#kagoodles#trainer kris#trainer ethan#trainer lyra#rival silver#green background bc I’m a spinach head lately. and a mustard green enjoyer bc i had some good potstickers that had it in the filling#kris to me should be a little cartoonishly malleable. a smiling smirker. like >:]#i also think ethan has a little unevolved natu on his team. purely for the “you can evolve when you feel like it buddy” vibe#been considering what to make team wise for the joh's but a fun idea i've got brewing is that lyra and silver Both have chikoritas#i know he canonically has a totodile but i have a fun workaround for the future that i'm workshopping a lil#when getting starters silver thought he stole the only chikorita in the lab. then when lyra comes in elm gives her a Shiny chikorita#12 year old absolutely devastated hammering fist on the floor mad but he gets over it (but maybe still a Little salty)#learns to mellow out a bit with his potato dino over time and the evolutions for both of their meganiums have different flowers/colors/type#i know i've been out the whole month i've been unfortunately stuck in the post midpoint of the sem where the workload is Crazy#been prepping works for an art show at my college And getting projects done for deadlines and it is. a Toll#but I will get One illustration done. i've been planning out lyra's dress for a piece and the second to last pic is the test for it

one of my highly specific headcanons is that Steve’s lasting memory of Eddie in high school was in the drama club’s production of west side story & how Eddie had the audience in stitches with his performance of “gee officer krupke.” Steve brings it up as a distraction before the battle & Eddie laughs all delighted cause 1) Steve remembered & 2) his characterisation as being part of the Jets was HUGELY inspired by how “King Steve” swaggered about the school like, come on, these lyrics:

and I don’t know, I just think there’s something in Steve realising that even way back then someone was getting very close to the fact that some of the “King Steve” stuff was a performance, even if Eddie was kinda taking the piss out of him at the time. There’s something to be said about there being a freedom in not taking yourself so seriously, that I don’t think Steve has really been given? & the idea that Eddie even subconsciously understood where Steve was coming from—like “the freak” & “the king” personas as two sides of the same coin.
And well, no-one has time to get into all of that when they’re planning to save the world. But maybe it doesn’t need to be said—maybe they both understand when Eddie is humming west side story songs in the RV with a cheeky smirk, and Steve is rolling his eyes but laughing despite himself. Maybe that’s enough.

the way mainstream media, politicians and diplomats are all advocating for the collective punishment of Palestinians in Gaza, supporting indiscriminate violence (60% of those killed in Gaza have been women and children via MiddleEastEye), endorsing these WAR CRIMES that are being committed by Israel without a second thought is abhorrent and should be condemned globally. it makes me sick that no one seems to be outraged by the direct use of genocidal language / action and is instead reframing it as “self-defence”

How can you "stand with israel" when Israel's winning condition of this "conflict" is the eradication of the native population?
I reblogged a single post about children pleading for their lives that’s not standing with shit. Posting isn’t fuck activism and I’m sick of pretending like it is. Have you called your representatives, have you been voting with Israel in mind for past elections? If you’re an American Christian and you give money to your church you’re most likely standing with Israel more than I am. Christian tourism to Israel is one of the most lucrative travel industry on the planet and it’s mostly“non profit” through church donations. It directly benefits American evangelicals for Israel to exist. If you really believe in a free Palestine kill yourself in front of a pastor. Y’all are so ready to say all deaths are justified for anti colonialism. Better yet kill yourself on the steps of capital hill or drive to a reservation and do it there at least you’ll die with your white guilt satisfied. The win condition for western civilization is the eradication of indigenous people groups.
Yes colonialism is bad. Yes what has been happening in Palestine for decades is nothing short of genocide. But killing individual Israeli citizens is not the solution. Doing antisemitism online is not the solution. Posting on fucking tumblr dot com isn’t a solution. Extending basic empathy to children on both sides of the conflict is also not a solution but it feels a lot better than calling for mass death

Hello, im wehaveagathering from my main blog, im kind of obsessed with your hockey poetry edits and I think your blog is great! I guess I kind of have a dumb question, where do you find the images you use for your edits? Did you say Getty in your tags?? I’ve gotten into making icons recently (and i have ideas for poetry edits hrrrghhh) but it’s hard to find high res images. Thanks for your time and I hope you have a nice day :)
first of all thank you so much 🥹 and second that’s absolutely not a dumb question!! i do pull a lot of images from getty and i’ll also download pictures from sports articles (i got a lot of the hugheses pictures from online access articles, for example), or sometimes from instagram/facebook/twitter if an account is public. freely admitting that i am not technologically advanced? inclined? in the slightest here, but the image editing software that you use and how you import/export photos with it makes a difference in the quality of them as well!
if you haven’t seen them yet, i would also recommend checking out @simmyfrobby @national-hockey-lesbian @hauntedppgpaints @tapedsleeves @starscelly and @captainbradmarchand’s blogs just off the top of my head!!! they might know more places to get high res images and also i love their work 💕🫶

lily evans headcanons
- digs her nails into her hand when she’s anxious or frustrated and often has nail dents in her palms bc of it
- has a teddy bear in the shape of a blue fox petunia gave her when they were kids. her names juniper and lily still sleeps with her when she’s scared or missing her sister
- generally prefers savoury to sweet but her comfort food is chocolate chip cookies and it’s the only thing that can cheer her up sometimes
- blueprint for every burnt out gifted kid
- has GAD and gets panic attacks often
- when she was a kid, lily would practice doing magic by changing her and petunias appearance. lily always changed her hair and eyes a different colour (one week she’d have blue hair and gold eyes and the next she’d have pink hair and purple eyes) as a creative outlet and one day she changed her hair red and eyes green and she liked it so much she kept it. petunia didn’t want to look colourful, she wanted to look glamorous so she always asked lily to make her hair exactly like marilyn monroe’s and to have her blue eyes. even after they stopped being close, lily always dyed her hair red and petunia always dyed her hair blonde to remember this moment of their childhood (poc evans family!!!)

5. How do they comfort each other when they are sad?
Yazan is a big actions guy so if something is bothering her he’d want to take care of it and fix it immediately also kiki loves cuddles and cuddles she shall receive fjskakdjdk will literally do anything to make it better,, holding her, talking about it, dancing it out, ordering her favorite takeout (yazan talking about it is a mix him being sincere and dissing the shit out of the person/situation and I kinda love it djdjskdjdk) leaving kiki’s part for you because I wanna know 😌💗
17. Their ways of expressing their love.
We talked about yazan putting up the shelves that kiara got that have been sitting around since forever and that pretty much what it’s about 😂 he just does things for her, or does things so she doesn’t have to. Pre relationship or pre living together yazan would just go around her house and fix anything that needed fixing fjdksidjdk,, also a big part of why he doesn’t mind doing the chores. To put it shortly acts of service and quality time!

9. How open are they with their feelings?
I know why you’re asking this 😂💀 karima is…. Unfortunately still not the best at it at least in a serious vulnerable context and she bottles up a lot BUT she would sit down with him and be like “can I tell you something homie to homie 😔” and even then she tries to to keep it from getting too deep even when it comes to expressing love she’s not one to get Too sentimental but will let him know she cares about him. But this is mostly when they’re still in the beginning of their relationship (honestly it might take her 2+ years of being like that 💀) but I will say the first time she lets herself cry in front of him…………..

PLEASE 😭 valen’s is that he used to keep a pet rat as a kid, everybody refused to acknowledge it because it wasn’t actually a pet it was some rat he found lurking in their gardens and deemed it his bestie and would check up on it every day fssksjdjdj and when the rat died gideon was the one that buried and held a funeral for it 😔
Gideon’s most prominent memory has to be valen punching his dad in a room full of people loll bc not only was it incredibly humiliating and an act of love towards his bestie but it was also the first time anyone really stood up to this bully of a man and he just got wrecked by a teenager fjskaksjdj it was great seeing him hunched over w a bleeding nose until he made a comment about the company his son keeps and then it was both boys vs the guards trying to tear them off him fjdksksjskdn
15. Does their view of themselves differ from their partner’s view?
Sort of lol,, gideon struggles so much with his self image and thinks he’s broken and has nothing to offer or that letting ppl get to know him is essentially a burden on him and them so he just doesn’t make friends or meaningful relationships easily and valen over here just Fails to fathom it because to him gideon’s the most solid friend he’s ever had and literally nothing like all those things he says about himself and so he always makes it a point to let him know all the things he appreciates about him
Valen on the other hand thinks he’s the most interesting and amazing person anyone has the pleasure of knowing and that he’s worth it and because he’s set that expectation for himself any criticism from others or negative emotions from himself is shoved aside in favor of the facade and while gideon agrees he’s amazing and lowkey idolizes him lol he’s the only one actually capable of giving him a reality check that he’ll listen to and seeing him as just valen
