I do stand by my fic & comic recs and encourage anyone who hasn't explored them to give them a try, though! sometimes it's fun to watch somebody else take control of my barbies for a little while y'know? plus they're super fun and feature a variety of takes on the characters while (imo) not betraying the core of the dynamic

as for my specific flavour of spideypool, I've been wanting to make another little one-off comic with the boys but just don't know what situation to throw them into atm—so if you have any inspo and wanna see more of my portrayal, lmk! maybe there'll be more of that soon

ok so ive been thinking more abt my version of spideypool after that ask and i have to make a post about it cos ofc i do.

so i imagine my ship as andrews spidey and ryans wade. after pete loses gwen and wade loses vanessa they both kind of give up on finding love, as its almost impossible to balance a romance and their vigilante lives. i imagine they meet when both are out on the town in the suits and do not hit it off very well

wade is his normal annoying asshole self and peter is just thinking “who tf is this dick and how do i get rid of him” ok so they fight yada yada lots of homo eroticism yada yada and they just keep running into each other after that

after a while peter starts to not mind wades presence and even starts to look forward to seeing him and his stupid jokes and stupid big muscles

they become friends and wade has had feelings for spidey for a while and tries to be better for him (by quitting the merc business and helping ppl)

and then they fall in love and have a million spiderpool babies. the end

we need to see more non dp spidey pairings

Speaking of which, To All the Vigilantes I've Loved Before is a TATBILB au and it's so goddamn good fuck I love that movie (I also read the books - way before the movie came out btw - but they're not as good as the movie fight me)

Bloom is a soulmate au of a kind I'd never actually heard of before but apparently is an established thing because when I told @random-fandork about it they just said they really loved that type of au. Anyway if you gain a scar, your soulmate ends up with flowers on their skin. This au is angsty af - the way I like my soulmate aus tbh

Three Little Words is a non-linear fic about Tim not saying "I love you" to Kon despite settling down and even having a kid with him for a very long time. I'm a fucking fool for non-linear storytelling so naturally I love this one

There's a Superhero in my Bedroom is a fake dating au occurring during the period where Tim quit being Robin. I also recommended another fic taking place during this period in my last Tim rec post, and I have at least one more bookmarked. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, it's a bit of a dramatic time during Tim's life lmao

Finally, Guess I'm A Bad Liar is an au where Tim as Robin is a secret and Kon goes undercover in Tim's school to spy on him cause he's a weirdo I guess but also for legit reasons

Peter is a bored aristocrat in ancient Rome, with a long life of opulence and politics ahead of him. One day, he hears some buzz about a gladiator, and watches this man beat impossible odds in the ring. He's not usually into sports but this guy is really something. Infatuated, he orders the man back to his rooms and has a hot bath and a huge meal waiting.

After they build some trust (and spend a few steamy nights together) Wade tells him about the blessing he received from... insert cool mythical creature or deity here. And the plot he has to get back at the man who killed his wife and child.

Spideypool Gladiator AU

Hello! I'll be taking a break from doing the comic for a while. I've lost quite a lot of motivation for it currently and I feel like rushing to do the panels without a clear idea of what I want with the comic isn't really working out.. 😭😭

I'll be focusing more on just drawing things for fun for a while. However I feel it'd be wrong to leave anyone who is curious about the comic hanging like this so I'm just leaving the quick plan for the next panel here so you can have a bit of an idea where I'm going with it.

Any and all questions related to the comic are still welcome of course! I'd be more than happy to answer stuff but for the moment being I won't work on the panels.

2. Is there a trope you’ve yet to try your hand at, but really want to?

I have an absolute weakness for barbarian/arranged marriage type of stories. (it's the enemies to friends to lovers of it all) I've never written one because they really are such a commitment, but I think it would be pretty fun if I ever found the right idea.

10. Which fic has been the easiest to write?

it took me exactly two hours to write atlas and I did maybe like thirty minutes of editing on it after, so probably that one.

33. How do you feel about crack?

I have conflicting feelings that boil down to "it's wonderful, it's stupid, I'll never write it, I try not to read it, but when I read something that's super good it usually sticks with me"

38. Talk about a review that made your day.

I actually recently got a love-punch review that really stuck with me. I haven't been responding to any comments on it because I just don't have passion for it as a project right now and try to only engage with my work when I'm "on" so to speak, but this person just really connected with the themes of the story in a way that reminded me of why I liked writing it. I also liked how they were able to explain how much they wanted to read more, but that they appreciated how much work went into putting what was already there out. It was just very respectful, very kind, and insightful in the exact type of way I, personally, as a writer hunger for when it comes to comments.

I also always love reviews that make me laugh out loud. I think there's just something about a funny review that's so joy inducing.

I am begging Marvel to give us a Johnny Storm that is of the same age as Tom Holland's Peter Parker. It's all I want at the moment from them really.

And yes it's from a very biased Spideytorch shipping motive but also Peter deserves a superhero friend like Torch.
