oh my gosh okay so during rep era, a fan made these pamphlets explaining kaylor and iirc actually handed them out at her rep tour concert!! the bravery. so it’s a sort of rep era classic fandom moment.
i couldn’t find the source post right away (someone please add more info if you remember!) but if you google image search for “kaylor i want to believe pamphlet” you can find a few images from the pamphlet. here are a few pages that i found:

LAVENDER HAZE ALTERNATIVE INTERPRETATION <3
So I was reading this article about how lesbians love Taylor and a new meaning of the chorus of Lavender Haze formed as i read.
Lavender is related to homosexuality since the end of 19th century, and knowing damn well Taylor loves dropping hairpins in her lyrics, i think the lavender she refers to in this song is the "lavender marriage" and not only the meaning taken from that 1950's show. So moving into analysis:
“I feel the lavender haze creeping up on me" -> "i can see the lavender marriage (relationship/beard) becoming stronger and more credible for everyone and becoming an important part of my public persona"
"Surreal, I’m damned if I do give a damn what people say" -> "this situation is surreal because i got a long-time boyfriend so people would stop speculating about my love life but things just got worst because now they even say we're secretly engaged/married/pregnant so i better don't get lost (AGAIN) in all those things fans and media say"
"No deal, the 1950s shit they want from me” -> "but what they don't know is that i don't really want all the shit they're praying for"
"I just wanna stay in that lavender haze" -> (here it changes the meaning of the lavender haze) "i just wanna remain hidden with my true lover in the fog this lavander relationship (marriage) has created"
See where this goes?
Well, this also connects with the bridge:
"Talk your talk and go viral/i just need this love spiral/get it off your chest/get it off my desk" -> "i don't really like the situation but you're making the hard work of promoting the relationship for me while i can mind my business with whoever i want so just keep talking and speculating"
In conclusion, Lavender Haze and Midnights as a whole are up to more than one interpretation, and both the "official" and the others are definitely queer af.
How do hetlors genuinely believe that her recent songs are all about the same obvious person and don't have any hidden deeper meaning? They're the ones claiming that Taylor is easter egg's queen, but then they'll look away when we queer folks point out the cool ones.

"The Alchemy" = Karlie's POV of how she's going to take Taylor from Travis?

Karlie showing up at the Eras Tour! Taylor didn't spend long enough with either of the beards for "so long" to make any sense as being about them. How do you make a comeback when you're barely a thing to begin with? Karlie's comeback was headline news though.
"So when I touch down
Call the amateurs and cut 'em from the team
Ditch the clowns, get the crown"
Her football fan baby ("fly like a jet stream") is touching down and coming to sweep away the understudies, users, narcissists and clowns. King of my Heart coming to reclaim her crown! We can only hope 🙏
"Cause the sign on your heart says it's still reserved for me"
Taylor can rewrite history all she wants, but Tratty was never a thing and no-one with a brain can buy the idea that he was the love of her life ten years ago, while Kissgate was happening right in front of him. Peak Kaylor era. When we all saw with our own eyes how she looked at Karlie! But, no, it was Matty all along! Sure, Jan.
Meanwhile, even the "anyone but Karlie" Gaylors who hate her can't deny Taylor has been writing songs about Karlie for a decade now. Even they think she's not over her. So who "still" has Taylor's heart and could make a comeback? Mmhmm.
"I circled you on a map"
Flashback to Taylor highlighting Kaylor-related towns on the weather map in the Lavender Haze music video. Uh-huh.
"Who are we to fight the alchemy?"
Alchemy is the process of turning things into gold. Are we really going to sit here and pretend this isn't Ms Gold Rush, Ms "it's like your eyes are liquor, it's like your body is gold"? Are we really going to pretend Karlie hasn't been gold coded since the beginning? But no! This is about Travis! Totally! Does your blindfold fit snugly enough, babe, or do you want me to tighten it some more for you? 🙄
"Hey, what if I told you we're cool
That child's play back in school
Is forgiven under my rule?"
The child's play is the bearding. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. It's getting so old to never grow up. Karlie is saying it all means nothing.
"These blokes warm the benches
We've been on a winning streak"
Her British beards have just been keeping Karlie's seat warm. While she and Taylor have privately been on a winning streak.
(Seriously, the construction of this song makes no sense if you believe it's about Travis. How could she have been "on a winning streak" with him, while "these blokes" were present-tense warming the benches? Or are we supposed to believe they're just waiting on the sidelines for Taylor to get back with one of them? Even though things are so great with 🚜 and she's said multiple times she doesn't want that? So . . . how is any of this working, exactly? What benches are they warming? Are we SURE the "we" is Travis? Hmm?)
"He jokes it's heroin but this time with an e"
People are so distracted by this "dig at Matty" they can't see what's right in front of their faces. Heroin with an e = heroine. As in, the female hero of a story. The joke is that the one to "save" Taylor won't be any of these jokers dressing up as kings. It's a woman. A HEROINE. Not a hero.
And then we get a football metaphor everyone will assume is about Travis, even though Karlie's love of football is well-documented. Do we really think Travis cares more about the beard he's made his meal ticket than he does about winning a trophy? Yeah, right. The days of wasted celebration with no Taylor in sight really give that impression. The thirst traps he was liking on Instagram while "dating" Taylor really show he only has eyes for her. Totally.
Meanwhile we have a million songs where Taylor tells us all her obviously-Karlie lover ever wanted was her.
I can't see The Alchemy any other way than as a Karlie comeback song. Bring it home, Karlie! We're all rooting for you! Go! Fight! Win! 🏆

You guys….my head just EXPLODED
🤯🤯🤯
Okay bare with me here because my thoughts are literally chaos right now! Going to try and take you through the ninja katana that just happened to my brain!
1. Everyone has been focusing on this album being white. Taylor wore a white dress, Taylor used the 🤍, etc etc
This has been bothering my photographer mind since I very first saw the cover. That cover is not black and white. That cover is Sepia.
Rep is Black and white…..Folklore as well (though more muted and grey than stark black and white like Rep)
Poets is Sepia!
Now obviously there is no Sepia heart emoji so it could be that simple BUT Taylor is a mastermind and she doesn’t do accidents. The Sepia toned album cover is not white and that immediately drew attention to it when everyone is focused on the white aspects (which also lended itself nicely to the Rep TV/Poets bait and switch)
2. So I decided to go learn about the history of Sepia and quickly came across this very interesting article. I started reading. Immediately aspects of this colours history started setting off lightbulbs 💡
Sepia comes from the Cuttlefish’s defence mechanism. When under attack the cuttlefish releases a cloud of ink to distract the predator and make a swift (SWIFT!!) escape!?!?
Already we have the ink tie in specifically mentioning jet black (like the octopus and squid) but the cuttlefish’s defender cloud is sepia……this album is a defence mechanism so she can distract the predators (hetlors/the press) to make her escape to safety. It’s the bait and switch. The distraction. The decoy.
This was already enough to have my jaw on the floor…but wait! There’s more!
3. Sepia’s use in photography…
This love story began in black and white…in Reputation.
🎶I once believed love would be black and white….but it’s golden (Daylight)
This cover photo is very clearly Daylight after the long and tortured Midnight….now she only sees Daylight!
Sepia has come to represent a by-gone age….
Everyone thinks that Kaylor is over and done. Just an ended friendship, a burned bridge, no longer relevant…but the act of making that relationship look old was actually used to preserve that love and allow it to be long lasting!
There’s also the very obvious photography connection with the Polaroids significance to Kaylor.
Also note the nod to 1920s….along with the Clara Bow track pointed at that era here’s another possible link to the roaring 20s
Another link to Daylight coming after Midnight…the opening of the Karma music video shows the Midnights album which turns into a golden sunlight over the golden Taylor statue. Midnight to Daylight.
So as if all of this wasn’t already enough I kept reading and the next paragraph made me scream…..
The Wizard of FUCKING OZ you guys!!!!
(Side note that we have the Blake/Taylor Dorothy and Ariel combo call back here as well! Worth noting maybe Daddy I Love Him will shed some light on this Halloween Party…we know our 🎃 anon wanted us focusing on Halloween! Maybe this evening was significant in the story!)
So everyone thinks of it as black and white but it’s actually Sepia…..yes yes go on…..
So you’re telling me to create the illusion (🎶All eyes on me your illusionist) of sepia to colour they were using a body double. A double! A bait and switch! A stand in! Like every single beard relationship and every single Karlie stand in we have been seeing lately! Blake at Beyonces premiere….Keleigh at the Golden Globes, Keleigh as the bride, etc etc etc.
Slight of hand, more illusions and bait and switch imagery to make the art work and the magic happen.
Holy Shit!!!

Kaylor Timeline BEFORE VSFS 2013
It's a thread I did on my Twitter that I'll transfer here.
Once again, I used amazing Tumblr posts to do it. So I'll credit them as we go (If I need to do something else tell me, I'm new to the Tumblr etiquette).
So the official story is that Taylor and Karlie crossed path a couple of times without interacting and met for the first time at the Victoria Secret Fashion Show in 2013 🤔
Well they met A LOT of times and interacted before actually 😅
Let's see the Timeline before that VSFS in 2013!
***I'll edit this post as I find new interactions (because I feel like I'll find a lot of them) I'll add this 🆕 beside new additions and dates when it was added at the end of the post.
First meeting!
So what motivated my thread in the first place is this Interview Taylor did in 2014 with Andrew Bevan of Teen Vogue.

But here's the most important part of that interview:
He is saying that he introduced Karlie and Emma Stone to Taylor!!
Ok we know that Taylor met Emma at the 2008 Young Hollywood Award.
I don't think though that he is talking about that event. Because he says that he congratulated her for her cover.
Taylor did two covers with Teen Vogue, one in 2009 and one in 2011.
Following the Timeline and everything it's most likely the March 2009 one:

A magazine cover is planned 2-8 months in advance, up to a year for major celebrities.
The Young Hollywood Award was on late April 2008 and the cover was for March 2009 so it make sense.
So it's most likely that Taylor met karlie for the first time at the same event she met Emma for the first time.

Do you know of a place that has a coherent Kaylor timeline? I’m a relatively new tumblr user and Kaylor. Bit behind on the news starting after their feud about 🛴 and “right where you left me”
i think a lot of us remaining kaylors have specifically left the timeline of events unchronicled because of the nature of what we think their situation is. in your search you might find contemporary kaylor timelines written by people who think they’ve broken up and who want to disseminate that viewpoint, but i do not agree with how they are written so 😆 no endorsements from me.
i think what we do have right now are posts by several people documenting the kaylor coincidences (koincidences) that we all talk about, era by era. it’s not exactly what you are looking for, but it may help a little bit.
i’ll try to look for some posts and add them here. please also check the notes, i’m hoping some friends can help out with finding them and adding as well

One of the things I love about Kaylor and the lore and all is that they are such an AMAZING love story. Honestly, in some ways, one of the most monumental love stories in history. Taylor is going down in history as one of the musicians to ever live and, if our suspicions are correct, that would make Karlie one of the most legendary muses to exist. Truly beautiful. Also, judging by Taylor's lyrics, she and Karlie love each other deeply and passionately and it's moving and inspiring as hell.

I have so many new followers, it seems an introduction is in order:
Hello lovely people! So I rejoined tumblr in 2023 after 6 years of absence, mostly because it seemed a good place to silently lurk and read people's queer interpretations of Taylor Swift songs. Never thought I'd be back here in my 30s but here we are, and it's definitely gayer than I remember it 😉. Back in my 2010s tumblr days, you'd still get largely yelled at for suggesting Taylor writes gay lyrics, but now in the post folkmore and midnights era, there seems to be an ever growing number of us Gaylors and I love our little community on here! So much so that I started contributing and actually making content myself and it's wild to me that some of you awesome people have actually started following me so BIG HUG and a warm welcome to you all! I studied literature and (queer) history at university, so I'm a big geek when it comes to lyrical and historic analysis.

The love these two have for each other changed my outlook on life back in 2014 and I've been rooting for them ever since. And yes, I do believe they are still together now in 2023 based on Taylor’s music and artistic choices that still make reference to Karlie to this day. ☺️☺️
