If I had a nickel for every time an actor called Mark/Marc with a first official name beginning with P that nearly sounds the same and who both have starred in the same series together made a reference to himself in a show as though the character and actor were two separate people then I'd have two nickels - which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

My mom recommended a local butcher to me and I looked them up online and it looks like they have quite good prices and a good variety, including some types of meat that are pretty hard to come by in this area.

2012 and Rise TMNT Crossover Masterpost

I love it how in most crossover fanfics with one or the other iterations of the TMNT and ROTTMNT the main cause of the whole ‘crossing universes’ usually almost always leads back to Rise Donnie messing with portal/Multiverse technology.

Because admit it if anyone could and would break the Multiverse it would be Rise Donnie.

Like whenever I come across a new fic I can just imagine him turning on a gigantic machine that’s glowing and sparking and all his brothers terrified behind him while he’s just:

“IT’S EITHER I BREAK SCIENCE OR SCIENCE BREAKS ME, AND DAD DIDN’T RAISE A LITTLE BITCH!”

And then he just screws everyone over and breaks the multiverse.

Knowing Kevin begged Riko to be a history major with him, I bet classes were hell for him (riko) after Kevin left.

Futility and Revenge

I know I already made a post poking fun at Lang Qianqiu for it, but man, his challenge to Xie Lian really is just emblematic of MXTX’s stance on revenge.

If Lang Qianqiu and Xie Lian had fought, if Xie Lian had let Lang Qianqiu kill him, do you think he would have been satisfied? No. He wouldn't even have the peace of mind he did when he entombed Guoshi Fangxin and thought him dead. Lang Qianqiu could kill Xie Lian, but he would just come back. No matter how many times he killed him, it would never satisfy him. How could it? None of those deaths would mean anything. What does killing Xie Lian over and over again achieve? It probably would have driven Lang Qianqiu mad. Under these circumstances, by his own words, (if I die, it's fine), the only possible outcome he could truly be satisfied by is if Xie Lian kills him. He would rather die saying he sought vengeance for his family than recognize the futility of his struggle and live. He would die angry and frustrated, but able to tell himself that at least he did something. And it would be so, so fucking pointless.

I suppose the difference between Xie Lian and Lang Qianqiu is that Xie Lian knows that just because you can do something, doesn't always mean you should.

every other poster on the tube right now is advertising a new musical called ‘the time traveller’s wife’. for a blissful moment i forgot that a ‘wife’ is something that a heterosexual woman can be, and, believing it to be a beautiful lesbian tale akin to tihylttw, decided to google the synopsis to see if it was worth checking out. big mistake. ‘man first encounters his future spouse as a young girl, returns to kiss her at 18 and marry her in the future, remaining the same age as barely any time passes for him meanwhile she spends years alone pining for her distant angel’ blinks. what does that remind me of. oh yeah apparently this came before. i’m already suffering through series 5 at the current moment, so, plenty enough of that for years to come, thank you, and— what a surprise— the novel the musical’s based on was a primary inspiration for you-know-who’s weird fixation on this particular plotline. the worst part about the time traveller’s wife is that there aren’t even any cool steampunk clockwork droids or gorgeous 18th century french dresses to make up for the vomit-inducing implications. i have never been more disappointed. mind wipe, now

Did anyone see if Ballister had that face scar when he was a little kid? Cause if he didn't, that meant he got it while training to be a knight, and I can only imagine so many scenarios of how that probably went down...

Me: damn I don't like how flashpoint beyond and the new golden age reintroduced the time masters, nothing about them makes sense and jeff and bonnie's characters have been minimized in a way that's really gross, i hope this doesn't stick but just re-ignites an interest in the team
