Okay, so I just finished the new Murder Drones episode. I feel like I understand even less now. Someone please tell me I'm not alone in this feeling.
A long post, spoilers and my barely coherent thoughts about moments that stood out to me under the cut.
What exactly is JC Jensen in Spaaaace trying to accomplish with these experiments? Nori and the other Workers must have been suffering so much at their hands. One thing I found touching in an otherwise horrifying flashback was Yeva caring for Nori, even through the nightmare they were living.
---
It was sad to see Uzi being scared of N again.
---
Newfound respect for Doll, standing up to her own nightmare.
---
Tessa has been setting off my alarm bells since she first landed, but I wasn't expecting what she did to Doll or...whatever this is. Then again, this really isn't Tessa at all, is it?
---
I'm still thinking the Solver consumes planets and life, like Galactus from Marvel comic books. The flashback inflicted on N shows a world trying to fight back.
This next shot comes after the scene of V and J on the ground. Are these new Disassembly Drones we haven't met yet?
---
Nori meeting N...one of the first things she says is, "Hey, you look familiar." So the theory that N killed her before can't be dismissed yet. Even in this weird setting, it's adorable that, down to her literal core, Nori still loves Khan.
---
The fight with Solver Uzi moved too quickly for me to get a good screenshot (the animation in this episode was so good) but the way N broke it up, omg
(Little hearts and everything 💛💜)
---
This is the part that genuinely made me laugh in this confusing maze of horror.
And this is the part that made me want to cry, especially when he strokes her hair.
---
Uzi and N dangling over basically a hellmouth, and her loving him enough to sacrifice herself.
---
I feel like she must at least suspect something is on the other side, or this is the calmest fall-to-doom I have ever seen.
---
Here I think she's looking into the eye of the Solver itself, like the Eye of Sauron. Is she truly in outer space or is this a hallucination? I guess only the next episode will tell.
---
Shifting focus a little, I was really happy to see these guys again, especially Khan. I've been hoping that he'd take a more active role and fight for his daughter.
He actually built Uzi's rail gun😭
---
J remembers the rail gun. I love that shot of Lizzy and Thad. I hope the fan theories about them being siblings are true, they'd make a great brother and sister team.
---
In conclusion, this episode was a rollercoaster.
Still not entirely sure of what I just saw or how I feel about it, only that it can be summed up by this image
This one, too, actually
Thank you for reading this far.

Not gonna lie, while I do like episode 7, it also feels the most...rushed? Like, it reveals a LOT of stuff in its runtime. Cuz suddenly Nori's alive...but then she immediately isn't at the end.
And there's that whole thing with Uzi and N's reunion too. N just reveals that the thing was her mom, they scream, and then they hug for like...under a minute before getting to plot twists again.
I honestly kinda feel the same
while I genuinely love everything about this episode it felt so- fast???
like most do as the pacing in this show is not great but I really think they should’ve made the episode at least 30 minutes to convey the story a lot better

Watched episode 7 of Murder Drones
Favorite episode so far. XD Didn't think any would top Episode 4. Here's a link to it, cuz so far my thoughts are just I NEED EPISODE 8. I NEEDS IT. I NEEDS MY PRESCIOUSES. :3
oh, and I will share two (okay, way more than 2. XP) thoughts below but I'll put a read more. XD
Loved every second of this episode. Every second. XD
First, her mom's alive, holy shit. XD Love every second of her, she's amazing.
Second, TESSA DIED, WHAT THE FUCK??? DID NOT SEE THAT COMING.
Thirdly, HOLY FUCK THE SOLVER CAN TAKE OVER HUMAN CORPSES. XD At least we get to see what Tessa looked like, kinda.
Fourthly, I love love LOVE Uzi this episode. Hella sad that Doll died, but like... Who killed her? I tried to freeze frame and it looks like it could be one of two options. Either Uzi, which feels weird considering we cut to her still at the screens during that, or it was Tessa. And Tessa has just been... Solver'd this whole time??? XD this is supported by the fact her last line was basically what the Solver was saying to N. "The reason I keep you around." I'm confused but also hella interested. If Tessa was solver'd, why was she trying to kill Uzi? And more importantly, since we do know that was her goal (or at least supposedly her goal), why not just... Kill Uzi when she had the chance instead of waiting like she did?
Fifthly, I need answers on V. XD Like, what happened? Did the solver take her body from up above? If so, how'd get down below? And if not, is she still alive and we'll see her again next episode? I'm hoping for this last point. XD I'd like to think they wouldn't off-screen her.
Sixthly, the murder drones just ate all humanity??? Holy shit man.
Seventh, I kinda love that on this planet it kinda reveals the opening dialogue of the series is just... Wrong. Humans didn't destroy all life on the planet, the solver did.
Eighth, J vs Thad, Lizzie, and Khan. J vs Thad, Lizzie, and Khan. XD I NEEDS IT. I NEEDS IT NOW. Also, speaking of Khan, kinda love that he actually was just like "okay, my daughter is dating a murder drone and my wife's cooky conspiracy seems to be coming true, best go out together a weapon like my daughter was doing earlier." XD I do kinda love how he basically acted like he'd seen this before. Totally unimpressed by the gravitational shifts.
Ninth, favorite part of the episode? N and Nori vs Solver Uzi. XD I thought for sure it would be revealed that N killed Nori, but this was just as good. I loved it.
And finally, tenth: THE ANIMATION. it's so crisp. I love it so much. XD
I really hope they do a season 2 cuz this was amazing. XD

So, my sister let me know that the title has dropped…
And I’m sorry, but not only am I hyper fixated on Murder Drones but I’m also hyper fixated on Persona as well. So as soon as I saw the title, my mind immediately went to here:
