The entries themselves cause harm on sight. By being publicly visible, they can therefore suddenly and unexpectedly cause harm to people who are susceptible without giving those people advance warning and the choice not to see them. Blocking tags is inneffective because Tumblr does not have enforcement of tags being standardized, or even present, meaning people who are susceptible cannot block everything that is dangerous to them.

That's a fair point, but I don't really see a way to warn for every potential trigger. I was under the assumption that someone opening the form was agreeing to potentially see a character they do not want to see. I am the 'Every Character Ever' poll blog, there is an understanding that there will be a wide range of characters from a wide range of medias.

On tumblr, you're also right that the tag system is not the best. I too have tags I block and still end up seeing things I'd rather not, but that has more to do with the fact that many people tag with several varieties of the same tag, making it difficult to cover everything. I use a very specific system of '"#character" "#media"', with no censoring the name of either thing. If someone wants me to tag something a particular way, I'm more than happy to oblige.

I understand that you're concerned about seeing something you don't want to, but respectfully, I don't really see what else I can do, apart from removing arbitrary characters, which I am not going to do. I've done my part to make this blog as accessible and easy to navigate as possible, but if you don't like it, you can block this blog and move on. I apologize that I'm not able to help curate your tumblr experience, but at a certain point, you need to understand that is just not how I do things here.

Do you have any advice for doing comics? Like do you plan them out before hand or let the story develop itself as you go?

I do mostly plan, but sometimes the scene changes as panels are drawn out! Personally i try to keep it loose but with a general idea of a start and finish, like, whats the main thing i want to get across-

My comics usually start with dialogue exchanges or a specific interaction (object or person), which i then branch out from- i try and thumbnail these ideas down asap, just really shitty sketches so i can move chop and change their positions as i see fit~

Lil behind the scenes of some of my recent ones with their crappy thumbs (which i admit sometimes have more charm then the finished but alas, we roll)

For longer comics i will write a script out eg.

H (awkwardly looking away): Sorry... i just, have a lot on my mind... and well.... in it A (a faked smile, monotone voice): Ha. Ha. funny.

For me, i do try and think about the scenes as if they were storyboards for a film rather than comics... (hence why most of my panels are just uninteresting long boxes) so i use a lot of cinematography approaches to the framing (close ups, establishing shots ect) The other main thing you're then going to want to think about is:

Leaving enough room for speech bubbles (i'm bad at this, but this is why we script beforehand)

Arranging your speech bubbles to lead the reader around your art

The first thing people will look at is the speech bubbles in a panel. While 'leading lines' are a great way to help guide you in the right direction to read, having the bubbles arranged in a way that leads the eye is also useful!

(this is from my upcoming story 'Be Gay Do Crime', this is however a scrapped version of the prologue which is currently being editted)

Pacing is also incredibly important! And i dont just mean the scene itself- but also the way the dialogue is presented! For example:

Breaking up the speech bubbles puts pauses between the sentence, spaces out the way a character speaks and gives them a bit more personality. (of course you don't have to break everything up into 2 word boxes, this is just an example)

the long answer is that i have *complicated* feelings about snowbaird. i find their dynamic to be one of the most fascinating and rich ones in the whole thg universe. however, i don’t ship them, and i have a hard time envisioning a scenario in which i would. maybe if my brain develops a super canon-divergent/AU situation, but i don’t think it’s likely just because when i think about them im not really thinking about their romantic chemistry, yk? also i am of the opinion that IF coryo had somehow become a decent person or whatever the person he’d be most romantically suited for is sejanus, not lucy gray. so in the rather unlikely scenario i were to write an AU/canon-divergent fic featuring coryo, it’d probably be about snowplinth and not snowbaird

I think she believes in soulmates, but to her it sounds like a threat. If you ask her if she and Nate are soulmates, she would think yes and say no. She doesn't like the idea of dooming Nate's soul to mourn hers for eternity (the way she watched her mother mourn for Rook). So she believes in the concept of soulmates, but she wouldn't wish it upon anyone she loves (especially not Nate). She prefers the idea that love is a choice, because that means (if anything happened to her), Nate would be able to move on and choose someone else. (But if love is a choice, why didn't her mother ever choose to love her? If love is a choice, why could she never love Bobby or anyone else before Nate?)

She spent so much of her childhood waiting to leave Wayhaven and go somewhere that people didn't know her, somewhere that people could love her. But when she went to school in the city, she felt like she got chewed up and spat out. Wayhaven is the only place she's felt at home, the place she can always come back to.

thanks ❤️ I truly reckon roman might be headed for some sort of hospitalisation? he's definitely filled the spot of kendall this season since kendall has taken on the roll of logan. I think (hope!!) these shots are of roman getting the help he needs somewhere.

like all the roys, I think he will get what he deserves but not what he wants, and what roman has always wanted is for his family to be together. but that's not going to happen when kendall ousts him and shiv one way or another.

something I've always felt very strongly about with roman is that he absolutely hates the ceo work and waystar. he likes winning at it, he likes it when he's good at it, occasionally he even likes the people, but the work itself he absolutely hates. but he's never got to really do anything else, partly because Logan probably never really let him and partly because roman loves his family and the family is the business. gilded cage shit, etc.

so with all that in mind, what I think will happen is that, however it's sliced between the board and kendall, roman will be outed from waystar. even if he isn't directly, the betrayal and division kendall is expecting roman to do to shiv is not something he's ever been capable of. but regardless of whether roman goes through with betraying shiv, Kendall will throw roman under the bus if it means getting the crown. either way, roman loses both his siblings which is the ultimate loss for him because they are his life. BUT what he wins is freedom from waystar, freedom from the cage he's been in his whole life.

now in the darkest version of this theory, I think it's possible roman tries to kill himself at the end. I've always said he has nothing without the world his father built and he's not exactly a person with a strong sense of self. maybe the last we see of Roman is him considering suicide or attempting it. I don't like this theory much honestly I think it's me projecting if I'm honest, but I can't fully rule it out given Roman's history of self-sabotage and what we saw him like last week.

in the lighter version of my projected ending, he just leaves waystar behind and we don't get to know who roman is after that. this kinda makes more sense to me because 1) kieran said he was really shocked to learn it was the last season which tells me he expected roman to continue beyond the episode so ie he's not dead and 2) the show is called succession and we've never been privvy to any of these people's lives outside of that central question. so it certainly won't start to show us at the end. he will leave, gain that freedom, but it will cost the togetherness he always wanted and then we cut to black. that's the ending I ultimately expect. the only other expectation I have is that I will miss him very much 🥺

tldr: Roman will win, but lose as all the sibs will. He will be freed from Waystar (the cage), made to walk away, but that freedom will cost roman his siblings, and the hope he's always held they could be together.

I keep finding new things in the 6x11 promo and I just realised that it seems like the "Who are you?" From Chim is because Buck has specifically gone to find him!

And thats just so!! Like in so many fanfics Chim is the one Buck goes to when he's trapped in a time loop or an alternate reality. Because Chim watches so many movies and will be the one who believes him and knows about all that stuff!! He'd pull out all the theories & film comparisons.

And it seems like the show canon agrees! Buck's gone to Chim, his brother in law for help, and then Chim just straight up doesn't know him 😭

How do you work with different characterization of Ray? Rayman 3 Ray is different to Rabbids Ray who’s different to Origins Ray. Came to me after thinking how Laserhawk Rayman carries himself different from any of the games, even before his whole mental breakdown/arc. Are they considered different facets of his personality? Different possibilities to his character? I apologize if the question is a bit invasive

hi there! not invasive at all, no worries! ^_^

this is an interesting question! to be honest, it's not something I consciously pay too much mind to. I think his character and personality just come very naturally to me depending on the iteration I'm portraying. primarily, that's sparks of hope ray with a bit of r3 mixed in there - they're my two favourite depictions of his character. I think I'll always leave a little smidgen of r3 in him no matter what I'm doing with him, 'cause that was my first proper exposure to his character, so everything for me is kind of drawn using that as a basis. x)

either way, though, I do my best to not stray too far away from how I personally view him as being depicted in canon - I don't like getting too carried away, though it is absolutely valid to do so; headcanons are wonderful and fun! but for me, personally, I don't wish to change much about him. I fell in love with the silly goober he's shown to be in canon.

and when I say the silly goober he's shown to be in canon, I mean in every canon - all iterations of him are more than perfect to me, no matter how different they may be (looking at you, laserhawk ray/ramon, LMAO).

I suppose I like the 'different possibilities to his character' approach - how he turns out different depending on the circumstances. but in the end, I think he has a few core personality traits that are never left out; he's kind at heart and just wants the best for everyone, no matter how wild of an edge he's got to go along with that.

I think the last thing I'll say about the Ahsoka Show Jedi discourse is that a lot of it is honestly miscommunication.

Like, when I say I'm not a fan of Sabine supposedly being force-sensitive/a Jedi, I don't mean she can't study or train under Ahsoka, or can't use a lightsaber, or can't become more attuned to the force, or that the force isn't within everyone and everything. I'm saying she isn't going to be able to move that damn cup!

But on the flipside, those who support Sabine being labeled as a Jedi don't necessarily mean they want her to drop her Mandalorian culture, or start using Jedi mind tricks all the time.

I think there's a lot of disagreement on what the term Jedi actually means. Which seems to be what the Ahsoka show might be asking. In a time where the Jedi Order is long dead, what does it mean to be a Jedi? And who knows, maybe there isn't just one answer to that question.

I cry every time I think about the Forgers choosing each other over and over again.

Initially, Anya wanted someone to take her out of the orphanage so she read Twilight’s mind and fulfill every criteria he needed. When she found out he was a spy, she was even more excited that her new Papa is a cool spy! Meanwhile, Yor just needed a one-time boyfriend for the party to put her brother’s mind at ease and Twilight just happened to say the right thing for her to take the initiative.

Anya and Yor both initially chose Twilight/Loid for their own purposes without having any deep connection to him.

However, this changed during these two important scenes. After being kidnapped and put in danger due to the nature of Twilight’s job, Anya saw a glimpse of the man underneath the masks. Same with Yor, his words at the party really resonated deeply with her. He understood what it was like to sacrifice yourself for the sake of others. Even without him knowing it, he saw the essence of who Yor Briar is.

The second time that Anya and Yor chose Twilight/Loid, it was because they saw something in him that they can related to. They (even Twilight) wanted to be accept for who they really are. Despite the circumstances of being a fake family and the lies, the Forgers are the closest thing that these three have where they feel like they are and can be accepted for who they are (if this makes sense).

The lies will unravel one day and they will have to confront them. It will be painful but I really believe they will overcome it because there’s no one else who will understand and accept them like each other.

So my initial response is like... Yes of course, this is a staple.

HOWEVER COMMA

This will be delving lightly into some backstory/ new canon things that I haven't posted yet.

So, Felix is a very angsty guy who harbors a lot of frustration and rage in his heart. He is fuled by spite, and is motivated by the situations where he might get to throw hands. This we know. He has ALSO been known to be a chronic over-user of his powers. He's got a pretty dang op superpower, and he likes to fight. It's a bad combination and he's gotten in FAIR amounts of trouble for being violent and unpredictable.

Circling back to the question, while I think Felix could get away with playfully pinning Charlie down, and he would have had absolutely no problem doing that to someone before he met Charlie, and he'd almost certainly have no problem still doing that to someone who wasn't Charlie... I think it would make him really uncomfortable to do that to her. BUT I also think that he's not good about thinking things through before he does them, so he would probably do it and then have a bit of a panic about it.

Charlie's influence on him has like, fundamentally changed parts of him. For the first time in his life he has a clean-slate with someone. She doesn't really know what he's done, she doesn't make him feel like he has to prove anything, and she doesn't look at him like he's a monstrous science experiment. He really wants to keep it that way.

I would say that until he met Charlie he would have said that he wasn't afraid of anything because he knows that no matter what he'll always be the strongest (ie the best) person in the room. But once they became friends, I do think that he became absolutely terrified of scaring her, of her learning about everything he's done and realizing that he's not a good person. Which also sort of puts Charlie on this like savior pedestal in his mind which is fun and lightly problematic I'd say.

... He's very morally gray and he's got a lot of stuff to work through. I think that's why I like him/ this dynamic so much.

hi! i had a question abt shifting. in loa now a lot of people are saying to manifest you should believe you have received and already are the person who has it. so for example, with shifting, to believe you have already shifted and are already in your dr. this is kind of hard to wrap my head around sometimes, so im curious abt your thoughts since you say that you affirm/know you will wake up there instead. but then isnt that putting your desire in the future??? idk haha im just confused

So manifesting is more about accepting that you are who you "want" to be or have what you "desire" to have. For example, if you want to be rich but you constantly think of yourself as poor, you're unconsciously manifesting that state of poorness rather than richness. So even if the physical reality shows the opposite, you should identify with the inner self that is rich, not with the "outer" self that's experiencing poorness. Does that make sense?

The physical reality reflects your inner reality. Whatever you identify with in your inner reality reflects in your 3D.

When people say that you should believe you already have your desire, they don't necessarily mean in the present or in the physical reality. They mean that you should accept that you are who you want to be or have what you want to have in imagination. Again, the 3D reflects the 4D, so accepting that you have your desires in the 4D means it will reflect in the physical reality.

When it comes to shifting and specifically affirming to wake up in a DR, don't think of it as an actual timeline. When I affirm/know that I'll wake up in my DR, I'm not thinking, "In the future, I will eventually get to my DR :)". What I'm thinking is, "I know for a fact that I will wake up in my DR". It's not about putting my desire in the future, it's about recognizing that I can shift whenever I want and that I'm simply choosing that it'll be while I'm asleep! I could also choose to already be there, or be there after I blink, or when I'm showering, or the next time I take a shit, or whenever the fuck. It's not about the actual time! Time doesn't exist! Accepting you have your desires = accepting that you can shift without worry.

i love your paravolley au!! i was wondering if you had any stories for how you decided to design the different characters? my friends and i love coming up with illness/disability headcanons for our favourite characters and sometimes it's based on things from canon but a lot of the time it more comes down to "i love this character and have this illness or use this aid so giving it to them makes me feel represented and happy" but since you are doing so many characters and going so detailed i was interested what that process is like.

I think for me, it’s pretty complicated?

I do understand the “I want representation for myself and my disability etc etc”, but I far more often focus on those that I rarely see to begin with, those that are stigmatized and often pushed aside due to this. I think this is my own way of “I relate to this experience, therefore I want to help people like me even if we aren’t exactly alike”, if that makes sense!

HISTORY LESSON: (I know a lot of disabled people know this, but for those that don’t!)

“Ugly laws” were laws made in the United states which allowed police and law enforcement to arrest and detain people with visible disabilities from the public. This forced disabled people (like me) to be confined to hospitals and homes. The last of the “Ugly Laws” were only gotten rid of in 1974, which is only about 40 years.

END OF HISTORY LESSON!

I think the ugly laws and being visibly disabled also plays a big role on how I personally view disabilities and why having visibly disabled characters, ones you can’t hide, are so important to me. I want those of us that are often shamed and forced to hide to see themselves and feel free. To not have the judgement of an able-bodied person (or those that may be laterally ableist and disabled) in the process of thinking of headcanons/etc.

I do A LOT of research, and I’ve had to do a lot of research for my own disorders and disabilities because of medical malpractice, medical neglect and medical trauma. I think the amount of time i’ve spent researching is just a bi-product of being disabled in itself!

So yeah, sometimes I’m a bit self indulgent with my head canons for certain characters and I give them aspects of mobility aids I have, but I also think it’s important to remember you don’t have to have the exact same disability as someone to still find common ground! We’re all human after all ❤️♿️

Haha no that's fine! The short answer is that I was digging deeper into their discography after hearing MOAC in late 2022, the long answer is that I had listened to them before but never knew the songs were theirs and then slowly things started to click.

A few coincidences happened – me stumbling into Ghost fic on Ao3 (funnily enough after reading Stardew Valley fic) and wondering about the character names, then seeing Papa for the first time of course and finally falling in love with MOAC after hearing it in reels and adding it to my playlists. I realized it was all the same band and I tried their whole discography and fell in love. Then I started reading about the lore and fell down the rabbit hole like Alice and straight into Ghost wonderland :D ♡

Let me do a quick timeline.

So, POYT 1 and POYT 2 take place in the span of two days. Day 1, he sleeps with her for the first time. Day 2, he marks her.

Then in POYT 3, it’s mentioned that immediately after he marks her, they spend a whole week just inside her room together (doing 😏😏) Then, they make their debut as a couple at their college lecture. Then there’s a mini time jump of like one more week. Then the Sharon confrontation happens and Steve moves omega into his house.

THEN there’s a one month time jump where everything is peaceful and Steve is kinda good and omega thinks he has changed (Top 10 moments before disaster RIP). Then Bucky murders Steve Jr and then Steve cheats. And when POYT 3 ends and she finds out she’s pregnant, they’ve officially been together about a month and a half.

Then POYT 4 starts immediately after, like the next day. And the whole being locked out and the bathtub scene happens. Then omega’s depressions lasts another 2ish weeks. So by the time all that is resolved and she tells Steve she’s pregnant, she’s about 2 months along. She doesn’t know that though, bc all she’s done is take a pregnancy test. But we know lmao. She doesn’t know how far along she is.
