the ring on my wedding finger. “He proposed in Disney World, in front of the castle.” I smiled. “Really?” He asked.

“Yes what she said, in uh Disney. It’s always been her dream for that to happen, right?” He brought my hand up to his lips and placed a kiss. “I’m so.. happy for you guys.” He smiled. “Uh congratulations.”

“Well, whatever mi prometido wants, I try to make it happen. She deserves to be happy. I want her to know how much I love her..” He looked down at me and had a small smile on his face. If only he knew how much I loved him back. He cleared his throat and broke our eye contact. “Yes, sorry of course you must have other guests to welcome. Sorry about that. She’s just so perfect. I just sometimes get lost in my thoughts when I look at her.”

Sebastián just nodded. “I’m uh happy for you guys. I should get going. Lot’s of people are coming in so..” Chris gave a short wave. “Well, I hope you have a good night. Congrats again, we hope you have a great honeymoon.” He walked away and I felt like I could breathe again. I noticed a slow song started playing and couples slowly made their way to the dance floor.

“Gracias a Díos that he’s gone. He doesn’t get any more interesting, does he?” I laughed. “I guess not.” Since my hand was already in his, he pulled me closer to him and started walking. “C’mon, let’s dance.” I stopped in my steps and shook my head. “Oh no, I’m fine really.” He raised his eyebrow and smiled. “I know you love this song. I can see you taping your foot. It’ll be fun.”

“Chris, I..” He walked closer to me, seeing as I wasn’t going to move any further. “I know you say you’re a terrible dancer, but if I put my hands here..” He placed his hands on my waist. “And you wrap your arms around here..” and grabbed my wrists and placed them around the back of his neck. We were now chest to chest. I want to stay in this moment with him forever. “Just sway a little and uh haha I’ll do the rest, okay?”

We started to sway back and forth, eyes locking onto each other. “I know I’m talking a lot. I always do when I get nervous.” He’s nervous? “Why are you nervous?” I asked him. “I.. I guess it’s the pressure.” Not fully believing him, I just nodded. “Sure, Chris. It’s just the pressure.” He shook his head, a smile forming onto his lips. “Alright alright I just feel like.. I don’t know.. I didn’t realize how much I’ve wanted to say that you you for years.”

“Say what?” He twirled me around and brought me back close to his body. I felt him get a little tense. “Uh.. t - to say that.. to say that I’m..” He took a deep breath. “To say that I’m in love with you.” I just stared at him in awe. He’s.. in love with me? How.. I didn’t.. I never knew he felt the same. “I don’t.. I don’t want to make things awkward.” Coming back to earth, I asked him. “How long have you felt this way about me?”

He sighed and thought for a moment. “God, how long have we been friends? Since we were six, right?” Since we were kids.. oh my God. “Since that moment we met.” Our dancing became more slower as he continued to confess to me. “Every bad relationship you’ve had and heartbreak you’ve suffered through, I just wanted to tell you I wouldn’t treat you like that because I am in love with you. But you’d always thank me for being your best friend and.. you know, I couldn’t tell you then.”

“Why are you telling me now?” He frowned, and his gaze shifted between my eyes and my lips. “I’m only telling you now because I can’t keep acting like I’m not dying to kiss you when your lips pucker because you’re trying to concentrate.” One of his hands traveled up my body to play with a stand of my hair. “I can’t keep pretending I don’t want to wrap my arms around you when your back is turned or that I don’t lie awake at night wondering what it would be like to wake up next to you and be there when you open your eyes and smile at me.”

I can’t believe this is happening to me right now. He’s in love with me… he’s in love with me! “Um.. ahh I can.. I can get a cab home. I realized how awkward this must be for you.”

“Why can’t I keep my mouth shut?” He mumbled to himself. Why can’t I bring myself to say anything? Speak up (Y/N)! “Look I.. I understand if you want me to leave you alone for a while so you can figure how to turn me down without feeling guilty or whatever I..”

“I love you too.” I said. He stared at me, shock written all over his face. “What? Uh.. say - say that again.” He chuckled. I played with the back of his hair and smiled at him. “I.. I love you too.” He grabbed one of my hands and held onto it. “But you never said anything.”

“Did you?” I retorted back at him. “Touché, I guess I didn’t either.” I could no longer hear the music playing in the background, for my attention was solely in him and only him. “Please don’t leave me.” I mumbled, afraid he didn’t hear me, but he did. “I’m not - I’m not going anywhere. I promise I won’t leave you alone at a wedding.”

“That’s sweet, but I wasn’t quite talking about that..”

“Oh, you meant not to leave you alone to.. think things through, right. Well I.. um promise I won’t do that either.” It felt like we were the only two people in the room. Nothing else mattered but this moment here in time. “So what now?” I asked. “Well, we don’t have to stay here if you don’t want to. We can go get ice cream and talk things through. I guess there’s a lot we never said to each other.”

“But, we only just got here.” I told him. “Yes, I know we only got here like.. however many minutes ago. Well, how about we dance until the end of this song? You’re not such a bad dancer after all, mi amol.” I blushed as he leaned in and kissed my cheek, as he did earlier. “Te ves preciosa esta noche, mi corazón. I should have said that to you earlier. You could outshine the bride if we stay longer, so we better be kind and go before we ruin her evening.” He chuckled. He’s such a sweet talker sometimes. I looked at the ring and started to move it back to its original place. He notice and grabbed my hand.

“No uh.. keep it on. I like seeing it and thinking about our imaginary Disney engagement. I wonder if Mickey and Minnie were there?” He joked. I pushed him away from me, laughing. “Of course they were.” I smiled at him. He glanced down at the ring and placed a kiss on top of it. “One day.. one day I’ll get you a real one. I promise, but that’s a conversation to have some other time.” A future with Chris is something I can’t wait for.

“Now, let’s go. We can do the love story stereotype and split a sundae.”

“No, I won’t be able to get any because you always eat most of it!” We both laughed. “Alright, we can get two so you don’t miss out on ice cream, geez. This is why I’m in love with you. You think of all the little things.” I bit my lip as the song ended. We started to make our way out of the building as I couldn’t stop thinking about what he said. “Can you please say that again?”

“Say what again? I love you?” I nodded, wanting to hear it come from his sweet lips again. “I’ll say it to you so often, you’ll get tired of hearing it.” He laughed. “I don’t care because it’s from you.” We both stopped in our tracks as he turned to fully face me. I can’t believe I get to call him mine.

“I love you.. more than anything or anybody and I mean it nena.”

I’m autistic and one of the things I have trouble with is change. I’ve watched 911 since the third episode and now they have a second one? Idk. I’ve been seeing a lot of good things about it but I’m not sure if I want to watch it. Basically what I want to know is if it’s worth watching. Is it good? Are there any parallels between the new one and the Buck one? Who are the characters and what are they like? Will you start writing for this series instead of the other one? %

so, this got WAY longer than i thought it would, sorry!!! TL;DR is at the very very end!

tbh i didn’t wanna really give 911 lonestar a chance originally, i was lowkey annoyed bc it felt like they were like “oh u guys want buck and eddie, who are CLEARLY meant to be and have all this canon chemistry and relationship development to eventually get together??? lol NOPE but here’s a spinoff where u get ur white/latino gay ship :D”

which i do genuinely hope to god isn’t the case, like, i really need OG 911 to be like PSYCH here u go, some DIAZ-BUCKLEY fam. as a treat.

i did end up watching it bc curiosity and too many awesome gifsets finally got to me lol

and im only a couple of episodes in (haven’t had a chance to watch the 3rd ep bc of work and other things D: ) and so far i gotta say, i like the OG 911 calls that they get sent to more than 911 lonestars calls but again, im only 2 ep in, maybe they get more “woah thats crazy/hilarious/hearbreaking!” as the show goes on.

i honestly don’t see too many parallels between Buck and TK—the only thing i noticed where they’re pretty similar is how much they both enjoy easy physical contact. buck is very touchy feely and comfortable about showing affection/feelings and i feel like TK is the same regarding physical contact (with his dad at least)? but that’s about it.

for what it’s worth i do think the show is pretty entertaining and worth a watch!

my main reason for watching past the first episode is my enjoyment of the characters. i just think they’re all neat.

owen strand is the captain (played by rob lowe) and to me he gives off chris traeger vibes (from parks and rec if u watched?) but with more depth. i like his character a lot, he’s a caring dad, seems like he knows what he’s doing, and like, c’mon, it’s rob lowe (i fell in love with him a million years ago when he played soda pop in the outsiders nipr;guebwuogrnofw)

tk is his son and a hot gay mess w some substance abuse issues (tho a lot has happened to him in only 2 ep i really don’t know how to feel about him entirely, bc besides stuff happening TO him, i don’t feel like he’s reacted in a way that shows much of his character?) idk maybe it’s just me. but he is a certified cutie so. lol

grace ryder, she’s smart (one of the only characters with more than ONE brain cell lmao) and gorgeous and an emergency 911 operator. she’s very supportive of her husband and what he’s going thru (which is A LOT), she herself has been thru a lot bc of the big incident at the beginning of the series and is still somehow held strong in spite of it all, she’s a personal fave of mine.

judd ryder is kind of a dick at first but i think its very understandable given the hell he’s been thru, im actually surprised at the amount that i like him. he’s very raw and vulnerable but has this “don’t worry im fine, back up” attitude that i loooove.

captain blake is the captain for EMTs, she’s got this soft teeny baby voice that contradicts so hard with her give no fucks ima do what i need to to find my missing sister actions irwughqwgoriegjf i like. she’s caring and does goes out of her way for the little guy.

marjan has ZERO chill but in a good way, i can already absolutely see her getting into trouble by doing some crazy impulsive thing on a call in order to rescue someone—-TBH she actually reminds me a lot of Buck from OG 911 in that way. like yea she’s reckless and impulsive but u can tell its bc she CARES and this firefighting thing is what she’s meant to do. i really like her.

mateo—-OH MAN. he’s 10000000% my favorite. it hurts me everytime he’s on screen, bc he’s such a sweet and HARD WORKING man and he deserves to be a firefighter and do what he wants/has been waiting for for so long, im so HAPPY captain strand gives him a chance. i think he might have some learning disability or maybe he grew up in a household where maybe his family was too busy or didn’t care to check up on how he was doing in school and they neglected to see how much he was struggling—this is all just pure speculation from the fact that on the show he tells captain strand during the interview that he’s always passed the physical exam to be a firefighter but keeps failing the written part :( i love my son.

paul is a trans firefighter who’s mainly known for his crazy good observational skills in the field—there’s an ep—ep 2?—that shows off his talent but like, i found it unintentional funny bc the way they did it was in a scene that honestly truly felt to me like a scene I MYSELF would write in a fanfiction if i wanted to show off a cool skill the character has but was also too lazy to make it look good???? lmaoooo im not trying to be mean but like, if u do watch it, its the 2nd ep i believe, the “office meeting” scene. other than that tho there’s only been a few scenes with paul in it (my personal fave being the skin care routine scene lol) but i look forward to more scenes of my son being a lil sherlock holmes :)

officer reyes is tk’s potential new mans. he seems like a good cop from what little ive seen of him doing police work. so, i saw a post someone made basically saying how ugly are the men in texas that officer reyes is out here thirsting over tk so HARD—and not to be rude, but he really is!!!! reyes is a goodlookin guy, so idk what’s up with that, maybe he likes messy bois? bc same.

p.s. im not sure how to feel about reyes and tk together yet bc it doesn’t really seem as if they have too much chemistry. hopefully that changes? i do kinda like that they haven’t started off their potential relationship on the best of foots, bc i love drama, an indisputable fact.

ONTO THE FINAL QUESTION!

OG 911 will always be my first love and i just don’t see this changing anytime soon. buddie will always be the #1 ship in my heart! and i have about a gazillion awesome prompts i need to work on so me switching over to 911 lonestar isn’t gonna happen. i love OG 911 way too much iuqhur4ogfoie3jwnwjinioj

tho i may occasionally—per the request of prompts i’ve gotten in the last week or so–take a couple of the characters from 911 lonestar and put them in a 911 fic as a crossover? we’ll see.

What song are you listening to right now? I’m not listening to anything but the last song I played was Violet by Daniel Caesar; I don’t actually know the song but it was part of a playlist on Spotify. Admit it -- you want a Snuggie. What design/color? I don’t even know what that is, but if it came in pink I’d want one. Do you prefer movies at home or movies at the theatre? Home is cozier and costs much less, haha. valerie’s outer facade is the typical rich girl, with money pouring out of her pockets. her parents own a surgical practice and they excel at their jobs and she also is part of the archibald family wealth.

she sleeps around and seems like a careless person on the exterior. but like i said that’s only her outer facade since she doesn’t feel like that’s who she is. she’s always felt more reckless and rebellious than pristine and pink. she still loves the attention and likes being the center of attention and that’s why she acts the way she does.

she’s never fallen in love but i mean she’s young so?? in a way she’s never felt a deep connection with someone unless it is sex. she is not a sex addict in any way but that’s just her way of expressing her feelings?? since she doesn’t know any better?? since her parents weren’t present in her life a lot due to work. cliche af but whatever.

the only mother figure she ever had was fired a few years ago because an issue valerie created, so she feels responsible for losing such an important person in her life and not having parental figures in her life.she loves to party and drink and hang around with everyone, she’s pretty approachable but she’s also judgmental and she’ll decide if you are worth her time.

BAD INFLUENCE: a pretty basic one, i almost slap myself. this is just the person who knows val’s darkest desires and shares them or isn’t too afraid to try them with her and even pushes their bad habits on her. keeps her from getting out of the dark side. lmao.

WELL. We have to face the obvious; everyone exhibits traits of being in each house because humans are diverse like that. This is completely based on if none of them requested any certain house (because honestly the moment Bitty found out Hufflepuff was near the kitchen he’d be thinking it hard as fuck and the sorting hat would be like “alrighty lets go” and Nursey would be completely determined to be Ravenclaw because they’re the ~intellectuals~)

And I’m gonna be completely honest. I see Dex as less a Slytherin and more a Hufflepuff??? I know Dex is like, constantly angry, but let’s take a look. William Poindexter worked hard to be able to pay for his equipment himself. He’s a pretty dedicated guy too (I’m telling you this now, as a would-be Computer Science major turned English major, no one goes into that field of study if they aren’t 1) naturally talented or 2) determined as fuck to do it which leads you to dedicating yourself to it). He argues with Nursey, yes, but he offered to fix Betsy and I’m sure if you first meet him he’s an alright guy (unless you’re Nursey). Loyalty. If you tell William Poindexter that someone has slighted you he will probably try to commit a crime. This man is fiercely loyal. And I mean, even though he’s in hockey, he’s about fair play. If he drops his gloves it’s probably in response to someone else dropping theirs. Unafraid of Toil. I’m just gonna say Derek Nurse and end that one there lol.

So yeah, I’ll argue that Dex is a Hufflepuff. A reluctant Hufflepuff, but a Huffpuff nonetheless.

Nursey… hmmm. Alright, I’ll bite that Nursey could be a Ravenclaw. I know most people might argue and go “But that’s so stereotypical!” but hear me out a little, okay? I don’t see Derek Nurse as too much of a Slytherin. This could be me as a Ravenclaw projecting (lmao) but let’s run through those traits a bit? Intelligence. That goes without saying for our boy Nursey. If anyone ever assumes Nursey isn’t intelligent I will actually have to find and fight you. Wit. William Poindexter. Nuff said. I dunno much about Wisdom because I’m not a person who I consider wise, but my friends say I am, because I do give a lot of advice I never actually take. So, ya know. @ Nursey, dishin out advice he never takes himself. Creativity and originality??? Why do I even have to explain this one??? That boy is creative and original as all fuck, and if you say otherwise I will kick your ass. The door to the common room just opens for him because whenever they’re asked a question Nursey confuses the fuck out of the Eagle by answering with a question of his own that could be an answer itself. So he’s got creativity and originality down. Acceptance is a trickier one. Nursey’s not… unaccepting of others? But himself… Hmmmmm….. As for the individuality, well. There’s no one like Nursey but Nursey.

Chowder is… I’d say Chowder was also Hufflepuff. BUT being a hufflepuff does not mean he is not fierce, and wise, and daring. Being a Hufflepuff does not make him the “sweet summer child” or “baby goalie” that people are always calling him. He is loyal, and kind, and dedicated, and patient. Good Jesus, is he patient. Dealing with all the bullshit he goes through? Not fucking snapping on someone? Good God he’s probably the most patient on the team. And when he gets on the ice? Loyal. He will defend the FUCK out of that goddamned net. Hella tolerant, to deal with all the racism he gets. Dedicated to his team, because he felt like he had let them down after that defining game that knocked them out of the frozen four. His kindness goes without saying, but don’t you dare mistake Chris Chow’s kindness for weakness, because when he has to, he can get downright mean. Fair play? Please, don’t even talk to me about this. If someone dropped their gloves at Chowder the entire SMH would be on them, because you don’t drop gloves at their goalie when he’s done nothing but his job on the team. Get pissed elsewhere, boi, Chowder did nothing wrong. His hard work goes without saying, because he played his hardest during that defining game, and also. Computer Science major.

So? Chowder the Hufflepuff? I’d say yes. However. I’d also argue that Chowder got placed in Gryffindor when he was being sorted. The sorting hat saw something in him, something told it that Chowder belonged there. You know who I can kinda see as being sort of a parallel? Neville, in a way. You don’t realize how important he is until that singular moment when you need him the most.

Alrighty. Bitty. Where does Eric Richard Bittle belong? Bitty’s placement took quite a bit more thought honestly. I wanted to say he was a Hufflepuff, but part of me… sees Bitty as a Slytherin? Now don’t get me wrong. You can be kind and still be a Slytherin. You can be caring and be a Slytherin. You don’t have to be bad to be a Slytherin. But I could be basing this entirely off the fact that Eric Richard Bittle bribed his way into a class, and off the way Bitty will throw shade in his own way. He was a sophomore not really allowed in a class. Resourcefulness comes in when he bribes his way in. Took quite a bit of ambition and determination because he was going to get into that damned class. I’d say he was clever and cunning, though maybe that’s more fanon Bitty than canon Bitty I’m thinking of. But maybe not. Who knows.

My end piece? Bitty is a Slytherin. He asked to be placed in Hufflepuff.

JACK. JACK LAURENT ZIMMERMANN. I don’t wanna go too in depth with Jack and I know a bunch of people are gonna be like “ugh” but I totally see Jack as a Hufflepuff too. And by this point ya’ll are like “god why is he putting so many folks in Hufflepuff???” and I’m just gonna say IF THE BOOT FITS. Jack the Hufflepuff is the MOST plausible out of all the houses. Dedicated (to his sport, his team, and his boyfriend), hard working (he became his own Zimmermann to stand out from just being Bad Bob’s son), fair (come on now), tolerant (maybe not in the beginning, but eventually), loyal (his boyfriend. His friends). Patient (those checking clinics that eventually paid off) and Kind (he knew he was wrong for treating Bitty the way he did but eventually he came around that). Like. Jack the Hufflepuff? I will actually literally fight you if you try to say anything less.

Close out on this one? Jack is a Hufflepuff who everyone thought too gruff to be a ‘Puff.

Shitty B. Knight. Totally, completely, utterly, entirely a Ravenclaw. Honestly he probably asked for Ravenclaw anyway to spite his dad a bit, but the sorting hat already knew where it was putting him. Shitty is probably one of the most accepting folks on campus; he’s an individual that stands out among others. He’s original and creative, and he’s got quite a bit of wisdom to impart on the young folk. Witty as fuck too. The intelligence goes without saying.

Lardo is… hmm. Lardo could be Slytherin, or Ravenclaw, but honestly I see her more as a Gryffindor? Okay, hear me out a bit. I’m not of Asian descent so this is coming entirely from my experiences with my Korean, Filipino, and Chinese descent friends. Larissa Duan might have had to deal with constantly being told that she needed to be smart and come out as a doctor or scientist or something, constantly pressured to fit into a mold made for her. But she chose, willingly, to be different and to define herself with something her family probably didn’t approve of at first; art. It’s daring in a way; she dared to be different and had the courage and bravery to stick by her choice, likely even in the face of prejudice from family members. I AM NOT SAYING I KNOW THIS FOR CERTAIN. I do not know how the Vietnamese feel about stuff like this and I do not want to stereotype. All Asian culture is not the same and I’m drawing from the info from Filipino and Korean people I know. If anyone takes offense from this please let me know and I will take this part of the post down.

I honestly think Lardo is brave though. To be dealing with all the shit she’s had to put up with from the SMH as their manager? Definitely hella brave. Lardo fits for a Gryffindor imo.

Ransom and Holster would likely be placed in the same house upon their choice, which might be Gryffindor. But I’m gonna place them separately because they are still two separate people

Ransom, to me, seems to fit more snuggly as a Ravenclaw. He’s one of the more out there Ravenclaws who likely belonged in Gryffindor (he asked for it). But his intelligence is something that needs to be factored in. And I think he earns points for creativity with Hockey Shit. Ransom is actually kind of hard to pin down entirely, because he draws quite a few traits from Gryffindor and Hufflepuff. But I’d say he was pretty accepting and he might even have a bit of wisdom for the younger ones. I see him (and by extension Holster) sort of like Fred and George (Does that make Holster Fred? -looks over at Wingman-), tricksters almost, but not really? It’s kind of hard to pin him down for sure. Justin Oluransi, you sure are a hard one to sort.

For now, I’m gonna say Ransom is a Ravenclaw until contested.

Holster. Ransom’s platonic soul mate. His heterosexual(?) life partner. Adam Birkholtz. You, sir, are also a hard one to completely pin down. However, after quite a bit of debating, I decided you belonged in Slytherin. It was not easy. You definitely asked for Gryffindor, you little shit, and that’s where I want you to stay honestly. But I’m trying to base this on not asking for houses and I’m pretty sure the sorting hat got mad at you for not being easy to pin down and then shoving you in Slytherin when you said something smart. But I think you’d fit there, honestly. Cunning, resourceful, determined. That sounds like you. FRATERNITY. That’s completely, utterly, entirely you, because you will defend the fuck out of your team. I would say you were a bit clever, too. Who knows?

Aaron: Aaron’s a good friend and a part of my high school friend group. We don’t see each other anymore but we’ll sometimes bump into each other on campus. Adam Aisha Alanna Alex: There’s someone in my college with this name. She sings and is taking up broadcast communication. Alexa: Someone from my high school batch. Was a popular girl and a little too sassy for my liking. I think she’s moved to Australia now. Alexandria Allegra Allie: It’s spelled Alli, but she’s a member of our rival org. She’s the fakest bitch I know and ugh, she’s just so rotten and loves to talk shit about people behind their backs. I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s said anything about me. Allison: This was the name of my Comm 100 instructor. I found her really pretty but she doesn’t teach very well. She’s also taking up her Masters in the same department, which explains why she did one sem of teaching.

Alondra Amanda: I have an orgmate named Amanda. She’s taking up engineering but I’ve forgotten which sub-branch. Super quiet girl but I found her reliable in the few times I worked with her. Amber Amie: It’s spelled Aimee but whatever. Rich girl, is the equivalent of a white girl where I live. Is dating one of the star basketball players from Ateneo. Ana Anaïs Andreas Andrew: Dude from my course. Likes wrestling, is funny and has good insights, but is a little too clingy for my liking. Also feels as though he’s friends with everyone which can feel a tad bit invasive. Angela: My best friend’s name is Angela. Angelica: Sweet girl from my course who is super passionate about science journalism. A little dorky but I like her, and I find her really sweet. I’m not close with her enough to know Ari’s full name lmao. Ashley Ashna Audrey: Someone from my batch. She stayed in UP Los Banos for a while, but she’s since moved to my campus but I’m not sure what course she’s taking. My bets are Math or Architecture, but I can be wrong. Austin Becky: Nasty fake bitch from my AJPunk days. I had a close-knit group of friends during these days and we were all brought together just by our love for wrestling and our favorite ship at the time. She was a part of it too, but someone discovered her private Twitter and it was just her saying a bunch of mean, nasty things about everyone else in the group, including me. I don’t know much about her other than the fact that she once dated a dude from one of the popular bands from our scene who played the saxophone. She was 3-4 years older, I don’t really remember; but she was one of the nicer older students and always spoke to us on the bus. She’s since moved to California and I never got to talk to her anymore. Camryn Carmen Caro Caroline: Jane’s middle name is Caroline. Casilda Cecile Cecily Chanel Chloe: Another high school batchmate. I remember her as being kind of a snob and would look down on people who weren’t popular. She was always kind to me though so that was nice. She’s one of Gabie’s two best friends.
