Re the earing post: a white European loser made the poll "did you get your ears pierced when you were a baby?" To which the only two options were (paraphrased here, but very close to:) "yes (what the fuck)" or "no (your parents were sane)". A bunch of nonwhite users mentioned that this mindset is weird to have since piercing your baby's ears can be done for cultural or religious etc reasons & is very popular with nonwhite cultures, & that it was kinda racially charged & weird to call anyone who has their baby's ears pierced "insane".
They doubled down & started acting weird including calling themselves a "gringo" ("assigned gringo by tumblr" they said, bc someone asked if they were a white American) even though nobody called them a gringo, still calling people "insane" & not at all addressing the racist implications of that, & just in general acting like their experience is universal & all that. It's a mess

the way you and chase portray orfuse and harlan's relationship, as a victim and an abuser/manipulator/etc is so...idk. like. as a victim myself, i can very clearly see myself in orfuse's shoes and the people who judge him make me go hm?? raise my eyebrows?? harfuse isnt triggering (to me, at least) and its nice to see a portrayal of something close to what i personally have gone through in my life. sorry this got rambley idk what the point was. guys write real and write good :-)!!
that really means a lot to me, thank u... I think Chase deserves a lot of the credit for how that dynamic shook out, they really did most of the legwork by making Orfuse feel like such a real, complicated person. The fact that their relationship resonates with you genuinely means the world to me; that's all I really want out of my art.
I'm definitely not secretive about the fact that abuse is a common theme in my writing, but it's never something I want to write gratuitously, y'know? I don't want to write suffering for suffering's sake or approach pain in a way that feels like spectacle.
Um fun fact when Chase was going to bring Orfuse back to life we were talking about how sad things were going to be for him and how much he would be dying to go back to Harlan... And I was like "Chase I need you tell me that you're gonna let him heal and be happy eventually"
And Chase of course was like "who do u take me for of course i will i only write love stories"

There's a (probably fake) rumor that the Netflix live action ATLA will hint at The Southern Raiders episode in season 1. Which first off, why???? Second, this sounds like a conspiracy to rile the ZKs up and get them to generate hype for the show.
I mean, what exactly are we talking about here? "Season one will have foreshadowing of future events?" if that's just it, with them setting up that whole Southern Raiders things early on, maybe giving said raiders a bigger role in the story, then it's fine.
Now if it's rumors of "Netflix is make Zutara happen" instead, then yeah, it's either false and just zutarians coping (I've even heard ZUKKA fans "we totally have some secret confirmation that Netflix will make Zukka canon") or they DID find some real info on that somehow and Netflix is basically going "We are gonna make a popular fanon thing canon! Please ignore the fact the creators walked out of the production because we are supposedly using the same generic formula of all of our live-action reboots that led nearly every single one of them to fail! Also please get hyped for this, give us money, and forget all the bullshit changes we'd made like not letting people share their password, and the way the strike revelaed just how badly we underpaid AND overworked our writers and actors."
Anyways, can yall tell I'm glad Netflix's reputation is the gutter for reasons not at all related to Avatar and they got fucked during the writers/actors strike? And that I REALLY don't think anything good will come from this live-action shitshow, regardless of them making Zutara a thing or not?
(Seriously, companies like Netflix should stop giving live-action reboots to every animated show/movie ever, some stories are just PERFECT for cartoons, and Avatar is very much one of said stories)

Im so glad I found older snc fans because I was starting to think it was just pretty young fans who can’t seriously discuss their relationships and lives and content.
this got to be a very long response, so sorry in advance lol
what i find very interesting about fandom culture as it is now is that when i first joined snc's fandom back in 2018, i was on insta only and literally there were confession accounts on there. basically in a similar vain to here, ppl would dm the person that owned the account "confessions" or opinions they had about anything related to snc and then the account would post it, and ppl would talk in the comments about it. usually those accounts would get out of hand eventually bc ppl would send in a lot of mean ones that would end up getting the person that owned the account in trouble.
wow, things haven't changed lol
but i think what ended those accounts was at one point there was an account that talked about a girl colby was possibly dating at the time, and the confession was shitting on her, and then colby commented on that post and said the equivilant of "hey i get you guys have opinions and i love that you want to share them and i don't mind seeing them, but if they are hurtful or mean i don't want that in my life". and i think that solidified the end of confession accounts, at least in this fandom.
i also think there was a major shift during the pandemic where ppl just didn't want to see anything deemed "negative" so now ppl are hyper vigilent to call out those that seem to be doing anything not positive. which i can understand sometimes, but i think a lot of fans take things too far. both sides do this.
my thing is, i've always enjoyed seeing other ppl's opinions, even when i don't agree. especially when related to fandom stuff. bc a lot of what we talk about on here is meant to be light-hearted and goofy and not to be taken seriously. i mean for christ's sakes we talk about the girls colby may or may not have hooked up with. and mind you, we barely have proof of any of them ! so again, it's all supposed to be silly and not urgent, important info.
but i think the reason why a lot of fans, sometimes younger, don't like seeing conversations like this is bc they think it's inappropiate or goes too far or bc it's not ultra positive all the time, it's deemed not worth having. which i get. i won't argue over that. my thing is….. yall are having these conversations too, you just keep it in dms and gcs. and if you pretend that isn't the case and "no i would NEVER talk about snc like this", you're lying. or you're very foolish to think that not everyone else around you is doing the same thing. the difference is i allow these conversations to happen publicly on my page.
i think bc i also allow ppl, for the most part, to vent about snc and others related to them, i'm seen as agreeing with their opinion - whether good or bad. but that usually isn't the case, but bc i'm allowing someone to have a voice when they otherwise wouldn't, i'm deemed bad or a hater.
on twitter, i think a lot of the disconnect comes from this idea of younger fans vs older. i think a lot of the younger fans don't want to interact with the older, and that's totally understandable. god knows 16 year old me wouldn't have wanted to talk to someone a decade older than me. and vice versa. i think the issue that arises is that the younger fans see the older ones as… too old to still be here. they see someone my age and go "why are you still around, you should have left already" or that i shouldn't be on social media to begin with. that whole idea is funny to me bc i've been online longer than some of them have been alive (but please note i ain't saying that as a flex lol). i also think a lot of older fans make younger fans uncomfortable, especially on twitter, for being very…….polarizing. and i think the older fans see the younger ones as annoying. like younger siblings that just won't fuck off.
do i agree with either one? no. i don't see younger fans as annoying, for the most part. and i don't see older fans any different. i think a lot of the problems that have appeared over the years is bc of the pandemic; too many ppl stuck inside for too long with nothing to do, mixed with a terrible world getting worse, and now everyone just feels the need to be assholes whenever they can bc they're sick and tired of being sick and tired all the time. and it's easier to take it out on one another in fandoms than it is to do it irl, but even that doesn't stop those from doing it.
i will note that there are a decent number of older fans on twitter in the snc fandom that make it very hard to be an older fan. like a lot of the ones that are on twitter say a lot of extremely sexual shit about colby. and look, i don't mind talking about that man sexually. but there's also a level to it. some of these women borderline write fanfics about him, but include themselves in it, and then all of that is one twitter. and that can be off-putting. i won't name names, but some just need to take it down a peg or two, that's all.
but that also isn't to say that younger fans don't do the same in some regard. i'm just saying some of the older fans take it farther than necessary.
i think there is a lot of nuance to this, and a lot of reasons why ppl act the way they do. i'm not trying to blame any one or any particular age demo, i'm just saying what i've witness and what i believe to be true. doesn't make me right however.

I mean what better way to start this second year than some chaos since that's how animal anon started to begin with! I will admit, it was slightly stressful coming up with something to meet the occasion of this event. I hope the countdown and this post live up to it. No, I'm not going to reveal myself just yet.. maybe that will be for year 2...😏😏. BUT I will give you some fun facts about me! So let's see; first, I'm from the Midwest (so not Canadian, but close so I do have a slight accent), but I currently live in the TriState area. Second, I am a MASSIVE theater nerd. No, seriously I have been to 21 shows since Broadway reopened in September and I'm actually going to my 22nd tonight. I don't know if this makes that fact better or worse, but I've really only been to about 12 different show because out of those 22, 10 of those are one specific show. Third, I am fluent in German and English. Though, I suck at writing in German, I never learned how to, so don't ask me to do that please. Fourth, my favorite color is red, so you can guess my favorite Taylor album (and coincidently also the show I've been to see 10 times on Broadway...). Fifth, I love to talk A LOT if you couldn't tell by the essays I send yall. And lastly, I can also confirm I am not Taylor...but I will say that I do share something very important with her... tell me your guesses down below as to what very important thing you think Taylor and I have in common, and I'll send some extra animals to whomever I see gets it right first!

Muku and Yuki came to speak at St Flora for an alumni event and talked about Mankai, which is what inspired Homare to join. He's still the same poetic boy we all know and love - although currently, he's still just an aspiring poet.
The big difference is that he's never met his ex in this AU, which leads to two things: him being more emotionally available and him being even more insensitive at times. Of course, whenever the latter happens, he has Mankai around to tell him that he's hurt their feelings in a normal way, and not just call him a robot.
Also, he ends up reconciling with his grandmother earlier, which is a win! Honestly, everything is coming up Homare!
AND YES EXACTLY... yukis power in this AU is not to be underestimated.

Good Girl
Hearing the door to the bunker opening was the last thing you expected at ten o'clock. But, hearing the door open meant only one thing. Dean was home! Him and Sammy had been in a state over and they weren't supposed to be home for another day.
As he stepped through the door frame, you sprinted to him. "Dean! You're home early," you squealed as he dropped his bags in front of him. Taking that as an offer, you ran and jumped in his arms and wrapped your legs around his waist.
Looking at the man before you, you took in his appearance. His eyes, that deep green they turned when you were near. His hair wet from the drizzle of rain outside. One little thing was different though, and that was the beard he was starting to show off. Heaven help this man when Sammy gets to his room!
Grinning from ear to ear he said," Y/N, I was not gone that long. Did you really miss me this much?" You pulled him into you by the collar of his plaid shirt. You knew what you wanted and what you needed. The need to feel him close. The yearning to have his lips on yours, sharing the same breath. Just feeling his hands beneath you was enough to drive you mad.
At the same time Sam walked in. "Oh, come on! Can the two of you please get a room," he shreaked. Sammy knew during times like these to busy himself. Because when Dean came home, you gave him a proper welcoming. Turning to wink at the younger brother, you told him you were glad he was back safe. If he heard you. By the time you looked back at Dean, you could hear Sam's footsteps going into his room.
"Dean," your breathing showed the shallow in your voice," You don't understand how long it's been. Do you?" Clearing his throat, he got your attention. Your eyes had stayed on his lips since you had turned around from seeing Sam.
"Has my good girl turned bad?" Searching his eyes, you could tell he really meant what he said. But that was it. The last straw. You told him how you felt about those two words. You felt childish whenever he used those words. He didn't need a child. Dean needed a woman.
Jumping down on your own to legs you stormed off leaving him by himself. Taking off to the bedroom, you jerked the door open when you were in front of it. From a good mood to instantly bad, you started shredding your clothes to get into your bed. You pulled back the neat blankets and slid straight in. Everything was great until he said those small words. You didn't realize how upset you were until Dean rushed in and climbed in beside you.
"Y/N, what did I do," his voice caving in. It was great to feel him behind you, but you were still mad at him. Then, as if he read your mind, he placed a tight grip on your hip and pulled you closer. There was no space for moving. His strong hands never left your side as he started breathing down your neck. It wasn't long before you felt the light kisses he was trailing down from your ear, nibbling on your jaw when he made his way there.
"Dean, I.. uh," forming the words was so hard when his tongue hit your skin on your neck," I need to tell you something." He never stopped marking you, telling you to go on. "This is so hard for me," you breathed out. "Sit up and look at me!"
Obeying nicely, your boyfriend sat up. Placing your hand in his you let out what had been on your mind. "I'm tired of being the good girl, Dean. You need someone who's going to test your limits, not.. not this," you gesture to yourself. He was inches before you now, trying to read the seriousness in your eyes.
"Sweetheart, what I need is for you to be my good girl and do what I tell you to," he laughed. He knew how to press all of your buttons.That damn mouth of his was going to get him into trouble. "If trouble is what he wanted, then trouble is what he is about to get," you thought to yourself.
Not taking it any more, you shoved him on his back. Crawling up him, you straddled his hips and placed your hands on each side of him with his hands in yours. "Awwe, Sweetheart," you mocked," I knew I was just going to have to prove to you that I was serious about this," you threatened. He must have understood you that time because he was silent. And you cocked an eyebrow at him when you felt him grow underneath you.
"No sir, not right now," you teased. Settling over him, you dipped down to kiss his lips. The kiss that had been waiting all night. The kiss that would lead you to more. With your hands keeping his down, you moved down his face, to his hot, thick neck. Finding the perfect spot you began to nibble there.
You didn't know what to expect, never being in control like this. But when Dean let out a low moan there was a shock inside of you that made you jerk on top of him. Chewing your lower lip, you let go of his hands. "Your punishment is over with," you lingered,"But if you do this again, don't think I'll stop there next time."
Just like that, it was enough to make him snap. This what you've been waiting on. "Baby girl, what can I say? How should I react to this, this new attitude?" Sitting up with you still in his lap, he wrapped his strong arms around you. "I think you truly meant what you had said," he licked at his lips, "And damn, if I'm not ready for you now," he whispered as he bucked his hips into you.
With him leading you, you lifted the shirt he had been wearing off his shoulders and tossed it to the floor. You held onto him as he made the same move, pausing for a kiss in between. Slowly tracing the skin on your arms, he slipped his hands behind your back, ridding you of your bra. You dug your nails into him when he began tracing the outline of your shorts.
"Nope, no sir," you sighed. "Tonight is about you," you smiled at him. Once again, Mr. Winchester found himself on his back. You left a trail of kisses down him until you made the way to his belt. Looking up at him you, with your voice low, "Is this what you want, Dean? Don't be scared," you bit your lip not knowing what he would say.
"Yes, yes Y/N. This is absolutely what I want," he hissed as you bit down on his hip.
Looking up at him you asked," I'm sorry, Sir. What was that?" There was a sweet grin that teased on your lips as you watched him squirm.
"Yes ma'am! Yes ma'am, this is what I want!" Those words made you cave in as they left his lips. He finally learned who he was dealing with.
"Mmm.. Dean. I'm so proud of you." You smiled, showing all teeth. He was sweating bullets waiting on you and now it was time for your end of the bargain. "Now, be a good boy and run your hands through my hair!"

Anyway, GUESS WHAT TODAY IS!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 It's been one year since I started animal anon! How exciting is that?! Phew, what a year we've had together! I mean what better way to start this second year than some chaos since that's how animal anon started to begin with! I will admit, it was slightly stressful coming up with something to meet the occasion of this event. I hope the countdown and this post live up to it. No, I'm not going to reveal myself just yet.. maybe that will be for year 2...😏😏. BUT I will give you some fun facts about me! So let's see; first, I'm from the Midwest (so not Canadian, but close so I do have a slight accent), but I currently live in the TriState area. Second, I am a MASSIVE theater nerd. No, seriously I have been to 21 shows since Broadway reopened in September and I'm actually going to my 22nd tonight. I don't know if this makes that fact better or worse, but I've really only been to about 12 different show because out of those 22, 10 of those are one specific show. Third, I am fluent in German and English. Though, I suck at writing in German, I never learned how to, so don't ask me to do that please. Fourth, my favorite color is red, so you can guess my favorite Taylor album (and coincidently also the show I've been to see 10 times on Broadway...). Fifth, I love to talk A LOT if you couldn't tell by the essays I send yall. And lastly, I can also confirm I am not Taylor...but I will say that I do share something very important with her... tell me your guesses down below as to what very important thing you think Taylor and I have in common, and I'll send some extra animals to whomever I see gets it right first!
So contuining on with my dissertation here, this week I have been trying to figure out a prompt to live up to this occasion. As I already mentioned, my system isn't perfect! Okay, maybe dangerous wasn't the best word to describe it lol didn't mean to make you apprehensive or anything. But yeah still stand by what I said. Some things best keep to yourself y'know? And I'm sure we all love you being so open about things, I reckon that's one of the reasons why people like talking to you and asking you questions! They can relate to you in all sort of different ways. And people in your life who know about astrology need to help you out girl lmao better than having an anon stranger on the internet explaining this to you hahaha (but I'm happy to do so! It's a special interest of mine).
Listen it really depends right, the whole compatability thing, cuz shit happens lmao but as a Sag the worst heartbreaks I've had were with virgos and capricorns and we were just "friends" or wtever the hell that was. And then I kinda broke my ex's heart and she was taurus (it was more of like disappointment than heartbreak cus I had commitment issues lol). So now I just avoid earth signs in general or anyone really bc of covid. However! I have to say I always find myself attracted to yall like a moth is attracted to light is kinda masochistic tbh. And the thing is we do get along so well (at first anyway) but in my personal experience something always goes to shit eventually.
But yeah ideally earth signs are most compatible with earth signs and water signs (cancer, scorpio and pisces), don't know if you feel more attracted to or more comfortable around these star signs, like have you noticed a pattern of people you're attracted to and their zodiac signs? Also the planets in your chart that influence you that way are your venus and Mars (and now I'm just dying to know what you've got on those haha), so please tell us the juicy stuff haha and if you don't mind or if you happen to know, tell us your houses on those placements too. Like my venus is in scorpio on the 10th house and my Mars is saggitarius on the 11th house which basically just means I'm annoyingly intense when it comes to relationships.
And yeah I'm fully recovered from my second dose (I got Moderna) but I did get my period and stubbed my toe so bad it drew blood and I almost passed out when I saw I was bleeding lmao (which is really embarrassing, I'm a horror fan for christs sake) but that's just my luck I guess. Honestly I’m so open about everything to the point of over sharing sometimes seriously my roommates boyfriend hates being around me because I overshare and get my roommate to do the same… I’m so glad I’m relatable in lots of different ways and love all the asks and messages I get seriously you guys are awesome and I’m so happy to answer pretty much anything!! Ahh that makes sense I’m sorry things always go wrong when you get with earth signs I really hope that changes one day since you’re so drawn to us!! Honestly I find myself really attracted to air signs and fire signs like the one water sign I was with it just ended so badly and was in general a very toxic relationship and I was glad to be out of it but I tend to gravitate to fire signs abs air signs!!

Awwh no I’m sorry all that happened and that you nearly passed out but I’m glad you’re recovered from your second dose I think we’ve only just started giving out the modern one in the UK ours was AstraZeneca or Pfizer… the Astra one was awful for me the first dose made me so ill I had flu like symptoms and the second dose made me feel like I’d been drugged I was so tired and out of it!! But on the plus side I didn’t get the bad side affects like the blood clots and stuff so I take that as a win haha 😂

Episode 16 and 17- “I'm trying to go from the girl who lived to the girl who won okay”-Autumn
On... the wrong side of the vote again, which sucks but as I have said before, Lily was definitely one of my biggest competitions in the game! I am SO SHOOK that I am sitting in the final four right now. Not to sound all cocky but I feel like I have a little bit of a chance! I feel like if I do make it I will get dragged by all of the jurors for playing a bit of a snake-y game but I think at the same time it has been a GOOD game. I've withheld information and told information all at the right times to make it this far anyway. If I want to make it to the final three I HAVE to win this immunity. Seriously, everything is riding on this because obviously Autumn and Chips are going to continue working together and Juls would be a FOOL to make it go to a firemaking challenge to give me a chance to stay in. I'm feeling VERY lonely right now without Lily to talk to but I'm going to push through and try to look on the bright side. THIS is what I wanted, like I needed her to go so I could push my way to the end but I just wasn't ready for it to happen yet! So, when I play Survivor I get fourth place very often... maybe I can break that trend by winning this immunity. FINGERS CROSSED!!

I just wrote my ROP and I am so emotional right now. I'm glad that I'm done and can just sleep and cry and not have to worry about any game related stuff until the challenge tomorrow. I feel like it will be some kind of endurance-y thing so time to get in some sleep, a nap tomorrow and work my ass off to get myself into the final three! I didn't realize how sad I was about Lily leaving until writing ROP, who knew this was going to hit me as bad as Dan and Owen going home did. If I do make it to the end I am AWFUL at answering questions on the spot so I'm not looking forward to that. I also can't handle getting dragged by the jury without like awkwardly laughing or crying so... if I do make it this will be fun.
Wow. So the vote was definitely A LOT. Lily lied all day and had a plan with Ruthie (trying to bring in Juls) to vote Autumn. I wanted to vote for Lily pretty much all day and then she pitches to me that voting Autumn makes sense because it would improve my odds of winning if I go to the end since Autumn and I share a lot of credit in the game. Of course I know that that is a lot of bull since there is nothing but immunity to stop Ruthie and Lily from voting me the following round. Then I'm kind of... stuck!!! Whatever move I make for the vote does not benefit ME. I either give power to the Hufflepuffs by keeping the two intact to plan to eliminate me or I give power to Autumn to turn around at final tribal and say that I've been her goat this whole time. I told Autumn before the vote that she has nothing to fear from me flipping on her and let her know exactly what Lily told me. I know that probably makes me seem cringe but I am an ally! I have played all of merge WITH Autumn and I honestly feel that if either she or I make FTC and win that WE have won. I don't really care if I'm given the title or she is because we have worked the votes and the players to get results that we needed and have taken pretty much every curveball thrown at us in stride. We have made it to final four without any advantages to play and I guarantee that if Autumn does not win immunity that I am going to let her go to fire making.
I still can't believe it honestly. Like I can because Gryffindor is THAT house but whew chile the emotions. Saving me is the key to my heart so if Juls and Chips ever need anything, they know who to call

I am so nervous about this challenge! I NEED to win this. I know I bombed the memory comp but I think I did pretty good on the creative part, I'm ROCKING this endurance challenge and I think I'm doing pretty good on the puzzle too. I! Have! A! Chance! If I end up not winning I'll be happy with myself for trying my hardest though. I'm so tired, I set a bunch of alarms on my phone so I could sleep and wake up to post for the challenge and while I did get sleep the waking up and going back to sleep thing took a toll on me, haha!

I am a GONER!! I am happy for Autumn though- she won it fair and square. I really don't have anything up my sleeve to try and stay except for maybe using the note power thing? I don't know what good it would do. I am both sad and happy at the same time. Maybe one of them will have a revelation and decide they want to get Juls or Chips out before FTC but I think my time here is gone. It has been fun and I can't wait to get a good nights sleep tonight, hehe.

Juls saying she has to think about things is key word for what I thought... I'm gone! It is okay though and I really don't blame her. She said some very sweet things to me though which means SO much but if I were in her position I'm not sure that I would take me either. I'm not sure that I would win but I did vote wrong many times and I formed close relationships with a lot of the jury members. It will be AMAZING if I stay but I've already kind of got it in my head that I'm going. I have NO IDEA who I will vote for. Autumn really brought it for that last challenge and I could really see her winning this whole thing- which is why I wanted her gone for a few rounds now! Chips has also played a great game and the fact that he's gotten out of being voted out says a lot about him too. As for Juls I also think that she played a great game. Kind of a low key game and I'm sure she is going to get some questions like... "WHAT DID YOU DO???" but I think she played a great game, won the chess immunity and could also take this whole thing home.
The immunity challenge was four parts! Woohoo? It was a lot! And if I"m being honest I don't know that I will ever again do a 24 hour challenge. I will probably just do it ONE TIME in the future. If I wanted to feel like I had a newborn again I would have another child. Autumn won immunity by the skin of her teeth (which is awesome because I was on the bottom end of third place) and so now I believe Ruthie is the final vote of the season. This will make it all Gryffindors going into the final tribal council. I don't know that Juls would vote me instead of Ruthie at this point, but if she does then I'm pretty sure we are going to enter into firemaking me versus Ruthie - since I'm pretty confident Ruthie will be voting me one last time before the season's voting rounds come to an end. It's exciting to probably be going into final tribal council and I'm going to do my best to talk myself up to the jury. I played the best game that I could play in the situation I was in at merge and I don't think it was necessarily a goat game - I just think that I am going in with a frontrunner in my duo partner as well as having done very little to differentiate myself from her to make myself shine. Going to have to dig in to past events and rounds to come up with something twistos twisty to stand out.
I don't have time to film a video rn now cause Akhmim boys are getting on my nerves lmao BUT yes I will give yall one more this weekend since I'm IMMUNE and I got time. I'm trying to go from the girl who lived to the girl who won okay
