— jjba: reacting to chubby insecure reader
characters: Jonathan Joestar, Joseph Joestar, Jotaro Kujo (part 3), Josuke Higashikata, Female Reader
rating: sfw, mild suggestive talk (Joseph)
Tumblr media
Jonathan Joestar
Honestly, Jonathan only sees you as a vision of pure beauty
“How can you ever speak so poorly of yourself when you look like a goddess of antiquity?”
Brings books of art from the library just to show you the paintings and sculptures of women through the ages
“You see, my love, artists for centuries have known your figure is truly the most divine work of all creation.”
Will silence you with a finger to your lips if you protest
Then he will take your hand into his, gazing lovingly at you.
“Our youth is fleeting. All I care for is that your body is willing to grow old with mine. For one day, my physique will fade with age and I will no longer be as strong as I am now. And will you love me then?”
Of course. You will love him no matter what.
“Then why do you refuse to see that I feel the same for you?”
He kisses you.
“Now, let us retire to our bedroom.”
And he sweeps you off your feet and carries you bridal style across the threshold to his bedroom
And as he is a gentlemen it is best not to say what you two did next
Tumblr media
Joseph Joestar
Our bodies are so different…Just look at how I am compared to you.
Joseph is confused to say the least.
“Huh? What’s wrong with your body and what does that have to do with mine?”
Wouldn’t he prefer someone fit like him?
Isn’t he embarrassed to be seen with you in public?
Joseph laughs
“Awww, babe. Are you feeling insecure?”
Not helping
“Because you don’t have to be.”
Go on…
“I think you’re the sexiest thing I’ve ever laid eyes on”
Okay, now you are blushing
“And you know how much I love having your thick thighs wrapped around me when we’re making sweet love~”
Joseph!
“What? You never complain when I’m doing it. And you’re so much fun to cuddle afterwards.”
Immediately pulls you into his arms and snuggles against your chest
“I also wanted you because you were the only person who almost had tits as big as mine.”
JOSEPH!!!
Tumblr media
Jotaro Kujo
You never kiss me in public and rarely hold my hand…
Are you…
Are you embarrassed of me?
“Good grief”
Jotaro…
“Do you think I’m that shallow that I’d care what other people think of you? Of us?”
His voice is harsh.
You look away, feeling foolish.
He notices immediately and his gaze softens, the small spark of irritation fading.
He reaches out for you and pulls you close to him and kisses the top of your head.
Keeping you there he whispers
“Look, I’m sorry…I’m not embarrassed of you. I adore you and your body. You’re gorgeous to me.”
“I’m just a private person. Our relationship is something special and intimate to me. I dont need to display my affection for you to the world.”
You nod, still frowning.
“But it seems I’ve neglected you by only focusing on my own comfort. I’m sorry. This should be a partnership.”
He takes your hand
“I’ll hold your hand in public and won’t mind a quick kiss. It might take me some time to not….blush. But I’ll be fine.”
You squeeze his hand reassuringly
Thank you, Jotaro. Thank you for understanding and listening to me.
“I love you, Y/N. I hope you never forget that.”
Tumblr media
Josuke Higashikata
You’re so much more attractive then me. Don’t you want someone fit and pretty?
“WHAT?!”
“Come again?????”
“Are you feeling okay, babe?”
“Do you not see the way I worship every single curve of your body?”
“I’m practically salivating every time your jeans are too tight!”
“And that cute little tummy of yours!!!”
“I can’t keep my hands off you!”
“Do I need to do more PDA?! Cause I will!!”
“OR I’ll climb on the roof at school and shout that I’m dating the hottest person in all of Morioh!!”
Josuke! Stop you’re making me blush!!!
He attacks you with kisses and tickles.

dating with jotaro.
request ; @needy-self-ship-jjba: can we have headcanons of what kind of dates jotaro like to go with his fem!s/o?
# tags: headcanon; current relationship; dates!au; romance; mostly fluff; a bit of comedy; soft!jotaro; pda; sfw
includes: female reader ft. jotaro kujo {jojo 3}
author’s note: i’m sorry you waited so so so long, darling. hope you will like it! also i tried to show the character of jotaro well! :D
Tumblr media
↘ Jotaro doesn’t like dates. He’s not the type of romantic person who takes his girlfriend to exciting and crowded places.
↘ Jotaro is rather the type of man who chooses to spend time together at home or possibly in some deserted, quiet place (such as a park or a wild beach).
↘ Other types of dates that make sense to him include cooking together, going to a museum just before closing time, or a quick trip to the aquarium so he can see dolphins and other cute fishes, and buy a mascot in the shape of your favorite sea animal.
↘ I don’t think Jotaro is a clingy person either (or rather, he doesn’t look like that), but he has a cute little thing for you every time you meet each other – your favorite gummies, a basket full of fresh apples or a new keychain (you probably already have ten of them).
↘ In the privacy of your home, you like watching movies or series together, as well as eating salty or sweet snacks. He’s definitely a big spoon, therefore he’s the person who hugs you when you rest or sleep.
↘ I don’t think he’s a fan of study dates; however, if you are preparing for school or repeating material for a important test, Jotaro will certainly make an exception for you and test your knowledge by asking you various questions.
↘ Sometimes he acts like your father ‘cause he’s very worried and he feels an inner need to take care of your health; he will put a hat on you, give you his jacket, buy you something cold to drink during the hot season or, on the contrary, offer you some tea in late autumn and winter. He’ll definitely get upset if you don’t listen to him or do stupid things like running on slippery surfaces or staying up late on the phone/laptop.
↘ He rarely shows his emotions, but he really tries to be honest with you. You appreciate it very much!
↘ I also think that he’s very jealous and won’t be afraid to challenge someone to a duel. He doesn’t like to share, he doesn’t like other men close to you.
↘ But despite everything, he’s a good guy who always tries to respect you and take care for you (even though other women are reject quickly by him and he even insult them by saying that they’ll never be on your level).

Jolyne's Teacher pt.4 (Teacher reader x Jotaro)
Tumblr media
Chapter 4- Monday
Tumblr media
Chapter 3- Coffee | Masterlist | Chapter 5- Friday
Small Summary of series: It's a new school year, you're a third grade teacher at an elementary school in Florida with Jolyne Cujoh being in your class.
Tumblr media
"Dad is it necessary for me to go to school today? Ms. L/n isn't gonna be here." I brushed Jolyne's hair styling it the best I could. "You need to go. School is very important Jolyne." She crossed her arms pouting, "I hate it!" I smiled at her, kissing the top of her head, "I know but you just gotta go..." I finished her hair, "How does it look?" I handed her the mirror, she smiled brightly looking at herself in the mirror. "I love it dad!" She kissed my cheek hugging me tightly, "Glad you like it. Come on we have to get going."
I dropped off Jolyne at school and headed towards that cafe Ms. L/n showed me. I don't start work until later, so why not enjoy some tea in the meantime. I sat down at a table nearby reading some work files. Someone taped my shoulder, "Mr. Kujo, it's nice to see you again." It was Ms. L/n. "Nice to see you too. What brings you here this early? Jolyne said you had the day off?" Placing the papers back in the folder I  singled her to sit down at the vacant sit in front of me. She sat down with a drink in her hand, "I did but I couldn't sleep in... Might as well start the day early with some coffee." She smiled taking a sip of her drink. "Mm," she cleared her throat, "Has Jolyne told you about the parent teacher meeting on friday?"
"Meeting? Did something happen?" I questioned her. I was worried Jolyne might have done something. She Chuckled, "Jolyne isn't in any trouble, if that's what you're worried. It's just a group meeting after school to discuss some field trips, chaperone, class activities, and other stuff."
Jolyne never mentioned it to me, I looked at Y/n who was stirring her drink. "No she hasn't told me... Is it a mandatory thing?" I asked her. "No, it's not mandatory to attend." She looked at me, her eyes were saying otherwise like she was begging or waiting me to go. I looked away grabbing at the tip of my hat covering my face a bit, "Geez... I'll see if I can go." She smiled at me, and then looked at her watch.
"I have to get going, it was nice you seeing again Mr. Kujo," Y/n stood from her seat, I didn't notice till now but she was wearing these tight leggings that hugged her legs and thighs just right and a sports bra covered with a sweater that was barely zipped up, I guess she was going to the gym or for a run. She placed her hand in front of me, I took it; soon realizing how small her hands were compared to mine. "It was nice seeing you, too." She smiled, "I hope to see you again on Friday after school." And like that she left.
I focused on the paperwork I was previously looking at before Y/n showed up. As I looked at them I couldn't help but feel like I was being watched, I can still feel that same presence from the first time I met with Y/n here. Could she have some sort of stand? Or maybe someone here is a stand user? It can't be... This looks like some old Cuban cafe...
But yet it could be possible
I grabbed my things and headed out. I rather work at the office I don't want to find out if there's a stand user here.
Sometime later
I waited outside the schools pick up area waiting for Jolyne. "Mr. Kujo!" Someone called out for me. I looked over to see a women that looked about my age. She approached reaching out her hand, "I'm Ms. Jones was a substitute for your daughters class today." I shook her hand, "It's nice to meet. I believe we met once if I'm not mistaken." I tried to pull away my hand but she still had a grip on it, "I'm sorry." She pulled away and smiled at me. I've never felt uncomfortable meeting someone before, but she really did give off a weird vibe. I just hope Jolyne comes out soon.
"Dad!!!" Jolyne came running towards me; I bent down to her height embracing her in a hug. "Hey Jolyne, how was school?" I pulled her closer whispering in her ear, "Plan twenty." I pulled away standing.
"School was good. Let's go! You said you would take me to park after school." She started tugging at my arm pulling me away from her substitute teacher, "Lets go!" I laughed at her, "Okay, I'm going." We walked over to the car and got in. "What happened dad? Why did you ask me to use plan twenty?" She asked, I started the car and drive off, "That substitute teacher of yours was... Was a bit odd." Plan twenty was something I came up with due to people making me feel uncomfortable and if Jolyne feels uncomfortable around someone she also uses that code so we both know when to go or come up with an excuse to leave. "Ms. Jones is a little weird." I looked at Jolyne she was looking at her hands, "Dad?"
 "Hmm?"
"Does Ms. L/n make you wanna use plan twenty? Michel said he saw you and Ms. L/ n at a cafe shop on Saturday." An image her showing up at our doorsteps came to mind the shy look she gave me when I opened the door, "So far she doesn't... You're teacher Ms. L/n seems like a good person."
 "Am I still grounded?"
"We can go to the park for an hour but that's it."

Can i request hcs for the cruasaders(minus iggy) having a small and sweetheart s/o but their stand is literally a terrifying 9ft tall kuchisake onna( the slith-mouth women)
Tumblr media
This is from ghostwire tokyo and sorry for low quality pic i couldn't find a good one
The Crusaders with an S/O who’s Sweet and Small but has a Terrifying Stand
𝐀/𝐍: First off, thank you for the request love! The idea is really cool and I hope you enjoy this request!
𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠(𝐬): Some spoilers for Part 3!
Tumblr media
Jotaro Kujo
- To be honest, I feel like Jotaro wouldn’t be too shocked about your stand. Surprised, yes, but not shocked. From the moment he met you, he sensed there was a strength you had that you had yet to show him, and he was glad to finally see it when you first brought out your stand!
- He’s actually quite interested in your stand, too! He finds it interesting you possess such a stand with your stature and personality, and he’s glad you have it! You decided to join them on their crusade, and he already knew you were strong to begin with, so having your stand too will help them a lot!
- He’ll definitely tease about it on occasion, but is genuinely happy when you two get to team up and take down a stand user. You both enjoy confusing your opponent and making them think they’ve got the upper hand before revealing your stands and making them think again.
Noriaki Kakyoin
- Kakyoin is definitely surprised to see your stand! You, his sweet and small beloved, wielding such terrifying power in the form of a kuchisake onna, it was hard not to gasp aloud when he first saw it!
- Kakyoin does get over this shock however, and while interested in it, he’s also just a bit terrified too. He knows you can keep it under control, but he’s heard stories about them from his classmates, and can’t help but feel a little scared too. You reassure him though that she’s alright, and it helps him! Kakyoin hopes to get over this fear as you all travel together, and he does!
- You two are able to combine your stands efficiently too! Kakyoin distracts enemies with Hierophant Green’s emeralds, and your stand goes in for an attack while they’re busy fighting them off! You’ve taken down many opponents this way, with make a great team!
Jean Pierre Polnareff
- The first time you brought your stand out, Polnareff thought it belonged to another stand user, and threw his arms around you saying Silver Chariot would protect you. However, with a nervous laugh, you let him know the Kuchisake onna was your own, and his jaw dropped.
- I imagine he’s very openly terrified at first, but grows used to it over time! In the beginning whenever you bring it out he actually cowers behind you, but the more and more you bring it out, he starts to recognize it and even look forward to it coming out! After all, he knows whenever it does, it means you two are gonna fight some stand users together!
- And speaking of fighting, you two work on ways to combine your stands and come up with effective techniques! Like the others, this usually involves one of you fighting first, and the other taking the stand user by surprise with that of your own.
Muhammad Avdol
- Avdol actually isn’t too surprised when you bring out your stand in front of him for the first time. You had told him stories about it beforehand, and though it’s slightly different from what he envisioned, he finds it quite interesting!
- Avdol is a man always interested in learning about culture and its aspects. When fighting with your stands, you take the time to tell him about her, and how you unlocked her too! Avdol listens intently, and usually follows up your tellings with more questions of his own! He’s very curious!
- And of course, your fighting together leads to you both developing somewhat of a technique! Whether your stands are coming out together, or one after the other, Avdol lets you know him and Magician’s Red have your back should any foe hurt you!
Joseph Joestar
- And finally Joseph, who I will admit was probably the most terrified of all the crusaders when you allows your Kuchisake onna to appear. He immediately screamed and ran behind you, yelping about how terrifying it was. However, with a laugh you patted his shoulder and told him she’ll only attack your enemies.
- He takes a while to get used to your stand... and oftentimes you’ll have to fight alone since Hermit Purple can’t really do too much offensive damage, but you make do! Even if he is terrified, Joseph slowly gets over his fears, and eventually its your stand that takes an interest in him! Whenever its out it’ll act really sweet and shy around him, much in contrast to how it takes down your opponents!
- You two manage to find an effective strategy, with Joseph using his stand to bind and hold enemy stand users while you bring out your Kuchisake onna to deal the final blows! In the end, whoever you’re up against are left terrified, and you two are left standing proud after a battle!

hello love, I hope you’re doing well! I just want to let you know I am absolutely in love with your writing style. it’s always such a pleasure to read and I truly enjoy everything I read off your page. thank you for blessing us with your talents! your page is one of my favorites.
that being said, I have a request for a jotaro kujo x female reader. the storyline would be set during the events of part four, during morioh shenanigans.
jotaro has an old friend who had joined the crew during stardust crusaders (a rocker chick with an idgaf attitude). who absolutely hated jotaro (the way he disrespected women, the way he treated others, etc, etc) and joined the crusaders for the sole purpose of proving she was more of an asset than jotaro. during which they bickered nonstop, (literally the nastiest arguments, name calling, etc). only when it came to fighting dio they worked together to get it done and ended up putting their differences aside to become friends. clearly there’s romantic tension there, but despite a few friendly moments nothing comes of the feelings and they set off. ( they’re basically rivals turned friends, but she still likes to piss him off for fun).
years later she gets a call from jotaro asking for her help in morioh, which she very sarcastically accepts. upon her arrival their relationship is more of a sarcastic banter. (her sarcastic witty comments solely to annoy jotaro and him huffing and gruffing). but their feelings quickly return and there’s so much tension. like, awkward tension that neither of them can deny and the entire morioh gang can point it out. finally, they have a heart to heart - and very awkwardly open up to one another over a bottle of booze. they seal it with a kiss, and shenanigans ensue.
TEN YEARS - JOTARO KUJO X READER
Tumblr media
Warnings : lots of curse words, misogyny from 17 year-old Jotaro, implications of death, I changed a couple of minor details in canon to fit this, this is not proofread at all, reader uses she/her pronouns!
Genre : fluff with some angst I think
Word count : 4.5K words (oops!)
Additional notes : Aaaaa thank you so so much for your sweet words! I’m so happy to hear that you enjoy my writing. I feel so flattered by your kindness! In all honesty, this request goes against my requesting rules🫣 The length required for such a heavily detailed, canon-non-compliant request means writing no less than 4K words (that’s after skimming over some points too😭), which is the typical length of a ficlet, not a oneshot (which ranges from 1K to 2.5K words). I’m sorry to say this but I have stopped taking requests for ficlets over a year ago🫠 I did feel terrible, however, not taking this request, since you’d been so sweet and nice about it. But please be sure to check out my rules and guidelines before requesting! I like to stick to them to prevent a burnout, and to make sure that I don’t end up taking too long writing one piece only. Nevertheless, I thank you very much for the unique idea. I really hope you like this! 💗💗
Requests : Are open! Check the rules over here.

“So you called me up, just to bring me to your hotel room?” She raised her eyebrow, before tossing her bag onto one of the two chairs by the window. “See, that wasn’t the sort of ‘help’ I had in mind when I’d accepted your invitation.”
Dr. Kujo—or as she knew him to be, Jotaro—could do nothing but roll his eyes. She’d always liked to make a flashy entrance, with more than a few choice words ready on the tip of her tongue.
“I don’t want to know what you’ve pictured.” He sighed, moving from where he stood by the mahogany desk. “Have you heard from Polnareff recently?”
“A little.” She shrugged, a little stiffly, as though the idea of thinking of their troupe back in Egypt wasn’t something she liked to entertain. Crossing her legs, she watched as he pulled something from his jacket. “Last I heard, he was looking for Dio’s arrows, but that’s about it.”
He handed her what looked like a photograph. Squinting her eyes a little, she tried to make out just what she was seeing. “Now, I’m sure seeing me all cross-eyed has you shaking in your boots with excitement, but—“
Jotaro only huffed, a small impatient noise that she’d barely heard. At that, she quirked her eyebrow. That was rather odd. She’d come to get used to his snarky, biting remarks that left no one unscathed—least of all a woman.
“Gone soft, have you? I’d thought you’d have my ass the very second I opened my mouth,” she grinned wickedly, as Jotaro glanced away for a second.
Good. She’d always liked it when he was too flustered to say anything.
Her happiness didn’t last long though. Clearing his throat, his gaze didn’t meet hers and instead focused on the photograph in her hand. “‘s not like you were short in comebacks for everything.”
To her admittance, she felt a spark of irritation. “Well, don’t expect me to sit back and take it. If you had a stick lodged up your ass, that wasn’t any of my business.”
“I’m not here to fight over stuff that happened ten years ago,” he firmly said, before his shoulders relaxed and his voice grew a little quieter, though he remained expressionless. “I was under the impression that we’d… gotten along decently near the end.”
“If you’re trying to say we were friends by the time we faced off Dio, then alright, I’d say we might have been, by a very loose definition of the word.”
A very, very loose definition, given how they’d started out and how they’d ended up.
***
Her family had always been a quaint one, especially by the modern Japanese standards. Rock music had come in a wave that hit her father, and his passion for the genre had infected her, to the extent that it manifested in her stand, Flick of the Wrist, which was her special Rickenbacker bass that could deal serious damage to her opponents eardrums by strumming at too low a frequency.
She’d often gotten stared at by others her age, especially during high school, when she’d hit the arcades on the weekend in her clothes that always garnered attention. Perhaps they’d feared anything that was different—though that fear mixed with respect whenever they stared at Jotaro, who was just as odd by their standards.
Loathe she was to admit just how petty she had been, she truly did despise Jotaro from the very first moment she’d met him during orientation day. She’d never gone out of her way to speak to someone who constantly looked like they had a ten foot pole lodged up their ass, but she’d observed the way he’d interacted with the other students—or rather, the way he hadn’t interacted with them.
His brisk and cold demeanor wasn’t just off-putting, but it also at times turned extremely disrespectful. Overhearing him yelling insults at the girls who fawned over him every morning was what solidified that image of him in her head, and she wasn’t too keen on changing her mind: Jotaro Kujo was a misogynistic asshole, who’d die alone. It was entirely his fault that when he’d injured both her and that new kid Kakyoin, she’d retaliated and flipped him off, before threatening to leave his ears bleeding and useless. Definitely not her personal dislike for him at play.
Though she’d been an intruder in his home at the time, the dire situation she’d found him in had only garnered him a bit of sympathy from her—and not for himself, but for his poor mother who’d had nothing to do with the whole affair with that Dio person.
When she’d suggested to his grandfather, Joseph that she join in on their travels as an additional stand user to their arsenal, Jotaro’s glower had been murderous. “A bitch like her would get us all killed the moment we step out of Japan,” he’d said, with no more than a glance at her as he turned away. But before he could leave amidst Avdol’s horrified protests, she’d called him a “miserable, pathetic bitch-boy”; something he hadn’t taken kindly to, if him rolling up his sleeves was anything to go by.
Kakyoin had interrupted them before things could escalate into a fist fight they were both more than willing to participate in, but as they’d went on their journey, it seemed more than apparent that both she and Jotaro could never be civil towards each other. Jotaro, with all his pretense of maturity and cool-headedness, often opposed her ideas for no good reason, just wanting to prove how much of an idiot she was to their companions. With the way she wanted to show the others just how superior she was as a fighter, and how she was no sniveling kid that needed rescuing, she always butted heads with him the moment he opened his mouth to speak.
Neither of them seemed to care about holding themselves back from cussing each other out, the vilest insults being spat back and forth. She’d never been one to sit back and take disrespect, but to the others, seeing Jotaro so riled up was something rather surprising. Avdol, ever the pacifist, had a hard time choosing between scolding them both and just sighing in defeat as he watched from the sidelines.
In a surprising turn of events, it was Joseph who’d given them a wake up call. “This pettiness will only end up as a weakness that Dio will definitely exploit.” He’d sounded uncharacteristically stern, his usual grin replaced by a deep-set scowl. “Neither of you will be getting anything done at this rate. If you can’t even pretend to like each other, at the very least put in some effort to work together.”
And so, biting the insides of their cheeks and not-so-subtly exchanging looks of disdain, they’d begun the irksome process of biting back their tongues in the presence of each other. With their respective stands, she could momentarily cause enough panic and auditory pain to distract the enemy while Jotaro beat them to a bloody pulp. The key to doing that was fast reflexes, which both of them thankfully had in abandon. With their brains, it didn’t take very long for them to figure out this strategy.
As much as she thought of him a brute, there was little she could complain about concerning him when it came to fighting. Jotaro had proven time and time again that his brash fighting styles weren’t entirely irrational, and the delicate accuracy of her Flick of the Wrist meshed well with Star Platinum’s sheer power. Perhaps it was the satisfaction of seeing their efforts come to fruition with stand users at their feet, or maybe it was the fact that they were both more inclined to listen to each other’s advice when they were putting their lives on the line, but soon enough they weren’t constantly bickering like cats and dogs did.
Instead, there came a mutual understanding; a sense of peace whenever they could glance at each other and nod, before setting off according to plan. She had found herself offering to switch patrol with him when he looked a little worse for wear, and retrieved his beloved hat whenever it got blasted off mid-fight, watching as he’d used it to hide his flush. Though still a little tactless with his words, Jotaro had draped his jacket over her shivering form many a time at night, and had silently bandaged her ripped wounds when she could no longer hide her hisses of pain.
By the time they’d turned up at Dio’s mansion, she’d known that she could no longer say she hated him. It had been a long time since she’d felt anything worse than brief annoyance towards him, and instead she’d found herself wishing she could just take a break from it all and sit with him in peace. They could talk about whatever they think of without any restraints, or they could relish in the silence that envelopes them, just comforted by each other’s existence in the same bubble.
It had sparked something akin to fondness; something she couldn’t dare think of deciphering; something that had warmth pooling in her belly every time she looked at him as he bravely stood his ground, unrelenting (and then she would be hit, once again, with the reminder that they were both just 17 year-olds at the end of the day, and tossed in a world they don’t quite belong in).
In front of the intimidating mansion that would spell out their future, she’d known that things would change forever, regardless of what would happen as soon as they’d stepped across the threshold. And so she’d turned, facing those piercing sea-green eyes that were lit with something she couldn’t quite put her finger on.
“You know what, Jotaro?” she’d breathed in, clenching her hands into fists as a small smirk made its way onto her face, “I think I’m starting to find you pretty tolerable.”
He’d raised his eyebrow at that, his lips quirking upwards in a small, barely perceptible smile. “That’s news to me.” His tone was light, but she knew that he knew that she was underplaying how she truly felt. He just went along with it, his arm brushing hers. “Well, I don’t think I find you that annoying.”
“Ah, fuck, guess I’m losing my touch.”
“Good grief…”
And then they’d taken the steps forward that could never be undone. No matter how much they’d wish it, no matter how many nightmares it would bring, and no matter how often they tortured themselves with thoughts of the ones they’d left behind, souls drifting in between, they could never turn back time.
From then on, they’d barely spared each other a second glance on the way back. The wounds were too fresh, and the scars unhealing. Perhaps that was the disadvantage of having understood each other that well; they’d known it was unlikely that either of them would be able to face the other without feeling overexposed. So that was how they’d separated in Japan, hearts aching but faces never betraying how they’d felt at the moment. The radio silence that came afterwards was equal parts unnerving and a blessing.
***
So then why did sitting there in the Grand Morioh Hotel room feel like a death sentence?
She could see with her own two eyes how much Jotaro had changed, inside out. The beautiful eyes she’d remembered as being challenging were wisened and even somewhat exhausted, and his figure was a lot slimmer than she recalled it being. His outfits might’ve been brighter, but he seemed all the more duller in them. It was a bit of a reality check; ten years truly had passed.
Perhaps the bitterness she’d felt seconds ago was due to how they’d left things. She felt as though there was much unsaid, and wasn’t sure if it was only on her end.
Still, it wasn’t fair on him. How she felt, at the very least, was her own responsibility and not his. It wasn’t his fault she’d been too cowardly to speak up at the time. But still, would she call them friends?
It didn’t matter at the moment. She cleared her throat. “Anyways, what’s the deal with Dio’s arrows?”
“A couple of them went awry on the town’s residents. Many have had stand awakenings, and not all with the best intentions.” Jotaro paused, before pointing at the blurry photograph in her hand. “It’s not very clear, but this man is one we’re hunting down at the moment. He’s a stand user, and we’ve had our suspicions that he’s actually a serial killer underneath all that shitty fancy fabric.”
“You’re one to talk about fancy fabric, Mr. I-wear-10K-yen-pants-in-the-desert,” she mumbled under her breath, before leaning in and trying to take a better look. The picture was taken from the back and mid-action, so she could barely make out what he looked like with his head turned to the side. His most distinguishing feature was the striking salt and pepper hair that wasn’t exactly common in the way it looked so obviously dyed. “Okay, he seems pretty conspicuous, so why haven’t you been able to catch him?”
“Lack of evidence.” He took the photograph back, before briefly removing his hat and ruffling back his curls, a troubled look flashing in his eyes as he set the hat down again. “That, and the fact that the situation is pretty… complicated.”
Somehow, she understood the hidden meaning lingering beneath his words. “Too many lives at stake?”
Jotaro hummed in confirmation, picking up a white bag from the vanity beside her and shouldering it. “Come, there’s someone I’d like you to meet.”
Though she briefly hesitated, she nodded and went along with him.
***
She didn’t know what she’d expected, but it certainly wasn’t a teenage boy with features nearly identical to Jotaro’s—uncannily so. She’d have called them father and son, if he hadn’t looked a little too old for that.
“That’s my, uh, uncle I guess, Josuke.”
A confused look made its way on her face as she looked back and forth between Jotaro and the boy. “Huh? Don’t you mean the other way around?”
He looked exhausted as he shook his head, “Apparently, Joseph’s his father, so that makes him my uncle despite being 16.”
She blinked, a hand on her hips as she leaned back. “I don’t know what family dynamic this is, and I’m not sure I want to find out.”
“I didn’t know you knew pretty babes, Jotaro. Were you keeping her a secret from us?” the boy interrupted, a cheeky grin on his face, clearly trying to appear charming (which was a little hard to achieve, given that his pompadour haircut was more than a couple of decades out of style).
Smirking, she spared the exasperated-looking marine biologist a glance, before looking back at Josuke. “Just one babe, not plural. I’m probably the only chick Jotaro’s ever interacted with.”
Josuke looked confused. “What? I’m pretty sure he was married at some point.”
She looked momentarily horrified, eyes wide as saucers. “Married?!”
The teenager awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck. “Yeah, and he’s got a 7 year-old daughter. Her name’s Jolyne—“
“Daughter?!” She whipped her head to Jotaro, disbelief written all over her face, “Are you fucking with me? Were you not planning on mentioning any of this?”
“Good grief,” Jotaro sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose as he exhaled through it, “I was married. Past tense. We got divorced a few years after having Jolyne. She’s currently with her mother in Florida.”
“Florida…” she weakly repeated, struck with the realization that she truly knew nothing about the Jotaro in front of her. Though now, things made a little more sense than they did before. The reason why he’d mellowed out must’ve owed to the fact that he’d fallen in love and had a daughter over the years. Both had softened his sharp edges, it seemed, but it certainly caused a pang in her chest as she wondered if he’d ever even felt the same about her back then; after all, it seemed odd that he’d get over her that fast, if she’d done the math correctly and calculated the timeline right.
All she could do was nod, before turning back to Josuke. “Seeing as you’re the old man’s son, you’re probably a stand user, right?”
He looked a little surprised. “You know about them? Do you have one too?”
With a quick swish of her arm, she pulled out Flick of the Wrist that had been slung around her back. “If I strum this bad boy, you’ll be bleeding out from your ears before you can say “damn bitch”—which I assure you, your dearest nephew has called me multiple times.”
“That was then…” Jotaro gruffly said, before shaking his head, as if to say that he wasn’t even going to bother explaining himself. “Anyways, about our suspect…”
***
It quickly became an almost-daily thing; she and Jotaro would leave the hotel (where he’d actually booked her a room, a fact that had both surprised her and made her a little happier than she’d care to admit), meet up with Josuke and a couple of his friends that often tagged along, and discuss their strategy. They’d need to rely on Rohan, something Josuke was more than a little miffed by.
Okuyasu and Koichi were nice enough kids, but they didn’t seem to worry their heads too much. They trusted in the combined stand power of the three of them, which was equal parts heartwarming and naïve.
And Jotaro was… well, Jotaro. He was always that odd mix of enigmatic and straightforward; of unnerving and comforting; of frustrating and amusing. She’d catch him watching the Morioh teens with a half-smile that, a decade ago, he would’ve normally never let show on his face, and she’d grin back at him. “Getting all mushy on me, Dr. Kujo?” she’d say every time, only for him to tell her to shut up without a single ounce of malice.
She’d be lying if she said that she didn’t fear for him. Jotaro’s Star Platinum’s power was almost absolute, especially once The World was activated, but she still feared that it would catch up to him someday. Karmic retribution was very much real, but did it work on people who did seemingly-horrible stuff for the greater good?
“What’s wrong?”
Speak (or in this case, think) of the devil and he appears. Facing him as they stood in Josuke’s front lawn, she allowed herself to express her weariness. “Just thinking a little. Any news from the pissy mangaka?”
“Rohan’s gonna confront the kid. Something’s wrong with that family, but we don’t know what.” Jotaro looked more exhausted than she’d ever seen him, and that was saying something. With bags under his eyes and his curls ruffled beneath his hat, he looked like he was carrying the burdens of the whole world.
She gave him a pointed look. “Really? You’re talking about odd families?”
He glared at her, but she saw no actual anger behind it. His gaze returned to Okuyasu, who was currently being held in a headlock after getting caught cheating on Josuke in a particularly enthusiastic game of cards. “Anyways, we don’t want to potentially endanger someone innocent. His family’s probably unaware, but the kid probably knows something.”
“I hate hearing about kids who’ve been burdened with the knowledge of something bigger than them,” she mumbled under her breath, a little darkness underlying in her expression. When Jotaro turned back to her, he stared at her for a couple of seconds, trying to figure something out.
“You mean like us back then.” He wasn’t asking, he simply stated it. Meeting his eyes was a lot more difficult this time, but she did all the same. Something heavy lingered in them, and she felt herself compelled to lean in closer. Jotaro simply let her, his own eyes darkening. There was something she had to see, but she didn’t know what—all she knew was that getting a closer look at him was something she desperately needed.
“You’d always been braver than you should’ve been,” she murmured, her eyes flickering to his full lips for a moment. Jotaro himself had dipped his head a little closer to hers, before—
“Hey lovebirds, quit it with the PDA! We need you here as refs!” Josuke’s yell came from behind them, causing them to snap backwards and hurriedly shift back to their places. Whatever that was—and she was sure that she hadn’t imagined it this time—could wait.
***
Rohan had set the date. Tomorrow they’d be putting the plan in motion, because waiting any longer only meant that they’d be risking the lives of every resident of Morioh for another day. As a form of celebration, as soon as they’d gotten back to the hotel, she’d suggested they lounge in Jotaro’s room with a couple of beers. He hadn’t protested, but he hadn’t seemed particularly enthusiastic. Maybe he still remembered how she was when she was drunk; shitfaced after guzzling just one beer can.
When she made it inside, she was a little surprised to find that the lights had been dimmed, casting warm shadows across the walls. Instead of the hotel beer cans that she’d expected to find, she found a bottle of wine and two glasses set on the small table by the window.
“Splurging all that scientist money, I see.” She raised her eyebrow, taking a seat and exhaling in relaxation as she did.
Jotaro poured the wine into their glasses, but certainly not without correcting her. “Marine biologist.”
“Doesn’t matter as long as you’re loaded,” she chuckled, only waiting for him to sit in front of her before taking a sip. “This is good. Looks a little odd though.”
“Zinfandel rose wine. There’s a hint of strawberry in that.” He took a sip, a satisfied hum escaping the back of his throat as he did, and she struggled to look away from his Adam’s apple bobbing up and down. “Thought it wouldn’t hurt to enjoy our last night.”
“Already putting me to the grave? You’ll have to work harder to get rid of me.” A flustered sound so uncharacteristic to him left his lips, and it seemed that it took him a couple of seconds to realize that she was only teasing him. “Don’t worry, I know you meant our last night in Morioh. Hopefully.”
They lapsed into silence, contemplative looks on each of their faces. It didn’t take a genius to figure out what the other was thinking of.
“They do remind me of us.” Jotaro’s voice was a lot gruffer when he said that. Perhaps it was just him trying to put up a tough front as he always had.
“Yeah, with significantly less clinically insane vampires, though,” she snorted, swirling the remains of the pink alcohol in her glass.
“Glad we both got rid of the last of those.” Jotaro sounded amused as he reached out to refill their glasses. “Not really sure if it was worth teaming up with you for a whole damn month.”
“Ha!” she chortled, downing half the glass in one gulp before setting it down with a challenging look in her eyes. “You definitely liked me back then.”
He went quiet for a moment, before softly speaking up again. “I did.”
Freezing in place, she gaped at him. “I’m sorry, what?”
“I had feelings for you back then,” he slowly said, brilliant bright eyes meeting hers and pinning her in place.
Her shoulders drooped and her fingers fell from the wine glass. “Well then why didn’t you ever tell me?”
Jotaro almost looked incredulous as he asked, “Was there ever a time for that?” She looked away as he set down his glass too. “We were on a bit of fucking tight schedule.”
“Fine, that’s understandable, but what about after we got to Japan?”
Now it was his turn to look sheepish. “I thought you’d never want to talk to me again. Partially because you hadn’t forgiven me for how I used to be at the start, and partially because you wanted to forget all about the trip.”
“But not about you,” she swallowed thickly, the emotions she’d repressed all these years swelling inside her and threatening to burst, “Because I liked you too, you fucking Neanderthal,” she choked out a laugh, as Jotaro looked nothing short of stunned. “I was too busy wondering why the fuck I wanted to kiss you senseless back then when we were finally getting along well.”
“How was I supposed to know that…” he mumbled weakly, before emptying the glass in one shot. He somehow looked tired and yet also more relaxed than she’d ever seen him, and the fact caused the same swell of affection to bubble in her chest, the warmth spreading to her limbs.
“I thought I was being a little obvious.”
Jotaro shook his head. “If you were, I wouldn’t have thought I had to marry my college friend to get over you, would I?”
So that explained the sudden marriage. It made far more sense (and honestly hurt way less) than believing she’d meant nothing more to him than an ally; someone he’d forgotten overnight. Because only the heavens knew just how impossible he’d made it to forget him—every snarky remark, every witty comeback, every gentle touch, and every ounce of faith in her had made her think of him every night she’d spent on her own, willing the clock to turn back its hands. Eventually, her wistfulness had morphed into a bitter feeling sinking in her chest, and she could no longer afford thinking of him so fondly; not when she still wasn’t over him while he’d disappeared off the face of the earth.
But now? Now Jotaro’s wine-stained lips were inviting in the warm dim lighting of the room. Lost in her thoughts, she hadn’t noticed him taking off his hat and setting it down, ebony curls falling forward and painting him as the picture of enticement. Maybe back when they’d first met she’d disliked him too much to pay it any mind, but Jotaro really had the looks that made her breath catch in her throat. And now that she knew just how tender his sea-green eyes could get when looking at someone, she found him particularly enchanting.
Before she’d even noticed it, she was leaning in across the small table. “If I kissed you now, would I be making my feelings obvious enough?”
If the small smile on his face wasn’t a clear enough invitation, then his hand pushing his drained wine glass out of the way was more than enough of a confirmation.
Resting her weight against the small table, she leaned in so close she could clearly see his thick eyelashes, and he closed the remaining distance between them as her eyes fluttered shut. The first thought in her mind was, ‘Holy fuck, does he taste sweet.’ She didn’t know if it was the wine on his lips, or if he was just a naturally brilliant kisser, but she knew she’d be damned if she ever forgot how kissing him felt. Teasingly, she nipped at his full lower lip, reveling in the deep sound of pleasure that escaped him, and in the way his hand snuck to the back of her neck to pull her in for a deeper kiss.
Much to their mutual disappointment, they soon had to part for air. Breathing heavily, they must’ve both looked positively hypnotized, if she went by the way they were both staring at each other.
“Think you might want to do that again,” he mumbled against her warm skin, thumbing her lips in a daring move she’d never have expected from him.
“What?” she breathily asked, more dazed by the mindblowing kiss than she’d like to admit.
“To make your feelings obvious. Kiss me again.”
And with her trembling hands and eager mouth, she was more than happy to oblige. After all, there was 10 years-worth of waiting to put into motion.

Loverboy [Jotaro Kujo | Reader]
Tumblr media
So, think I met Jotaro about… a month ago? Maybe a bit more. I’m not the bad guy by any means – there’s just followers of the cult all around. White-haired buzzcut guy spewing bullshit about revenge. I’m young and breezy, I want no trouble. I’m no part of no band – no delusions there. I just got friends, need to return favours and hooked on love. See, so that’s the key most times. But also, like, you could call it a release and a sealant at the same time.
I was five when my momma told me stories about love. She ain’t ever love my father, though. There were cigarette butts and liquor bottles all around the house. Nice little picture right there. No modern stuff. Sundresses and hats – she beat my ass when I asked what the weird balloons in my dad’s pockets were for. So, you see, love isn’t all peachy all the time. Hard to fight for it. My momma fought for it constantly. Oh, and when she lost the battle, she was beaten. But like, repeatedly. Wore sunglasses a lot. Didn’t curse, though. Bless her little soul. My father loved too much was all.
I loved a lot like him – high school came easy and popularity was a competition I didn’t bother to win. Was mine to begin with.
I have my dad’s good looks and my momma’s patience. The old man died some two years ago – his lady took off her ring way before but she’s doing good in the nursing home. So I’m what? Young, handsome, loving and just a bit weird. It makes me cool, though. How I got in with the friends I’m currently doing favours for – you could see I had a falling out with a band, then a girl slapped me, and another one, and some pink shoes were in a dumpster down the street, my car bumper wasn’t doing well, I switched locations, ain’t nobody chasing me and, well, it’s a long story.
I’ve personally got nothing against nobody. Unless they disrespect love. And I can tell you Jotaro Kujo’s big on disrespect.
Disrespect this and that and him and her and – who are you to be calling women bitches when they just want a piece? God, you gotta thank them and give them love. So our main guy had a problem, dragged his geezer along for it – if I’m not mistaken, a Frenchman, a cherry-lover and a weird shaman were involved, too. And the fucking dog – tell you the truth, dogs are no best friend, they the devil waiting for a weak spot to lunge at.
So, a merry band goes to kill a vampire with a big following. Of course some are going to get angry. I’m not one of them, I’ve only listened to stories. Here and there, and this one’s a dirtbag, that died, those were nasty, we laughed here and ran there, lots of failure and now we’re here.
I’m not a man who fails – have that as a disclaimer. So, it might be forty days since I met Jotaro now. You know, for a big as fuck disrespecter, he’s trying to be smart and, I gotta give it to him, he manages. Dreams – marine or something biology. Fine with me. Not interesting since it’s got no love inside of it but hey, perfection runs short these days. And I know from experience it’s hard being a good guy.
So, if you’ll be asking how I met Jotaro – we bumped once. Didn’t say sorry or anything. That when I knew the favour will be a breeze when it came to conscience. No guilt can torment me over a guy who don’t even say sorry when he bumps into you. Ah, but that’s not the important point. So, this job takes a bit of devotion and some inspection. I have to be careful with schedules, placements and the time of day. I also need collateral damage. I’m good at picking that shit out. Trust me on this. So I’m doing my thing, following, looking, inspecting, analysing – shouldn’t underestimate me when it comes to analysing.
I can sniff impossible love across a street. Cause some people just stink, you know? Jotaro especially. So it don’t really matter who collateral damage is. All it matters is to find somebody as stinky. And there’s this girl, man, they’ve probably talked twice or something of the sort. Share all their university classes. My momma would laugh if she knew I ever stepped foot inside a university. Back to the point. The girl stinks and Jotaro stinks. A match made in heaven. Pichit will have a fucking blast when I tell him about it later.
So, I got my collateral damage – a smarty pants with terrible hair. She’s got nice ears, though. Not big enough of a redemption but still. Nice feet, too. All I need is the placement and their university’s got this gorgeous fountain. Green stuff around, birds chirping, nice things. If they’re lucky, I’ll pin the time to two in the afternoon so they can have lots of sunlight. But that depends on circumstances, not on me.
Target – check. Collateral damage – check. Placement – check.
I need a time and that’s all up to fate but inspection lets me believe it should be coming along soon. You see, their schedules just barely brush at the fountain each Thursday. For – what? – fifty days now, I been watching the moment come closer and closer. They gotta come in contact or nothing’s gonna work out. But I said, I’m patient like my momma. And then we’ve got about a second to go and the job is done. It’s complicated shit when you’re telling it to somebody dumb. But I need lots of ingredients and, how do I dumb this down? I make prisons out of love. Here you go. Simplest description there is.
I’m hanging around on the rooftop, swinging legs and all, waiting for lunch break. I’ll probably have to hang around for another week before I can get to work but, hey, sandwiches here are pretty good. I have a perfect view of the fountain, too. I push my sunglasses and I see that big disrespecter come out of the building. It’s just the thing. He sits on the side of the fountain.
Some chick comes along begging for love and he’s being rude. And then my pretty collateral damage shows up – opposite direction, heading for him. Not for him, though. I know she sits on the other side of the fountain. But if there’s contact, there’s a miracle. I’m hanging off the edge of my seat. Literally. If I’m not careful, I’ll end up repaying favours from the clouds.
“You, bitch, come over here.” Or so I can picture him saying it. His hand waves. The chick next to him is smiling – wait, shit, there’s a spot on my sunglasses. No, no, she’s frowning. My collateral damage stops in front of them. I lean down further and stick out my tongue in concentration. You know, the worst part is not hearing shit when you gotta keep a distance. Something splatters on my shoulder. Man, this is a brand new suit. Fuck that bird. Oh, this stinks. And while I’m wiping at my suit with my glove – remind me to throw it away immediately after – there’s a giant as fuck splash down by the fountain.
Correction, in the fountain. I nearly gape when I look. Shit, fuck, this is perfect. Golden opportunity if I’ve ever seen one. My collateral damage’s in the fountain, soaked from head to toe. Jotaro probably pushed her. Perfect, perfect, perfect. Oh, this is spicy. She slaps his hand away when he reaches out for some reason. Dude, why you gotta make it worse on the girl you pushed? But this is my moment of contact. And here goes the job.
You gotta meet my buddy – Loverboy. Real cute guy. So I snap my fingers and he snaps his and it’s done. Well, not that quickly, but when we’re out of the loop, it will be. And I’ll still have to wash the freaking suit the bird shat on. Pichit will be paying for it. Now, honestly, all I gotta do is sit and watch the show. Do hope they make it interesting for me.
Tumblr media
“What’s going on?” Big wide eyes and clothes sticking to a shivering body.
“Hold still.” A commanding voice. She’s standing in the fountain and she can feel the water creating nasty friction between her socks and her toes. He’s looking around. He’s got the same mean look he does every day. It’s pissing her off because, all of a sudden, everybody’s gone and he’s telling her to hold still like it’ll make people reappear.
“Don’t tell me to sit still, Kujo. This is weird. I need to try to find somebody.” She crosses her arms and his eyes strike her, glaring sternly even when he’s the one sitting down.
“I told you not to move.” He tries to reach for her but she huffs and turns around, crossing the fountain and making water pour on the ground when she steps out and shakes her head before heading for the building.
He glares at her back and cautiously rises from his seat. This is a Stand at work. But whose? He needs to figure out the ability and the range. There’s nobody around when he was surrounded by people a second ago. And why is (Y/N) the only one with him? It has something to do with the ability, he’s sure of it. Either that or she’s the Stand user. A scream echoes and he whips his head in its direction. He sees brain particles splattered on the door frame as it crushes her.
Tumblr media
Just let me make a small disclaimer again. I can’t laugh in situations like this because I’ll be found quickly. But, man, seeing Jotaro the disrespecter’s shock when the door takes out my collateral damage – precious. Beyond precious.
And trust me, I don’t like squashing pretty ladies. But this one’s in for a lot of squashing and impaling and whatever else I can think of. Because, you know, I gotta make things plausible. Not just dangerous. And with how little chemistry there’s here, one or the other is sure to walk away from the safe starting point I picked out. I just have to wait for it and bam. But also, I didn’t actually think the door would work. If it hadn’t, I would’ve probably resorted to a bit of legwork. And I always have to kickstart shit because it’s not fun if I just leave them be. We all need a shock factor. Anyway.
First try. First fail. I think I’m aiming for twenty or so. Sounds plausible. Jotaro’s strong and he’s seen some shit so he’ll beat the average ten. But what’s twenty battles when you’re losing the war? Yeah, exactly – nothing. Oh, this will be quick, easy and fun. I love when things are quick, easy and fun.
Tumblr media
The same vacant yard. The same building. The doors are intact. Jotaro’s back to sitting down. His eyes widen and he glances at the fountain. She’s there and she makes no attempt to stand up. Wet from head to toe, staring ahead. She can’t see anything.
“Stand still now,” he commands immediately, reaching out a protective hand to prevent any movement in case she tries to be reckless again. This is without a doubt a Stand’s ability. But it doesn’t give him any hints as to the range and the essence of it. It gives him nothing besides the fact they shouldn’t go into the building. It would be safest not to move at all.
“I died.” Her voice quivers and her shoulders are shaken by violent tremors when he looks down at her. “It was real,” she whispers blankly, eyes wide with horror. His lips purse. He can’t make sense of this just yet but he knows now at least she’s not the Stand user. In that case, he has to protect her. He tells her she’s fine and she registers his presence. “You’re not the one who felt it! Kujo, I fucking died! It--- my fucking arm and my head---“ But she’s frantic and he has to lean over to grasp her shoulder.
“Quiet. I’ll get us out.” He lets it slip and she immediately asks if he knows what’s going on. “No. Not yet.” His eyes are scanning the space. The building seems empty. There’s no place around the yard that can hide a person and a Stand. It could be a long-range. She’s asking him what he knows. He keeps quiet. Approaching the building is dangerous. The opposite direction could be safe. He’ll have to test it. What’s the essence of this ability? Encapsulation, isolation – but a normal human is here, too. He hasn’t encountered such ability before. She’s saying he has to tell her because she died back there. He sighs. “This is the work of a Stand user. Our circumstances are the ability of the Stand.”
“And a Stand is?” She’s staring at him doubtfully while he explains a Stand is the manifestation of the owner’s soul and nobody knows exactly where they originate from. “So… a manifestation of somebody’s soul wiped everybody out and killed me?” She seems more and more dumbstruck by the second. She tries to scoot closer to his edge of the fountain.
“I don’t think everybody’s wiped out.” It would be impossible. A Stand cannot have such instantaneously giant destructive power and wield manipulation of space at the same time. If it did and he was the target, he would’ve died, too. She says that they’ve been wiped out and he shakes his head. “We could’ve been transported.” It’s the most plausible conclusion taking into account everything else.
“What, like an isolated case?” She’s staring up at him while he tries to surmise their surroundings again. Everything is faithful to reality but there are no other life forms besides them two. No birds when there were birds. No insects as far as he can see. It’s a mental trick.
“It’s the only thing I can think of which would allow for a restart the moment you died.” Because bending reality and time like that was impossible even for The World. It could freeze time for seconds but it couldn’t warp the physical world at will. Even Jotaro can’t. And when she asks if this is a mental or physical space because dying felt pretty real to her, he snorts. “It’s a mental space, no doubt. Now I just need to find the Stand user.”
“But if it’s a mental space, he won’t be here,” she argues instantly. His eyes narrow at her face – there’s water trickling down it. He knows she’s smart. He knows she’s quick to soak up information – quicker than him. He likes that about her. She might even prove to not be a nuisance while he’s trying to figure this out.
“So I have to gauge the ability more. If he’s here, I’ll find him. If he’s not, I’ll have to find a way out. He’s affecting the space around us so it’s a relatively long-range Stand. Which means it might be useless in close combat. When we find him, we’re out.” Jotaro stands up and spins in order to inspect the yard from all directions. They shouldn’t near the doors but can they go and check out the opposite side? And where would a Stand hide in here?
“You’re speaking from experience,” she observes solemnly. He spares her one look and doesn’t say anything. This requires more logic than it does strength. “What? So all of this is actually true and I’m supposed to believe it?” She’s just a bit outraged. He makes a step towards the fence on the left.
“Whichever you choose, don’t move.” The order is flat and harsh, and she sits in the fountain, crossed arms and a glare aimed at his back.
“You say, while you’re moving. What are you doing?” He nears the fence and tries to estimate whether movement in any direction signifies danger.
He’s about to look up when he can hear something moving down by his feet. The stone moves quickly but Star Platinum emerges just in time and grabs it as it's about to smash into Jotaro’s face. (Y/N)’s eyes widen at the happening. She can’t see anything but the rock hanging in the air next to Jotaro’s head. It happens way too quickly. Star Platinum is busy when the fence bends and pierces his chest. The pain is so indescribably familiar and he hates it. The sensation of dying isn’t so palpable.
“Seriously? You told me to sit still while you went ahead and died?” Her voice is loud and reproachful and he’s back at the fountain, sitting on the cold stone side while she’s inside, wet from head to toe and scowling at him.
“It wasn’t my intention.” But this proves it doesn’t matter who dies for the setting to restart. It also means the death isn’t truly real – if it was, the job would be done since he’s the target. There’s more to this ability. And surely, there’s a door of opportunity for them to leave its influence.
“Let’s just sit still and talk this time, okay?” She sits with her legs crisscrossed in the fountain and scoots closer. “Who is doing this to us? Not in the sense of a Stand user because I’ll just have to accept that part. I mean, who wants to kill us?” He sighs and says he’s the target since this is a Stand user. “You have how many enemies?” She quirks a brow and he looks at the way she wipes the water off her face. The sunlight makes each drop glimmer.
“I thought none,” he says with an averted gaze. She huffs and gets to clearing the wet hair from her forehead. He glances once and regrets it. Her neck is bare and while she’s flipping the hair behind her shoulders, he sees the way her shirt sticks to her chest.
“So we can’t figure out the person’s identity based on who you’ve spited,” she concludes slowly. “If you’re the target, why am I here?” He instantly dismisses that as unimportant. She gives a firm look. “I think it’s not. Now, I feel like you’re speaking Italian when you’re talking about Stands but they’ve got abilities. This particular one needs me here to be activated. So, is it a random pick or an ingredient?” He hasn’t thought about it but it’s more important to find the Stand user and beat his teeth out.
“I can’t say.” It’s a random pick at best in his opinion. He can’t be concerned with why it’s exactly her. But maybe he won’t be able to beat the Stand user seeing as this is a case of mental isolation. Could be a hallucination, an inner world, a visual trick or a way to manipulate and combine consciousness.
“We have to inspect that. Maybe it’s the way to getting out,” she insists on pursuing what for him is a dead end and he snorts at her adamancy.
“First, there’s no ‘we’ here. Second, all I need to do is find the Stand. Somebody is controlling our surroundings and if they’re confined in a mental space, the Stand has to be here to observe and monitor it.” In the least, the Stand would be present. The user can’t chart out a predictable script for their behavioural changes – he has to monitor and adjust his tactics according to their actions.
“And how do you plan on finding the Stand when we can’t move from the fountain?” She argues with a challenging look, making him glare. “I think my approach is better for our circumstances.” So she crawls out of the fountain carefully and sits next to him, glancing down at his backpack. “Can I use your notebook?” He sighs and waves a hand to convey that she can do whatever she wants. He turns to observe the fence that impaled him. Like the door, it wasn’t plausible for it to move in the way it did. Next to him, the girl chuckles. “This is cute, Kujo. It looks a bit like me.”
“It’s not you.” His head whips so he can observe what she’s talking about. Her fingers are leaving wet prints on his notebook and the page in the back is home to a sketch. He was bored and she was just two rows away. She was also the best subject. Her hair was nice that day. And she always seems to be immersed in classes she enjoys – her expression is very specific then. And pretty.
“It has my signature bun. And those right here are my favourite earrings,” she points out with a smug smile. His jaw clenches and he turns away from the drawing. “You had to look a lot to get the details. But my elbow’s a bit off. You weren’t listening in Anatomy class.” She’s mocking him and her elbow is nudging his arm. He purposefully moves further away and glares at the building to his left.
“Just shut up, (L/N).” But he can feel heat creeping up his neck and crawling into his face. His teeth are gritted. So what if he drew her that one time? It was a mistake anyway. Like when he stares at her. Or asks for her notes. She asks for his, too. They’ve had lunch together a few times. And just before the fucking Stand attacked, he might’ve been on his way to help her out of the fountain after the other girl pushed her and suggested that she wear his jacket.
“Are you embarrassed, Kujo?” She drawls with a smirk and water is dripping from the ends of her hair onto the notebook. She flips to another page so as to not ruin the sketch. “I’d show you how I made a cursive of your name when I was bored in Zoology but it’s drenched.” The offer makes him huff. His eyes are still on the university building on his left. She reaches into his backpack for a pen. “What if this is the link? I mean, us.” He’s about to call it ridiculous when he hears her breath hitch. She’s toppling over and he just barely catches her.
The fucking pen is jabbed into her throat.
She’s choking on the blood and there’s a gurgling sound just barely leaving her lips. His heart freezes at the sight. Her eyes are staring at him pleadingly. He swears he’s never felt this helpless. But also, this death is not real. It’s not real. The pain is hot and terrible but it’s not real. Three blinks later, she tries to say something. Doesn’t manage. And then she’s back in the fountain and the water isn’t turning pink because her blood’s dripping into it.
He lets out a ragged breath and reaches for her. Her eyes are wide, brows pinched together and she grabs his hand with no hesitation, clinging to it like her life depends on it. The shock will become too much for her at some point. He has to get them out before that. He pulls her closer, and slowly coaxes her out of the fountain and next to him. Water’s dripping from her, seeping into his clothes as he lets her cling to his arm for support and her breaths are quick and panicky.
He won’t be parting his eyes from her this time. Not for a fucking second. He’s responsible for this.
“Did you get scared, Kujo? You don’t let people touch you just like that.” She’s trying to mock him but she’s trembling and he tells her to shut up before grabbing his backpack and tossing it across the yard. Her fingers are weakly clutching his jacket. Maybe it’s about time he gave it to her because this might be a mental prison of some sort, but the sensations accompanying every action are very real. “I got scared. I couldn’t breathe. I don’t want us to be here.” Her lips are pursed and slowly pries her hands from his arm so he can take off his jacket.
“I’ll get us out.” He drapes it over her shoulders and she looks up at him, asking if he’ll do it her way. His lips purse. He still sees no sense in that. “Crack the ability by discovering why you’re here?” She nods and swears there’s a connection before asking if Stand abilities have ultimatums. He shakes his head. “They’re usually fit for combat. I haven’t seen such a Stand before,” he concedes with a lowered head. She scoots closer.
“And if there’s a way to get out without fighting it? It could be why I’m here.” He quirks a brow at the inquiry. Getting out without a fight seems too optimistic. And this isn’t supposed to be a puzzle.
“For conditions to be met?” She nods and her hair is wet. She tugs the jacket’s collar so it envelops her back better. It’s too big for her. She’s still shivering when, a minute of silence later, she asks if he has a Stand. “His name’s Star Platinum.” There’s a chance they won’t remember this after they get out.
“And you’ve fought Stands before?” She looks up at him. Her eyes are big and they twinkle in the sunlight. His lips purse as he remembers Egypt.
“I’ve killed their users, too. When a Stand dies, so does the user.” She doesn’t nod but he sees the fleeting shadow of horror on her face. He doesn’t want to scare her but she’s the one asking the questions. Of course, he can choose not to answer them. He doesn’t know why her presence predisposes him to honesty. He’s talkative around her. It’s weird.
“But if this Stand user’s goal is to kill you, he should’ve managed when… you know.” Her brows furrow and she puts a hand to her chin. The jacket slips off her shoulder. He reaches over and adjusts it. “And if the point of this is to restart when either of us dies, its goal lies in another course of action altogether. And maybe that’s why I’m here as an ingredient.” Her theory is as adamant as she is. But if her speculation is true, that means he either has to find the Stand or figure out the conditions he has to meet to get them out.
“What’s the course of action we need to take then?” He knows she’s smart. He respects her because she’s smart. She knows when to talk and when to think. Knows when to act and when to observe. Her intelligence has fascinated him since long before. But she only shakes her head now and says she hasn’t gotten that far. Silence settles again. He thinks about the conditions and the position of the Stand. He thinks about how he can move and act without leaving her alone or putting her in danger.
“Why have you fought Stands before?” She’s curious and he says it’s a long story. Quietly, he admits his mother was in danger. “How long ago was that?” She’s looking up at him and he snorts. He doesn’t like to think about it. When he thinks about it, he remembers Kakyoin. They could’ve studied here together.
“Three years.” And he got over it and kept going but he has so many nightmares it’s unbearable sometimes. He sees the pity slowly crawl over (Y/N)’s features. It makes her nose scrunch a bit at the bridge. Two wrinkles. They’re three when she’s disgusted. And two between the brows when she’s concentrating in class. “Why did you ask for my notes in our first year?” He doesn’t know why he asks it. She snorts and smiles.
“You were so antisocial I wanted to be your friend. You also seemed grumpy all the time. I didn’t actually need them but they were nice. You’re really diligent, Kujo.” The compliment makes him click his tongue before he says that’s not enough to cover up the fact she just called him antisocial. And the pity if there again for a second. “I get it now. So why did you give me your notes?” She asks in return and he rolls his eyes.
“Because I’m not a jerk.” She keeps staring like there’s another reason. He remembers it like it was yesterday – she stopped him after class and roped him into a roundabout introduction before begging for his notes. And he caught her lying because he learned later that the corner of her mouth twitches when she lies. She lied that she didn’t know his name. “Your smile was nice.” He can’t believe the nonsense he’s spilling but she only chuckles.
“Not anymore?” He doesn’t say anything when she teases him but he can deny it. Her smile is still very pretty. “You know, Kujo, that time you asked my favourite colour.” They were having lunch. She asked his. And then she lied that she didn’t know her own but he didn’t press. Now her smile didn’t twitch. “It’s actually your eyes. If it weren’t for the muscles and the dark and mysterious aura, you’d have fangirls because of them.” He scowled at the mention of fangirls and she snickered. “What? You don’t enjoy your fangirls?”
“No.” He hates them, in fact. Because he’s here to study, not to be surrounded by hordes of obnoxious girls. She is the only girl whose presence he can tolerate. It might have something to do with the smile.
“And if I was a fangirl? You’d be insulting me.” But he immediately says she’s not, to which she nudges him with her elbow. “True. My approach is way calmer. And better. Staying quietly in the periphery actually brings me a lot closer.” In order to prove it, she scoots closer. Her shoulder presses against his arm and he decides to leave it be. Then she jumps up. “Wait for a second, that’s it!”
“Stay down.” He grabs her wrist and tries to pull her down but she fights and turns to face him. She’s standing in front of him and their heights are levelled like this. He can see her eyes flicker excitedly as she tugs – not to free her wrist from his hold but to drag him along.
“No, it’s fine. We need to go. Inside, right now.” He says her name when she attempts to rush off towards the building and his fingers clutch her wrist harder. He can’t let her be harmed again. “Hear me out, Kujo. You said the Stand at least has to be here to monitor us, right?” She talks the same way when she’s cracked the code to a nasty question they’ve been asked in class. “And we don’t get harmed unless we step away from the fountain or come in contact with anything that can be used as a weapon. This means the Stand is watching us from the periphery – from a place that lets it analyse which objects it can use on us. I doubt it can see through walls.”
“So the building is a safe place,” he finishes her thought and she grins.
“Exactly. And it kept me from going inside the first time because the door was all it could see.” It sounds logical. It sounds too logical and it also sounds like a weakness they can use to their advantage. He can’t leave her alone so he’ll take her along. He stands and her wrist wriggles in his hold. He lets go and follows her towards the entrance. What’s the only place that allows a perfect view of the fountain?
“It’s on the roof.” His eyes dart upwards. They’re closing in on the door when he sees the railing on the steps leading to the entrance rip itself from the concrete and bend in her direction. He acts quickly but not wisely. He pushes her out of the way but he’s the one who suffers for it. A scream gets stuck at the back of her throat. The door comes undone and pierces him.

So, I gotta tell you that love is all about sacrifice. That happening down there is no sacrifice to me. I mean, love is about sacrificing others, not yourself. Love is about power, too. My old man liked to sacrifice others and my momma was powerful – they had love right there, somewhere between the bottles and the weird balloons. Whatever happens, Jotaro the disrespecter can’t love. Not really. Maybe his own mom, sure, but like – a piece of work like the collateral damage? Yeah, no way. I’m confident about that. Like I’m confident about a lot of other stuff.
Like when Pichit was about to break his leg on the rollercoaster or when Don lost his shoes and I told him the racoon got them. They don’t believe shit, those friends of mine. But it’s fine because we have our bromance and sometimes, we trust each other. Like they trust me with this favour and I trust they’ll wash my suit after it’s done. Loverboy, I gotta tell you, has real good eyes. Like an eagle. And sure, he needs a spot to watch from but I always pick a good spot for him. He’s my best friend because, you know, he’s me in a way. We both got good style. We love a lot and we hate people who can’t love. Strongest bond ever.
I think I got him when I was sixteen or something of the sort. Could’ve been seventeen. But he was no scary thing to me. Actually, he was my buddy right off the bat. Took me a while to figure out what he does but, hey, every friendship needs time to blossom. Kind of like when you’re getting to know a girl and she can make a cartwheel but she also wears flip-flops often. You gotta measure the sacrifice. Do I love the cartwheel or hate the flip-flops? But Loverboy and I got no such problems. We’re a good team and we’re strong in our own way. My momma used to say a friend’s there for you through thick and thin. No kidding. And that---
Ah, shit. Why do I have to waste so much time preventing stuff? I don’t fail so we got that. But seriously – why’s she protecting Jotaro now? Welp, here goes the sharp fence. I didn’t pick the fountain as a starting point for nothing. I can do this all day and they can’t stop it. Can’t figure it out anyway. What, like they’re geniuses? And I’m told Jotaro likes to work alone so there ain’t no chance in hell he’s going to warm up to teamwork, much less feelings besides frustration and helplessness when he’s in danger. He don’t give half a fuck for my collateral damage, dragging her along or not. If he leaves her alone, I shoot my shot. I don’t miss so that’s that.
Oh, how cute, he’s giving her his jacket. If it was me, I would’ve straight-up told her to take off her clothes. But the disrespecter’s not experienced or interested enough in true love tactics. Which proves to me I’ll be out of here and on my way in about… a second. It’s always a second anyway. Less sometimes. I’m good at mind games and not so much at calculation. But this don’t take no calculation. It takes patience. I got more of that than them. More love, too. Oh, here goes again. Let’s do the window this time. Haha. Quick, easy and fun. I’m having so much fun. What’s that? Oh. Shit. Shit, shit, shit.
They’re inside. Shit. I won’t be telling Pichit this part. If he asks, they never got away from the fountain. If you try to tell, well, who’s he gonna believe? You or me? Yeah, I thought so, too. Now I need to do some legwork. If you’ll excuse me.

“I think we’ll be fine here for a while.” He watches her slump against the whiteboard in the classroom on the second floor with a sigh. Water is dripping from her clothes and she grabs a marker from the professor’s desk. “Let’s get down to thinking. This is either a time capsule, an isolated loop or whatever. And we’re here. What do we have in common?” She’s writing on the whiteboard and he’s leaning against the first row where she usually sits.
“Our major,” he joins in the speculations reluctantly, making her shake her head. She writes down their names next to each other and hums.
“I’m thinking more character-wise. It’s a bit like a grumpy-sunshine trope.” He clearly doesn’t understand it and she clearly doesn’t want to explain. She draws a small raincloud next to his name and a small sun next to her own. He scoffs. “So, we’re opposites more often than not. We interact often. But why today?” He instantly says they can’t be sure whether the Stand user chose today purposefully or just activated his Stand the moment he got here. “The fountain’s a good spot he shouldn’t have known about, though. Visitors aren’t allowed on campus so he’s either sneaked in or is part of the student body.” For some reason, Jotaro doubts the latter. He would notice a Stand user in the student body.
“You’re saying he’s inspected the place?” He asks with a frown and she points out the fountain is a perfect starting point that can be guarded at all times from the roof. He admits it is. This has taken some research at least. The Stand user would have to familiarise himself with the place. Which means Jotaro has gotten too rusty from living normally to notice his presence.
“Again.” She taps the marker against their names and draws his attention back to the board. “We’re opposites. What do we make of that?” He makes nothing of it because the Stand user’s goal is to get rid of him. By all means, it’s the only thing he can aim to achieve.
“Nothing. It’s a useless train of thought.” Jotaro snorts in a gruff voice and she tucks her wet hair behind her ear and frowns in disagreement.
“And I think it’s useful.” The moment she argues is the moment a stiff realisation crosses her features. It’s a fleeting instant and then the words drop from her mouth. “Opposites attract.” Jotaro knows that’s the law of magnets. So what of it in this case? She grows frantic the more she explains: “If this is about opposite-sex isolation, it could’ve been any fangirl of yours. You even had one close by. The difference is… you don’t like them.” She’s written down their sex and squints at the board before looking at him. “Have you heard about the experiments where they put a man and a woman in a dangerous simulation and observe the spike of their behavioural changes?”
“No, and I don’t see what that’s got to do with anything.” He truly doesn’t. She can’t just weave a Stand ability out of thin air and unsupported speculations. Abilities in Stands are fit for battle, too – not social experiments. They usually differ according to their owner’s character, temperament and ideology but the main rule stands – they’re meant for combat.
“Could be nothing or everything. This Stand’s ability reminds me a lot of that. A man and a woman are in an isolated space with their adrenaline constantly being stimulated. In situations like these, the couple tends to bond way quicker.” She’s blabbering and he crosses his arms, watching her sceptically.
“You’re not saying this Stand is based on a social experiment meant to simulate love.” It’s audible how much he truly doesn’t believe in her theory.
“Stimulate, not just simulate,” she corrects with a huff. “Pairs who underwent the experiment had a spike in compatibility and are often recorded as dating in the aftermath even when they went into it as strangers.” He can feel she’s lost the point of this. They’re talking about experiments that have nothing to do with their predicament and the Stand is probably looking for them. The building has five floors. How long would it take for it to catch up to their location? Jotaro suspects another five minutes at best. Two if she keeps being this loud.
“So the point is to fall in love and we’ll get out of here.” He glares when she smiles in approval. “Can you hear how ridiculous that sounds? And even if it’s true, how would the Stand user know how we interact? And wouldn’t he rather put me in with somebody I hated and had no chance at all of becoming fond of?” He might’ve accidentally indicated he prefers her to any other girl he could’ve ended up with but she goes along with it, like she hasn’t considered anything else.
“Think about it, though. That might’ve been his exact thought. He won’t put you with any of your fangirls because they like you already and they show it a lot. Maybe he doesn’t know you so he’s just watched you and based on observation – I’m the only girl who appears to be disinterested.” She indirectly hints at something, too. He’s not dumb enough to miss it.
“Appears?” He echoes and the pointed intonation makes her lips purse as she considers what to say. She puts the market back on the professor’s desk and looks into his eyes. The green mingles with a bright baby blue and creates the perfect turquoise shade. She gulps.
“Sure. If he’s had a limited observational period – two weeks or something to pick me out, he would’ve seen that we barely talk and I don’t swoon when I see you.” And Jotaro instantly defends that it’s exam season and they’re busy, which just makes her nod along. “Exactly. He might not know that. It might just be a miscalculation on his end. This is good.” She seems almost excited to announce it. He huffs and pushes himself off the desk. He thinks he can hear something.
“You’re trying to convince me the point of this loop is to fall in love. It’s ridiculous,” he states once he’s positioned right across the door. He’s standing between it and her while she asks what else he can think of. The answer’s immediate: “That we’ve given the Stand enough time to sniff us out.” And when he puts a protective hand to tell her to stand back, her eyes widen. Maybe she can hear the steps, too.
“I love you.” But his eyes are pinned to the door and she’s tugging on his jacket. “Say it back.” Her fingers tremble and her voice wavers. He won’t be saying it because even if that’s the point, nothing will happen if it’s just words prompted by survival instincts. Then both of them can hear the windows behind her vibrate.
He turns around and cradles her head to his chest just as the glass explodes. She screams. Such a fucking cowardly Stand – can’t even use its own strength to overpower him. Glass shards are piercing his face. Blood drips on her hair. He has to lure him out and fight him. Star Platinum is on edge, waiting for guidance.
“Just say it!”
But he doesn’t have the time to part his lips when the door slams open. His vision is impaired – one of his eyes is positively blind and the other is full of blood. He feels her wrestle out of his hold and she can’t see Star Platinum but she stands in the way. It’s then he realises it might not be wise to let his Stand be harmed. But he doesn’t want her to be harmed either. He blindly reaches for her in an attempt to tug her back. Her arm’s in his hold and it’s too late. Through a red veil, he can see the blurry shape of a tall pink figure with flaming hair. And when her body falls back in his arms, the hole in her chest is visible. His heart flinches inside his chest. Star Platinum’s unharmed.
And then they're back at the fountain. In an instant, he turns around and his feet splash inside the water, glued to the stone under as his arms extend to he can hold her shoulders. Same exact time, she’s crawling closer to the edge with her fingers hastily reaching for his face. Horror is coursing through their veins and they think one and the same thing when their eyes meet: You’re fine. The relief is grand and visible, almost tangible in the air. No words are spoken as he draws her closer and she complies until she’s on her knees and her arms just barely envelop his back, fingers desperately clutching his jacket. His digits tangle in her hair. His free hand is splayed over her back, between the shoulder blades where the hole was.
“You were scared,” she mocks in a weak voice, face buried in his chest as he exhales, nose burrowed in her wet hair.
“Shut up.” The command makes her chuckle. He was scared shitless. He’s angry, too. Then she parts from him and her hands are damp as they cup his jaw. She slowly rises to her feet and he looks up. Her thumbs rub against his skin and when their eyes meet, there’s the rage of a thousand suns in her hues. He likes the sight of it. He hasn’t seen this side of her before.
“Let’s smash this guy’s face in.” She sounds deadly serious and he agrees. His fingers slowly wrap around her wrists and he stands up, head slowly turning towards the roof. Now they know where the Stand is. He’ll take her along and Star Platinum will be her bodyguard in case the fucking coward tries to pull another trick. If this is a mental space, Jotaro might be allowed the pleasure of beating up the Stand on his own.
When they step out of the fountain and kick their backpacks in the opposite direction, the fence acts up. It bends and its foundations tear the ground apart in their attempt to shoot in their direction. The attack is spoiled when Star Platinum prevents contact. And (Y/N) gapes at the fence suspended in the air, then he nudges Jotaro’s side and hums.
“I’m assuming I can’t see your Stand but is he, like, strong enough to rip out one of the sharp edges from the fence for me?” And before Jotaro can tell her that’s unneeded, Star Platinum does exactly as he’s told. She blinks at the fence that seems to be breaking on its own. Jotaro glares at his Stand. “I just think I need a way to defend myself. I took one year of fencing in high school.” And the rest of the fence drops to the ground but one metal rod with a sharp tip hangs in the air in front of her. She takes it from Star Platinum with her smile blindly aimed up. “Thank you very much, Star. He can hear me, right?” She glances at Jotaro, who only scowls.
“Right. And he’s being way too complaisant.” She chuckles at the sour note in his voice.
“You are, technically. A manifestation of your soul and will, if I remember correctly.” Her smile is bright and teasing, and he snorts.
When they head towards the door, a few stones try to create trouble. They evade the railing with no casualties and Star Platinum wrecks the door before it can collapse. Once they’re inside, the danger is gone. Jotaro’s walking ahead and she’s in the middle with Star Platinum behind her.
When they get to the stairs leading to the rooftop, the group stops and exchanges looks. They’re quietly ascending the stairs, Jotaro’s the one who breaks the lock on the door to the roof and (Y/N) clutches her weapon a bit tighter. He’ll make sure she doesn’t need to use it. When he slams the door open, the Stand is caught off guard. Instead of fighting, it adheres to its cowardly ways. Only Jotaro can see it.
He gives chase and she’s behind him, following even when she can’t see their target. The Stand is cornered easily and, what’s more, when it tries to use its ability to make a random inanimate object attack them, both attempts are foiled. It’s probably weird for (Y/N) to sit still, unaware that Star Platinum is beating up the other Stand while Jotaro observes.
One of the punches seems to hit the switch.

God, this hurts. My momma didn’t teach me enough to deal with pain. And what’s this unfairness? The bad guy isn’t supposed to win. I’m not supposed to fail. I can’t fail. This favour’s supposed to be quick, easy and fun. I love it when things are quick, easy and fun. My jaw might be broken. And my ribs. I can barely move. Fuck, I have to get out of here. I have to get out of here. This wasn’t planned. This can’t be happening. The bad guy can’t win.
And what if I was told not to underestimate him? I didn’t. It was all perfect. So why was he working with my pretty collateral damage? He’s not supposed to work in a team. They’re not supposed to get out before they off themselves. Fuck. I have to run. I have to run far and Pichit has to wash my suit and pay for the goddamn hospital bill. I ain’t taking any jobs after this. I don’t care about the followers or the favours. Fuck my friends, they didn’t even warn me this could happen.
Ah, I just want to go back to my flat with Loverboy and order take-out. I want shiitake mushrooms and shrimp. My momma used to make them tasty. Fuck.

Everything is loud and bright. Birds are chirping and a fly is buzzing by the top of the fountain. The noises are everywhere – so many people talking at once it’s almost deafening at first. Jotaro is blinking at the water splashing around inside the fountain. There seems to be a small rainbow where the sun hits the miniature drizzle just right. (Y/N) is inside, wet from head to toe and staring up at him with parted lips and wondrous eyes.
Both of them are overwhelmed by the noise and the colours and the people. Some are having lunch, others are talking in small groups, walking around, crossing the yard, standing still, laughing, joking, and complaining. Voices and people everywhere. Even the girl who pushed (Y/N) into the fountain is still at Jotaro’s side, looking down at them with a scowl.
Everything went back to the instant they were transported by the Stand’s ability.
Jotaro gets the very intense urge to get in the fountain and hug her. She, in turn, is struggling with her own wish to jump and tackle him to the ground in front of everybody. Instead, she grins up at him and he offers her a hand. This time, she takes it. His fangirl doesn’t enjoy the sight. He couldn’t care less but she obviously has a vengeful side to her because once she’s standing to her feet, at least three people are looking at her wet form and Jotaro helps her jump out of the fountain, she slowly lets go of his hand and aims a big smile at the fangirl.
“Thank you for this, Hori. I’m indebted to you and I like how my hair looks when it’s wet. I’ll buy you lunch tomorrow, okay?” The girl blinks at her, utterly stupefied and just a bit disturbed. (Y/N) turns to Jotaro and smiles at him, too. “Now, should we go?” He sighs and they hold onto their backpacks while rounding the fountain. Jotaro knows they’re heading to the rooftop.
“You didn’t make a scene,” he remarks on their way into the building. She’s just a bit wary of the door. Her shoes squeak down the hallway and people are staring at her weirdly. She’s not used to it because she forgets her appearance is supposed to inspire confusion.
“You’re taking me out on a date later, Kujo. She deserves gratitude.” The quip makes the dark-haired male glance down at her doubtfully. He has to admit maybe he doesn’t mind the idea of taking her out on a date. Most of all when it would’ve taken him way longer to get out if he’d been on his own. Still, he’s just a bit surprised at how well she’s taking this – mostly the aftermath that might’ve left her scarred. He hands her his jacket and she drapes it over her shoulders. “Thanks. How about you don’t kill the guy? I want to ask him about my theory.”
“You look quite unaffected by the experience, (L/N).” The remark makes her lips purse. Even if the death wasn’t real, the sensations were quite on point. He glimpses momentary discomfort on her face before she lets out an airy chuckle.
“I think we’re close enough to use first names at this point. And also, I might be a bit more adaptable than I thought.” In spite of that, Jotaro stays mad at the stupid fuck who intervened in their normal lives. She would’ve been better off not living this. They’re climbing the stairs and the lock on the rooftop door is already broken when they arrive. Jotaro opens the door and expects a fearsome enemy’s attack. He’s not prepared for the disfigured bleeding mess on the floor. Next to him, (Y/N)’s eyes widen in fright and her nose scrunches up. Three wrinkles for disgust.
“G-Get away from me!” The guy draws back in horror, splayed on the ground and trying to crawl back. He has two pink tresses in his blond hair. “F-fucking psychos! How did you---“
“Let me stop you right there,” (Y/N) says, stepping forward and glaring down at his bloody face. As far as Jotaro can see, he’s got a broken nose, a split brow and two busted teeth. His ribs are probably cracked. “We’ll walk you out of the university premises and you won’t come back ever. But before that, I want to ask you about your Stand’s ability. It’s a mental space, right?” The guy blinks at her.
“A loop, yea. B-But you’re fucking crazy and I don’t have to answer any questions.” His voice comes out wheezy and squeaky. He’s shaking in fear. Jotaro quirks a brow at his defiant behaviour and (Y/N) glances at the dark look on his face.
“I think you’ll prefer it to the other option.” She’s not smiling but her voice is upbeat and placid. “Now, since it’s a loop in a mental space, was there a way for us to get out without beating your Stand?” She isn’t nearly as disturbed by the sight of the beaten-up man. Jotaro thinks this much is enough although he wouldn’t be against some more. An additional punch or two just to be safe. The guy spits out a spiteful spoonful of blood and snorts.
“Yeah, the disrespecter here had to give up on shit a-and off himself because you’re not compatible at all and---“
“So we had to fall in love or kill ourselves?” She cuts off with wide eyes, making Jotaro’s lips purse. The guy at their feet growls in outrage and points up at the dark-haired Stand user.
“T-That’s the whole point! He can’t love shit and you’re the perfect collateral damage because you barely talk to him!” His words would have made sense if it weren’t for her theory. She’s grinning and her hands are on her hips when she tips her chin proudly and looks up at Jotaro, who only averts his gaze in spiteful defeat. He shouldn’t have let her come along. She could’ve gone through life without the knowledge she was right.
“I told you! I was right the whole time!” Her finger jabs into his biceps and she tugs on the jacket around her shoulders while clearing her throat and looking down at the guy again. He’s staring at her like she’s crazy. He probably thinks they’ll kill him or something. “I figured it out. Without the part about killing ourselves. It’s a smart move but… we actually like each other, I think.” She gestures at them and the guy’s face contorts in utter disbelief. Jotaro clicks his tongue at the pathetic sight.
“So thanks for the date.” His deep voice makes (Y/N) grin.
“Y-You weren’t supposed to… Y-You can’t possibly, I watched you! You hate everybody! A-And---“
“Let’s get you out of here, huh? You’re pretty shaken up.” She crouches in front of the guy and he doesn’t dare strike her for fear Jotaro will act faster. They force him to his feet and he’s shaking like a leaf. Jotaro’s the one who has to support him on their way down the stairs. “Do you have a car or should we call an ambulance?” But he’s nearly catatonic because of the shock and doesn’t answer. “I didn’t think you’d beat the sense out of him, Jotaro.” She shoots Jotaro a look of reproach and he huffs.
“Let’s just walk him out and leave him outside.” Less than three minutes, they’re sneaking out of the side door leading to the parking lot. She’s wet from head to toe and they’re helping a bleeding man limp between the cars. When they reach the side entrance, Jotaro lets the Stand user slump down to the ground against the fence and glares at him. (Y/N)’s the one who crouches down, grips his nose and harshly pushes to the left. The guy screams and bites down on his tongue.
“I hope it hurt like a bitch. That’s for the long-term paranoia I’ll have around doors. And for making me see the guy I like being in pain.” Jotaro’s eyes widen at the action and her words, and then she stands to her feet, leaving the Stand user to whimper in pain while she heads back to the building. “Do you have anything to say to me about my theory?” She teases when Jotaro opens the door for her.
“It’s a bullcrap ability that wasn’t supposed to exist at all,” he states with a huff. She smiles and says it’s enough that he’s a bit spiteful in his rejection, then complains that she needs dry clothes to attend her next class. He hums and he knows it’s out of character when he suggests: “We can skip.”
“I didn’t think you were a bad boy, Jotaro.” She smirks and he clicks his tongue. “We do deserve rest after this. Might’ve been less than a second in reality but all the stress drained me. Are you hungry?” But both of them know neither had time to enjoy lunch and the experience messed with their heads in terms of orientation through time. He nods and she’s very transparent in her offer. “Come over so I can change and maybe I can cook for us.”
“Traditional?” He questions with a quirked brow and suggests omelettes and miso soup. He’s on board. And when they’re heading for the main entrance, she asks if he thinks the guy will try to attack him again. He sees the uncertainty on her face and shakes his head. “His Stand is the most cowardly thing I’ve seen. He wasn’t much better. He won’t risk it.”
“It’s weird how he accidentally picked the right people,” she muses with a hum. “He was so shocked we worked together, too. Do others think we don’t get along, too?” He thinks whoever even cares enough to be acquainted with them is pretty much aware they’re on good terms. And some – the ones she calls his fangirls – might even be suspicious regarding more. She wouldn’t be getting pushed into fountains otherwise even though Jotaro is greatly annoyed by the fact girls have turned pursuing him into a competition with him as the prize.
“Do you care about that?” He glances down at her and sees her tug his jacket and burrow her nose in the collar with a thoughtful hum. She’s cute sometimes.
“Depends. Maybe not.” So he thinks the conversation is done for the time being. Less than a minute late, she asks: “Hey, Jotaro, that one time we got to the classroom – would it have worked if you’d said it?” He knows exactly what she means and his blood runs cold in nervousness at the mention. Seeing as he refuses to answer, she nudges his arm with her elbow. He won’t say it. “Oh, come on, we survived a shitload together, you can tell me that at least.” Her eyes are twinkling up at him pleadingly.
“We’ll never know,” he concludes in a gruff voice. He’s scowling when she says she can just get the guy to activate his Stand’s ability again and have them test her theory. But there will be no need for that. “I’ll just beat him up again.” He’s glaring, tipping his hat lower, and she laughs. It’s a nice sound.
“You’re red, Jotaro.” She’s annoying. Annoyingly smart, too. His face is red, she’s smiling knowingly and she’s pretty even when she’s annoying. He doesn’t say anything. He doesn’t need to. It would’ve worked.

Jotaro : Good grief, save all the hugs and kisses. Remember don't make any noises around the place next time. Remember, we are making new episodes every day and you need some rest. So please, no more interruptions. I really need my beauty sleep. (Closes door)
Fuuko : So, now that's done by the way, you wanted to go make me giving you a good luck kiss?
Andy : That's exactly that I would want to hear, Fuuko.
Fuuko : Well, then. Coming to bed while finishing reading, Honey?
Andy : Yes dear.
"The Next Day..."
*Door Banging*
Andy : I'll get it! (Opens door)

Gina : It's because of you just gave her with a lucky wish!
Andy : Oh, I actually understand that and I have one common thing that I have to say...(realizing) I forgot that people are shipping between me and Fuuko? WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FU-
Tomska : THE END.

🗡 FANFIC: WAITRESS ; JOTARO KUJO 🗡
MINORS DNI. Explicit sexual content under the cut.
CWs: TOP GENDERNEUTRAL READER, no genitals mentioned. GENDERBENT JOTARO KUJO (afab butch lesbian, he/him pronouns), SEX WORK (brothel), use of SEX TOYS.
You are visiting again your favourite restaurant, The Speedy Wagon, and you are certainly excited to meet your favourite waitress once more.
"... Welcome to the Speedy Wagon, where we have the best buns, how may I help you tonight?"
You try your damn best to hold in your laughter, as you hear the words coming out of your waitress' mouth. It's not even the sentence, which you've grown used to hearing with how much you come to the place ever since you found it, but the way that he says it—
Jotaro is by far one of the oldest members of the staff when it comes to work experience, but his unapproachable, always-annoyed attitude make it seem like he isn't used to the environment, and he always looks embarrassed at the clearly sexual catchphrases the employers have to put out there.
The 'Speedy Wagon Foundation' is a fast food restaurant that over the years developed into a night bar and borderline brothel, though it certainly keeps that part of it under wraps as much as possible with its exclusivity. You came across the place thanks to an invitation, and it took several monthly visits and a subscription to be able to access the more obscure part of the place.
You loved it, though.
Everyone there worked at their own free will (no matter how much some —Jotaro— seemed to despise it), and you got to see a bunch of cheerful, coquette women prancing around different secluded stalls, carrying foods and drinks and miscellaneous objects of entertainment for their guests.
Jotaro, or Jojo, as he prefers to be called by some clients (his favourites, you knew with quite a bit of pride), is a huge butch woman with short, wavy dark hair hidden under a cute black hat, piercing blue eyes and a powerful build that could (and had) scared many in the past.
But not you. You adore him. You love coming in month after month and being received by his grumpy little pout, as he grabs at your arm and drags you to your preferred table, crossing his arms under his chest and pushing it up for your enjoyment, as you take him in with absolute delight.
This month, the outfit seems to be inspired by Hooters. Though incredibly more slutty.
How did they even manage that?
Jotaro is wearing a cropped white shirt with the initials of the restaurant across the chest, and it barely does anything to hold his tits in place. It doesn't shy from showing all of his torso, and you get to take in his six-pack (holy shit) and the edge of a little trail of hair that disappears into an orange mini-skirt, along with the strap lines of his underwear hugging his hip bones. You wonder if it's as skimpy as it looks, and your mouth grows dry thinking of him bending over for you.
"Are you going to fucking order?"
He snaps, annoyed as you zone off for too long, though you catch his cheeks growing red and he pulls his top down a little further (and does he even realize he's showing you more of his chest this way?)
"Ah! Sorry, Jojo," You laugh, unconcerned by his rage, and toy with the menu, "i've been a little tired. Could I ask for some medium french fries, a coke, and a small cheeseburger?"
He huffs, producing a little notebook from his back pocket and presumably writing your order down. He doesn't ask you if you want anything else before he starts turning around to leave the booth, but you stop him with a gesture.
"Oh. And I'd love some private time with you afterwards, if you are free."
His pupils dilate, and you see his hands tensing up around the little notebook. He doesn't reply to you, instead turning his back to you and leaving you alone.
You smile a little, pleased, recognising in the flush of his ears how much he is into the idea. You are one of his favorite customers, after all.
———
Dinner goes by calmly, you barely request Jotaro with the provided buzzer to come see you once to refill your coke, to his extreme annoyance, but you are done eating fairly quickly.
Still, you feel… famished. There's a craving you haven't sated yet, and you know exactly what you need to fill it.
You press the buzzer twice, the code within the establishment for your waitress of the night, and only need to wait a couple of minutes before Jotaro is poking his head in, brows furrowed and lips pursed.
"You done?"
"Yep!" You tell him cheerfully, making a show of dusting your lap and running your fingers through your hair, fixing yourself up.
Jojo curses quietly, stepping into the booth and closing the curtains behind him, making his way a couple steps away from your seat on the couch to stare you down. He drops on the table a small, opaque box that you know contains whatever you might need for the night.
"What."
You smile at him, and bite your lip.
"Can I say that I missed my favorite waitress?"
He looks like he's going to kill you (and you wouldn't put it past him, really), but seems to make up his mind before committing such a crime. Instead, he approaches you and pushes at your arms til you rest them back, and he carefully settles down on top of your thighs.
He's massive. You have his chest pressed against your chin because he cannot physically put more space between the both of you like this, and you cannot help your sigh. Your hands sneak around his waist, pulling him closer and burying your face further into his flesh.
He's so warm, and big, and you really have to mind yourself before coming to visit him on a daily basis because the place is already expensive enough as it is.
"Missed you so much, Jojo" You drag out, feeling a little dizzy with your lust, and you hear his heart beating faster.
"Idiot," He curses you, squirming a little closer, "do something about it."
That is all you need. You lift your head up and make eye contact with him, enjoying how his eyes are half-lidded and darker in their desire, and with a hand on his jaw, you bring him down into a kiss.
He tastes like cocoa chapstick, and you feel the gentle rumbling of a moan escaping his lips when your tongue caresses him. Jotaro is so damn cute, angry and distant but always craving this sort of tender love that he must not get often.
You treat him well, which must be why he always wants to be your waitress. You like doing this— kissing him real nice, gentle and slow, until he's spreading himself further on your lap, burying his hands in your hair and humping the air on top of your lap in his neediness.
He needs you. That makes you feel so excited no matter how many times you get him like this. Jojo isn't needy for anyone— you know some of his other customers out of the familiarity that comes with routine, and you know that he's the one who gets them to beg and plead and drool.
But not with you.
When he's with you, Jojo melts that shell away. You still remember how surprised he had been the first time you went down on him, babbling out angry, desperate little rebuttals about how unnecessary this was, and to stop being such a stubborn idiot client, only to let you make him come twice under your tongue and fingers, weakly clawing at the table and tensing his shaky legs.
Now he lets you do as you please, keeping up his tough facade and bringing you his favorite toys to have you rail him the way he needs it.
"Jojo, Jojo," You whisper to him in between kisses, and roll your hips to meet him. He gasps at the gesture, despite the lack of friction, as desire makes his brain a little fuzzy, and you chuckle. "You are so handsome, Jojo. Did you get me something nice to fuck you with, sweetheart?"
"Shut up," He bemoans, fingers digging into your shoulders, "kiss me."
You laugh, taking his mouth into a kiss once more with your eyes closed, and you slide your hands downwards, over the slight bumps of his spine mostly covered by corded muscles, until you meet the edge of his skirt.
You grab at the supple flesh of his ass and squeeze, pressing him down and against you, guiding his movements in a slow grind that makes his breath shake and his kisses become sloppier. He bites at your bottom lip, gently sucking on it in what you've come to understand is his way to deal with his oral fixation.
He is so cute.
With a small wet noise, you pull your face back, and you grab at the strap of his underwear and snap it against his skin.
"This mustn't cover a thing," You smile, showing a glint of teeth. "Why don't you bend over for me, Jojo?"
He goes stiff for a second, before climbing down from your lap and smoothing his hands over his skirt in a futile attempt at decency, only to turn his back at you and rest his torso over the table, chest down.
It makes the poor excuse of a cover give up, with the skirt folding up the curve of his ass the second he leans down a little too much, and when his thighs spread an inch further, you get to confirm that there really isn't anything covering him.
You inhale, trying to be somewhat decent, but quickly catch yourself giving in, pressing your hands over the back of his upper thighs until your thumbs press and the junction of pelvis and legs, coaxing him to spread himself further for you.
"Look at you, sweetheart," You murmur reverently, the line of his underwear failing to cover the dark bush of hair between his legs, or the wetness that has started to drip down his labia, "did you get so wet by getting kissed? What a cute little thing you are."
You hear his fist making contact with the table, and the clinking of the glass as it jumps a little, but you cannot feel anything close to fear when you can follow with your eyes a drop of slick running down his skin, and how he twitches with your words.
"Get on with it, shitface."
How could you deny him?
You make quick work of pulling down his underwear, carelessly letting it drop to his ankles, before you kneel in between his legs, surrounding his massive thighs with your arms and burying your face in his cunt.
This is one of your favorite places in the world, meaning both the restaurant and this spot between Jotaro's legs. He tastes clean, barely a hint of sweat coming through, but your senses are quickly overwhelmed by the actual tang of his slick, salty and familiar, and your eyes roll back.
You want to stay here always, and you express your gratitude by running your tongue between his lips, lapping up the fluids from his skin and prodding at his hole, cherishing the feeling of him clenching down on your tongue and how he shoves his hips back to meet you in the middle.
You fuck him slow, like this. Shallow and gentle, letting his movements rub his clit on your chin as you rub the sensitive skin of his thighs. His muscles tremble underneath you, and you hear him sigh and gasp as he lies on the table.
Carefully, you reach downwards to press on his clit with two of your fingers, kissing at the skin of his ass before spitting on him, adding to the mess of fluids that is already starting to drip down, and use that to ease the friction as you start rubbing him in quick, tight circles. He rewards your efforts by clenching down hard on your tongue the second you go back in, whimpering and cursing senseless words when you get him to come for the first time of the night.
It's easy to help him back down, slowly stopping the motions of your fingers and pressing a small kiss to his clit before standing back up. Your chin is wet, and you know that there's a certain sort of satisfaction in your face that you only get after doing this.
"How are you holding up, sweetheart?"
You smooth your hands over his hips, leaving behind a small trace of wetness over his skin that he grimaces at. Still, he doesn't seem able to complain much— he's all red in the face, eyes dilated and mouth hanging open as he pants, calming himself down.
"It was— okay," He concedes after a second, thighs twitching, and you grin. "Don't be so sappy."
Tough luck. You rest yourself over his lax body to kiss at his covered back, humming in content. You let him rest for a few seconds longer, until his breathing goes back to a regular speed, before your hands wander again—
You pet his lower stomach, feeling the skin beneath your fingers jump, and you rock your hips forward and into his, relishing the choked gasp you get from him.
"I just want to make you feel good. What did you bring me, handsome?"
You don't wait for his answer, peeling yourself away from him to get the toy box he brought, easily opening it and scanning the objects with a smile.
You expected most of the things there— strap-on, condoms and lube are the usual, but your surprise comes with the actual toy. This isn't part of the restaurant's stash, this is instead one of Jotaro's personal toys, which he had admitted to shamefully after bringing it on a couple of recurring occasions.
It makes you so happy to know that he would bring this for you, especially knowing how easy it is for you to utterly destroy him when you are using something he likes so much.
You shimmy yourself out of your pants, and carefully pick up the strap-on, getting it up your legs and fixing the straps over your hips, before grabbing the dildo, a beautiful 8 inches of silicone in deep violet, with little speckles that made it shine. You know that he enjoys it for the curve, and the textured shaft with the multiple bumps along the length.
You put it on, rolling a condom over it, and consider asking him at some point to fuck you with it.
But that's for another time.
Right now you make sure to lube yourself up well, no matter how wet Jotaro is, and nudge at his leg until he catches on, flipping over carelessly until he's resting his back on the table, glaring at you without any heat.
"Good job, Jojo," You hum, and his hips twitch. You step closer, grabbing at his leg and placing it over your shoulder, kissing the meat of his thigh, "so good for me. Are you ready, handsome?"
He exhales, hooking his other leg over your hip, and placing his hands flat on the table. He lifts his chin, probably trying to challenge you, to seem somewhat in control, and you placidly smile back at him. He's so cute.
"Very well, then."
With that, you line yourself up with him and slowly push yourself inside of him, taking the time to let him feel every single inch slowly disappearing inside.
He's well prepared, but the stretch is still considerable, and you can see him as he closes his eyes tightly and open his mouth in an 'o', gasping short little puffs of breath when you roll your hips back every couple of inches, aiming the bulbous tip of your dick to rub firmly against him.
Jotaro is such a sight. Sweat is making some of his curls stick to his forehead, and the muscles of his legs jump whenever you get the angle just right. You whisper sweet reassurances that make him moan, uselessly digging his fingers onto the table.
"Good, good," You whisper, kissing at his thigh.
"O-Oh—" Jotaro cries, when you manage to press your hips flush to his, and his hand shoots down to his stomach, pressing down on his lower belly as if he's trying to feel you, "holy shit, holy shit."
You bite at your lip, brow furrowed in concentration, and your eyes glint a little with pride. It's always a huge stretch to get him to take all of it, but he is so good for you.
"So good for me, babe. So fucking good for me," You groan, hugging his thigh properly with one arm and steadying his hips before you pull backwards a couple of inches, and finally get to properly fucking this gorgeous woman.
You roll your hips into his steadily, grunting with effort as the wet slap of skin fills the room. The silicone glints with lubricant, and you are transfixed by the sight of his body swallowing the massive thing up almost with ease.
"Look at you, look at you," You gasp, and join the hand on his stomach to press down on it. Jotaro shouts, curling into himself and grabbing at your wrist a bit too harsh, and you know by the way he starts to trash in place that he's coming—
Overwhelmed and overstimulated, he chants your name in broken whimpers, and you still your hips inside of him, reaching down between his slippery folds to rub at his clit in short flicks of your fingers, dropping your usual gentleness to push him further, and further until,
"Fuck!" He sobs, short fingernails grasping at your arm before he peels your hand away from him, trembling in your grasp and mewling out tender cries of pleasure, "T— fuck, too much, fuck, fuck, fuck."
His cum gushes down the purple silicone and onto your thighs, and you thrust into him twice more before allowing him some mercy, carefully extracting yourself from him.
He curls up, bring his knees up before dropping them back down, resting completely boneless on the table as the trembling subsides.
You rest your hand on his stomach, petting him softly, and give him a little grin.
"Same time again next month?"
He doesn't have the strength to curse you out for your cheekiness.

A Deadbeat’s Journal 23
A Jotaro Kujo x blackreader! fic
1 May 20XX,
To be extremely fair, this is what I wanted but not what I expected. I love Brazil. I especially love how familiar Brazil feels to me. For a minute, looking into the distance, I see home. Though the illusion fades whenever someone speaks Portuguese to me and I have to go “eu não entendo” (I don’t understand) and then they begin speaking English to me like how embarrassing! Like it’s genuinely giving tourist vibes and I hate how I seem like a target to scammers now.
Also the gunshots?? I’ve heard gunshots before but gosh, are they always that loud? Patience was introducing me to some of her colleagues in the organisation she’ll be working with and tell me why I heard blaring police cars racing armed mafiosos that are just shooting up the streets with no disregard. Like, they definitely don’t make those kinds of moves in the richer areas.
Speaking of the inequality gap, can we just talk about race for a brief moment? I always knew I was black but damn after the tenth neighbour looked me up and down in the public pool area of the apartment complex, I noticed that all the scowlers were a bunch of wrinkly red-toned white people. Rather than minding their business and investing in some proper sunscreen, one of them even had the audacity to call apartment security and I think their saggy skin dropped in shock when they found out we are renters just like them. Mind you, they said something about favelas and only played nice when they found out we aren’t even Brazilian. When the people of Rio have their next protest, you best believe I’m front and centre.
Aside from that one instance though, the people here are a lovely bunch. I mean in the evenings when we got out of Patience's new office buildings, you see women dancing with blaring speakers and children playing football or even having mini dance competitions and I have to say, I did put my best foot forward courtesy of Step Up (The office mob dance scene is a part of my consciousness) But when it came to b-boying, I was ate up, no crumbs. Abdul however, managed to moonwalk his way through victory and Patience practically spit at the face of her ancestors with her atrocious freestyle.
Then we headed to the food stalls and I’m sorry to say this but Kenyan street food DOES NOT compare. I mean, who even thinks of a chicken kebab with cassava shavings on top? And I’ve never had healthy yet savoury hotdogs and smoked chicken. Even the scent of the food took me back to the cultural festival and I wish I could send him some food but a gloating picture of me eating will do.
Anyway, it's been a lovely week and so far, Rio has treated me kindly. Like even as we were unpacking and genuinely goofing off before we started working , I did not think (as much) about what I left. Though Mom does call me daily alongside Samosa and Granny so that kind of helps. Jojo is calling, I have to catch this call.
Third-Person Narration.
Y/n went in her finest suit, all black and tailored with a little scarf on her neck to add a layer of colour. Though this proved to be a problem as after she stepped out to the morning sun, she realised her outfit choice was not suited for a long working day. Luckily she’d be staying in an air-conditioned environment so after hailing a cab she headed straight for the Starfish Hotel.
“Y/n you do know that I love you but just know that I pulled many strings to get you this position so please don’t act up.” Joseph pleads to the speaker.
“As I said in my CV, I work well with people ” Y/n mutters to the phone as she enters the cream-coloured reception area. The brown-skinned woman with a serene smile, dressed in the hotel’s white polo shirt with the hotel’s logo embroidered on the side looks up to her after welcoming the family in. She nods politely in question and y/n quickly mutters,
“Ok bye, take care, love you.” and cuts before listening to the barrage of ‘must-dos’ that Joseph is insistent she keeps through.
“Hi, I’m Y/n and I’m here for the clerk position,” Y/n said with as much enthusiasm as she could. The receptionist's smile tightened before once more relaxing to a less frigid one and said softly in a tone that has to have been dipped in honey
“Oh, welcome, Please, let me help you to the office.”
She opens the wooden door beside her semi-circular large desk that shows her to management and it's almost like opening the doors to a mini paradise. Unlike the old office that faced the ocean, the floor-to-ceiling windows faced the nearby forest and gave the entire area a cool and refreshing look. White marble floors and a sparse yet open planned office area definitely increased the large room’s capacity. Minimalistic tables and chairs filled the area though it was soothed by the colourful pillows and decors that adorned each employee's taste. She was shown to the desk in a corner and excitedly said,
“Thank you, I can't wait to decorate it.”
She simply nodded and showed y/n to the break room. Though small and kind of claustrophobic due to the little window high up, the baby blue background,  dark green rug carpet that made itself known in almost every crevice of the room, and comfy yellow bean bag chairs that were sparsely placed made the room feel brighter. Atop the white marble-walled counter sat a white smeg coffee maker and a matching fridge at the furthest left corner.
She found a few of her colleagues talking though the loud ramblings turned to hush murmurings when she entered the room. The receptionist then said.
“This is Y/n our new colleague. Please make her feel welcome.”
The blonde gave a polite smile and nodded. The taller of the man, with distinguishably blue eyes and a lean frame, nodded in acknowledgment yet the last guy, with bleached blonde tight coils and brown eyes that y/n thought would look stunning when reflected by the sun rays slightly sneered.
“Welcome Y/n I hope you have a wonderful time here with us, I’m Melanie, the supervisor.”She says whilst shaking her hand which she shakes in response.
“Hey, I’m Lucas, Head of HR, pleasure.” He says this time with a small smile as she greets him. She heads to greet the third colleague, arm already outstretched when he says,
“Are you Joseph Joestar’s granddaughter?” He questions with a glare. Y/n quickly retracts her hand and replies smoothly.
“Not biologically but yes he considers me like family.”
He murmurs something in Portuguese which the receptionist and Lucas laugh slightly at. Melanie however, stays quiet and looks onto them in disappointment. Y/n although unaware, is very much sure a slight insult has been made due to the acknowledgment of how she got here, and tightness pools in her heart.
4 May 20XX,
I can’t stand him. Honestly, aside from school, I don’t think there have been many times I’ve reached breaking point till now. It's almost like Thiago is aimed at making my life a living hell. And what’s worse, aside from Melanie, almost everyone doesn't seem to mind. Matter of fact they might be revelling in the fact that they can treat me like absolute shit. And it's not like physical bullying like forcing someone to submit to them by demanding unheard-of paperwork or getting them coffee. This one actually stings. They purposely block me out of conversations by speaking in Portuguese, they refuse to sit by me during lunch and I’m treated like a pest when I need some files translated.
To be honest, it hurts even more when it comes to Nalu. I would have taken the stiff hospitality any day in comparison to the cruelty she displays when she and Thiago scoff in my presence. I can tell she likes him and could be also doing this to win his favour or she’s just a bully that likes stomping on people. I feel like I’m in kindergarten, trying to fit within the already tight-knit groups, but I don’t think even then the kids were mean to me.
Melanie however, despite her busy nature, has been my saving grace. She's too busy helping Pedro in managing the hotel but is always checking up on me. She and the lovely janitor Julietta, who’s surprisingly Thiago’s cousin, are the sole reason I’m not eating lunch in the locked bathrooms. Julietta, especially, has been loud about her disapproval of the way they treat me and seems especially annoyed at Thiago who she assured is ‘Not like that’.
Well, Julietta, he is like that and he should be grateful I’m taking meds and went to therapy. Speaking of which, I need a new therapist, it seems like I’ll need it.
Third Person Narration
“Hi, my love.” Jotaro’s even deeper voice voices out as y/n places herself sideways whilst looking at him.
“Hi, Jojo. I miss you.” Y/n says softly.
“I miss you more. Why do you look so sad? “ Jotaro questions while peering at the slight pout that seems more of a permanent fixture as the days go by.
“Nothing.” She withdraws while attempting to smile.
“Baby, just tell me, and I’ll listen to you vent.”
And this ensures a long ranting session where he calmly listens, eyes never looking away, ears fine-tuned to the soft ramblings of her troubled work life, nodding and interjecting only when he couldn’t get a point to its fullest.
“So this Thiago is harassing you, and you can't tell Lucas 'cause he seems uncaring for your issues.”
“Yes !”
“Do you want me to book a plane there? I will at any moment if you need me.” Jotaro calmly replies
“No, no don’t. I’ll get over it, Just need to keep up taking my meds.”She replies in a slightly cheery tone.
“I wish I was there, or should I tell Gramps? The old man should be worth-”
“No, don’t think of it. This happened because they know I’m related to him and think I’m some pompous rich kid. And you know what, they aren’t far off, I do have the privilege that comes with having connections and my mom being a partner of the law firm but I have never acted as so. Or have I?” The once confident tone dims to a silent murmur of contemplation.
“Of course not love.” He reassures her. He wishes he could teleport to her rather than remain helpless in Zanzibar but he knows his girl can pull through and when she can’t anymore he’ll aid Thiago in finally using that dental insurance coverage.
“Anyway, what’s up with you? Where is your anchor currently stationed, Captain Kujo.” She ends with a salute
Jotaro tells her of his tales, omitting parts that may cause a heart attack and explaining the beauty of the city and the marine biologists he’s already met up with as he plans on working with them a bit for some research.
“And I hope that ring is on display y/n. Everyone must know that you are a kept woman.” He reminds her
“‘Kept?’ babe this is the 21st century, not 1AD and yes it is always around my finger.”
“Y/N DINNER!” Abdul shrieks out.
“It seems you are needed, don’t keep them waiting,” Jotaro says with a slightly disappointed face.
“They can wait, I still want to talk to you.” Y/n whines out. Right on cue, Patience shouts.
“Stop talking to your man and get here already.”
“This is the reason you sleep alone at night,” Y/n shouts back in mild frustration and Patience shrieks out
“Says the woman in a long-distance relationship. Will Jotaro cuddle you virtually? I don’t think so, I guess we are riding the same waves.”She argues back, tone increasing as she decreases the distance from the dining to y/n dimly lit bedroom.
“I think she’s actually coming to beat me up. Bye. I love you, my starfish.”
And before Jotaro replies back, mind swirling with the affectionate nickname and breath hitched, she cuts the call. And as he hears the waves crashing on the seaside, he texts back
“I love you too, my koi.”
8 May 20XX,
I resent Thiago. It’s not the not-so-subtle insults, the ignorance even in more professional settings like group meets, or even his thinly veiled sneers whenever we meet paths. No, it's just him. He reminds me a lot of my former self for some reason. At least I never stopped as low as bullying anyone but still. To see a representation of who I could have been doesn’t make me grateful that I worked so hard to rid my ego, actually, it seems the world favours such behaviours.
It may sound crazy but then why on earth is he head of marketing? Like he for sure can’t put himself in the same position as the consumer as his head is too busy stuck up his ass to care about anything other than his fade and the Brazilian football team. The point is, I worked so hard to be a better person. I moved to another freaking continent in an attempt to understand the world around me and it seems like my hard work was all for naught. Why did I spend hours in therapy if someone like him gets the easy way out? He’s well-liked, has an outstanding social dynamic, and gets to have quick lies with someone as stunning as Nalu whenever he feels like whereas I was reduced to feeling like a monster for having his traits.  It's not fair. I put in the work, I put in the hours to become a good person and yet I’m the pathetic new hire that everyone hates because I got this job through connections.
Was this all for nothing? Does it seem the world rewards bad behaviour so what benefit do I have from staying good?
Third-Person Narration.
“Y/n if you don’t bash the head of this nigga one of these fine days I’ll have to take matters into my own hands.”Patience tsks on one of those rare days when all of them are coincidentally off.
They are seated on their couch, a beautiful, rust-coloured shade with the finest of leather that spans the majority of the sitting room. The couch was a delightful find in a second-hand refurbishing furniture shop nearby. All of them are looking onto y/n as the tunes of some classic hip hop play in a low tone, and their brown shades dimly light up their sitting room creating a cosy atmosphere as dusk settles tonight.
“I’d love you to but I promised Grandpa Joseph I won’t be a bother.”Y/n moans out.
“Look babes, give him a taste of his own medicine. You genuinely can’t be allowing anyone to be talking to you like that . Personally, I’d be talking back.” Abdul says in an encouraging lilt.
“I just want a peaceful working environment. That doesn’t sound peaceful. And Dr. Hose said I should just ignore him.”Y/n countered.
“Well, Dr. Hose is not taking the insults for you. Or defending you. The man is seated making $25 an hour for telling you something soft feminine girls say on the internet regularly. When did you become such a wimp?” Patience sighs out while aggressively munching the popcorn sat on my lap.
“Stop eating that, dinner is almost here,” Abdul chides.
“I’m not a wimp, I just don’t want to undo my hard work over some man-child who could be a xenophobe.” Y/n quietly mutters.
“Therapy has made you soft. University you would have started a sumo match on the first day. Where did that fire go? You are a Goddamn lawyer l/n, the basis of our job description is to shit-talk with really good arguments!” Patience exclaims, still chomping the last of the popcorn to the point of crushing the unpopped seeds
“I know you still don’t know why I went MIA after graduation. Or why I’m taking therapy but trust me when I say that my anger issues were not just that and returning to that would be bad.”Y/n expresses in a low tone.
A chill swept by causing y/n to hug her blanket in comfort. After a near-deafening silence, Abdul then asks
“So what will you do?”
* * *
After taking her morning coffee from the break room, Y/n  heads to the conference room. Since it's her first time, she seems captivated by the mural depicting the nightlife of Sao Paulo at the back of the room  and is only brought back to the present when Melanie softly mutters to her
“Y/n let's sit, the meeting is about to begin.”
This is the first time she is introduced to the Hotel Director Fernando. He seems like a sweet pal and if it weren’t for the grey hairs you’d think he’s much younger. He and Joseph share the same vibe and y/n understands why they get along well.
The meeting went well. The monthly quota of yadda and the marketing yadda seems to be well and by the end of it all things seem to be in more order and thus everyone leaves with a smile.
“Oh, and by the way Y/n, our new data analyst has been doing such a splendid job already. A round of applause. Sorry, we didn’t meet earlier but welcome to Starfish Hotel. She did law consulting for our new branch in Kilifi, Kenya so she’s become quite experienced in the hospitality industry.” He says as they lightly clap sans Thiago, Lucas, and Nalu. Y/n lets out a tight smile. Kind of like the ones people who accidentally meet each other's eyes give.
This time though Thiago gives off a slightly shocked face.
‘Yeah, I’m experienced. Thought I was just an unsuccessful nepo baby huh.’ She thinks with a slight smirk.
“And as usual, I’d like to welcome her with a nice group dinner, so I booked a reservation at that Brazilian fusion restaurant nearby. Mandatory.” He says with a smile, punctuating his sentence with a semi-serious tone.
The room buzzes in glee. It seems like a popular restaurant and when y/n questions why Melanie responds.
“It’s not that it's posh, it's just the food is really good, and sometimes since we are  are closer to a stadium, footballers eat there after the game.” She excitedly remarks
Y/n says nothing though she thinks that it would be wonderful to eat there. If she likes it so much, she can even take Patience and Abdul there.
Aside from the meeting, the day went surprisingly well. Largely because Thiago is out and Lucas is busy but still it seems better than most. She’s introduced to one of Lucas's subordinates, Richiarldo and they get along well once they discover their love for similar Anime. Though bickering ensues on whether Jujutsu Kaisen is good or just that it was a well-written Naruto and Y/n, despite hating Gege’s sadistic ass, defends the show like she’s personally getting paid.
“Damn, no wonder you are a lawyer. I was moved enough to even read the manga.” He laughs after her last defence.
“I only got the degree so that I could properly argue out controversial anime opinions.”
“Though you do admit, the similarities are uncanny.” Richiarldo teases.
“Kind of. He definitely took the foundation of Naruto.” She admits.
Then he’s called over by Lucas who has an undefined scowl on his face and he cheerfully bids her bye, brunette ponytail swishing as he moves away from the lunchroom and encourages her to get back to work.
By the time the orange hues in the sky get significantly darker, y/n is done with her current assignment and quickly heads over to the staff parking lot where everyone is meeting to wait for Fernando. She detects mutters in Portuguese of the orders they will make and she just seems excited that she is slowly understanding the dialect.
Soon he walks out and the group of 12 heads to the restaurant. The open-planned restaurant is brightly lit and has fairy lights in every booth. Alongside those strings are threads of fake vines that lead up to the large circular bar at the centre. The ground is covered in fake grass and luckily the spot reserved sits at the perfect point to see the ocean. The large table is properly dispersed and despite y/n being able to sit beside Richiarldo and Melanie, she directly faces Thiago and Lucas. Nalu is nowhere near them and for some reason, that earned her a glare.
Dinner went smoother than expected, Y/n  had a lovely prawn cream known as Vatapa, recommended by Richiarldo. He then ordered some Pastels and Pao de queijo which we shared. His personal dish was a Feijoada, a dish his mom used to sell. They chatted the entire time and y/n felt comfortable around new people for the first time in a long time. Smiling and chatting with them in spite of the language barrier and despite the odd accent as she tried saying phrases in the dialect, they still cheered her on like a child learning to walk.
By the time nine reached, Fernando ordered beers, and y/n ordered a mocktail. And the night went on and on. Melanie just slumped out after arguing with absolutely no one. Richiarldo wants to call his girlfriend and hasn’t been off the phone since and Fernando has been even more jovial, encouraging bad behaviour by asking for even more beers.
“So y/n, how’s life as a rich kid? I haven’t seen you driving a Porsche or is that for your one-year working anniversary.” Thiago snarls with a slur. Some at the table look at her yet most seem unaware of the brewing tension between the group.Y/n stays silent, instead eating her lukewarm Canjica.
“Or will you be made a COO under some mysterious circumstances ?” He pressured on. Those who were merely eavesdropping seem to look at him questioningly, and soon the cheer and loud yapping seem to dilute to murmurings.
“Hey, shut up. Take your bitter ass elsewhere.” Richiarldo slurs out in Portuguese
“How about I punch you instead.''Thiago lunges at Richiarldo and what should have been a table-crashing, glass-shattering argument was instead a total smackdown. Thiago punched the already too-drunk Richiarldo to the floor and the entire restaurant erupts into murmurings. Soon, the group is forced out and Fernando talks to the manager wide-eyed, pleading to not get banned.
Y/n, is at her breaking point, in comparison to all the drunkards, she’s the soberest and so after  putting most of them in a safe Uber home, she’s left with Thiago, Lucas, and Nalu. Then she calls her own Uber.
“What about us?” Nalu questions.
“Thiago can manage. I mean he could beat up his own colleague. He has the strength to call for an Uber.” She calmly responds once confirming the location.
“Yeah, all you rich people are the same. Couldn’t care less for us because we aren’t worth much huh.” Thiago shouts out in an odd mix of English and Portuguese.
“Jesus Christ ENOUGH WITH ALL THIS. Why are you so bent on making my life a living hell? Ok, I got my job based on pulling a few strings and so what? Clearly, I’m good at it. I couldn’t give less of a fuck if you had to work hard. And if you haven’t already figured out that life isn’t fair, here’s a quick reminder.” She gestures dramatically at her full figure.
“Do you know that my aunt worked hard for your position? I promised her that after struggling to get her diploma in IT I’d get her a job here. To get Juliette to university at her chosen school which she couldn’t be able to get because they are poor. And then at the last minute, you waltz in and suddenly I’m told the job that I promised her is gone. And her daughter has to scrub floors and I have to watch you have the life I so desperately wanted for them.” Thiago chokes out, eyes watery. Nalu attempts to hug him and he softly shoves her away as he stands more upright.
“And, so what? You blame the burdens of life on me , someone you didn’t even care to know properly? You think I’ll feel pity for you because you had it hard? I don’t give a shit. Cry me a river for all I care and the world would remain unfair. To think, you could have told me this issue and I would have aided you but instead, it seems acting like a middle school bully was the better option. “ She punctuates the sentence with a click and a ding from her phone notifies her of her requested driver. After bidding Fernando bye and assuring him that all is well despite the outburst, she leaves, not once looking back at them.
12 May 20XX
Do I feel bad for Thiago? Kind of. My mom wasn’t born wealthy and based on what I heard from my childhood she was barely able to afford the roof over her head. I don’t remember that much because she landed a case that got her paid well and hasn’t struggled since. Typical rags to riches. But that was a one-in-a-million opportunity. Not everyone has that kind of advantage.
Guess you’ll always be a villain in someone’s story no matter how minuscule your involvement in their life may seem to you.
Third-Person Narration.
The next day was awkward, yet people politely asked if y/n was fine after the outburst. Juliette, almost teary, seemed close to bowing in apology for her cousin, and Y/n feeling more awkward than ever, bought her a juice and hotdog from the canteen and made her promise to not feel bad about the instance.
She went to Fernando’s office with a brown letter in her hand.
“Y/n, come sit down. How have you been?” He remorsefully asks.
“I’m fine. These things happen .” Y/n politely replies.
“So, what brings you here?” Fernando asks, a thick eyebrow raised.
“Here.” She says whilst sliding the letter.
Fernando reads it slowly and says softly.
“Did what Thiago say hurt you that deeply?”
“It wasn’t about being hurt. It felt like the moral thing to do. I’ll manage on my own.” She says in a monotonous tone.
After a long sigh, and a look at his window which directly oversaw the pool area and beach, now filled with cherry children and scared parents, he says.
“You’re a grown-up. Ok, I accept the resignation.”

Lost in Translation (Polnareff x Reader)
Anonymous asked: Hey! Would you mind writing a little Polnareff fic where the reader tried to learn French pick up lines to finally drop some hints, but messes up/forgets a word and gets embarrassed? 🥺
Now this is just too sweet. I changed the request up a little bit, I hope you don’t mind!! (Also if you spot any mistakes with the French, please let me know!! I’m not sure how much my high school education of French prepared me for writing Polnareff fanfiction lmao)
-----
"(Y/N), what the hell are you doing?"
You jump, tearing your eyes from the book you're scouring. You look at Joseph, who's sitting a few feet away from you on his hotel bed. He frowns. "It's three in the morning. Shouldn't you be sleeping?"
"I... Well..." You laugh nervously, attempting to discreetly slide the book under your pillow as you search for the right words. "Yeah. I probably should be."
Joseph stands up and turns on the lamp that sits between you two, and you wince when the light hits your eyes. "But seriously, what have you been doing?" he asks again as he sits back down. "I've been trying to get some sleep and all I can hear is you muttering nonstop over there."
You can feel yourself start to blush, and you fix your eyes on the fascinating corner of the door behind Joseph. "Ah... I was just reading out loud. It helps me take it in better, y'know?" It's not a very good lie, and though you're not looking at Joseph, you know he's not buying it. "Half of enjoying a good book is visualization, isn't it?" You're audibly anxious.
"Fine. But what exactly are you reading?" You start to sweat; he's ruthless in his interrogation.
"Uh, it's... I mean you're probably not interested in it." Joseph's patience suddenly runs thin, and he leaps up and snatches the book out of your hand. "What the hell?" you shout, forgetting about the thin hotel walls and attempting rather aggressively to grab the book back.
Joseph, thanks to his powerful Joestar genes, is easily able to hold you off. "Hmm, what is... English-to-French dictionary...?" He looks up at you, confused, and you freeze. He rolls his eyes. "(Y/N), I'm failing to see what's so embarrassing about this. You want to learn a new language? More power to you - " Mid-sentence, he seems to come to a revelation, and you wince. You had almost made it out alive.
"...You're learning this for Polnareff, aren't you?"
"Isn't that the million dollar question?" you mumble, gluing your eyes to the floor. "Yes."
You can hear him horribly containing his laughter. "You've - you've got dedication, I'll give you that!" Little giggles are starting to escape him, and as he suddenly begins to howl with laughter, you try again to grab the paperback out of his hands.
Without breaking a sweat, he shoves you back onto your bed and starts leafing through the book. "Oh my God," Joseph wheezes, wiping a tear away with one hand and holding the book close to his face with the other. "I mean I knew you had feelings for the guy, but I had no idea you loved him like this!" The word 'love' hits you viscerally and you cover your face with your hands, trying to push down your unbearable embarrassment. "Oh God, that's so cute."
"Shut up!" you hiss, finally managing to wrestle the book back from Joseph. "I don't have to explain myself to you," you spit with as much rudeness as you can muster.
"You don't have to explain a thing, my friend," Joseph replies without missing a beat. "I can read you like a book right now."
"Oh my God," you groan, turning away and looking down at the bed. Your face is on fire, and you gingerly set the book down next to your pillow and you fold your arms on your lap. "Just... Fine. You got me, okay?"
"I guess I did get you! I really didn't mean to." Joseph's laughter seems to have finally ended, and he watches as you shift uncomfortably under his gaze. "Sorry for laughing, (Y/N). I'm not trying to make fun of you, I promise - it's just so ridiculous that you're going to all these lengths to win Polnareff over when I'm sure it shouldn't be that difficult."
"Shouldn't be that... What do you mean?" You momentarily put aside your anger when you hear Joseph's words.
"Isn't it obvious? You two are perfect for each other. I'm positive that Polnareff shares your feelings."
"That's funny," you respond, huffing out a little laugh. "He's always flirting with girls, isn't he? I know you've seen him do it."
Joseph rolls his eyes. "Of course I have. That's just the way he is. He can be a bit...familiar with the young women he meets, but I'm fully convinced that you're the person he has his eyes on." Before you can interject with another rebuttal, Joseph speaks again. "Don't argue with me on this. I've been alive far longer than you and I've seen lots of people fall in love in this lovely world!"
You don't want to admit it, but Joseph's actually giving you some confidence here. "You, well... You might be right." Joseph grins. "I'm still gonna try to figure out some of this stupid language, though. I think he'll be happy to hear it - I mean, he's been away from home for a long time." You swing your legs up onto the bed and cross them, grabbing the book and flipping it open as you do.
Joseph marvels at the sheer concentration in your eyes as you force your way through the paperback dictionary. He can't believe how in love you are; it's honestly making him a little teary-eyed. "Well, goodnight," he says as he climbs back under the covers. "Want me to leave the light on?"
"If that's okay, yeah." Joseph nods and lays his head down on his pillow. As he shuts his eyes and drifts off to sleep, he listens to you faintly mutter to yourself, "Je t'aime. Je t'aime, je t'aime, je t'aime..."
-----
The next day comes quickly, and unfortunately you haven't really slept enough to prepare for it. You'd stayed up all night after your little encounter with Joseph, so you're left with about an hour and a half of sleep to get through the day. You and Joseph quickly get ready, and you go to meet the rest of the group in the lobby.
You yawn loudly as you step out of the elevator, and Joseph takes a second to laugh at you before following. You elbow him in the arm as you walk up to Jotaro, Avdol, Iggy, and Polnareff. Kakyoin's still resting up in the hospital; you all miss him dearly.
"Good morning!" Avdol calls, watching as you shuffle into the little group. "Did you two sleep well?"
You simply shake your head, and Joseph laughs a little at your severe expression. "(Y/N) stayed up all night reading," he explains, but after you shoot a look his way he shuts his mouth.
"Oh, really?" Polnareff asks brightly, raising his eyebrows. You look up at him and feel your heart start pounding; if he asks what you were reading you think you might drop dead on the spot. "Didn't take you for the reading type."
You nearly laugh at that, looking incredulously up at Polnareff. "What the hell does that mean - are you calling me dumb?"
"No!" he says hastily, eyes wide. "I mean - maybe." You both start laughing now, and Joseph leaves to return the hotel keys and check out. "In all seriousness," Polnareff starts with a little smile on his face, "I just didn't think you could sit still long enough to enjoy a novel. You seem like a more active person, I guess."
You honestly can't - your little French study sessions have been nothing short of torture. Still, you just shrug. "Everyone enjoys a good story, don't they?"
"Yeah." Polnareff turns to Jotaro and Avdol, who have been chatting to each other. "So, what's on the agenda today?" he asks, leaning against the wall behind him.
"Well..." Avdol thinks to himself for a moment. "We're a few hours away from Cairo. I think we should stay here for a while longer and then start heading there at around midday - so we can arrive under the cover of night."
"You're a good strategist, Avdol," you comment. "I would've just had us all drive into the city and parade around to find a hotel."
Avdol huffs out a laugh. "As much as I'd like to do that, our lives are in danger. We'll have to be really careful once we get to Cairo. I'm sure Dio has eyes everywhere."
"Yeah." You turn to Jotaro, who's been silent so far. Iggy's on the ground next to him, looking as pissed off as a dog possibly can. "How did you sleep last night?"
He just shrugs. "Same old. It was nice having the room to myself, save for this little asshole." He jabs his thumb in Iggy's direction, and you snort. "But yeah, it was fine. I just wanna get this over with. I've been..." He glances down at his shoes. "I've been thinking about my mom."
You'd almost forgotten about the original reason Joseph and his grandson set out on this mission. You had heard from the Foundation a few days ago that Holly Kujo's condition was only worsening. "You're gonna see her soon, huh? When we get to Cairo we'll practically be in Dio's backyard."
Jotaro nods. "Yep. Can't wait to beat the shit out of him."
You grin and nod vigorously. "I'm with you there."
Joseph returns to your little group, and the five of you all huddle together. "So," he starts, taking a deep breath. "Are you thinking we should wait, Avdol?"
"Yes. I was just saying that we should give it a few hours before we get on the road."
Joseph seems satisfied with that answer. "Perfect. So until then... I guess we can do a bit of sightseeing! We should pair up and try to stay at least a little close by. I'll stick with Avdol, and Jotaro - would you mind going with Iggy? If anything happens, both of your stands would be more than capable of taking care of things." Jotaro rolls his eyes and hums in agreement. "Okay. That leaves you two."
The sheer glee in Joseph's shit-eating grin as he looks at you and Polnareff honestly astounds you. Polnareff doesn't seem to notice, and he looks down at you. "Well this'll be fun! I haven't gotten to spend much time with you in the past couple days, (Y/N)." There's a pure affection in Polnareff's voice as he speaks to you, and you feel yourself fall even deeper in love. "We'll see you guys here in three hours, alright?" Joseph nods, waving goodbye with a sickly sweet smile, and Polnareff takes your hand and drags you through the revolving door.
The sun feels great on your skin. You follow Polnareff out, looking at your hand clasped in his as he leads you down the street a ways. He makes you feel so, so happy, and you're overcome by the desire to tell him that. "Where are you going?" you call, laughing a little when you realize you've been following him without having a clue where he's taking you.
He halts suddenly, and you run right into his back. "Oh, shit! Sorry." He spins around and rights you, peering down at your face. "That didn't hurt, did it?"
"N-no." You wince and feel your nose, which had rammed right into one of his shoulder blades. "I'm all good." After a thumbs-up for confirmation, Polnareff is satisfied. "So we're here?"
"Yep!" Polnareff gestures to the shop you're standing in front of. It's a café by the looks of it, and it seems pretty nice. "We passed it while we were driving in yesterday."
"Oh, cool!" Polnareff heads inside and you follow him. At the counter, Polnareff orders a couple pastries and two espressos for both of you. Once he gets his order, he hands you your espresso and walks out the door. He's really intent on getting the most out of these few hours of respite, it seems.
"Now that we have some food," he says, gesturing to the little bag of desserts, "we can have a picnic!" He starts walking briskly down the street, and you nearly have to jog to keep up with him.
"Did you spot this on the way in too?" you ask. He nods. "Damn, I missed so much. I was sleeping." He laughs, and you join in. After a few more minutes, you reach your destination.
It's a little park that overlooks a small, tranquil pond. "Oh, this is neat!" you say. "It's really pretty."
"Yeah." You look up at Polnareff as he gazes out at the scenery. You haven't seen him this relaxed in a long time; he's usually being pestered by Iggy or attacked by some enemy stand user. You're really grateful that you get to share a calm, sweet moment with him before you have to head out to battle in Cairo.
You decide to take a seat on the grass a few feet away from the pond. Polnareff sits down beside you and carefully sets his espresso down on the grass, making sure it doesn't spill, and you do the same. You cross your legs as Polnareff reaches into the bag and pulls out a pastry.
"For you," he says, bowing his head as he hands you a croissant.
You laugh as you take it from him. "I'm honored," you reply, dipping your head in mock gratitude to Polnareff. He smirks a little and takes out a croissant for himself, leaning back and taking a big bite. You try yours, and it tastes amazing. "You're got a good eye," you tell Polnareff, your voice a little muffled as you eat. "This is really good."
"Well it's only natural that I would have an eye for cuisine," he replies with a smug grin. You reach over and slug him in the arm, and he lets out a startled laugh when you hit him. "Hey! It's true." You sigh and turn towards the pond, watching the little ripples in the water as the breeze gently brushes over it. Polnareff's still laughing a little beside you, and the whole scene suddenly feels completely and utterly romantic. You realize with a start that this is the perfect moment to try out your newly acquired language skills!
You pick up your espresso and take a sip; it's just as good as the food had been. Tentatively, you look over at Polnareff and find him staring out at the pond. "C'est un bon café," you say as nonchalantly as you can.
Polnareff nods and smiles faintly. "Oui, je suis d'accord," he replies, but the second the words leave his mouth he whips his head around, staring at you with wide eyes. "What did - did you just - was that French?" he sputters, starting to grin like an idiot.
You return the smile, nodding. "Oui. I'm glad you could understand me."
"Glad I could - God, (Y/N), you're so - " Polnareff suddenly reaches out and wraps you in a huge hug, knocking the wind from you as he practically pulls you into his lap.
"H-hey!" you yelp, laughing loudly as he rests his chin on your shoulder. He sighs, placing his hand at the base of your neck, and you feel a shiver run through you. After a moment, he pulls away and beams at you.
"I didn't know you knew French!" he says brightly; he looks ecstatic. "Why didn't you tell me?"
"I didn't know it until a few days ago," you tell him with a little smile. "I've been picking it up little by little. I still barely know anything."
"You've been...learning it?" he asks softly, raising his eyebrows.
"Yeah! I found a little dictionary at a shop about a week ago, and that's actually what I stayed up all last night reading. Can't say that I'm grasping it very well, but I'm giving it a shot just for you!" The smile drops from your face a bit when you notice that Polnareff's expression has grown somber.
"(Y/N)..." Your eyes widen when you notice tears welling up in Polnareff's eyes. "You've been such a good friend to me. You're always there to make me smile, and well, you've saved my life a few times too. But this, I - you don't know what it means to me."
You reach out and take his hands in yours, a little clumsily. "You're the one who makes me smile. You're my best friend." You're suddenly made acutely aware of the butterflies in your stomach, and you suck in a deep breath. It feels like it's now or never. "Polnareff, there's something I want to tell you." He blinks the tears from his eyes, and you hold his hands a little tighter. "I really - "
Before you can finish, you're punched in the jaw by an impossibly powerful fist. You fly back, landing hard in the grass a few feet away. As you stumble to your feet, swearing and clutching your face, you summon your stand. It fucking figures there's a stand user here. Sometimes you wonder if you're some sort of stand magnet.
Polnareff frantically pulls himself up and dashes over to you. "(Y/N)!" he shouts, holding you by the shoulders and looking at your jaw. "Shit, are you alright?!"
You wince when Polnareff ghosts his fingers over the spot. "Probably not," you mutter, breathing in sharply through your nose. Polnareff freezes, and you shrug his other hand off of you. "We've gotta beat this guy, okay?"
"Y-yeah." Polnareff summons Silver Chariot and stands against your back, scanning the area for the stand or its user. You do the same, trying to push the pain out of your mind. "There!" Polnareff suddenly shouts, and you twist your head around.
It's a man; he's standing on the other side of the pond. He stalks up to the two of you, and as he walks, his stand slowly materializes behind him. It's extremely threatening, with a build that could rival Star Platinum and deep-set, bright red eyes. You force yourself to approach him and Polnareff follows you. Your stand is an archer, suited for long-range battle, and Polnareff's works better at a closer range, so you're usually able to cover each other's blind spots. Your stand pulls out an arrow and nocks it, aiming for the head of your enemy. "(Y/N), right?" he calls, a lax smirk on his face. "And Jean Pierre Polnareff." He and his stand take another step forward, and you tense. Polnareff's Silver Chariot is ready to strike at any moment. "Easy, easy!" he says, raising his hands on either side of his head. "I'm a fair man. Allow me to explain my stand to you."
You glance at Polnareff, and after a moment of hesitation he nods his head. Your stand lowers its bow while Silver Chariot points its rapier to the ground. The man slowly and surely approaches the two of you, and his stand waits beside him. "Thank you. Truce for now?" You grit your teeth and will yourself to nod. "I'm glad. Well, my stand is the Seven of Swords. Essentially, it's extremely powerful. I doubt you'll be able to get a single hit in, if I'm being honest." You can feel rage bubbling up inside you, and as hard as you try to fight it, you just can't kick the feeling. Your gaze flits to Polnareff; he looks just as angry as you.
Grimacing, you look back to the user. "My stand specializes in strength. Every punch it deals leaves a lasting effect - as I'm sure you've noticed, (Y/N)."
You want to scream. The smug look he's wearing and the searing pain in your face is all too much, and before he can continue, you have your stand quickly nock an arrow and fire. You hit him in his right shoulder - he had punched you with that arm - and he falls back, grasping at the wound. "Shit!" he shouts, leaning against his giant stand. With its left arm, Seven of Swords reaches out and yanks the arrow from its user's body.
You start to grin; it looks like you've knocked this guy down a notch. However, just when Polnareff moves to strike and you ready another arrow, he and his stand vanish. "What the hell?" Polnareff mutters, scanning the area. "Where could they have - "
"(Y/N), I'm disappointed!" You scream when the stand wraps its left arm around your neck, squeezing painfully but just lightly enough to let you remain conscious. The man leans in far too close and speaks. "You broke our truce. I suppose I can't be too angry... I wasn't exactly being completely truthful either." The stand's grip on you tightens, and you choke out a cough. Polnareff goes to slice through the arm around your neck, but before you even know what's happened, you're on the other side of the pond. Polnareff, now a great distance away, gapes at you before running over as quickly as he can.
"My Seven of Swords is a master of teleportation," the man announces. "Everything else is just a plus." His stand abruptly releases you, and as you gasp for air, the man grins. "I'm surprised by how easy it was to take care of you, (Y/N). Lord Dio had made you sound a lot tougher." You try to swear at him, but your voice is hoarse and barely understandable.
"(Y/N)!" You turn your head when Polnareff cries your name, and suddenly you're punched hard in the abdomen. You're knocked to the ground and your head smacks into the dirt, and the last thing you see before you lose consciousness is Polnareff's face, equal parts anguished and enraged.
-----
The first thing you note when you fade back into consciousness is a strong pain in your midsection. You groan, forcing your eyes open; looks like you were rescued. You're in your hotel room, and it seems like you're alone. You glance over at the window, gritting your teeth as you shift your aching neck, and you nearly laugh out loud when you see that stupid little dictionary sitting on your bed.
You hear the door open, and you turn to find Polnareff stepping through the doorway. "Hey," you say, your voice quieter than you'd intended.
He looks down at the sound of your voice and grins. "Glad to have you back," he replies softly. "I'm so relieved that you're alright." He carefully sits down beside you on the bed.
"Of course I'm alright." You crack a smile. "I wasn't gonna let that asshole kill me."
Polnareff laughs a little and nods. "Yeah, he was a real piece of shit. After he - after he knocked you out, I held him off for a little while until reinforcements arrived in the forms of Star Platinum and The Fool. The three of us had him crying like a baby."
"Thank God," you sigh. "He deserved it." You both fall into a little silence, neither of you quite sure of what to say. You remember exactly what you had been about to tell Polnareff when you were attacked, but you can't muster up the courage to try again now. "Even if it got fucked up at the end, thank you for the lovely afternoon," you finally say. "I really enjoyed our little picnic."
"So did I." Polnareff starts to speak more, but something catches his eye. You watch as he reaches over you and grabs something; it's the French dictionary. He peers down at it and starts flipping through the pages. Almost instantly he looks completely affronted, and you feel a laugh rise in your chest.
"What is it?" you ask him as he scoffs, shutting the book definitively and setting it back down.
"They made that thing so difficult to understand! It's so much simpler than that makes it out to be, really!" He shakes his head, clearly disappointed with the publication, and you let a little laughter escape. "How about this." He leans in towards you. "Instead of learning out of that stupid book, I can teach you! It'll be a lot more fun."
He's just so...charming. He's always so sincere, especially with you, and the pure kindness in his eyes as he speaks nearly takes your breath away. "That - that would be fun," you reply, too taken with him to think of anything else to say.
He grins. "Good. We can have your first lesson right now."
You laugh at that, making Polnareff jump a bit. "Already? What, am I gonna get homework too?"
He joins in on your laughter and shakes his head. "No, no, it'll be quick." Something in his expression softens, and you blink as he reaches out and places his hand gently over yours. He suddenly looks a lot more serious. "Tell me what I'm saying. Je suis amoureux de toi."
You open your mouth, softly whispering the words. Your mind's nearly a total blank; it seems you really didn't learn much from that dictionary. You're at least determined to get the beginning. "Ah... Je is 'I', so je suis would be 'I am',  right?"
Polnareff nods. He wraps his hand around yours and holds it, just as he had earlier today. "Yes. Je is 'I', suis is 'am'..." He lifts his other hand and entwines it with yours. You're not sure what he's saying but you allow yourself to hope, just a little.
Polnareff's voice is hardly above a whisper as he says, "Je suis amoureux de toi - I'm in love with you."
A huge smile breaks across your face and you feel like you're floating. When Polnareff sees your reaction, his smile widens as well, and he leans down and wraps you up in a careful hug. "I love you too," you murmur in his ear; you think you might burst into tears if you try to speak any louder. "I have for a while now. I'm so happy you - " Despite your best efforts, you feel yourself start to cry. Polnareff leans back a bit, and you're almost amused to see that he's crying too. You probably look like a couple of lovesick fools, and you're so, so, happy.
"I'll never be able to show you how much you mean to me, (Y/N)," Polnareff murmurs before pressing a tender kiss to your cheek. "How much it means to me that you care."
"Of course I care," you whisper back, reaching up and running your fingers through his hair. "I care because you mean the world to me."
Polnareff looks down into your eyes, and you both take in each other's expressions. "You know, I think we're perfect for each other," he breathes, and as you start to agree, he moves forward and captures your lips in a kiss.
Nothing has ever felt more right than Polnareff's lips on yours. You wrap your arms around his back, pulling him as close as you possibly can. He parts from you for just a moment to help you sit up a bit, so that he doesn't cause the injury to your midsection any pain. You wince when a particularly sharp pang of pain hits you, and Polnareff softly runs his hand over your hair. After a moment, the feeling dissipates, and you kiss him again.
"Je t'aime," you breathe against his lips, and he smiles. You gently kiss the corner of his mouth and then rest your head on his shoulder. As he presses a kiss to the crown of your head, you whisper, "Je t'aime, je t'aime, je t'aime..."
-----
It's pitch black out as Joseph drives the group's large car down the winding roads to Cairo, with only the faint radio and Avdol's occasional snores to keep him company. He isn't exactly happy about driving in these conditions, but you had needed a few extra hours of bedrest before you could start this little road trip. Every once in a while, he glances at the back seat, and he finds you, Jotaro, and Polnareff all fast asleep.
After a couple hours of driving, Joseph hears someone stir behind him. He glances up at the rearview mirror and watches as Polnareff rubs his eyes and groggily looks to his left. You're sleeping against him, with your head on his shoulder and one arm loosely wrapped around his midsection. Polnareff's mouth turns up in a little smile, and he carefully wraps his arm around your shoulder.
"So I see everything worked out for (Y/N)," Joseph comments. Polnareff looks up at him, surprised and a little embarrassed to find he was being watched, and Joseph just laughs shortly. "I've always known you two were going to end up together. You really are a perfect fit."
Polnareff's face goes red and he looks back at you. "...Yeah. I'm really lucky."
"Oh, I know!" Joseph laughs again, startling Polnareff. "You should've seen (Y/N) last night, pouring over the French language like their life depended on it. They wanted so badly to make you happy after this hell we've been through."
Polnareff almost feels like crying again. He can't believe how truly lucky he is to have found you. "Still," Joseph says, "it's not quite over yet." Polnareff watches Joseph's expression turn somber through the rear-view mirror. "We've still got to kill Dio."
"Yeah." As he gazes down at you, so peaceful in sleep, he feels a fire light in his mind. He'd do anything to keep you alive, and while killing Dio will surely be extremely difficult, he knows he's going to do it - for Joseph, for Jotaro, for Holly Kujo, and for you. "We'll do it. We'll kill him and we'll all be fine."
"You're quite the optimist," Joseph mutters, sighing. "I try to be as well, but I'm worried that our luck so far will finally catch up to us in this final battle."
Polnareff isn't quite sure what to say, but now there's no doubt in his mind that they'll succeed in the fight against Dio. He just sighs, careful not to disturb you, and rests his head against the car window. "Do you want me to stay awake with you?" he asks Joseph.
"No, I'm fine. We'll be there pretty soon." Polnareff nods and shuts his eyes, and Joseph quickly turns his eyes back to the road.
As Polnareff begins to doze off, he gently clasps your hand in his. He hasn't had a home for a long time; ever since he lost his sister, he hasn't known that feeling of having somewhere - or someone - you truly belong with. Now, next to you, he dares to hope he's feeling it again. He's always loved you, he's realizing - you've always made him feel this way, whenever you joked around together or fought side-by-side in battle. Knowing that you feel the same was the best thing that's ever happened to him.
Just before he falls asleep, he whispers a gentle, "I love you." He holds your hand a little tighter and finally drifts off.
Joseph casts one final glance at the two of you in the back seat. Unlike Polnareff, he's a little more worried about the potential outcome of the face-off with Dio. Maybe, though, just maybe - the endless love you two possess for one another will be what wins the fight.

Stardust crusaders opinion on OC and her Stand
Tumblr media
Name: Charlotte Kent
Summary: kind and loyal to a fault. She is determined towards her goals to get her sister and other women from Dio. Also, a nurse primarily, though her whole family works with the Speedwagon Foundation. Goes to Egypt to find her sister and bring her home as her sister Clarissa is a double agent for Dio and the Speedwagon Foundation. So a good guy helping out Joestar and co.
Charlotte can be too headstrong but has a caring nature due to being a nurse and believes in the motto of helping people no matter what and never needing a reason why. Isn't averse with crossing Dio to save her sister and others.
Stand: Hope Diamond, which can nullify all Stand abilities at command though the radius is quite limited.
Can also transform into inorganic objects and take on the properties of said items.
* Also to mention that she knows Kakyoin from treating his eyes in the hospital when the speedwagon foundation took over.
* Also, add in having a crush on one of the crusaders (kakyoin) after taking care of him in the hospital if that's alright! You're awesome! Maybe liking her back? Maybe do that instead? Or add onto it?
————————————————————
Woah...... this is great!
Tumblr media
JOTARO KUJO
Jotaro likes her (platonically)
He respects her determination to save a loved one from Dio and work with them while also thinks that her stand in really useful.
Her motto isn’t something he follows by himself while he might say “if she doesn’t annoy me she is ok”.
Those two might get into some fights due to both of them being so strong willed.
He also has some respect towards her because she helped kakyoin.
KAKYOIN NORIAKI
He obviously is glad to have met her.
He is thankful about the care she gave him when he didn’t have his eyesight.
He really respects that she is there to save and take home her sister while she wants to free all the women from Dios hold.
Kakyoin really likes her stand and its abilities! He looks up to her motto and finds her very brave!
Overall, he is into her character. Either as a great friend or as a crush (she is his type, nurturing and brave) I think he likes her too...
JEAN PIERRE POLNAREFF
Polnareff really respects that she wants to take her sister back home from Dio, although his sister didn’t survive he would have done the same.
Her nature is nice for him to have around and likes her motto a lot although sometimes he can do some really bad unnecessary stuff to the people he fights.
Don’t expect him to not try flirting with her. HE WILL. But he will back of seeing how she blushes when talking to Kak.
When Polnareff is bored (95% of the time) he will ask her to turn into different objects just because he thinks it’s really cool.
A secret hitman for her and Kakyoin.
AVDOL MUHAMMAD
It’s clear that he finds qualities into everyone and she is no exception. He respects her brave but caring nature a lot.
Her goal is something important to her and he thinks she is a really devoted character.
He can’t help but be fancinated by her stand and its abilities like he is with the rest of the crusaders.
Avdol also thanks her for taking good care of Kakyoin in the hospital and is always glad for another ally.
JOSEPH JOESTAR
He is the one to know her before hand since he is working with the speedwagon foundation.
He is really happy and thankful she helped Kakyoin while he already ships them before hand.
Her goal is something he really respects and wants to make sure she completes.
While he also in really surprised by her stands ability and he thinks she could be a great fighter, teammember and ally.
He thinks her motto, kindness and nurturing nature is really kind of her.
She is brave to go through all that with them so he appreciates that as well.
Sorry if this is sort! Thank you for the submission!

Important News (Jotaro x Reader)
Tumblr media
Masterlist
Small Summary: You go to to visit Jotaro since you have some improtant news to share with me and it couldn't wait until he got back (Can't say more cause I don't want to spoil what I wrote lol)
Small mentions: SPOILERS, f!reader, suggestive kisses
Tumblr media
"Remind me again why you decided to come here. Don't get me wrong I am excited to see you.. but I was gonna be back home in a few days. And where's Jolyne?" Jotaro asked as I stood at the entrance of his hotel room, "Honey, did you think I would miss the chance of meeting more of your family members? Plus I missed you... you've been gone for three months. I was starting to worry. She's with your mom, Jolyne's on summer vacation so we came here to visit."
Jotaro picked up my belongings and brought them inside. He let out a sigh as he placed them down, "We've talked on the phone countless times Y/n. You didn't need to come all the way here just to visit me." I frowned at him. Was he happy to see me or not? I looked down at my hands not sure what to say to him.
"Hey..." I looked up at Jotaro, his expression soften he walked closer and wrapped his arms around me. "I'm really happy to see you Y/n. It's just a bit of bad timing." He pulled away removed his hat and sat down on a couch I followed and sat next to him. "There's a serial Killer on the loose in Morioh who's a stand user. I didn't tell you over the phone cause I didn't want you to worry about it...but, now that you're here I need to stay by my side and not go off on your own. His main target is women, but he's also attacking anyone that's in connection with me or Josuke." I wasn't sure what to say, Jotaro had a habit of hiding important information to not worry me, but I wish he could have told me something, "I know it's a lot to take in."
"Jotaro, I just wanted to visit you and I had some important news that I wanted to tell you in person. I wish you could have told me something over the phone." I looked at him, "And what did you want to say?" Our eyes met, I quickly looked away from his and looked at my hands, "Well, it was supposed to be said over a dinner with you." He chuckled slightly, "Alright, since you're here we can have dinner tonight and you can tell me the news. You've spoken to Josuke over the phone before so it would be nice to meet him in person. Is it okay if I invite him?" I nodded, he put his hat back on and walked over to the landline phone, "I'll call him and let him know you're here. We can all go out for dinner tonight and you can tell us the news."
After he called Josuke Jotaro helped me unpack my belongings, "I..." He spoke breaking the silence, "I missed you Y/n. I'm glad that you're here with me. I'm sorry if it seemed like I wasn't happy to see you." I carefully got off the ground and walked towards him he was sitting on the bed, and I stood in front of him.
He placed his hands on my hips pulling me closer to him. I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him. I missed his touch so much, even his kisses. His kiss was soft so as to not break me. He let out a growl while the kiss started to deepen. His hands were now making their way up my body, "Jo-Jotaro..." I gasped as his kiss traveled down my neck...
*RING* RING*
The landline started ringing, making us both jump from the sudden ring of the phone. Jotaro cleared his throat and walked over to the phone picking it up, "Yes, this is Kujo," I took a glance at him; his face was red he was blushing a lot. I went to the bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror, I haven't blushed this hard since our first kiss and wedding day.
There was a knock on the door, "Josuke called he made reservations at a restaurant named Trattoria Trussardi. The owner is a stand user but he uses his stand for good." I walked out meeting face-to-face with Jotaro again, and he tipped down his hat. "We should get going then." I grabbed my purse and we headed out of the hotel and to the restaurant.
The car ride was silent I didn't know what to talk about and I'm sure Jotaro didn't know either. Once we arrived we were greeted by what I thought to be Josuke and his friends. Jotaro parked the car got out and opened the door for me, "Josuke is the one with the weird-looking hair. Don't comment on his hair or else he goes into a blind rage." Jotaro whispered as we got closer to the group of high school students.
"So you're Mrs. Y/n Kujo, it's nice to finally meet you." Josuke greeted me and so did his friends, "Likewise. I've heard a lot about you boys from Jotaro. I like your hair Josuke it suits you." I did genuinely like his hair the style was unique, "Oh... um, thanks. We should head inside and eat. The food here is amazing."
During dinner I got to know more about Josuke and his friends, "So you fought alongside Mr. Joestar and Jotaro-san in Egypt!? Wow, that's amazing." I chuckled at Koichi's excitement. Did Jotaro tell them about our trip to Egypt? I'm a bit surprised that he shared that with others. "How long will you be staying here?" Okuyasu asked, I looked at Jotaro he side glanced at me, "A few weeks or days, I'm not quite sure."
After dinner, we said goodbye to the group and headed back to the hotel. Once we entered the hotel room I got in the shower and washed my hair. When I was done Jotaro got in and also washed his hair. He got out of the shower drying his wet hair his a towel, he looked at me and I singled him over. Jotaro sat down on the floor in front of me and I began drying his hair with the hair dryer, "So you never told me what the important news was about."
"I didn't think there would be so many people coming, but now that it's just us, I can tell you." I turned off the dryer, "Well...I-uh." He got off the ground and sat down next to wrapping an arm around me and pulling me closer. I had a lump in my throat why am I so nervous? "I-..."
"I'm pregnant."
I looked at him, he was smiling. "Y/n are you serious?" I nodded, he stood up picking me up, and spun me around, "This great Y/N!" I'm pregnant with my second child, Holly was the first to know and then Suzi Q. I told them not to tell Jotaro until I was able to visit him and tell him myself. "Our second child together." He placed me down and kissed me, "Does anyone else know?"
"Your mom and Suzi Q. Your mom knew as soon as I walked through the door." He chuckled, "I see." He sighed and kissed my cheek. "I'm glad you came here to tell me in person. I really needed to hear some good news." He kissed me, "I love you, Y/n."
"I love you too, Jotaro."

Silent Saviors: 4taro x Fem Reader
Finally... FINALLY IT IS DONE! This is infernal ask that has been in my inbox for so long!!! Thank you to @stardustbrosaders for the request all those months ago lol. This was the request: “Heya! Would it be possible to write a P4! Jotaro x Female! Reader where the reader gets her stand under stress from a battle? The group almost gets defeated but the reader’s stand appears and she beats the enemy, saving everyone? For the readers stand type could it be close range like SP and CD?”
I also drew the reader’s stand for this fic. You can find a link to the stand info here.
This is a long ass fic btw. It’s literally 11 THOUSAND WORDS. I don’t know what compelled me to make the fic this long. I really don’t. But I did and here we are. I hope you like it, no matter how long it is!
Quick content warnings: General violence and angst, strangulation, murder (duh)
Without further ado: Silent Saviors: 4taro x Fem Reader (11k words)
A dark force was afoot in the town of Morioh once more, but it had just been a long day, and no progress had been made to capture that force. The team’s morale was low. The exhausted high school students stumbled home to catch a good night’s rest, thoughts of ongoing danger in their small town looming over their heads. The young manga artist Rohan Kishibe grumbled to himself about his failures, wondering how a genius like him could not decipher this mystery like he had last time. You felt a heavy air of unrest lay over the town as you awkwardly shifted in your seat on the ride to the Grand Hotel, looking over at your travel mate as he silently ran over the facts in his head. He shook his head in frustration. None of this made any sense. All the victims had been killed in the same way, so it must be a stand, one that didn’t leave behind any evidence, one potentially even more dangerous than Kira.
A dark force was afoot in the town of Morioh once more, but you didn’t know anything about the first monstrous event that had occurred. The small town’s silent saviors all agreed with one another to seal their lips and tell no one what had really happened. Not that anyone would have believed them.
But you would have. Your travel partner didn’t know anything yet, but the more time you two spent in this strange town, the crazier you felt you were becoming. You were seeing objects levitate in the air, you were seeing arms stick out from these bizarre teenagers. At this point, you’d believe anything just to make it all stop. You stumbled inside from the taxi, convinced this small town was driving you insane.
Your partner turned to you in front of your hotel room, his own room right next door, and placed his large hands on your shoulders.
“Are you alright (y/n)? If any of this investigation gets to be too much for you, just tell me and I’ll send you on the next flight back home.”
You snort tiredly. “Too much for me? Jotaro you look exhausted… You haven’t been taking breaks from the case at all…  You’re always so anxious. Do you promise you’ll actually go to bed this time?”
Jotaro looked down at you and moved his hands from you, sighing heavily. “Yeah… I promise…”
You give him a shy smile before shrugging. “Besides… you need me, don’t you? Weren’t you the one that said I’m the only one that calms you down?”
Jotaro gulped and broke eye contact with you, his own silent way of admitting that you were right. You chuckled and opened the door to your hotel room, giving him one last look and goodnight before you left to go to bed. You would wake up about two hours later from the sound of your partner’s shuffling about in his room next door. You slipped on a thick crew neck over your thin tank top and shorts and open to the door connecting to the two rooms.
You peaked your head past the door to find a familiar sight before you. Pictures were tacked onto a corkscrew board, red thread connecting the dots to draw the group one step closer to solving the crimes. Files were splayed out over the desk, a map of the small Japanese town resting on the nearby bed, etched with red Xs displaying the sites where several young men and women met their demise. Amongst the mess, you found the broad shoulders of a tired Jotaro Kujo hunched over the desk, the young man still looking at the mountains of documents, eager to find the path to justice. It was hidden in those pages, he was sure of it. It had been your third night together in that hotel, and it was evident that you two would be there for much longer.
---
“Miss (L/N) it says here that you have received your degree in zoology and graduated at the top of your major.”
“Yes, sir.”
“And it says here that you recently led an academic study of marine biology that went very well back home.”
“Yes sir, and it would be an honor to join this esteemed team of scientists here at SPW.”
It was the year 1998, and you were interviewing to work at the Speedwagon Foundation. You had graduated atop your class, and had a passion for your work that few possessed, as well success that few could show for. You prayed that this interview was going well. The Foundation was the utmost important center of scientific research in the world and you didn’t want to waste an opportunity to work there. You watched the smile on your interviewer’s face as he reviewed your credentials before setting the paper down.
“Miss (L/N) I’d like to welcome you aboard our team. I believe you will contribute much to our efforts.”
Your face lit up in excitement and you rushed to shake his hand. “Thank you so much sir, I won’t let you down! If I could ask what position you’re hiring me for?”
“You see we have an opening for an assistant with the Kujo lab. Since you’re just starting off here- you’ll be assisting him in meetings and in bench work-”
“Excuse me... the Kujo lab? As in Jotaro Kujo? Isn’t he my age?” You interrupt nervously.
“Why yes miss… is there an issue?”
“Well no sir it’s just… I thought perhaps I’d be working under an esteemed professor… I didn’t think someone fresh out of grad school would already have a lab to himself… Not to sound ungrateful of course, I just didn’t realize I would be working under one of my contemporaries…”
A sigh came to the man and leaned back in his chair, thinking about how to explain the situation.
“Miss (y/n), the reason I’m placing you in Kujo’s lab is that I feel the two of you would work well together, given your similar backgrounds and parallel personalities…” You furrow your brow, unsure what the supervisor meant until you were face to face with Jotaro Kujo himself a few days later.
You still remembered the day well. You hung your coat up on a nearby hook and looked about the lab. Documents were piled over every available surface with no particular organization. A large fish tank stood in the far corner, a wild variety of fish encased within. Anatomical posters of aquatic life were all over the walls, and right by the window sat Jotaro. He hadn’t looked up when you came in. Approaching his desk, you stared down at the mass of black hair on the top of his head. Soon clearing your throat, the young doctoral student’s head shot up to look at you blankly. You opened your mouth to speak, taken aback by his unemotional expression, nervously turning to a notebook you had on hand.
“Uh… um… My name is (y/n) (l/n), your new coworker. I would like to thank you for allowing me into your lab. I had been going over your most recent papers on the social patterns of starfish on the eastern-most coast of Japan and I was just wondering if-”
“I’m sorry, who are you?”
You looked up from your notes and into the young man’s deep blue eyes, your breath catching in your throat. You struggled to form a sentence under the intense gaze, your breath shuttering out from your lips, and you looked back down at your notes.
“I’m (y/n) (l/n)... your new coworker.”
Jotaro nodded slowly, considering what you had just said. You watched as he removed his large white overcoat and leaned back in his chair, donned in a fitted black t-shirt.
“Why did they hire you?” You lean forward confused, your ear facing him.
“I’m sorry?”
“Why did they hire you?”
You look away for a moment, considering his now nervous expression, his nervous tick of chewing on his lip, his small twitches of the eye, his clenching and unclenching of his jaw. You looked down, finding his leg bouncing anxiously against the floor. A small, sweet smile came to you, and you opened your mouth to speak, alerting his attention.
“You and I apparently have parallel personalities… according to them.”
You watched as Jotaro’s lips curved into a shy smile and he got up from his seat, grabbing a notepad from a nearby drawer. He then turned to you and extended his arm out, pointing. You followed the direction of his hand and saw a separate desk facing his at the other end of the office. You turned back and quickly nodded, rushing to set your things down and then turning to face him once more.
Jotaro nodded courteously at you. “Have you read my most recent work?”
“Yes, I just told you that I did that-”
“Good. Come to the meeting with me then.”
You followed after him into a nearby boardroom, unsure of the situation about to befall you. The meeting began. Executives discussed their most recent funding prospects, deciding whether or not to continue their spending, depending on how successful the trials had been. You sat patiently in your chair, listening to the others argue frankly amongst themselves. A steady, fast tapping upon the table commanded your attention and you turned over to see Jotaro staring off into the distance, his fingers rapidly tapping on the desk, his whole form shaking with sensory overload.
“Mr. Kujo? And you?” You watched as Jotaro’s head shot up and he looked around the room. He hadn’t been listening, his mind had been too overcome with anxieties.
“I um… I uh… W-what were-”
You watched nervously as this man came undone at his seams. You cleared your throat and tapped the table next to his notepad. Getting the message, Jotaro grabbed the notepad quickly and anxiously flipped through its pages.
“Um… sorry about that. I would like to further my research- wait no this is on the wrong page. Wait no it’s not… wait-”
You looked around as the listeners began to get frustrated, looking at each other in jest of one of their top researchers. You chewed nervously on your finger, hoping Jotaro would pull himself together. It was your first day working with him, and it was already troublesome.
“I would like to further the research done in my penultimate paper. Or was it my most recent...”
“Mr. Kujo, we would have liked for you to have prepared for this meeting…”
“No no… I did. I did. Wait-”
With a quick motion, you reached over and placed a hand on Jotaro’s shoulder, calmly taking the notepad from him and then turning to the group. Jotaro looked away, still visibly shaken.
“Mr. Kujo clearly states in his most recent paper that he plans to continue his research, at a different coastal region, comparing more behaviors there to make sure that this past successful trial wasn’t any sort of spontaneous fluke. He writes in his goals of perhaps inspecting the regional colonies of starfish around S-Town… Following that, he plans to remain in contact with the genomic department and track genetic similarities between human and aquatic life that may explain the similar social patterns between the two.”
You explain to them all, having memorized the paper. Turning to the notepad, you saw what Jotaro had written in preparation for the meeting. You then turned back to the investors.
“Mr. Kujo kindly asks that you aid him in his funding so that mankind as a whole may find a better understanding of the natural world… That’s all he wanted to say. He just couldn’t find the right page. Sir.”
You reached back and placed the notepad back near Jotaro’s shaking hand. You returned your hand back to the other’s shoulder, squeezing gently to reassure the scientist that he was alright. The young man turned to you in a bit of surprise, not expecting your presence to calm him oh so much. The executives all took in your words and the head of the meeting slowly nodded.
“Well… thank you for your assistance, miss…?”
“(l/n).”
“Right well thank you… We will consider Mr. Kujo’s work for a second trial.”
“Thank you. He appreciates it.” With that, you let go of Jotaro’s shoulder.
The meeting soon adjourned, You got up to leave your seat when you felt Jotaro’s hand grab your shoulder. You turned around to see him slowly stand up from his chair.
“Thank you. I’m not a big fan of speaking to them…”
You nodded quickly. “Yes…  of course…”
From that day on, the two of you were inseparable. Having experienced the horrific acts done to him and to those he loved back in his teenage years, Jotaro was convinced that you were the only one who could calm his constant nerves and anxieties. You became his most powerful tool against the outside world. You understood his work perfectly, understood his mannerisms perfectly, and respected his need for silence in the office. You knew how to say things the way he would himself, and you had no fear discussing them to other people. The two of you became much closer over the months of your working. Jotaro became much less of an enigma in your eyes. It would be a few months until Jotaro would unwillingly reveal his more “secret” projects.
The first time you saw the arrow, Jotaro did not want you to see it. But still, what happened that day would forever change your relationship with the young scientist. You had arrived early, hoping to surprise him with a hot breakfast and a smile. You turn the corner to walk into the lab, yet when you go to open the door, you find it locked. Strange. Looking inside the room, you find Jotaro hunched over his desk in focus, in the same clothes as the day before, having not yet unlocked the door. Even more strange. You knocked on the door, only for him to leave the room with another door in a hurry, ignoring your pleas. With a grumble, you dug for your keys, figuring his weird behavior was just fatigue, and that he probably slept over at work again.  When you finally get into the lab, you place your things down, and that's when you see it lingering underneath his desk in a rushed hiding spot.
Encased within a thickly walled wooden box, an arrow remained, barely hidden from your gaze, as Jotaro had had no time to hide it from you. The latch was undone, another sign that Jotaro had run away from the scene.
Jerk. Didn’t he trust you enough to show you something like this? It’s just a bow and arrow! Why was he hiding it? You called out for him to return to the room and explain what the bow and arrow was for. Hearing no response, you turned back to the wooden box, reaching your hand in to inspect the bow and arrow.
It all happened so fast. In the blink of an eye.
There were no in-between movements. One moment you had pricked your finger on the razor sharp tip of the arrow, the next moment you were standing up, the box had been tightly locked, and Jotaro stood right in front of you, chest to chest, intensely staring you down. Your breath became ragged as you maintained eye contact with him. What just happened? You didn’t even hear him come in. The box was right before your very eyes, and you didn’t even see that it was locked. How did he even turn you around without you knowing?! A chill went down your spine as you hesitated to speak even a word to the man before you.
“Do you see what was in there?”
Jotaro asked you calmly. You felt a cold sweat form on your forehead. Jotaro, ever the impatient man, grabbed your jacket collar, shaking you out of your scared daze.
“I’m asking you now (y/n)! Did you see what was in there?!”
“No, I didn’t see anything! I don’t know what just happened! I swear! I saw you run away from the room and went to see what was in there and the next thing I knew you had come back and it was all so fast and I don’t understand and I-... Jotaro… you’re scaring me.”
Your body convulsed at his rough contact, your hands reaching up to push him away, but his tight grip on your jacket remained steadfast. Pure instinct had compelled you to lie to him about seeing the content of the box, but the terror and confusion you had displayed was genuine. You still didn’t understand how he was able to move that fast, or affect you with you even knowing. Just who was this man?
Jotaro stared down at you for a moment longer, before releasing you from his grip and taking a few steps back. You stumbled back, grabbing the edge of his desk to stabilize your fall. Your heart continued to race in your chest as you heaved, still struggling to make sense of what just happened.
Jotaro silently called out Star Platinum, having his stand hover right in front of you as you kept staring at him in confusion. Your expression didn’t change once he called out his stand. So you were telling the truth. You really hadn’t seen the arrow. Or at least, hadn’t touched it.
Jotaro sighed, rubbing the side of his head with a groan. He hadn’t stopped time in so long, but it seemed he was worried over nothing. “I’m sorry to frighten you, (y/n).”
You finally straightened yourself out, gulping. “Who the hell are you? Really?!”
“...I’m Jotaro Kujo. That is all.”
Another chill ran down up your spine, but you played it off. If he wanted to continue things as per usual, you’d have to do the same.
“Right… I brought breakfast. And there’s a morning meeting in half an hour so freshen up.”
You walked past him to retrieve the food you had bought for them. Looking down to pick it up, you noticed a red blood stain on your jacket. It must have been from your bleeding finger when you’d pricked it on the arrow. However, when you turned to look at the finger itself, you found that it was fully healed, not even scarred, even after such a precise and direct cut. Jotaro politely asked you for the food, claiming hunger, and you rushed to take your coat off and hide it away. You got the sense that he’d question further if he saw the fresh blood stain.
After that fateful morning, things continued on as per usual. You still had your questions, but after a few weeks had passed without another incident, you resolved that whatever that bow and arrow were must have been top secret for the Speedwagon Foundation. You figured no company could be as powerful as they were without keeping a few secrets. And this was one of them.
So you resolved to ask no questions about that one day. The same way you didn’t put up much of a fight when, in the summer of 1999, after months of you two planning to stay there together, Jotaro told you that he would be going to Morioh alone to research for his PhD, without you. You were furious, enraged how the two of you could become so close since you began working there, yet he still didn’t trust you to go with him. You argued with him the night before he was set to leave, but his resolve never crumbled. You weren’t going to Morioh, that was final.
In the three months that he was gone, Jotaro regularly sent you his findings, and you sorted them back at Speedwagon Headquarters. When he finally came back, more visibly shaken than he was before, you could only wonder what the coworker you had grown so attached to had experienced in Morioh in the summer of 1999.
Circling back to the present day, it was the winter of 2000, and there was yet again a dark force afoot in the town of Morioh. Only this time, Jotaro would not go alone.
“You have to let me come with you this time.”
“Explain why. Explain why I have to let you come with me this time. I did just fine on my own before.”
You gritted your teeth at the other’s stubbornness. “Will you please just listen to me? Jotaro when you came back from Morioh, you were even harder to deal with than before! Any sound in the office set you on edge and you screamed when someone set off fireworks near our building! And you still haven’t explained to me what happened there! Now let me come with you! I can help!”
Jotaro turned his attention away from his work, finally looking at you for the first time in that conversation. He hadn’t realized just how attached to you he’d become, how much you meant to him. You were his ticket into communicating with the world to his fullest, and after recalling several confusing conversations with Josuke, Okuyasu, and Koichi, Jotaro realized he actually needed you in order to articulate himself to the others without getting too anxious or angry.
“Alright fine. We’re leaving tomorrow at 2. You better be ready.”
But nothing could have prepared you for the horrors you were about to encounter in that small town. To your shock and disgust, you learned that aside from his research, Jotaro was investigating a murderer. And then you met Josuke and the others. That was when you first felt that you were going crazy. When you saw glimpses of third arms extend out from these teenagers, saw one of them heal a broken leg with ease, saw another erase space itself. People all over this small town were vanishing in thin air, and the incidents were happening more and more frequently. It didn’t make any sense, but no one was commenting on it, so you felt you were just imagining things. The same way you must have imagined Jotaro moving at lightspeed that morning you pricked your finger on the arrow.
Finally, we return to the current scene of Jotaro hunched over his desk, his room in the Morioh Grand Hotel littered with documents, the board nearby covered in photos and string, the bedside clock reading 2:33 am.  You approached him carefully in the tense silence, knowing not to startle him whenever he was in deep thought.
“...Jotaro-”
“Dammit dammit dammit! I’m sick of it! Where the hell is he?!”
Jotaro slammed his fist down on the desk, his chest heaving in frustration. Why did this keep happening to him?! He just wanted to live a normal life, and he thought after Kira, he could. But like so many times before, Jotaro Kujo was wrong. Perhaps it was his destiny to be unfortunate. Perhaps there would always be another person stabbed by the arrow that would have it out for him and the others. Perhaps he was always destined to have a target on his back. Jotaro turned around to see you there, your form shaken from his sudden outburst. You’d never seen him that angry before. He met your gaze, unaware that you were sensing a vague presence of a being just above the man’s shoulder.
He sighed, walking over to you. “I’m sorry to scare you (y/n). I’m just getting frustrated by all this.”
You hesitated to speak for a moment, flinching when Jotaro placed his hand on your shoulder. You look up at him with a glare.  “Tell what you haven’t been telling me.”
“You’ve been with me in Morioh this whole time (y/n). We both know the same things about this case I-”
You shoved Jotaro back, the surprised scientist bumping into his desk. “Don’t play dumb with me Jotaro! There’s something you’re not telling me! Do you think I’m an idiot?! Do you think I can’t handle it?! Tell me why you and a bunch of fucking kids have to be the ones taking down a killer?! Why can’t you just leave it to the police like a normal person?! Just say it! I…  I can help you!”
But Jotaro couldn’t tell you. You wouldn’t understand his world and the horrifying stands contained within it. He had to keep you safe. The moment you find out anything more will be the moment you die.
“No… I can’t tell you (y/n).”
“But that’s not fair I-”
“(y/n), I’m sorry, but if you ask me again, I’ll be forced to send you back home and have you fired from my lab. Try to understand me, I’m doing this for your own safety, but I can’t have you be near me if you don’t cooperate.”
You stood there in shock. Would he really do that? Didn’t he know how much working for him at the Foundation meant to you? How much care that you put in for him and his work? And he’d throw all that away just to protect some stupid secret!? Who did he think he was?!
Your whole body began to quiver in rage at the other’s behavior. Just when you thought there was something between the two of you, something more than just a young professor and his assistant, he makes it clear that you mean nothing to him, and you never have. You watched the man before you, turn away from your gaze to focus back to his work. With a huff, you reach for the door to leave, your hand touching the handle.
Then, it all went white.
Your hand touched the handle, feeling the metal scalding to the touch. Before you could flinch back and yelp at the pain, a hand circled around your neck and another crept around your waist, the grip keeping you flush against another body. You look around the room, watching the color and furniture dissolve from your view until all you could see for miles was a white void. The only thing you could feel was the man with a locked grip on your neck, blocking your airway. You kicked to set yourself free, until you felt a ghostly presence cling onto your legs to hold them together. That same feeling washed over your wrists to bind them as well. The man holding onto you within the void leaned down to bring his mouth to your ear.
“No human on Earth is unable to feel pain.”
Your whole body shuddered at the deep growl in his throat. “W-who are you?! What do you wan-”
“I’m the one talking (y/n)!”
With that, his hold on your neck tightened ever more. How could he have known your name? You all had made a point to only use names in private in case the murderer was lurking around. So that means… A pang of realization hit you. He’d been hiding in this hotel room, listening to you and Jotaro was however long. Black spots appeared before you in your line of sight, your head was feeling lighter and lighter. You were becoming weightless.
“In the split second that a human being first feels pain, that is when they are at their most isolated. At the first sign of pain, it’s every man for himself. When a man is shot, in the first moment he feels pain, he isn’t thinking of the man next to him that got shot in the brain. He’s thinking only of himself. The fight or flight response is activated, all other surroundings become useless. That selfishness, that hunger to be healed, that desire for self preservation, is what fuels Foreigner’s God, my stand!”
Your eyes shot open at the last word. “A...stand?” You choked out.
“My stand, Foreigner's God, extends that initial moment of selfishness that comes with pain. No longer are there distractions that can bring someone back to care for others. No longer are there healers that can take that pain away. Your hand is still burnt from the handle that I heated up, so…”
He turned you both around and you saw through your hazy view, a body appear in the white void. It was Jotaro, the man frantically calling out your name and rushing between his room and yours in a search for you. At one moment, the two of you even seemingly made eye contact, and you saw the absolute fear in his eyes at the realization that he might have just lost you. Your mouth quirked up in a smile, and tears began to form in your eyes.
Jotaro took a step closer, maintaining your gaze, and you felt relief in your heart that he could really see you. Until suddenly, he rushed to the night stand, fazing right through you and your assailant, not even noticing your presence in the room. You struggled to shout under the choking pressure as you saw him panic, reaching to the phone to call Josuke.
“Wait! Jotaro! I’m right here ah-”
“Didn’t I tell you (y/n)! At that critical moment of pain, it’s every man for himself! It’s just you and me in here! You’re in my world now, sweetheart. I allowed you to see Jotaro’s image, but he cannot see or hear you!”
The killer turned your head to the side, ready to snap. But he had to wait, for his stand would deactivate the moment you were killed, and then he’d be left vulnerable to a furious Jotaro in that hotel room. He needed information about his opponents’ abilities, and Jotaro was playing right into his hands by calling his friend.
“That’s it… That’s it Kujo! Call Josuke Higashikata! Call him! CALL HIM!”
You trembled under the rough grip, struggling to call out for Jotaro, hoping he wouldn’t call anyone and reveal any secrets.
And then amidst the silence, the click of Jotaro hanging up the phone filled your ears. You watched the look of reflection on his face. Somehow, maybe it was because of years of battle with monsters just like this man, but Jotaro Kujo realized that you hadn’t run away. Someone was keeping you from him. And he was now more alert than ever.
“Shit! He’s smarter than I thought! He must suspect there’s a stand attack going on.”
The murderer grumbled before dropping you to the ground. He couldn’t kill you, not without proper info on how to defeat Jotaro and the others. But that didn’t mean he couldn’t hurt you. With a sharp kick to the back, the assailant managed to knock you away, breaking bones in your spine and leaving you immobile. Recalling his stand ability, the murderer managed to escape out a window without a trace, figuring you would lose consciousness. With a gentle thud, you toppled to the ground, right next to the open window.
“(y/n)!”
Jotaro rushed to the sound, seeing you lay there, gasping for breath. He turned to the open window seeing no one around. He had disappeared. And right under his nose too. How long had the man been in the room with them?! How dumb could he have been?! Reaching up to Jotaro, you muttered that the man had broken a few bones in your back and that you couldn’t move.
“I’m sorry Jotaro. I didn’t get a good look at his face…”
“Don’t worry about that! I’ll get help right away!”
You looked up with hazy eyes as Jotaro rushed to the phone to call Josuke. After everything between the two of you, after everything he’s said to you, it was surprising to see just how much he truly cared about you. Holding the phone to his ear, Jotaro frantically told Josuke your condition and for him to get over here as soon as possible. Glancing down at your arm, Jotaro’s eyes shot open at the black ink that painted your skin just a few centimeters beneath your wrist. In all caps, as if the murderer was playing with you all, the ink wrote,
“Foreigner’s God - AS.”
- - - - -
“Honestly Mr. Joestar, where does that grandson of yours get off running me and the others ragged like this? He sees one person with the initials A.S. in a phonebook and he sends me out across down to read them with Heaven’s Door.”
Rohan Kishibe sat drinking his tea, absently working on Pink Dark Boy, waiting for Jotaro’s next move. His companion, Joseph Joestar, took a sip of his drink at Rohan’s rude accusation.
“Hush now Rohan. We all put Jotaro in charge of his operation, given his connection to our main victim. All he’s doing is using your stand to its full capabilities.”
The old man raised an eyebrow and Rohan got the hint. Mr. Joestar was the only one of the group that the snarky artist fully respected, so he would follow the seasoned stand user’s lead.
A heavy set of footsteps entered the room, followed by a more uneven pair lingering behind. The two stand users looked up to see you and Jotaro enter. You were looking better since the attack. Josuke had healed your back of the broken bones, but the bruises and intense pain of walking remained. Moving with crutches, you slowly stepped out from behind Jotaro as the two of you entered the room. Jotaro, his face darkened in a mixture of unhealthy fatigue and intense bloodlust, approached Rohan’s table and slammed down a stack of papers.
“Names, addresses, ages, and criminal histories. All here. I want you done with it within the next two days.”
Rohan grumbled, standing up. “You’ve got a lot of nerve talking to me like that Jotaro. Not even a hello, not even an acknowledgment of your grandfather. He’s the only reason I’m letting you push me around like this you-”
Jotaro took one step closer to Rohan, staring the smaller man down in silence. A chill went down the artist’s spine. Shown plainly in the scientist’s eyes was a haze of dark intent, of evil desires. He wanted this person dead, and for them to suffer. Joseph flicked his gaze up at his grandson, recognizing the expression from the other’s climactic fight with DIO. A tinge of worry filled the old soul.
They needed to catch him, and catch him soon.
“Jotaro, come on. We told Josuke and the others we would give them an update soon.”
At the sound of your voice, raspy still from the attack, Jotaro’s face softened into its usual composure. He turned around to face you, and you gave him a tired smile.
“Right, let’s go. Rohan. Two days, please. I’m counting on you.”
Tipping his hat over his eyes, Jotaro held out an arm for you as you both walked to the rendez-vous point to meet with Josuke.
Rohan still felt lost in the other’s murderous expression. It had been three days since your run in with Foreigner’s God, and Heaven’s Door’s user was one of the first to arrive at the scene in order to search for clues. He remembered reading a page drawn from your unconscious body; you had blacked out soon after Jotaro made the call for help. Josuke was working on your spine, and there was a tense silence about the room. A silence soon interrupted by the crash of wood hitting the floor. Everyone looked up, seeing Jotaro standing deathly still in his spot, meanwhile Star Platinum had escaped and had thrown the table over and smashed it into the floor. The rampaging stand turned to the board and knocked it over with a fierce punch, wood scraps and documents flying everywhere.
“Hey Jotaro stop it! We need those!”
Josuke yelled, drawing out Crazy diamond to hold Star back. In his blinded rage, the stand took a mindless swing, punching Crazy Diamond in the jaw and sending both him and Josuke flying into the opposite wall.
“Josuke!”
Koichi and Okuyasu rushed to their friend. He wasn’t injured too badly, surprisingly no bones broken; nothing a bandage or two couldn’t fix. The four of them, the three teenagers and the artist all turned to Jotaro in shock, who by this point had absorbed Star Platinum into his being. Turning back to face them all, they all got a look at it.
The truly furious face of Jotaro Kujo.
The calm and collected scientist now wore the face of violence, a face he hadn’t worn since Egypt. His eyes shone bright with a horrifying lust for vengeance. Those eyes looked away from the frightened stand users, towards your unconscious body. Without a word, Jotaro left the room, and the others let out a shaky breath in the tense air. Those eyes. It had been three days and those eyes were still ever present. Rohan shook away his discomfort and waved goodbye to Mr. Joestar, understanding now.
Jotaro was not in this for justice. If Kira had hurt only you those months ago, Jotaro would have worn the same face. You were the key to Jotaro’s psyche and wellbeing. That was a fundamental truth about Jotaro Kujo. It was that day that Rohan Kishibe learned another fundamental truth.
Sometimes, the universe places an answer in your hands when you need an answer the most.
Half an hour later, it happened. It was in the middle of a secluded street, inhabited by only three people at that moment. A man. A woman. And the young artist, who had been so enraptured by his goal of locating the first name of his list that he barely had the time to react when it happened. And when it did, it only took an instant.
The man in front of him quickly drew out a pocket knife from his jacket, driving its blade into the woman’s shoulder, unaware Rohan was behind him seeing the act in its entirety. Before the woman had any time to scream in pain, the pair vanished into thin air before the artist’s very eyes, and into the man’s stand realm. Rohan held his breath, frightened at the pair’s sudden disappearance. A stand user. It must have been. Was this him? Reaching quickly into his bag, Rohan Kishibe phoned his first line of defense.
You had been sitting with Jotaro and all of the Morioh teenagers when Jotaro received his call from Rohan.
“What is it?”
“I found someone. It’s either him or another one Jotaro.”
Jotaro shot up from his chair, eyes blown out in stress. “Are you sure?! How do you know?!”
Josuke, Okuyasu, and Koichi all grew the same expression of fighting spirit on their faces and you were sure danger was ahead for you all.
Rohan tried to remain calm. “I’m not sure… Come over here with the others. We have a better chance of taking down whoever this is together. I’m by Owsen, two streets over…”
Inside Foreigner’s God’s realm, the man  grabbed on tighter to the struggling woman’s neck as she gasped for air.
“Please, please don’t kill me! Please don’t k-kill me!”
But the man was hardly paying attention to her cries. He had brought a vision of Rohan into the void and was watching the artist’s movement’s while still strangling the woman as she writhed in pain.
He didn’t like what he was hearing. With a grunt, the man turned the woman around to face Rohan’s vision, his hand still tight around her neck.
She whimpered at the sudden motion, tears streaming down her face, meanwhile he stared boredly at Rohan talking on the phone with Jotaro and the others.
“Hey bitch, who is that?”
The woman just kept crying.  “Please don’t kill me!”
Gritting his teeth, the man smacked her upside the head and tightened his grip around her neck. “Tell me who that is!”
Her vision hazy, the woman took a good look at the eccentrically dressed man. “I-I think th-that’s Rohan Kishibe. A famous manga artist…”  She sputtered out.
The man’s eyes widened. Rohan Kishibe. He was at the scene of Kira’s death. Could he be another of them?
A fit of laughter took over him and he cackled, his jubilation mixing uncomfortably with the woman’s struggle for her life. Continuing to holler, the man dropped the woman to the ground and she remained there, coughing to catch her breath.
“Oh that’s great! I’ve heard he’s good too! You ever read any of his stuff?!”
She looked up at him confused, watching his face twist in excitement as he realized that he, a lowly stand user, was about to kill a man that helped take down the mighty Yoshikage Kira. Staring down at the ground, she shuddered at the sound of the maniac’s voice.
“Hey.”
A chill went down the woman’s spine. Suddenly, the man wasn’t laughing anymore. She turned her head to find a way to escape, seeing nothing but white everywhere. Why couldn’t anyone see what he was doing to her?! The man on the street with them, Rohan, why wasn’t he stepping in? It’s like they weren’t the real world at that moment.
“...I asked you a question.”
Tears filled her eyes again as she met his bored gaze. “W-what?”
Drawing closer to her weak form, and kneeling down on the ground, the man before her grabbed a fistful of her hair and she screamed at the sudden jerking pain.
“I’m asking if you’ve ever read any of his stuff!”
The woman felt a crushing pain in her chest, as if a mysterious force was stepping on her.
“N-no! I haven’t! But please don’t k-”
“Hmph.”
In a split second, the stand’s hands came around the woman’s neck and snapped it, and Foreigner’s God’s ability ceased. The man quickly his himself out of sight, seeing Rohan standing alone in the street.
Rohan turned around at the thud of a body hitting the ground behind him. He looked over to see the dead woman, her eyes blown out and a thick ring of bruises around her neck. Just like what you had gone through. And there it was, the same tag that had been on your body after your attack.
 “Foreigner’s God. - AS. ”
Bringing his phone shakily to his ear, Rohan muttered, “It’s him Jotaro. He’s just killed someone else. Get over here now!”
Jotaro felt the same dark intent sweep over him as he heard Rohan speak those words. “Do you see him?”
“No. He hid himself somehow. He’s nearby I bet. Waiting to get me… Come soon. I’m hanging up.” With that, the artist turned his phone off, staying on guard for any attackers.
Jotaro hung up the phone call with Rohan and turned to the others to come with him. You stood up as well to head to the scene when you felt Jotaro’s hand roughly shove you down into your seat.
“No.” He ordered plainly.
“No?! You expect me to be useless again?! I’m the one he attacked first! I wanna see him go down and I wanna help do it!”
“I’m not having you go over there! You can’t get hurt again!”
You stared up at him, shocked at the concern plastered all over his face. But still, you were stubborn. That’s one of the things he loved about you.
“What about you?! What makes you sure you won’t get hurt?! Or even die Jotaro?!”
“I’d rather that than you die (y/n)! The world needs you more than it will ever need me! And I can’t watch someone I love get hurt right in front of me again!”
You stood there frozen, your legs feeling like they were about to give out at those word.
“...What?”
Jotaro felt a hand grip his shoulder, turning to see Josuke motion for him to get going. They needed to catch this guy. And fast. Giving a quick glance to your shaken form, he knew you understood why you needed to stay behind.
You did, of course, know him and his words better than anyone else on Earth.
Jotaro began running with the others towards the scene and when he was a few feet away, you heard Koichi ask your beloved lab partner if he had any idea what kind of stand they were dealing with.
Your mind flooded back to the words that man had spoken to you. A stand. That was the word he kept using. A stand. AS. Those were the initials of the man that nearly strangled you to death. Foreigner’s God. He said that was the name of his stand. A stand. Stand.
Your mind kept repeating that same word over and over again in your head as you stood there in the crowded Morioh street. All of these people. The people you had come to love. Josuke and the others. The strange lives they lived. Jotaro. The strange life he had drawn you into. They were all working to save the thousands of people that lived in this small Japanese town.
You thought back on all they had said, all that you had overheard over the course of the investigation. Things you didn’t understand now flooded your mind. They spoke about the first trip, the killer. Killer. A man named Kira. Killer Queen. Killer Queen must have been his stand. A stand. Is that why you think you’ve been going crazy? Are those third arms stands? ...Did Jotaro have one?
“Gimme… gimme… gimme… GIMME!”
Your whole form awoke from your deep train of thought at the sound of someone calling out to you.  You turned around, looking at all the people that were walking nearby. No one was even looking at you. You sighed. You supposed this town really was driving you crazy. You reached for your crutches and took one step forward-
“GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME!!!”
The loud voice rang violently in your head and you fell to your knees from the shock. Covering your ears, you foolishly tried to block out the sound. Your whole body began to feel weak, your whole being heating up. It felt like your blood was boiling, your muscles were tensing, an unwanted rage consuming every cell in your form.
“What’s going on?! What’s happening to m-”
“GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME!”
“Who are you?! What’s going on?!” You thought to yourself, panicking. What was this voice?!
“GIMME GIMME GIMME!”
“Go away…” You muttered under your breath as you knelt on the pavement.
“GIMME GIMME GIMME!”
“Go away…” Your voice subconsciously raised, drawing others’ attention.
“GIMME GIMME GIMME!”
“GO AWAY!”  You let a shrill yell, grabbing violently at your hair in terror, causing a crowd of people to form around you.
And then the voice stopped, a quiet renewing in your head. You sat there, gasping for air, your throat still burning from the attack days before, and your screaming had not helped it. You looked up at everyone staring up at you in shocked worry. In a calm daze, you stood up, grabbing your crutches and began to walk away from the others.
Jotaro. Jotaro would know what it means. What that voice was.
- - - - -
Arata Sone had been Yoshikage Kira’s only friend as long as the killer had been alive. He was the only person in the world that Kira confided in. He remembered the night he met the blond murderer. One evening, the normal man came home from a very late night at work to a silent home, his wife sleeping upstairs. With a heavy sigh, Sone was about to enter his bedroom when he heard his wife let out a sudden shriek, before the sound immediately ceased into a renewed silence. Panicked, the man swung the door open to find another man about his age, standing in the middle of the room, a dismembered hand in his grasp. The hand was dripping blood onto the carpet, and Sone’s wife was nowhere to be found. Putting two and two together, the man felt a chill slither up his whole body. He remained stuck in his spot as he watched the blond man draw closer to him. Then something strange happened. Arata Sone knew that he should be afraid, knew that he should be begging for his life, knew that the proper thing to do was flee. But what he did shocked both himself and the murderer before him.
Arata Sone laughed harder than he ever had before.
Cackling loudly to an unsettling degree, he even managed to throw the calm and collected Yoshikage Kira off guard. After several minutes, the laughter died down and the man looked at the other before him with a wide smile on his face.
“Thank you.”
For the first time in a long time, Kira felt a shudder rush through his body.
“Thank you?”
“I was waiting for a good moment to kill her myself.”
In that moment, both men felt one of the great pleasures of life, a pleasure that can only come from being shunned for one’s desires for so long, and then to finally have that desire recognized by another being. The two men called out their stands and both fell into fits of laughter and joy at their shared murderous trait. A new friendship had been born.
A few years later, Arata Sone saw on the news the gruesome image of his beloved friend’s face crushed beneath an ambulance. Seeing what he could only guess were other stand users at the scene, his ever present lust for murder grew within him to a boiling point. Foreigner’s God’s user made a promise to himself. To kill those who had killed his friend.
And today was the day to make that happen. The killer watched from his hiding spot as Jotaro and the others ran to the scene to see a very shaken Rohan Kishibe, who was wondering why the killer had yet to show himself. What none of them knew, was that their attacker had grown as a stand user. He was about to apply what his dear friend Kira had once taught him, and was merely hiding to get them all in one place.
Sone waited for the group to get within his stand’s range.
You slowly made your way on your crutches towards the scene. You needed to know these answers.
“Just a little farther…” He thought as he waited for Jotaro and the others to be within his grasp.
“Just a little farther…” You muttered to yourself as you turned the corner, two streets away from Owsen. An ominous feeling crept over you, making you feel sick to your stomach.
Finally, they were all together within his stand’s range. Arata Sone waited for the right moment, a sick smile on his face.
Jotaro went to speak. “Any sign of h-”
And then the attack was sent into motion. In that split second, each of Morioh’s fighters looked down to see a small mass of white matter form around their ankle. With the snap of his fingers, the matter exploded, taking a chunk off each person’s leg with it. Jotaro, Josuke, Koichi, Okuyasu and Rohan all collapsed to the ground as the street became consumed in a white void the moment they all felt that same sting of pain.
“No human on Earth is unable to feel pain.”
They all looked up from writhing in pain as the man they had been hunting down showed himself, the twisted smile on his face more present than before.
“When a man feels he is at his most cornered, that is often when the most opportunities arise for him. My st-”
In a flash, Jotaro lunged forward, landing a punch to Sone’s face. The smile went away.
“I suppose I’ll take your hand next.” He grunted, grabbing Jotaro’s arm and slamming his whole body to the ground. The moment his hand made contact with the ground, another white mass formed around Jotaro’s finger and exploded, and Star Platinum’s user once again hollered in pain.
“Jotaro!”
The other Morioh fighters called out to their injured friend and all of them got up to attack their enemy together. The moment they took another step, white matter formed once more around their feet and exploded again. The five of them were squirming on the ground in pain once again.
“As I was saying before you so rudely interrupted me, Jotaro Kujo. My stand feeds on that first moment of selfish pain and extends it, trapping others in a blank void without distraction from their pain. It’s a terrifying ability when used properly, though I will admit, back when I attacked your little friend, I wouldn’t have been able to take you all on at once, and that’s the only reason I spared her life…”
He looked down to see Jotaro’s face overcome with rage at your mention. It was a fruitless effort, but Jotaro lunged at his enemy again, only to be knocked on his back. The moment his body touched the ground, several bubbles of the same white substance engulfed the scientist’s back and exploded, leaving bleeding indents all over the tall man’s frame and causing him to gasp at the pain.
“But you see. I have grown as a stand user. You may remember from the tag on your beloved friend’s arm the words Foreigner’s God. Well that my friends, is the name of my stand. Or no… this is something different. A new ability that I’ve learned. A swan song to my dear friend, Yoshikage Kira!”
Their eyes shot open at the mention of that hardly forgotten name. “Kira?” Josuke muttered.
“Oh right… an old friend of mine. I figured when I would be taking revenge for his death, I would use some of that explosive power of his that I loved so much. You see everyone, normally I would only be able to keep one person at a time in my realm. You can only hurt some many in one instance after all!”
It was in that moment, Foreigner’s God revealed itself in its humanoid form right beside its user. Lunging forward, the stand attacked the stationary fighters, knocking them all to the ground. At the very second their bodies touched the ground, the same miniature explosions went off, extending their pain and keeping them in the dangerous realm.
“Gimme gimme gimme…”
You placed a hand against your ear trying to block out that annoying voice that was seemingly coming out of nowhere. You weren’t far from the scene, your mind still running wild, asking a thousand questions as to what a stand even was, what that voice just then was, who were the others really dealing with, what was this man capable of. You weren’t sure of what you would be able to do, but something within you drew your body closer and closer to the street where your friends were currently writhing in agony. You didn’t care about what Jotaro wasn’t telling you. You didn’t care that there were still questions that needed answered. You just wanted to help, anyway you could figure out how.
Staring down at their battered and bleeding bodies, Arata Sone let out another burst of jubilation amidst the void.
“I don’t know why I hadn’t thought of this before! If you haven’t already noticed, my once empty void has now been combined with its own type of landmines. You cannot move without a new one setting off, and extending that pain further. You’re going to be stuck in here until you bleed out, with no one to hear you or see you! That is it the secret to my new ability, Arsonist’s Lullaby!”
With that cry, the stand stormed through the five of them once more, knocking them to the ground once more, causing new land mines to set off, all to the tune of its user’s laugh-filled joy. It was then that white walls of the void were beginning to fade, and the scenery of that Morioh street was starting to fade back into view.
“Hmm… it appears this ability takes up more of my energy than I thought. I suppose I can’t kill all five of you at once and remain invisible at the same time. No matter, I can’t sense any other stand users around, just the six of us. I don’t care who sees this! I’ll just kill the witnesses after I kill you!”
It was then that Arata Sone made a fatal mistake, and just like his friend Yoshikage Kira, let his hubris take over. Removing the hiding nature of his stand, but doubling the landmines, the man watched as the five powerful stand users struggled to even get close enough to him to land in a hit. New landmines keep going off, new injuries created.
They were dangerously close to bleeding out, all in plain sight of another stand user. You.
You turned the corner to see the carnage ahead of you, finding your whole group in the enemy’s grasp. You couldn’t even tell what you were seeing. The moment one of your friends moved, they would immediately flinch back in agony. Drawing your attention to the man standing over them, a familiar chill went through you. That was the same man that had attacked you days before. And seeing what he was capable of doing to the people you had grown so close to, you were now more scared than ever of him.
But you noticed something. Amidst the pleasure that this monster was reveling in, there was a distinct look of concentration plastered all over his face. You watched his expression twitch with each time an attack went off on one of your friends. He must be doing something with his mind to attack them. He was focusing. His focus. You needed to capture his focus.
Steeling yourself for what was to come, you dropped your crutches and took a deep breath in, something in you knowing the dangers you were about to face, and the rest of you stupidly seeming not to care.
With a small ounce of bravery, you shouted at the top of your lungs. “Stop it! I won’t let you hurt them!”
Sone turned around at the sudden distraction, surprised that someone was taking notice. His eyebrow raised in intrigue. That could only mean one thing. You were another one.
Jotaro recognized that voice. No… no no no. Looking up, he saw your frightened body shaking and staring straight into the enemy’s eyes without a way to defend yourself.
“No! (y/n) get out of here! You can’t be here! He’ll kill-”
The killer turned back around and punched Jotaro straight in the gut with his stand, sending him flying back into a tree.
“Jotaro!”
You shrieked. All five of them were dying right in front of you, so close to bleeding out. And now his focus was on you, and it had taken all your courage to simply call out and distract him from the others. You watched as the man drew closer, ready to kill another. The same giant smile came over his face again.
“(y/n) huh? And here I thought you were a smart person. Smart enough not to beg for me to hurt you again. But sorry, there’s no escape this time!”
“(y/n) no! Run away! Get out of here!”
You didn’t have time to register whose voice had called out to you before you saw the attacker lunge right at you. You put your arms up over your face as your body collapsed to its knees, your eyes shut in fear, and a horrified scream uncontrollably left your lungs.
“Now die!”
And then, you felt weightless.
“GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME”
As you felt a massive weight being lifted from your body, your eyes shot open to find someone new standing over you. Actually, you weren’t sure if it was someone new, or something new. This new thing, it didn’t seem real.
“GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME”
Your face lit up in shock. Attached to this new thing was the same voice that you had been hearing in your head before. You watched as its fists fired off in a flurry of punches, all hitting their marks on the man’s body. You were mesmerized by its appearance. Its body, about the same size as yours, looked as if it were made of glass. Swirling around within that glass was a pool of different colors. Different blues, purples, oranges and pinks flowed together seamlessly, all encased within the glass structure as it pummeled the enemy before you.
“GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME… A MAN!”
With one last, hard punch to the enemy’s chest, the glass figure stopped its attack and turned around to face you. You shuffled back on the ground, your chest heaving in fear from what had just happened. The figure before you, without speaking a word, drew its arm forward to point at Sone, who was now frozen in his spot before you. Then, everyone watched as small ripples began to form over the man’s whole body. All over his arms, legs, and chest, it looks as if the flesh was moving, as if someone had dropped a pebble into a lake. Then the ripples began to glow brightly, the full spectrum of colors radiating out, and tearing their way from the inside of his body outward. The enemy let out a painful shriek as the searing pain overtook him, more and more light spilling out of his body as the flesh around it became torn and melted. Finally, less than a second later, an explosion of white light burst out of the man’s body. And once that flash was gone, so was he. Foreigner’s God had been defeated. And this thing that you could tell was a part of you, it had been the thing to kill him.
Shakily, you stood up, holding on tightly to your crutches, keeping your gaze on this figure that had erupted out of you.
“...ABBA?”
Still confused, all you knew was that something in your body told you to say that name. The figure turned around to face you and gave you a shy smile before coming closer and embracing your shaking form in a hug. Surprised you could even touch it, you wrapped your arms around ABBA as well, finding to your disbelief that the glass like material felt soft and warm to the touch. You looked down its back, eyeing the pattern of jagged lines all over its body, as well as the swirling colors within. You felt your eyes well up with tears. Something about holding onto this being, one not entirely separate from you, felt so right. It felt like it had been welling up inside you for so long, and you couldn’t help but love it now that it was out.
“A stand…” You muttered. It was all so clear now. Your stand.
After a few moments, ABBA stood up and nodded towards the group of your injured friends. Holding you up, both you and your stand rushed over to Josuke. The teenager’s eyes opened with a pained groan, looking up at you and seeing ABBA at your side. His face lit up in surprise and he tried to sit up before the crushing pain forced him back down onto the ground. He muttered weakly for you to see if Rohan was alright, and you did.
Suddenly, a small white figure burst out of the artist’s body and punched Josuke in the arm. You watched, intrigued as a section of the teen’s arm unfolded like a book. The white figure leaned in, writing in Josuke’s arm the words, “I currently do not have any injuries.”
You watched in awe as the bleeding wounds all over Josuke’s body slowly began to close. Within a few minutes, Josuke was up and mobile as ever. He had several questions to ask you, but first, he had some healing to do. You watched as a pink and blue being, you assumed Josuke’s stand, flew out of his body and hovered over all of the other injured, healing them nearly immediately. They all stood up, groaning from the shadows of pain still left behind from the attacks. One by one, each of them looked up at you, each of their faces growing an expression of surprise and adoration. You felt small under their gazes, looking up at your stand standing next to you. As small as you felt, there was something about ABBA that made you feel powerful. Especially considering what it had just done to defeat the enemy.
“(y/n)... is that your stand…?”
You looked over at Koichi before quickly nodding. “Yeah… I guess it must be right?”
You tried to shrug it off with a nervous laugh, but even you were still in awe of this new ability. Finally, you turned to Jotaro, watching his face for a reaction. The gentle giant stood frozen at a loss of words, unsure of what to say. His gaze turned to ABBA, a melancholy look of admiration and love spread over his features.
“Come on Jotaro… say something. Don’t worry. I’ll understand-”
You muttered softly before Jotaro rushed forward and cut you off with a tight hug. You rested your smaller body against him, tears of relief streaming down your face, grateful that everyone was still alive. You looked up to gaze into Jotaro’s blue eyes, seeing that he had begun to tear up as well. Then something caught your eye. Looking over the tall man’s shoulder, you saw a purple skinned spirit faze out of your partner’s body and float over to ABBA, starting deeply into your stand’s face. ABBA, who had before been so calm and collected, now shrunk back a little bit with a childish giggle at the sight of the handsome stand before her. As ABBA held her face in her hands, you felt your cheeks flush bright red. Your eyes widened and you pushed Jotaro away from you, turning to your stand.
“H-hey wait a minute! ABBA, it’s not like that!”
“Gimme?”
ABBA asked innocently as she grabbed Star Platinum’s hand tightly in her own. Jotaro now felt his face heat up and turn bright red. With a heavy sigh, he watched as his stand wrapped yours in its arms, chuckling a bit at your embarrassment.
“Sorry about all this. His name’s Star Platinum, and he’s definitely more… emotional than I am.”
Your eyes widened at what that could possibly mean. Wait… did they think that you and Jotaro were…
“W-wait it’s not like that! He and I are just… “
“Gimme?”
“No! W-well I mean I care about him but I-”
“(y/n).”
You turned around to face Jotaro as he calmly took his hat off, revealing the jet black hair that you loved seeing.
“I’m so glad you’re okay (y/n).”
Your heart swelled at his words and you slowly turned around to see ABBA and Star Platinum holding each other lovingly, a warmth erupting throughout your whole body at the sight. The feeling of Jotaro grabbing your hand caught your attention and met his gaze once more.
“He’s the personification of my thoughts and well… it seems like your stand, ABBA right? It seems like she’s the personification of yours.”
The two of you watched as your stands talk to one another in their own little language, each enamored by the other’s presence. You turned back to Jotaro, seeing that his face had drawn closer.
“Yeah… I guess... you’re… right.”
As you breathed out that last word, Jotaro closed the gap between the two of you, your lips connecting in a sweet, long awaited kiss. You wrapped your arms around the fellow scientist’s, and now fellow stand user’s, neck, giggling slightly as he lifted your body off the ground to hold you tightly in his arms. When you two broke for air, Jotaro quickly kissed you again, holding you up like his life depended on it.
When he finally set you down, Jotaro Kujo placed a hand to the side of your face and wiped away your tears. With a small laugh, he turned over to your stand.
“Hey ABBA, what took you so long huh?”
“...Gimme.” ABBA shrugged a little bit and pointed at you.
You smiled, wiping your tears away. “She said she wouldn’t appear until I was either ready for it, or I really needed her.”
Jotaro rolled his eyes at your stand. “Well you really waited for the exact moment that she needed you huh-Ow!”
Jotaro grumbled a bit as Star punched him in the arm, annoyed that his user was making fun of this new pretty stand. ABBA grinned mischievously before looking around at the rest of the group, and seeing all of the other stands.
A feeling of happiness swelled within the stand’s heart. Ever since you had pricked your finger on the arrow, for so long she had been growing, becoming more and more trapped within you. It had been lonely seeing you struggle without her help. It had been upsetting to see you not yet be ready for her to show herself. But now, eyeing all the others, Heaven’s Door, Echoes, the Hand, Crazy Diamond, and especially Star Platinum, ABBA really didn’t feel alone anymore. And seeing now how the other stand users of Morioh rushed over to hug you and vocalize their shock at you having a stand, ABBA could tell that you didn’t really feel alone anymore either. With a sigh of content, your stand fazed back into your body as you followed the rest of the group away from the scene and back to the hotel to get some much needed rest.
You leaned against Jotaro’s frame as he wrapped as a strong arm around you. “Come on. Let’s get something to eat everyone! Tonio’s, my treat!” He said with a bright smile.
Josuke and Okuyasu cheered, “and (y/n) can meet Tonio’s stand!”
You turned back to the teens in shock as you all walked ahead. “Tonio has a stand?!”
Koichi gave a firm nod. “Yeah. So does Hazamada.”
“That weird kid?!”
“My girlfriend Yukako too.”
“Damn… I had no idea…”
You all shared a laugh as you left to enjoy a well deserved victory, the sun setting over the beautiful town of Morioh, another dark force defeated by the town's newest savior.
