Since I’m almost finished the 5th arc and DIVE in its entirety here’s a playlist of songs that really inspired me to write this portion of the story. I’m sure some of these tunes will appear on my Spotify Wrapped this year (we’ll see in roughly a month).
It’s bittersweet saying I’m almost done the main story. Over 700 pages and countless hours I’ve spent over the past 8.5 years writing what I’ve let myself get lost in. It’s been fun, but at least this gives me the opportunity to make the wonderful world I have in my head a comic now that I’ve got it on paper…

It might be mild spoilers for the end of the 5th arc, but I'm happy to have Hank with a happier ending than some of the other characters. He does end up eventually with Ijiri (I'm not spoiling how of course) but I think the two of them are very cute together. I just had to sketch up these lovely bastards.

One thing I really love about doing the yearly October art challenge is helping me get back into the groove of doing more drawing in general. Throughout the summer I don't do much, I'm mainly outside but it's been fun to sketch up some different stuff.
I really love Hank and Ijiri. I won't spoil how the 5th arc is resolved but I'm happy with having a more heartfelt although bittersweet ending.

I decided to redraw the playlist icons I had on Spotify for each of the playlists for the arcs of DIVE. I drew the originals about 2 years ago so I think they needed a well loved revamp. Plus I've refined some of the outfits for the main cast, that was the other reason for the update.

I sketched up both Hank and Ijiri a few days ago. I think the 5th arc is going to be very fun for what I have planned. It'll showcase what happened with the humans after they've been left to their own devices and the conundrums that they'll encounter.
I'll more than likely be sketching up more from the 5th arc since I'll be cracking into it shortly (there's only one chapter left to write of the 4th arc). So keep your eyes peeled!
