So I'm very very tempted creating a discord server where people can share their fan work (in progress or completed), just chat with other fans and check in on each other. I do have concerns about it though, keeping it drama free, a safe place, and not getting overwhelmed with trying to run it...=/ I don't know. I suppose I could do a small server, so not a whole ton of people, but I'm not sure if that would work either. -headdesk-

Another thing is, would anyone actually be interested? I know I'd be setting it up mainly for SWTOR fan stuff, but I'd be perfectly fine with a few channels for other games. idk.

YES!!! The three spirits still exist I love them very much. In my AU I like to imagine they kind of watch over Scrooge/act as guides to ensure that he's still keeping on the right path and doing the right things. My Scrooge interp really likes to help other people so he'll need as much of their help as he can get. They're able to give him some insider knowledge that nobody else can, but they're not around all of the time so Scrooge usually has to rely on his gut when he's without them! I also chose to ignore the fact that Present fucking. Died because I really like him.

Marley and Scrooge had a lot of apprehensions about their relationship when he was alive and struggled compromising so he died with a lot of regrets surrounding that. In my AU the spirits give him the option to move on after the events of the book but he chooses to remain with Scrooge until the end of his time on earth instead!

How do you feel about Gotham being cursed by barbathos? Like the backstory for why it’s all so messed up being ‘there’s a demon god trapped here influencing the entire city and making it so there will never not be rogues’.

Okay so here's the thing about Gotham there's a lot of different shit that's going against it and I love that like the whole city is so cursed for many different reasons like its also built ontop of a lazarus pit or Smth different beings have cursed it over the years its all great like even if someone was to deal with one of the things cursing Gotham that would only be one problem fixed

for real though, what's good about base 6? besides that its also called seximal, which is a little funny

i just like having highly divisible bases lol

being able to tell at a glance if a number is a multiple of 3 is nice, which i don't believe octal has the luxury of. i could talk about how seximal's superior to decimal, in that six has a higher percentage of factors below it than ten, or about how there are tricks for telling if numbers are a multiple of 2, 3, 4, 5, or 10 (6).

but honestly this is ignoring the multiple of numbers higher than six - y'know, 11 (seven), 12 (eight), 13 (nine), 14 (ten), 15 (eleven), 20 (dozen) that ppl generally make fun of base ten for being bad at.

So I've been working on a few projects, all connected to object shows, the first is for Inanimate insanity, where I'm trying to both train myself on drawing in the Inanimate insanity style but also giving myself a sort of reference on how I want thier extra features or slight tweaks to look for future artworks

and the second project I'm working on is a possible object show, I will most likely do it in the form of a comic on entirely separate blog, once I figure out all the basics of course

I already have the name a possible story and at least three characters figured out

The title is: Let's Break the Forth Wall and its about a once human girl, and her soul ends up getting transported to a parallel universe where objects replace humans, this girl, who's name you find out is actually Rose, is now a (in very bad condition) drawing tablet, the one to fix her body is Syringe, who Rose can't really tell if he belongs in this parallel universe or was once human like herself, now Syringe has an unfortunate "friend" that looks like a Lightbulb, but certainly doesn't act like it...

This isn't all of the story but just the beginning, now this won't be a competition like BFDI or inanimate insanity but something different that i don't really know what i want it to be

honest to god i think another reason why i enjoy the blood starved beast as a boss (and enemy later on) is not only due to her introduction but also from the way she looks, more notably her face-

most of the beasts in bloodborne you encounter, mainly the werewolves that i’ll be using as an example, have pretty noticeable canine features eg. the snouts

the reason why i’m adding this here as an example is also partly due to how the blood starved beast is around the same height as them as well as having similar move sets to them (jump and swipe attack mainly)

with this in mind, the way the blood starved beast’s face looks is eerily similar to that of a human’s skull, with the exception of her fangs and other anatomical features her face has (keep in mind i’m not an expert on skulls but i’m noting these here as examples on some of the more human features her face has)

 From this, it’s not unlikely that it could be suggested that even in transformation, a person’s skull could possibly remain the same if not becoming mutilated from transforming into a beast (however people like Vicar Amelia, Laurence and Ludwig might be exempt from this theory due to how drastically their faces have changed) such as the abhorrent beast and the beast patients as well

(hello here’s the example :] what a nice face)

with that said, there might also be the possibility that the blood starved beast might have been someone who was in the mid section of transforming, but was, well, skinned before she maybe could’ve completely transformed (this is up for interpretation though so keep that in mind) hence why her skull looks so human-like with once again, the exception of her fangs and other stuff

some other notes that further go kinda a bit more in detail regarding some of her facial features-

this post and some of it’s theories for now might be a bit rusty or interpreted, but after looking at her design again i can’t help but be intrigued by how her face looks and how it might hint at other things regarding the beast transformations in bloodborne :]

Foo Thoughts - let's talk about Shifty's (old) song An Atheists Prayer

Chris's first Dead Peasants album was on my playlist a lot last year while I was deep in my Taylor feels (I say "was" like I am not anymore, sad lol). It's kind of moodier than any of Chris's stuff since, three songs in particular got a lot of play "Not Going Down Alone" which I have been convinced for years is about the Foo Fighters, "Death March" which fully made me cry a few times because it's so sweet and this one, "An Atheist's Prayer" which seems to be about wanting to help someone who is struggling but not being able to. For obvious reasons, that one hit different, despite being written in 2009ish and clearly being about a different situation. However, one night I was listening to it and something occurred to me that I had never considered before. What if it is actually about Taylor? specifically the London incident in 2001.

First, these are the lyrics (they are wrong in a few very key places anywhere I've seen them online)

⫮ this is the only line i am not 100% sure on but the last part is definitely "for me" and not "for free" as it is written on lyric sites

I'll point out that these are sadly pretty universally applicable and still just as poignant even if I'm way off. And also lyrics aren't necessarily about just one thing. I also don't mean this post to imply that I think that OD was T's COD, I really don't think it was, and this reading is independent of that. That said, lets see why this song might actually be inspired by Taylor.

The reason I had never made the connection before, is the last few lines (I wish I knew you better...) make it sound like the subject died. Which I had never really thought had tracked with other parts that were kind of hopeful. Or the "to get through to you and me" part. Much lesser so, the fact that he thought he might have not known them that well but was still affected enough to write the song.

But "I wish I knew you better" could also be in general (he still does wish that) OR in hindsight "I wish I knew you better [like I do now]". And I actually think this read makes the song hang together better.

It's not as talked about as much, because he was fortunate to avoid any sort of public incident like Taylor and flew more under the radar in the band in general - but young Chris, by his own admission, by early band interviews after he joined, and if a lot of his more recent song lyrics are anything to go by, loved to party. He seems like he tried all the drugs. He and Taylor were the younger guys and seemed to not show as much restraint as, say, Dave and Nate. They were both fans of the sex, drugs and rock'n'roll era of music and that lifestyle in a way that the others weren't. They were also both the only ones sober in more recent years. Even if they weren't super close (and I don't think they were, though I do think Nate, Chris and Taylor were closer then they get credit for, just from working together a long time and IMO doing most of the heavy lifting live) that (being sober in Dave Grohl's band) has to foster some sort of kinship/understanding.

It also makes sense, as the whole song is pretty much addressed to "you" and "our", which makes more sense if "you" is still around. I have always seen Taylor's OD as a wake up call for the whole band as young men. Dave has even said as much (it made him reach out to Jordyn). Additionally, I think, apart from Taylor, Chris probably needed it the most. And it seems like it worked, because it's when they all started settling down. Chris in particular seems like he was married/had his first kid by the end of 2003 or 2004 at the latest (his oldest started college in September 2022) after being flagged as the hardest partier in several early interviews.

All that to say, even if they weren't super, super, close, that would have have still be a very important milestone in his life. "I wish I would have been there" also kind of has the vibe of an AA mantra.

Regardless of the actual circumstances of the song can we talk about this devastating in hindsight line:

"How many times was the gun to our head, but we never came up dead"
