So I’ve seen a a lot of people still wondering if Rise of the TMNT can be saved.

There’s is a lot of hope, especially with the boom of fans joining the fandom after the movie dropped last year, people making more art on tumblr, twitter, tik tok, and so on. But also a a lot of doubt, especially after JJ Conway’s post on twitter.

BUT…I still think there is a chance…a GOOD chance. WITH ORIGINAL CAST AND CREW! Why?

We live in the internet. Information is more then easy to get out now thanks to social media. There is all kinds of ways to get the word out to people. Let’s abuse it. 😎

Fans have brought back shows before.

We need a MAJOR push through social media, more fans, more art, it’s up to us…and I think we can do it!

Fans convinced Netflix to bring Sense8 back for a finale

Fans convinced fox to bring back “Futurama” after it was cancelled in 1999.

Hey Arnold got the jungle movie thirteen years after the show was cancelled

Animaniacs got a 3 season revival 22 years after it stopped airing.

Brooklyn 99 was cancelled in 2018, and the fans convinced NBC to pick up the series.

Arrested Development was canceled after 3 seasons, but AFTER it was cancelled, it grew an audience and they made it come back!

Fans saved the original Star Trek in the 60s with letters.

They did it. Why can’t we?

So what can we do?

Well…

1. PETITIONS TO SAVE RISE that we can all sign…

2. Pester Nickelodeon and Netflix on social media (THE BIG ONE Y’ALL, THIS IS THE MOST DIRECT AND IMPORTANT)

Be polite, be non-toxic (don’t be rude or mean, the boys would not want that, and the Nick/Netflix won’t listen), but be LOUD, PASSIONATE, AND ANNOYING! Ask for DVDs of the show/movie, and then BUY THOSE DVDs!

MAKE SURE TO ASK FOR THE FULL ORIGINAL CAST AND CREW TO COME BACK, INCLUDING ANDY SARIANO AND ANT WARD.

Sample DM/Letter (but try to come up with your own. Too many repeats and they will ignore it)

“Dear Nickelodeon/Netflix/Viacom, I can’t tell you how much Rise means to me, and I really love that you put the show on air. But it was not fair that the show was cancelled before it got the chance to reach the audience it deserved, only because of a few bad reviews and a lack of advertising. The show is great, there’s tons of fans, tons of art, and people, including me, want so much more! Please bring it back! We want the original crew to come, Flying Bark, for the show to get it’s full second season restored, and it’s five season run like it was originally intended. People hated the 2012 TMNT when it came out, but it got it’s chance and now there are people that love it. Why can’t Rise of the TMNT have the same? It’s clear that the creators love their work and there’s a growing fan base for it. Rise just came out at the wrong time, but it deserves it chance to shine.”

No one paid attention when How to Train Your Dragon came out, but word of mouth and people saying it was good, made it the success it was. Let’s repeat history!

Anytime there is NEW RISE CONTENT on Nickelodeon’s YouTube channel, watch it, share, spread it.

Share this post on social media, across various sites, use the information here to spread awareness about how people can help and what they can do. Be relentless! (Like Leo in Lair Games)

Even though Rise is the first and only TMNT I have ever loved, I don’t believe in shaming other fans for looking forward to, or enjoying other TMNT series. Gatekeeping like that was what stopped Rise from (heh) Rising as high as it should have. All Rise fans are welcome, and all TMNT fans are welcome. Rise deserves to reach more fans, it deserves another season, and it does not need to knock down other TMNT series to do it. Show them your love and your need for more Rise, without making other TMNT fans feel unwelcome.

Share, spread the word, give it your best shot! A village can move MOUNTAINS! SO let’s do it.

When John got home, he found you in the kitchen.

Quiet music hummed through the speaker on your phone as you worked on serving two big plates of food like you had predicted his arrival. You greeted him with a grin as you gestured to the food in front of you on the island, proud of your work. Its fragrant aroma was mouth watering, almost to the point he found it difficult to think about anything other than eating. Your smile was contagious and John found himself chuckling as he approached the other side of the island.

"What's all this?" he asked.

"Dinner, of course," you replied.

John scoffed slightly at his rather poorly worded question and your cheeky response. "Alright, well what's the occasion?"

"No occasion," you said. "You've been at work all day, and I felt like cooking, so..." You paused to pick up one of the plates and held it out for him to take. "Dinner!"

In the last few months that you had been staying with him, you had cooked plenty of times, but never anything quite like that. A part of you felt a little guilty for not being able to show your appreciation as much as you wanted to, for taking you in and keeping a roof over your head, but more often than not he wouldn't allow it. There were few chores he would allow you to do as a guest in his home, and if you wanted to cook or clean for him, you often had to do it under his nose when he wasn't home.

And still, instead of telling you how you didn't have to do all that, how you didn't have to waste your evening cooking a lavish meal, he took it without complaint and allowed you to lead him into the living room. That evening was full of good food, a very expensive wine that you attempted to convince John not to open but he did anyway, and an old slasher film that was more humorous than it was unsettling.

Something was different about that night. Maybe it was the wine, or maybe it was something else, but you seemed to smile and laugh more than you had for the last few weeks. And you were beautiful. The way the dim glow of the TV illuminated your face as you took a sip of wine, the way you laughed and pointed at the screen when one of the characters died; you were perfect.

"Thank you. For taking care of me," you suddenly spoke up.

John had stared at you for so long he didn't even realize that the movie was over, but you didn't seem to mind his unwavering gaze. Yet he was a bit confused by your sudden comment. Maybe it was the alcohol, or maybe it was the truth, but he felt like he didn't deserve it.

"Your gratitude is wasted on someone like me," he muttered, eyes refusing to leave your face.

"What makes you say that?" you asked.

"I'm not a good man."

"I know."

While it wasn't the answer he expected, John was glad you knew that much about him at least. He gave you a breathy laugh as he looked down at the remaining wine left in his glass. The dark red liquid swirled around as he leaned forward to place it on the coffee table.

"How do you know?" he questioned, hoping you would indulge him.

"I've always known," you said as if it was obvious. "If you were a good man, you'd be dead by now. Good men don't live long in your line of work."

"So you've known I'm a bad man this whole time?"

The expression on your face contorted and it wasn't long before your hand rested on his arm. He didn't dare look down to where your fingers brushed against his skin because he feared you would retract if he did, like someone who didn't want to get bitten by a dog.

"You're not a bad man," you retorted as if the very thought had offended you.

"How do you know?" John challenged.

"Because you are kind."

In that moment, John swore he had always known you, and maybe he did. He had known you as the chief's daughter when he was a child. He had known you and your laughter as you sat next to him in maths as a teen. You had always been there, lingering in the back of his mind, finding him when he least expected it.

So when you leaned into him, he didn't stop you. And he didn't stop you when your hands rested on his chest, or when your lips pressed against his. In fact, he savored every moment of it. Your skin on his, your teeth sinking into his flesh; it all felt so familiar like your body was the only one he had ever held that way.

It all happened so fast he felt dizzy, but all John knew was that when he saw you laid out naked on his bed there was nothing in the world that would ever take you from him. He couldn't stop the way his lips were drawn to your chest where he kissed a gentle trail between your breasts and down to your navel. He couldn't stop the way his mouth latched onto your cunt like it was the only sustenance he would need for the rest of his life.

And it was the most love you had felt in your entire life. The way he gently pawed at your body not in greed, but because he needed you to be closer, to feel every inch of you. Every moan that left your lips was carefully fished for, and if one thing didn't work he would try another. as Craig of the Creek is coming to a close in the near future, i cant help but repeat again and again forever just how fantastic that show was and how i do wish it garnered more attention in tumblr's general cartoon fandom circle. it got little bursts of love when episodes about important topics came out, but it never saw it keep that love consistently- the whole show deserved that high praise.

CotC followed in the footsteps of Steven Universe and did more with that opening to representation and diversity!! this really showed how important SU was for cartoons. CotC has an incredibly diverse cast- in show and out of show. The writers/artists/storyboarders/etc themselves- poc, neurodivergent, and lgbt put their stories into these episodes by writing them into characters. cultures and experiences explored in ways i had never seen so frequently and so deeply in a kids show. i might have some bias but my internship on the show for a summer really let me see even more how that crew as a whole put their hearts into it, and how much that diversity is so important to any piece of art.

poc showing their home lives, unique experiences, and cultures. kids discovering their sexuality and being able to talk with older gays for advice! exploring the struggles and feeling with a kid who heavily implies having autism, genderfluid characters respected and unquestioned (and one being a literal creeksona of the nonbinary board artist Angel Lorenzana!), and overall the wide range of experiences children having with their parents, friends and overall life.

they are children, they write them will and are entertaining to everyone imo. when i saw the show has "serious" plot i mean that these writers care, they care a lot about making these characters mean something in the story, and that being for "kids" wont make them hold back on important messages, deeper feelings, and realistic actions. the world is shown through the lens of "playing pretend" to have those fantastical moments, but they pull back many times to show the reality. sometimes you make mistakes but you learn, you dont agree with your parents but you work it out, you make bad decisions and hurt your friends but you can grow. (in some ways i wonder if tumblr would devolve into old the SU thoughts of 'redemption' on these 10 year olds too and get mad about the 12 year old being redeemed for bullying so, maybe its ok it doesnt have a fandom that big lol). the shows core ideas bring a special kind of nostalgia- one part in the form of seeing myself in the world they made, but also getting to relive a feeling of childhood that maybe i didnt get.

i hope in the future people can discover this show. it was axed (along with its spinoff) in half by the execs. there were at least 7 more episodes ready to be made before they cut it. im so happy they ended up with 181 episodes and a movie, but it deserved to keep going. it got a good 5 years but it shouldve had more, it felt like a timeless show.

How did you get your start in animation and storyboarding?

Fanart! My hyperfixations kept me drawing and posting online since I was around 16. Later I dropped my Computer Science degree to study animation. After graduating, I worked as an In-between Animator, Key Animator, and Storyboard Artist. My fanart of a couple funny skeletons played a big role in getting hired.

What do you wish you knew when you first started out creating content that you know now?

It’s ok to make mistakes. All the flaws in a drawing make it look much more interesting. Also, it’s a lot more fun than spending ages perfecting one line.

Have you ever had an art block? If so, how did you overcome it?

I always get 3 different flavors of art block (that I remember):

Art block from perfectionism

Sometimes there’s this self-enforced pressure that what you make has to be of a certain standard. Gotta loosen up and forgive yourself for not meeting an imaginary quality. Do it for the fun of it. Instead of thinking’ needs to be better,’ think ‘eh good enough lol.’ It’s cool to strive for improvement! Just don’t do it to the point it becomes self-deprecating.

Art block from burnout

Art hibernation! It’s ok to take breaks. Not every waking moment needs to be productive. Treat yourself to something yummy, hang out with people you’re comfortable with, or pick up a new anime series. Take the time to get some well-deserved rest.

Art block while drawing as a full-time job

WELL DANG.

Switch your ‘drive.’ If you’re running off on passion or interest as a motivator for work, that’s great! I do too! But also, it’s finicky. Set up routines for when that high runs out. I have a ‘Do task’ mode where I play a song or a movie I already watched on loop in the background (sometimes for weeks on end). I don’t know why but it helps me concentrate. Last week, it was the movie Cars.

These are personal methods and may not work for everyone, but I hope it helps!

What are 3 things you can’t live without as a creator?

Music + Noise-canceling headphones + Big blanket = Comfort force field

What is a medium that you have always been intrigued by but would never use yourself?

Does blacksmithing count as a medium? I’d like to try it out at least once, though.

How do you want to evolve as a creator?

To connect with other creators more. Especially writers. They are so powerful.

So maaaanyy. At the top of my head, though: @northpen. I am obsessed with their vivid-imagery writing style, and immaculate characterizations. Their character banters always have me in a gigglefit. They have this fic I binged in one sitting and left me crying and empty in a good way.

Evening/Morning m'dears. Hopefully today was a bit easier! We got quite a few crumbs of bts / script info today and lots and lots of Rhys which certainly raised some people's spirits.

I just wanted to send a reminder out today that lovelies, you are so much more than what others think of you. You are so much more than what you think of yourself even most days. You are such an inspiration, and you've been doing a really amazing job, even if you've had bad days. I'm sure you're tired of hearing that, but that's too bad because I'm gonna keep saying it until you get it in your beautiful brain that you are doing great. So many things are going on, and everyday, bad or good, you are getting through them. If someone was unkind to you today, I'm so sorry, and I hope they haven't made you feel too down on yourself. If they did, just know, you are a force to be reckoned with. They can be spiteful and hateful, but you are a wonderful force that keeps on kicking ass.

*sobs in too busy to check tumblr yesterday*

Okay - I almost went back to that post and tagged you because you're so damn supportive and your comments always make me feel seen as a writer...but then I got 7 asks all within like 15 fifteen minutes and my brain got frazzled. SO, you're late but it's okay, you deserve it anyway.

"Trick or treat?"

"It's the first of November." Steve scoffed, backing away from the door so Eddie could step inside.

"Yeah....I'm late." He shrugged like 'what are you gonna do?' but then he huffed a laugh, "Or maybe I'm getting an early start for next year."

Rolling his eyes, Steve grabbed the almost empty bowl from the side table, "Well, all I've got left is the Mars Bars and a few Milky Ways."

Eddie stuffed his hands in his jacket pockets and tapped his sneaker on the tile of the entryway. His plan had been to do this last night, say 'trick or treat' and then offer himself up as the treat. To just...put himself out there. In a big way. Like he'd never been brave enough to do before. But he'd gotten almost all the way here and turned around - twice.

This was Steve. Steve Harrington. Nevermind the status and the money and the fancy car. This was Steve. The guy who'd dragged Eddie's lifeless body back through the gate and kept watch over him in the hospital to make sure the staff didn't 'accidentally' let him die. This was Steve. The guy who had been valiantly trying to make Eddie feel welcomed and less alone.

And Eddie was 99% sure that Steve has been hitting on him for months. He blushed around Eddie all the time for christsakes! But Eddie was such a fucking coward. He couldn't even bring himself to flirt back because that would mean exposing himself to the possibility of rejection.

Last night he'd dressed up like Danny Zuko from Grease because they'd watched it together on one of their weekly movies nights. Steve really loved that movie and had made many jokes - possibly flirtations - about 'summer lovin' and how he understood Sandy's turmoil about dating someone so different from who everyone thought she should date. It should have been a sure thing but Eddie had chickened out. Just like always.

Eddie blew his breath out long and slow, stared resolutely at the HHS on the leg of Steve's old basketball sweats. "What if...what if I wasn't asking? What if that was an offer?"

The HHS got closer as Steve stepped into Eddie's space, "You hiding candy in your pockets or were you offering something else?" Steve didn't touch, even though he was close enough to.

Eddie dragged his eyes up, meeting Steve's hopeful - thank god - ones and he just....said it, "Me? I'm offering me."

Steve grinned, biting his bottom lip and looking relieved. He stepped even closer, sliding his arms around Eddie's neck, resting their foreheads together, "Then...happy day after Halloween to me, I guess."

Like we all agree he's lon a super good journey of self-discovery after the end of the movie. And that's super healthy!!! He deserves to figure who he is as a person and not just an accessory 🥺 But in doing so, he becomes extremely compassionate towards other Barbies and Kens too! So just the idea of Ken running around, being the friendly neighbor type, doing errands and whatnot because he discovers he likes helping people, and maybe he even runs errands for the reader!! Like if the reader is super swamped with her profession (what ever it may be) and Ken starts getting her groceries, and he polished her car, and cleans up her home. Like REAL malewife material.

And perhaps that causes a really sweet bond to form, and that's why when she ends up getting sick, Ken is the one to swoop in. His job at beach can wait, for he has a very big task at hand: taking care of his favorite Barbie Girl ever and making sure she feels better in no time 🥺 bonus points if it's rare that anyone gets sick in Barbie Land, so he's super worried 😭

Sypnosis: After Stereotypical Barbie left Barbieland, Ken decided to figure out who he was. Helping people was one of his new favourite things, and when a certain Barbie falls sick, Ken drops everything to be there for her.

It took Ken some time to realise that he was enough, or ‘Kenough’, as he’d put it. After Barbie had left Barbieland, it took him a while to feel himself again. But with it came a lot of realisations. He realised that doing beach was a lot easier when his mind wasn’t focused on Barbie, and he was able to talk to people he wouldn’t usually notice. It was a nice change, Ken had to admit.

He also realised how much he enjoyed being around other Barbies and Kens, whether it would be at a big blowout party, or cheering on the Barbies as they played volleyball. Friendship was another fairly new thing to Ken. While he’d known everyone for almost his entire existence, he realised he never really knew them. Being able to understand and relate to his fellow Barbies and Kens was an experience he never thought he would have. Without his focus on Barbie, he found that being able to lend a hand to a friend was also another thing he was quite good at. And often, it came with a small reward, which always kept a smile on Ken’s face.

He’s constantly seen helping out his friends. Whether it be fixing Lawyer Barbie’s car, or helping another Ken’s beach, he always enjoyed being able to lend a hand to a friend. It was always left him with a bubbly feeling in his stomach, and a grin permanently stuck on his face. Who knew helping a friend would be so enjoyable?

He also enjoyed lending a hand to Chef Barbie. She had the sweetest smile, and after every task he helped her with, he would get a reward in the form of food. And company. Ken appreciated the company more than the food, not that he would ever admit this out loud to Barbie. Sure, the pastries were downright delicious, but nothing could replace the soft-sound laugh she let out at his jokes, or the look of anticipation on her face when he was telling her a story.

“Thanks Ken!” Barbie waved from the window of her Dreamhouse, watching as Ken held two bags of groceries out, undoubtedly for a new recipe she wanted to try out.

“It’s not a problem, Barbie. I’m happy to help.” A shy smile graced his lips as he placed the groceries down on her kitchen bench. He’d turned to leave, when the call from Barbie stopped him.

“Why don’t you stay here while I cook, I feel like I haven’t seen you in a while.”

Ken was suppressing a smile, “I don’t know, there might be some more people to help out.” It was a lie. There was no one else to help. Ken was going to stay regardless.

“Oh, sit you,” Barbie giggled, pulling out a chair, “You’ll be helping me by keeping me company. And being my taste tester, of course.”

Ken paused, as if to think about it, but the both of them knew he was going to stay. “Seeing as you really need me, it would be impolite for me to go now,” Ken explained, as he walked towards the pulled-out chair, completely mesmerised by Barbie as she started combining ingredients in a mixing bowl. A strong smell of chocolate filled the room, and Ken let out a soft hum of delight.

“Smells good?” Barbie turned around, smiling, and Ken nodded his head eagerly.

“Always does. What exactly are you making?”

Barbie hummed, turning back around to place the mixture onto a tray. “It’s a surprise, but it’s going to taste amazing, I promise.”

“I’m sure it will, I mean it already smells so good.” Ken stood up from his chair, making his way to the kitchen. “D’you want me to wash those dishes for you? Get it out of your way?”

“If you’d like to, that would be perfect. Thanks Ken!” Barbie beamed, sliding the dish into the oven.

“Woah! Barbie, I know I say this everytime, but this is most definitely the best thing you’ve made so far!” Ken said, in between bites of what Barbie had called a ‘Brownkie’, the perfect mix between a brownie and a cookie.

Barbie giggled, “Thanks Ken, I’m glad to know it tastes good. I’m going to bring it to Barbie’s blowout tonight, think they’d enjoy it?” Once a week, President Barbie would host a blowout with all the other Barbies. After some discussion, it was agreed that a party every night was too much, and only holding a party once a week allowed for more excitement.

“Oh they’d more than enjoy it, trust me!” Ken exclaimed. “I don’t know how you do it, everything you cook is always just perfect.”

Barbie shrugs. “Lots of practice.” She pauses, looking away before looking back at him. “Hey Ken?”

“Yeah?”

Barbie looked down at her hands, then looked back at him. “Do you think you’d wanna come to Barbie’s blowout with me?”

Ken’s eyes widened. Whatever he thought she was going to say, it most certainly wasn’t that. “I- uhh, yeah of course!” Identical grins appeared on their faces.

“So, I’ll see you there tonight?” Barbie asked, and Ken nodded vigorously.

“Thank you for the Brownkie, I gotta get ready, but I’ll see you there!”

As she was getting ready, Barbie could feel a small pounding in her head. It hurt. She was unsure what it was, she’d never felt something like that before. She shook her head, pushing it out of her mind. It was President Barbie’s blowout, she couldn’t be thinking of silly things like that.

She walked towards the kitchen, grabbing the platter of goodies she’d made earlier, including the Brownkies that Ken had enjoyed. The pounding had only gotten worse as she continued to get ready. She tried to ignore it, she really did, but the more she focused on ignoring the pain, it had just gotten worse. Barbie clutched her head as she walked, the platter precariously balanced on her free arm.

The sound of music filled her ears, but only made her head pain worse. What was this thing, and why did it have to come now? And why was the room spinning?

“Barbie!” She heard Ken call out, but she couldn’t quite place him. She felt… strange. She was almost positive she was standing still, but it felt like she’d was moving really fast. The lights hurt the pounding in her head, but the music had gotten quieter. She heard a faraway clang, and she looked to her arm, the tray of baked goods gone. Barbie could hear Ken calling her name, and she swore he was standing in front of her, but she couldn’t quite make it out.

“Ken?” she whispered, a chill spreading throughout her body. She felt someone touch her arms, but it was too late. Barbie had collapsed into Ken’s arms.

“Someone help!” Ken called out. He was stressed, which is something he should not be feeling. In fact, he was here for a stress free night with all the other Barbies and Kens, but of course, something like this had to happen.

Barbie’s eyes fluttered open, and Ken let out a gasp of relief.

“What happened?” her voice was soft.

“I-I’m not sure, you looked really funny, a-and I was in front of you and it was like you couldn’t see me and then you just fell.”

Doctor Barbie came around the corner, assessing Chef Barbie. “I’ve never seen anything like this before. But from what I’ve learnt, it should be nothing. Just take it easy for a few days, and you’ll be fine.” Ken grinned, feeling relieved.

“Let me take you home. I’ll take care of you for the next few days.”

“Ken, you don’t have to do that, I’ll be fine, don’t worry.” Barbie smiled gratefully.

“Are you joking? I’m worrying a lot! Doctor Barbie just said she hasn’t seen anything like this! Barbies don’t get sick! I’m staying with you, and you aren’t leaving your bed until you get better!”

“Ken, what about beach?” Barbie tilted her head. She knew how much he loved his job.

“Beach is the last thing on my mind right now, I need to make sure you’re okay.” Ken smiled as he stood up, holding Barbie in his arms.

“You know, I’m quite sure I’d be fine walking.” Barbie whispered, hiding her face in his neck out of embarrassment.

“Are you joking? I’m not taking that risk. Just relax, I’m taking care of you, and I’m sure you’ll be better in no time.”

I know, I know I'm a scratched record

But I'm dying to hear your thoughts on the Wakfu finale when you get to it!

I just finished watching it and it's uuh... hmm. I read people saying the finale was "satisfactory" but I am not fully on board with that sentiment.

Too much left unanswered, not enough wrapped up, too rushed to get to the end.

I know the Waven game is a continuation of sorts, it takes place decades after Wakfu's conclusion so that game might hold some answers or closure, buuuuttt... I'm not interested enough in the game to play and find out. I guess I've grown a bit tired of the whole cross-media info/lore some franchises love to do (like Blizzard and covering important info across the Warcraft games, books and short stories).

Wakfu season 4 obviously has an open ending, no matter that it is the final season, so who knows what might follow. I'm just a little saddened that the story picked up a little too late this season but the animation, particularly during action scenes, was pretty great... when not using the same static images of characters xDD They loved that a little too much but I understand the budget wasn't that big so I can't really fault Ankama for it.

Did I like this season? Mmmyyeeaaah, it's a mixed bag. Better than season 3 but not better than the first two seasons or even the OVA episodes. Glad it exists but I don't feel super satisfied with its conclusion.

HEAVY SPOILERS ahead, so be mindful but gonna share some thoughts:

Seeing Joris play a bigger part in the second half of the 4th season, and him vibing with Adamaï made me very giddy and happy. Love that for them, hope they become good friends. And thank fek neither of them died. RIP, Qilby, Armand and Brakmar (maybe?). The guys who needed to redeem themselves got their chance, at least.

Goddess Eliatrope was a big disappointment and an unlikeable character but I guess that was kind of the point...? Angry that she totally ignored Chibi and Grougal, like what the fuck even? Didn't even show a hint of acknowledgment towards them. What if they wanted to meet mom, huh?? And what even happened to Baltazar and Glip, who were in Emrub with the same kids that were asleep in Goddess Eliatrope's belly? What did she do with them?

But hey, at least my headcanon that the Sadida and Eliatropes will combine into a single kingdom/people (which I also wrote about in my Rebirth fic) actually happening was pretty satisfying x'D It even has Wakfu-infused trees, om nom nom.

A little frustrated with Necroworld (not the same Necroworld from the Transformers: Lost Light comics) because it's supposed to be a different planet in some other universe but it had dofus (dragon eggs) and races of the Twelve like Sadida, Sram and Sacrier. It was pretty confusing... Imo, it should have been something similar to The Upside Down (Stranger Things), or an alternate version of the world of Twelve rather than a completely separate place. But eh...

Why did nobody care about the state Inglorium was in, or that the Gods have disappeared? That bothered me so so so soooo much during the first two episodes; nobody non-Eliatrope or non-demigod cared that their God/Goddess was... well... gone. Aside from God Iop, where are they?? Hated the disinterest, hated the silence around it. Guess that's a mystery that will be unraveled in some other media.

Yugo grew tall and handsome and I'm not afraid to say it. Happy for him, though him suddenly growing so quickly was a bit silly. I figured there would be a time skip to justify his 'growth' that we saw in promotional images and teasers. Won't complain though, he deserved to finally be in a body that reflects his actual age, it took him long enough!

"Bootleg Alys" from the Dofus movie made a cameo in episode 11 which made me snerk. (I noticed a few more background characters from the movie that were re-used in episode 11.)

And that's all I have to say, at least here on Tumblr. It was quite a ride.

A big thanks Ankama and all the Kickbackers that made it possible; this show had its ups and downs over the past decade but it was enjoyable and loved. It still holds a special place in my heart and I will keep a tiny eye out for more Krozmos stuff in the future (like Welsh & Shedar, gimme!!).

A lot of Tumblr brain rot and insanity that we see, the poor media literacy, over zealous morality policing, the madness where we label someone a genocide apologist because they watch Steven Universe, all of this would go away if you all learned how to think DIALECTICALLY.

Dialectics is a philosophical framework that is a keystone to socialist political analysis but also necessary for, like, daily life. It is based on the facts that the world is:

1) in a constant state of change and evolution.

2) is made up of multiple moving parts that are in conflict and contradiction with one another.

This means that multiple things can be true at the same time. Things can be both good and bad at the same time. Things that are progressive in one time period can be regressive or reactionary later on.

In other words, dialectics acknowledges that the world is COMPLICATED which you think would be common sense but apparently is not.

So how would this solve Tumblr brain rot.

Take a movie that is frequently labeled as problematic. We'll use James Cameron's Avatar for our example. Tumblr brain rot tends to jump to extremes and you may see Tumblr users say things like: "every person who enjoyed that movie or rights fan fic about it must hate indigenous people, due to the fact that the movie has anti-indigenous stereotypes and tropes contained within it."

Let it be known that I am NOT defending James Cameron's Avatar, saying that it's a good movie, or that James Cameron deserves your money. However it is a big jump to go from "this movie has problematic elements" to "everyone who enjoyed the movie is an irredeemable racist who deserves to be cyber bullied."

Because multiple things can be true at the same time.

Avatar (blue ppl version) relies on anti-indigenous racist tropes and a white-savior story line. But also

1) the movie unapologetically celebrates anti-colonial resistance and the struggle for indigenous self determination. And people may like the movie for that reason.

2) people may like the movie for it's positive aspects that are not racist such as detailed world building or good visuals.

3) due to being exposed to a racist public school system and very large amounts of racist propaganda from the ruling class, the majority of working class Americans, through no fault of their own, fail to recognize racism in the media when they see it. It's our job on the left to educate them and we haven't always been good at that.

4) it's a dumb fucking movie and the fact that you care what type of movies people like shows that you are spending too much time consuming media instead of going outside and engaging in real activism. Hating on Avatar isn't going to do a damn thing to win the right of democratic national self determination for indigenous people.

To think dialectically is to recognize all of these things at the same time.

While I don't recall any actual examples of cyber bullying over Avatar (blue ppl), I'm using it as an example.

But I hope how you can see how dialectical thinking can lead you away from unproductive behavior (cyber bullying people who like bad movies) to useful behavior (educating people on indigenous issues, participation in real life indigenous - rights activism). And that is how you escape Tumblr brain rot.

hi, have you heard the rumor that apparently a leaker revealed that mappa permanently shelved ice adolescence? i've seen that someone made a petition for mappa to say something about the movie but honestly i really don't think that's going to do anything :( it kinda makes me wanna cry thinking about how or why the franchise ended up this way, it was HUGE and everyone was so excited for the movie and i just know mappa could still make tons of money if they'd ever release it. i'll never stop loving yuri on ice and its fandom but i just can't help but think it deserved so much better.

I have not seen it and I do not usually believe leaked info like that but it feels believable. We're already in the middle of the year. I really don't believe there's a production going on. My common sense tells me that if there were any type of production we would get some type of promotion; posters, merchandise, VA projects, etc. something major is going on/went on in production that's for sure. It's difficult to understand why such a money making IP would do radio silence like this, to the point hey can't even put together a short manga like in welcome to the madness, or do another Sanrio collab, CD drama? anime café? the fact that we're not getting even those says to me this is canned.

As to why the entirety of YOI seems to be canned and not just Iceado I seriously have no idea, I cannot understand this decision other than this is something to do with it's creators. It would be one thing if yoi ended and that was it, story was over, but to go as far as to say "see you next level" and announce a movie, it's fair to say they had plans for yoi beyond the original 12 eps. YOI was highly successful, best selling anime of 2017, best selling blue ray discs in 2018, bunch of awards, It trended #1 on Tumblr and twitter every Wednesday, when was the last time we've seen something like that happen with other anime? only the biggest of the biggest trend with every episode (aot, jjk, demon slayer, etc) and yoi was pulling those numbers. Hideki experienced severe burnout, people who worked closely to him left the production and the whole experience severely delayed the project (this is what I've found on my research) People thought the last EVA movie was canned as well, and this was purely on the basis of the creator because the numbers were there, so the fact that it's taken this long for new YOI content does not mean it's canned forever, but it does appear that the project is in indefinite hold. I, myself am finding peace with this. I've accepted that the project is on hold perhaps forever, perhaps not. But I'm trying to find closure however I can. I do hope we get some kind of announcement though, I do find it kinda impolite to leave the fans in the dark like this.
