God dude these two scenes and how roxie moves hurt my heart so so bad 🥹

it's like a mix of anger, feral, emotional breakdown, and complete sadness that just fucks me up soooo fucking bad.

it's like she's a pet who got abandoned by their owner but they see them again after years of sadness and depression of them being gone and leaving them like that and all that anger and sadness just manifest's into one bundle of emotion's towards them they cannot control.

I'm in the process of proofreading my Comte 7th bday event translation. However. I had to say it because reading the english version of the Impossible Choices event KILLED ME WHERE I SAT:

I will also never get over Vlad going AND MAKE IT STRAWBERRY at pretty much everything and Comte just "Can you be an adult. About anything. For like 3 minutes." Meanwhile I'm with MC where I just find it lowkey hilarious. Realizing now as I write about it that Comte, Vlad, and MC just feel like Comte and MC are the dad and mom humoring an overzealous child, and something about that is freaking uproarious to me. I was sitting there like "where have I heard/seen that tone in Comte before" and then it hit me like a ton of bricks (as if he doesn't run a whole house, don't look at me I'm a 🤡)

I find it all kinds of adorable that Comte's playful and silly only when he's alone with MC, makes it feel special in a way--like he's comfortable sharing because it's her. I also think it's cute because he often manages to find a way to spin it into something that ends up being fun/sweet/thoughtful towards MC, which is just delightful. I feel like when Vlad comes in he gets a lil grumpy and jealous and retreats into himself a bit, like his private time with MC was stolen 😚

I still chortle about the Honeymoon event where Vlad gave MC a bouquet of flowers to celebrate their wedding day, and the way it felt like Comte wanted to trash them 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 it was so unbelievably funny. Like it was so clear he didn't want to ruin MC's gift, you know, be mature and let her have this. But also. REEEEEEEE M Y MC 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I was gonna wait till the official chapter to screenshot this quote but I don't really like how Shonen Jump translated this quote...

SJ officially translated it as "Your death is a nuisance to every person who's ever known and loved you" which just makes it sound so... negative.

But in all seriousness, it's moments like this that truly remind me just how much one piece means to me.

Even if Oda doesn't intentionally write these morals into his story, it's moments like these that truly feel as if the characters are speaking to us.

Even if you think you're nothing but trouble to those around you, there will always be people who grieve for your loss.

Since pretty much everyone who's watched Spies Are Forever (myself included) enjoy seeing Curt and Joey act opposite each other in other works as well, and since the Hatchetfield productions give us a lot of different character combinations for them, I was curious which character combinations people find the most interesting. just finished debug mode's video on totk's story and OUGH they surmised my problem perfectly with the issue being more so the way of storytelling than the actual story. i mean i personally still wouldn't be the biggest fan because aside from zelda, tulin and riju i didn't find the characters to be all that compelling (even characters that i liked in botw got on my nerves this time around), but i would at least be more willing to accept it for what it is.

#bwark #i was gonna get super rambly with my critique but i've said my piece on this multiple times already #but yeah i like botw's story less so because of the story and more because i loved the champions #meanwhile with totk. they didn't even give the ancient sages FACES nevermind names or personalities #was gonna go into more into the secret ending and how it was kind of a joke for this exact reason but i don't wanna have to spoiler tag this #anyway the switch clicks' video also just got recommended to me so i'm watching that too ✌️
