Anyone who knows much about the history of remote viewing, knows that beyond Ingo Swann and Pat Price (RIP), Joe McMoneagle is the best, publicly known remote viewer.
He used to have a tv show in Japan where he would psychically find missing people for goodness sakes. Google him.
I try to avoid way out there things on this tumblr, and find a bit of balance of scientific understanding and the bleeding edge of the unknown. However, this is a bit different. The man remote views Mars.
So, weather you take it as science fiction or a thread of possibility, it is still very entertaining.

"The conclusion I have come to is that we have sort of gone full circle. We have realized that the pragmatic side of humankind will not give us the answer we are looking for, because it’s insufficient, and all the things put down over the years – arts, literature – are the other side of the coin. You could describe sentience as having both a requirement to be spiritual and at the same time pragmatic with one foot in reality. It’s the only way you can understand it. We’ve been flip-flopping from one side to another for thousands of years trying to figure out that secret. We may be entering an age in which humankind at large is realizing that we aren’t getting answers from either side. There has to be a blend. It’s almost as if we are acknowledging that magic is possible and that’s where the answer will be lying."

Mars
So Joe McMoneagle famously was part of the CIA's Stargate project, way back when- this was an endeavor to prove the tactical viability of the practice of "remote viewing," which- not to get too into it- is something like our traditional idea of clairvoyance. The difference is that the viewer is actively discouraged from drawing their own conclusions, and instead serves to directly state the imagery in their head when given an obscured prompt- usually an index card in an envelope.
McMoneagle has a pretty strong track record, and accurately identified the Russian "Typhoon"-class submarine before anyone else in the States knew about it.
But, here's a link.
https://documents2.theblackvault.com/documents/cia/CIA-RDP96-00788R001900760001-9.pdf
This is the CIA Black Vault, a website that curates official CIA paperwork that has either been declassified or was pulled via FOIA request. And this is a transcript of when Joe McMoneagle was prompted to remotely view the surface of Mars, one million years ago.
Now, whether or not you believe in remote viewing, or that Mars was ever inhabited, it makes for a fascinating read. And what gets me is that it doesn't read like science fiction- Joe has written a couple of books, but both of them were fairly direct, and neither of them very floral in terms of prose- and it talks about these large figures who demonstrated some mild awareness of him, and who were putting themselves away in a large structure because their atmosphere, climate, living conditions were all falling apart.
I think about that, and I think about stuff like the alleged pyramids and "face" on Mars- keeping pareidolia well in mind as I do- and then I think about Egypt. Not about any Giorgio Tsoukalos guff- I don't know the man, but I know fucking around when I see it. I don't like how much fun he's having on the History Channel- but I think about actual archaeology, and how they find entire temple complexes, stone walls, structures and floor plans, all fully laid out and completely intact, but utterly invisible and buried under layers and layers of sand and stone after a few thousand years.
And I think, "well, Mars has had a million or more years to go through the same process. And Mars doesn't have a lot right now, but it does have wind and sand." And it leaves me wondering if something is underneath there.
It puts me in a position where I'm willing to believe that maybe someone left mars, way back when, trying to find a way for the people who lived there to start over.
It's a plausible motive, if anything. We're watching our own planet get worse right now, and hearing some folks misguidedly suggest we should just leave instead of cleaning up our own mess.
...I don't mean to cast aspersions, I'm just big on accountability. Oil companies don't love to hear that out of a regular purchaser of gasoline.

Joe McMoneagle - Remote viewing of Mars (2004)
youtube
Quote:
That's a "20,000 meter pyramid" so 65,000 feet? So a pyramid over twice as tall as Mount Everest? How big were these aliens?  CIA de-classified documents verify the event happened. Skeptics may question if remote viewing in general is real, but the question is what led the US government to use a remote reviewer to investigate a specific area of Mars 1 million BC? They asked about a very specific location on Mars at a specific time. At those coordinates, using public images of Mars we can see the remains of what appears to be pyramids... The government has to know there are ancient ruins on Mars.

Joseph McMoneagle is a world-renowned remote viewer who has worked professionally in the field for almost four decades – both within the military and as a private contractor. He is author of Mind Trek, The Ultimate Time Machine, The Stargate Chronicles: Memoirs of a Psychic Spy, and Remote Viewing Secrets. He is also coauthor of ESP Wars: East and West. He is the recipient of a congressional Legion of Merit Award for his remote viewing work within the U.S. government military intelligence services.
Here he maintains that remote viewing is generally more successful when applied to an application that addresses real human needs and emotions, as opposed to pure research. He gives several examples of relatively successful applications. He notes, however, that accurate remote viewing does not necessarily lead to a successful application in many fields – unless there is some independent corroboration. He also suggests that successful remote viewers are capable of operating under a variety of adverse conditions. His most consistently successful remote viewings involved radioactive targets. This, he suggests, is related to a concept known as the gradient of entropy.
New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in "parapsychology" ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980).

"I did a remote viewing in early 1980s, 82 or 83, where a UFO target was mixed in with other targets so I had no idea it was a UFO target. It was very general – the targeting material was a newspaper clipping from 1952 referring to a sighting in Tacoma WA, a pattern of lights dancing on the horizon, people getting out of their cars and watching for a few minutes. It was double-wrapped in a thick envelope. My actual remote viewing was unique in that it was not the dissociative kind of RM, it was an automatic out-of-body experience. I found myself inside a white cube. That had never happened and has not happened since. Finding myself in this cube, I started to look for windows, doors, some kind of ingress-egress, and while I was looking, an apparition of my father appeared. He had died three years earlier. The apparition was very angry and told me to leave, that I had no business being where I was, which was not my father’s nature. He would never have done that. So I knew it was a projection of some kind. My response was to continue to look for an ingress-egress point. The apparition seemed to be confused for a minute and then vanished, to be replaced by a light being that folded into two of itself, it seemed to be arguing with itself in some strange language. My first perception was to be concerned, my second was that I was supposed to be concerned, so I wasn’t going to be, which confused the light being. I was then threatened with a light being which I thought was ridiculous, I almost said it out loud. The entity argued with itself some more then folded up and disappeared. I had a sense that something reached inside my being and strummed a nerve ending that instantly made me ill. I felt I was going to projectile vomit and found myself slam bang back in my body sitting bold upright and I collided heads with my monitor. Both of us were walking around the room holding our heads in pain. I explained to him what had happened and it turned out I had gone almost comatose, slipped backwards on the chair, and he became concerned. He figured things were out of control and we terminated the remote viewing. We recorded the material and opened the envelope and discovered that the target was the UFO target. Now, here’s the fascinating part: the length of the remote viewing session was almost identical to the length of the UFO event. In the newspaper report, they said the lights just winked out at the end of the UFO event. The particular physicist who had given us the target said, jeez, I wonder if you’re the reason why the lights winked out. Or are you the reason why there were lights in 1952?"

Day 2 night 3
Today was awesome. I even cried in front of the group. First one! Hahaa
Had a class on remote viewing and then our teachers surprised us with guest speaker Joe Mcmoneagle who worked for stargate and is the most renound remote viewer on the planet. That was a gift I will never forget. He spoke from 7 until midnight with us.
Today was amazing. I met my native American Spirit family in focus 12. ( no explanation - wrote it In my journal)
I went on a run and sat in the sun and thought of many photo shoots on my break... and was bombarded with new knowledge in between
I got to talk to Martine the old French lady that I just love so much. Turns out she is a psychologist and a shaman. She’s very into Native American stuff like me and has a calling to Native American jewelry just like me too. I am tryin to get the serial number off of her Chanel glasses because I need to have the same ones haha! I can’t ask that would be strange. But I guess it’s even more odd that I keep sneaking glances at them while they are on the table. Lol I also need to know what lip liner and lipstick she uses... I think it would be perfect for me too lol. I just love her for some reason. Oh and I did find out that she jumped out of a window because she was in a session with a client and he tried to stab her with a 20 inch dagger so she flew out of the window in hopes of surging the aggressor. She’s got some body pain but she’s healing up just fine! She says she went to school in big sur for shamanism... I just wanna do it for my self and have that knowledge. It may be my next venture. I didn’t really understand her but I think she said it’s 3 weeks in a row once a year for three years. But I’ll find out more- I told her I wanted to know more about her schooling. She incorporates psychology and shamanic work all in one. Idk ? But I love it.
Theres something that the teachers see in me that’s different than the others. They keep a special eye on my progress.

The Stargate Project (Part 2)
De satirische film uit 2009 “The Men Who Stare at Goats” is gebaseerd op dergelijk onderzoek. In 1981 werd het meer openbare contractonderzoek verplaatst van SRI naar Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) met aan het hoofd dr. Ed May.
