Hey other autistic (and otherwise neurodivergent) peeps, I need to share this tip with you.

If you are (same as me) always searching for new comfort objects or things that make daily life less harsh, try and look in the baby section.

Baby stuff is made to be gentle, to be safe, and (usually) to calm them down. I always skipped it since I haven't been a baby for a very long time and also hope to not have a baby for a very long time, but I have found now multiple items there that helped me with my sensory issues.

I recently found a starprojector there, which gives off the perfect amount of light if I am overstimulated. (And has pretty stars!) I now use it every night as a night light before I go to sleep, and I love it so so much. And I bought the softest plushie, like super super super soft, who has been my comfort in quite a stressful time.

I've seen some of the things people have cited as marks of character growth in the norse games, but honestly I don't think all of them are. I mean, yeah sure Kratos definitely was a lot more willing to be open with other people and accept help from others, but the willingness to show mercy to someone he's fighting, not wanting to kill someone unless they threaten somebody he cares about, shrugging off personal insults and and threats to himself, showing compassion to someone going through something awful, those are all pretty standard parts of his personality

He's actually consistently a pretty calm person, given the circumstances. It's also not that surprising to see him readily accept Thrud and Angrboda as Atreus' friends, since he's got a bit of a soft spot for kids

I spend the week projecting my own abandonment issues writing Buck's pov of the divorced era fic so have a bit of that. Poor thing has no idea he's in for a really bad day. prev snippet

It's worse because the thing he wanted the most was to make sure his stupid feelings didn't get in the way of Eddie and him.  Now here he is because his stupid feelings got in the way of Eddie and him.  So Buck is preparing himself to endure the most awkward shift he has ever worked. Maybe it wouldn't be that bad.  Maybe they could just be professional until the end of the shift and then Buck could ask Eddie if he can follow him home and they could talk. With no audience. Just work it out.  They can work it out.  There's no way he actually ruined their friendship.  Right?  Eddie would forgive him, and everything would be fine.  He just has to apologize, and they will be okay.  He can do that.  They can talk.  They're good at talking.  Maybe not about their feelings. At least not until something bad happens.  But, well, he's pretty sure they are past the bad threshold here, so they're due to have a heart-to-heart.  Maybe they could even make it through without Buck confessing his stupid feelings.  But they will make it through. Eddie never held Buck being an impulsive idiot against him.  He definitely wouldn't start now, right?
