no because byler’s dynamic shift from s2 to s3 (and s4 too, but that’s another conversation entirely) is so realistic and heartbreaking.

it’s so evident that everything before s3 was just two boys who loved one another—mike didn’t think twice about holding will’s hand or throwing an arm around his shoulder or comforting him with kind words, because why would he? his best friend needed him, it was that simple.

and then s3 (whose underlying theme is puberty) comes around and suddenly there’s this pressure to act a certain way and to want certain things and wanting to hold your best friend’s hand can no longer be justified by the fact that you’re just kids who don’t understand the implications. suddenly it’s weird to be that kind and caring. suddenly your hormones are all over the place and you’re constantly angry and sad and scared and confused, and the dramatic change in mike’s behavior towards will reflects that entire experience so, so well.

kit's "i've never believed in anything my whole life. but i believe in you" moment was just SO GOOD because we've had proof, time and time again, that kit really doesn't believe in anything. she doesn't believe in magic or the idea of elora danan or that people care about her or that she'll ever matter as anything more than an idea and a princess. she doesn't even believe in herself.

but now, at this moment, kit believes in elora. kit knows they're the only two that believe in the fate of the quest and that they can still save airk. she can't let elora lose that hope.

so she goes up to her, tells her that she believes in her, because kit really, truly does believe in elora. not elora danan the symbol, but the girl named elora that she's gotten to know. believing in elora the person means believing in the fate of the quest. it means believing that they can save airk. it means jumping off the edge of that cliff and praying that they're right about the immemorial city.

the fact that kit is the only one that goes off that cliff with elora is proof that two of them are the only ones left who have any hope that this will work. and it just makes me feel things.

After The Moment, technology advanced. And after technology advanced, they sent people up to space to look for intelligent life. The first 8 people came back empty handed. So next, NASA decided to send a group of highly trained individuals to deep space, where no human had been before. Nine, Ten, and Juice were selected. It would take forever to get there, but since people seemed to live forever, that was no longer as issue. Ten, Nine, and Juice trained for years, unbelievably excited to make discoveries, endlessly happy to have a real purpose.

They all slept for years on that ship, being kept under by the ships systems. And when Ten and Juice woke up, they were in deep space. It had been thousands of years, and boy how things changed,

But Nine didn’t wake up.

And when they did, they couldn’t remember anything from before the launch.

I think one of my favourite things about Lucci as an antagonist is how devoid of lightheartedness he is. Other antagonists like Foxy, Enel, Moria and even Crocodile have some form of humour or gimmick to them, some way Luffy plays off them that can lead to comedic moments with them or at their expense.

Lucci has none of that. The entire arc, he is cold, detached and ruthless, and everything he says fits that. His fight with Luffy is just the two of them giving it everything they have while he tells Luffy to give up again and again.

Lucci, unlike many other characters in One Piece, has no goal or ambition of his own, and is simply a tool for the World Government (by his own admission) to use and this is reflected in how he acts, making him a very different kind of scary than the likes of Crocodile or Doflamingo.

I think the closest other comparison to him would be Katakuri, but even he has moments of levity and personality, such as the doughnuts and his protectiveness of his family.

With episode 5 We could see Jae won is at his breaking point. I'm ready when he truly breaks down, because it's going to really hurt.

We are slowly going into the point of view of Jae won. The only moment we have with Ji Hyun this episode was interrupted by Jae Won in some sort of way (the phone call is the perfect example). We are starting to see his true self.

And his true self is hurting. More and more everyday. The only thing that bringing him joy is hurting him too because, for him, this precious boys is going to abandon him, to leave him at some point. I'm sure he is preparing himself for this.

That's why Jae Won seems a little hesitant with Ji Hyun. He is not playing hard to get. He is not having trouble with Ji hyun being a boys. He is not having trouble with Ji hyun being a freshman. He is having trouble with the fact Ji hyun is not something permanent in his life. One day he is going to leave or reject him because that what everybody does. His dad treat him like shit. His friend treat him like shit. His ex-girlfriend never truly loves him because she cheated on him. So why Ji Hyun would be any different in his mind?

But he can help it. Because he has hope and faith in this precious boys. He wants to believe that he deserves this precious love. Because he sees he is not like everyone else. He sees the way he took care of him. He sees the way Ji Hyun can see behind his mask. He wants to let down his guard with Ji Hyun.

And that what happened in episode 6. He let Ji Hyun in. But at the end, Ji Hyun still ends up leaving him like everyone else. And it's hurting real bad this time
