ghosts are made when a dead person has something they still want to do, a desire, before they can fully leave the world and that desire is mostly what makes them more attached to the human world and gods are the ones who have desires greater than what the human world can provide and that's why they think they're superior and far above the mortals and I love how beautifully this contrast is represented in this book cuz if I'm in tgcf world I would rather wanna reside in ghost city than in heaven
