Has a black dragons tattoo somewhere
Didn't get his scar from a fight but from him having a clumsy accident (he tells everyone it was a fight)
Actually heard about and looked up to the black dragons, when he met Wakasa, Takeomi and Benkei he thought they were going to happy to meet him too.
Dropped out of school, he didn't see any point in attending anymore.
Loves head pats
Sometimes gets a little jealous of Kakucho when he sees how close he is to Izana.
Never did find out the truth about Rindou playing around with him, still thinks he's very respectful towards him.
Doesn't like licking blood but likes the reactions from people when he does it.
Loves his mad dog nickname, brings it up often.
Visits Izana's grave often after he died.
Refuses to admit he has stomach issues, instead he insists he has an iron stomach.
Plays with the kids he works with A lot in the good timeline, will get on the floor to play horsey happily and even dresses up with the girls for tea parties.
Couldn't read the room when it came to South, he thought they were good friends.
If he loses a competition like arm wrestling then he'll say he went easy on them
Became good friends with Yamagishi in the good timeline. Yamagishi was excited to meet the 9th gen black dragons captain and Shion was excited to meet a "fan".
Was very unsure about joining kmg because of his history with Mikey but wanted to stay with the other S62 members
Is a very good driver, he spent a lot of time practising
He uses a knuckle duster because as a kid he was beaten up with one by a gang member, he then learnt to use them too in order to take revenge. Him beating that gang member and taking his knuckle dusters is what first got him known in the delinquent world.
Wants an actual dog (in the good timeline he does end up taking in a street dog. She's very small and fluffy and Shion babies her. She's nothing like a "mad dog")
Badly wants a romantic partner, loves the idea of dating someone and someone loving him with him loving them back.
Is the friend in the group chat to be constantly left on read
Got into a drinking contest with Rindou once, he ended up passing out.
Both his black dragons uniforms are hung up in his bedroom on display.
Likes watching movies a lot, when he does start dating someone he takes them on lots of movie dates.
Would also take his partner to festivals and spend ages playing the games to try and win them a plushie. He's not very good but he is persistant.
His phone wallpaper is a group picture of tenjiku

- What do you dislike about him? - His back. - You don't like his back? - The way he looks so lonely and bored from behind, that back is the worst part about him. So what if he looks handsome? He's carrying all his dejection on his back. I hate that it looks so stupid.

I love horrortale papyrus so much aghhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! Classic Papyrus always gave me the impression of being a bit of a nihilist, he is friends with flowey after all, and seems at least a bit more aware of the nature of the game (he memorizes and repeats lines, "THIS IS THE WORST ENDING", "I WOULD NEVER TAKE A VACATION FOR A NY REASON/THEY WENT ON VACATION", he can see from the player's perspective ex: the snow rearrenged to look like his face, his weird ability to see through the phone in phone calls, and more stuff like that, you all already know this).
Sans says he's been a bit sad lately, but it doesn't seem to really affect him, he just kinds of rolls with it and does his best.
That's why for me, Rust (Horror papyrus) killing is such a big deal.
As the years go by, he stretches more and more what he's willing to do. Because the reset will come, he's sure, so what does it matter if he kills some humans, they do need to eat now, and in the next reset they will be alive and well. It matters now, but it won't matter when the resets comes, so he should get to eat and have some fun now and then because eventually this will all be a bad fuzzy memory that won't let him sleep at night.
But now? Now he's determined to survive until it eventually resets.
Besides the whole murdering and eating humans is at least a little bit of petty revenge on Undyne. He wishes Toriel would have been the ruler, at least a bit. At least the terror he feels when he sees his former-friend keeps him going. The worry that he doesn't have more meat to feed everyone. The anger he feels when his brother refuses to eat anything.
Eventually Nightmare appears with an offer Rust can't resist. And while he was skeptical at first he eventually does accept to work for Nightmare once he realizes he's not liying about the whole taking them to the surface thing, the castle is gigantic, full of actual food, and beds, and electricity. And Rust is just expected to take care of it.
Both horrortale brothers arrive and immediately Horror passes out from lack of magic. They slowly start getting better, although Horror sleeps all the time.
This is practically a miracle for Rust but... He's so lonely in the castle.
Because really, hunger was the only thing that never went away or changed until now. Everyone he knew dead or twisted, his brother who he cannot bear to call Sans because since that wound he became someone else, Undyne... the only one to blame in his eyes.
Slowly, the fear turns into anger. It dawns on him that nothing will fix this, that the reset won't come, this is it. And without the hunger to distract him now, he can't stop thinking about revenge.
Of course Nightmare notices his anger, so he takes Rust back to his universe, for negativity of course. (Nightmare tells himself he's helping him because of that, and that is true if you ignore the fact he completely understands how this... silly mortal feels.)
Horror is bedridden, while in his universe the connection to his eye still lost under the remnants of the core was enough to keep him mostly normal, in a completely different universe that connection is weak and distant. They eventually find a way to keep him stable, but he's not happy when he finds out Rust is not staying at the castle with him.
Nightmare tells him he's working for him somewhere else, so for now Horror will have to take on the house chores Rust was supposed to do. He does let Horror write letters and make packages full of food, clothes and more random stuff. It does take a while for Horror to write something and not just furious scribbles.
Rust starts building a small resistance in Snowdin, and with actual resources to help everyone and convince almost everyone that obeys Undyne to help him. And now that he isn't scared, and with his brother universes away, he gets to Undyne.
They fight, Papyrus wins. But he doesn't kill her, he can't do it. He gets his arm ripped from him for that. But after defeating her and taking care of his arm he starts making renovations, he modifies Sans's blueprints for the core (For Rust, that was his last dying effort before he got betrayed by Undyne) and gets everyone to start working on it. At least is destroyed now, so after they find the "core" in the pieces they can start to rebuild faster. Food is not as abundant, but there aren't a lot of monsters anymore so what Rust gets from Nightmare (and the now slowly growing gang) is good enough.
Horror has no idea all of this is happening so he just tries to convince Nightmare to let his brother stay with them. Rust will eventually go back to the castle when he's sure the core is working again (and he finds Sans' eye).
Even without counting how furious Horror will be when Rust tells him everything, it seems most living in the castle won't take him being there too well.

Boothill's presentation being entirely on the twitter post makes me think he will be irrelevant in the story in the long(ish) run, and that the game itself won't dwell on him almost at all
#Kinda like Argenti but Argenti seemed to be part of a larger lore and worldbuilding#Boothill doesn't even give me that vibe#Cool design though. I do love revenge stories and western films so...#*sighs* I guess I may consider him if he's fun to play with and the story is interesting. I hope he takes Aventurine out of the grave#(Or do I? Emotionally I do. Rationally I think I may lean more towards 'keep Aventurine dead' tbh)#Imagine if his revenge is against the IPC in general and Aventurine in particular but when he gets there Aventurine is already dead#The enormous fail that would be hahaha#Automaton cowboy is such a good design though I would have liked it more had they taken the automaton way enhancing the clockwork thing#instead of the cyborg one with the futuristic air. What can I say I do love automatons and clockwork#and to me they're far superior aesthetically than cyborgs. Not into cyborgs and robots at all. Sorry Screwllum. Herta most beloved design#I wonder if his gameplay will revolve around some killing himself mechanic#I don't know what to say I do love those things gameplaywise. I love the risk they add and how they make one strategise a little more#Even beyond the story and the lore‚ Blade is still my fave character to use. So fun so flexible and ironically so reliable despite the risk#Abfksndk rambling#I am thinking of Aventurine and I'm thinking of Fu Xuan. I think I'll skip Robin unless they go dark-dark with her#but I'm still considering Sunday if they make him shady. I was looking forwards to Firefly but I've disliked her writing a lot#so for now she's a big skip. I wouldn't mind getting Topaz given I love the FUA mechanics and the SU#but I like other characters more and I don't like her design at all so I'll skip her too#Couldn't care less about IL (I have him in an alt account and I don't like him at all) so that's a big skip too#I like Screwllum but not enough for now. Hmmm I guess I could get one shielder since I do love them as characters#and then save until one character really convinces me. Boothill‚ Robin‚ Sunday hmmm I hope Sunday is shady and grey#I wonder if they'll bring Huaiyan. I would give a leg for Huaiyan. Yeah I've not moved on from the Xianzhou I love that place#and I adore Huaiyan and the Zhuming. I so hope we'll get to see that ship#I talk too much

The Star Wars prequels are fascinating movies, especially when looking at them from the perspective of the story they tell. They are a commentary on contemporary American politics, and show the fragility of the idea of democracy. The Republic has been primed to collapse for a while even by the first movie, being incapable of stopping the Trade Federation from blockading Naboo. You see throughout the films everyone come to realize the position the Republic is in, and everyone comes to a different conclusion on what to do.
Palpatine notices first, and arranges its downfall to fulfill his ambitions. The Jedi notice it, but would rather keep to the Status Quo than make any meaningful change. As Mace Windu says, they're keepers of the peace, they don't get involved until absolutely necessary and indeed, too late. Anakin sees it and decides that the system is broken and needs a strong authority to rule over the masses. Padme tries to enact change through the system, an endeavor doomed to fail from the beginning. Dooku decides the system can only be changed by uprooting it entirely, leading to his fall to the dark side and authoritarianism.
We see everyone become more and more accepting of these extremes as well. Ideas and concepts that would once be scarcely entertained become frighteningly close to reality, such as the Jedi suggesting that they forcibly remove Palpatine from office and set up their own provisional government effectively. Of course this culminates in the establishment of The Empire, and as Padme says, democracy dies with thunderous applause.
The best part is that by the end of the second film, the Republic and Jedi have lost. The moment the Clones are accepted as the army of the Republic and the Jedi lead them, its over. An army of faceless drones, indoctrinated from birth, built solely to betray. The Clones only know loyalty to their nation and its commander, and will follow the will of said commander even if it goes against the ideals they are supposed to represent. Good soldiers follow orders after all.
Perhaps the most interesting part of the prequels is that they are terrible. These are not good films, the dialogue is atrocious, the quality of acting is all over the place, the pacing is strange, and the CGI is hideous. Revenge of the Sith comes close many times to being a good movie, but always just misses the mark. Somehow, these movies made a captivating story of a nation's and young man's slow fall to fascism, and managed to bury it under a mediocre romantic subplot and strange storytelling choices.
All that said, I love the prequels for what they try to say and what they could have been. These could have been generation defining films, easily surpassing the originals, but ended up a joke. They have a litany of problems (not even gonna touch on the... interesting accents) but under all that, there is an incredibly compelling story that is ever more relevant as time goes on.
