With the Arcadia's greenhouse bay now well established, the plants growing there can be carefully diversified via an expedition down to the Earth's surface to collect new samples; Yama stepping forward as the one to do that, as a matter of course, brings up some unexpected revelations.

Only by accident, really. XD I focused on the interpersonal relationships here, especially the one between Yama and Nami, and modern mundane AU just . . . worked well as a backdrop. Also Isola is The Worst here, though he does not appear - his past abuse is behind Nami’s worries, as she and Yama are both well aware.
This one is another from that old Music Shuffle challenge!

Fandom Year in Review (2023)
It's the very last day of 2023, which means it's time for my annual look back and some number-crunching with my AO3 stats and writing over the year!
(Before I get to setting next year's goals and back to writing before midnight, of course! ;))
I posted 142 new stories to AO3 this year!
Fewer than last year but still quite a respectable number (especially given I dropped off posting every single day after October this year - I kept it up for 1,675 days straight, or 55 complete months!).
Those stories were in 33 fandoms, 14 of them new, and featured 43 ships (not counting gen relationships), 18 of them new!

Though Harlock has spent many nights in his legendarily long life brooding in his throne on the Arcadia's bridge, it is a pleasant change that now it is more habit which draws and keeps him there than dark thoughts - at least on certain nights. With Yama aboard, Harlock finds his own bed far too tempting to remain elsewhere.
