Kooshes are kind of coming back. They might not be in schools because a challenge to sanitize. I remember being a tot in the early 90s and having an actual phobia of them (did not trust how they moved and they smelled weird). I couldn't be in the same room where one was *known* to lurk, even if it was out of sight. I was diagnosed with autism at 12 and I look back and go "Oh that explains a lot"

Ohhh interesting! They did smell weird and kind of moved like they were alive.

Great point about them being hard to sanitize!
