Hi, I'm back again with a drawing today, and tomorrow? Probably nothing. This was really experimental this time, I fiddled around with Clip Studios vector function a lot and tried different shading techniques for stuff. No idea if it worked that well but I had fun.

im so sosry for ranting abour this again but auhgufhgh im making a ref sheet of my ocs for myself beacse EVERYTIME I DRAW THEM THEY LOOK SOOOSK DIFFERENT os i thoguht maybe this can help me memorize their faces but EVEN THO IM USING GUIDELINES THE SAME CHARACTER LOOKS LIKE DIFFERENT PEOPLE ITS JUST A HEAD TURN AROUND I CANT DO THIS I FEEL SO VIOLENT WHY IS MY ART STYLE HAVING AN IDENTITY CRISIS HOWWWWWWW DO I FIX THIS
#everytime when im drawing any of my ocs and someone mixes them up with another oc my heart shatters to 7463874693 pieces#that either means everyone i draw looks the same or the same oc i draw looks so different every time#at that point they just went with whoever they think is the closest#im having the hardest time making my sentences right now what is going on my talkşng abilites have went down to zero#no like also ive always struggled w same face syndrome without realising#all my art life i had ocs that looked exactly the same from an outsiders view but they looked sososooo different to me#like i just erased my ocs frrom existence when i was 12 cuz everyone mixed them up and it frustrated me so bad#and i look back at that era AND THEY REALLY ARE EXACTLY THE SAME I CANT TELL WHO IS WHO#AND THIS KEPT HAPPENING until i got into sims which pushed me to egt out of my comfort zone#this is why its very important to be obsessed with the ugliest character u can find ^_^(NERVOUS SUBJECT)#and now im scared i once again convinced myslef that my ocs look very different when they actually arent#ok maybe this is a transitional period from having a same face syndrome to being able depict different kinds of people#and im in between rn cuz since im nnot used to this i just cant draw the same face again#and everytime i draw it loks like a dfifferent stuyle whatfevrrrr whatevr#wow writing down your feelings really do work maybe i should get a journal#ramblings

He's from Mother 3!
BIG SPOILERS but it's revealed at the end of the game that he's the main protagonist's twin brother. As a villain he doesn't really have any personality (bc of brainwashing plot reasons) but in fanon he has a lot more depth lol. He's been one of my main comfort characters and favorite characters of all time for years now
He is my poor little meow meow, my beloved, my original blorbo, if you will
#IT'S WEIRD bc the fandom can never agree on Claus' hairstyle. Really his is up to interpretation#Which yeah. The way I draw his hair does not match up with canon at all LMAO#The thing about him is that because the game gives him zero personality#again the fans can interpret him however they want#Okay well that's not entirely true. As a CHILD he definitely had a personality but after the brainwashing there was nothing there#I've seen a lot of different takes on Claus while he's the Masked Man and I generally love all of them#I have a lot of emotions about him at all times actually. #lmfao believe me there was a lot more in btwn steps than these#i changed the pattern on the leg several times bcs i just had zero clue 😭#i always work on the face and hair first and forget i have everything else left....#the paper sketch is just to get a feel for what i wanna do#sometimes i can trace from a pic of the paper but my sense for proper proportions on paper is just nonexistent#paper sketching is a lot better for chibis#these steps arent really the full order#i just went back and took off different layers to try and represent it#cause i tend to just work in patches all over the drawing so i dont get too frustrated with it 😭#catie.rambling.txt#catie.art.

Closest to "oc" I do now at days are my gijinkas. And the few times I feel confident to share my own characters
