Just wanted to let you know that something I find absolutely delightful about your Bernard being a bat is that it fits with him being a picky eater, because a lot of the leaf-nosed fruit bats (like the nose shape you’ve given him) SPECIFICALLY specialize and sometimes almost Exclusively eat Figs. Just figs. Fig maniacs the lot of em. (Ofc not trying to assume on what specific bats you had in mind when designing him, I just wanted to share bcuz I thought it was cute :})
oh that DOES fit well! there are a lot of bats with leaf noses, so i didn't have one in particular in mind for my design of him, but i might lean into that for him-
also i feel like i should mention that, unlike Bernard, i DID have a particular bat species in mind for Santi!
the way i draw his nose is very much inspired by the hammer-headed bat bc i thought it would suit his shapes :D

and if you’re wondering about the colognes, they are very accurate to the descriptions given
hijikata’s is deep with slight notes of ginger: a pretty subtle smell but once you notice it it’s very apparent
tokugawa’s is EXTREMELY citrusy, sweet, and light: definitely feels like i just opened a bottle of tropicana with the slightest I’m Talking Microscropic hint of musk to prevent it from being too light
