yeah I think there is an understandable tendency to equate all essentialisms with bioessentialism, especially considering the application of the false doctrine of “sex” to practices of gender(ing), but what that leaves out are the myriad violent forms of social / cultural / etc essentialism equally if not more insidious and difficult to uproot, at least in the area of cisheterosexism.
e.g. accusations of predatoriness are more accurately ascribed to understandings of “toxic” social environment cultivated by a critical mass of “antisocial” actors, or even the fundamental belief that a set of “feminine” (and always-already white) values must be endemic to certain purified socialities (though not necessarily to certain bodies) and it is for this reason that the aforementioned bodies must be protected from supposed contamination

Maybe I'm just autistic but I loooove making my little colour-coded excel spreadsheets and whatnot and sorting it all into a system that honestly probably looks wack to other people but gives me so much satisfaction to do. I used to struggle so much with remembering stuff because I've got zero object permanence but it's me and my whiteboard calendar against the world now

It’s not that I’m concerned about my job performance, I consistently get good feedback, always finish my tasks, have taken initiative on a couple projects…
But my coworker is always talking about how much of the online training he’s doing once we hit the mid-afternoon quiet period and I’m slightly worried they’re going to be like ‘hey why does [redacted] have so many hours clocked on [redacted training platform] and you have like, none?’
And I’ll have to be like. Well. I was writing star wars fanfiction.

Fwiw-- common cold #2 is far more of the sore throat, mild bouts of hacking cough, feeling run down and tired whereas NASTY ASS COLD #1 was a full on Stuffy Head So MUCH FUCKING MUCUS MAKE IT STOP that took 5evah to clear out because so much fucking mucus.
Common cold #2 is at that point where it will either be a brief annoyance and gone in a day or three, or it will decide to blossom into mucus-fucking-hell. Hopefully it won't. It doesn't have that feeling and is mostly a nasty sore throat and full body laziness.
I would like it to clear out soon.
(Have foodie food to omnomnomnom. Very good museums to visit. Clothes shopping to do. Favorite haunts to re-haunt. etc etc. Film to shoot. And so forth)

Well, what are their options then? If Ted goes back home, he's destined to wind up on a plane to an Alaskan military school before anyone else can get a chance to stop it. If he spends the night at Bill's place, he'll get a little bit of a break maybe, but then his dad will just wind up throwing a fit so bad that other adults will just give in, and Ted will be straight back on that plane again, and worse, probably punished for hiding and hurt even worse than he already is. And Bill won't be able to get his own flight to Alaska either - his dad was happy enough to lend them money for instruments since it kept them busy while he was dating Missy, but this would most definitely be pushing it, even if it would still be getting Bill out of the house for a while.
"Well," Bill says finally, shrugging to himself. "I guess that means we've just gotta leave tonight then."

realized I did not post anything about it here fun life event happened
saw mcr. was amazing. vibes were off the charts. little sad I had no chance to get a tour shirt but it was fun I went with my best friend and it was great we had a blast. here's the cute lil message they put up before they walked out onstage, sick ass fire effects during the intro of mama or sleep i cant remember they both did it and bookended welcome to the black parade which was odd but alright. when i tell you i grabbed my friend when they started playing the intro voicemail to sleep, and the second of two times gerard straight up laid on the floor which to be fair! that was in the encore he deserved floor time we made him come back
#crow.txt#not writing#just now thought to do it cause i may or may not be dealing with Consequences#to be fair. i got the tickets like... 4 months ago. and hoped very hard they would make the next booster available for everyone#and then genuinely last week they said they wouldnt and theyre waitijg until the next one is ready#which makes no damn sense but okay#id kinda gone too long and arranged too much to give up. esp since i didnt wanna let me bestie down.#the looks were off the charts i felt underdressed as hell even though i was in all black#but also i wanted to prioritize. comfort. even if i wasnt like on the floor which i did not WANT to be and the tickets were scalped to like#$1k each. fuck nah. and they started lining them up like 3 hrs in advance. no!!#shout out specifically to the guy who was wearing khaki shorts and a short sleeve button down red white and black striped shirt#there was an attempt. i see you. you tried. gold star a for effort#a wlw couple sat next to me it was sweet#i tried so hard to remember the Exact setlist but my brain FRIED the moment we were in the car#i know everything that played but maybe one. order? i hardly know her. except the opening and the encore#emo con was fun very much enjoyed i felt the spirit of gerard in that concert last week. amen.#doing im not okay after foundations of decay was an inspired choice. everyone yelling GET. UP. COWARD. then the opening riff to not okay#and everyone screaming about it. for sure a spiritual experience.#there were only two songs i didnt love love love and know by heart and 0 i disliked outright so bonus!#helena as the last of the encore was also an excellent choice. we had the best setlist sorry <3 yeah they didnt play our lady of sorrows#like in fcukin.... new york or wherever they were literally saturday. BUT they played house of wolves and thats what counts!#AND two of my most favorite conventional weapons tracks i associate with The Boys. sad the fire effect wasnt for burn bright like cmon#it did look cool but there wasnt much to get a picture of it was Much and Fast.#anyway. gonna Not try to make myself write too too much#since im doing '''nothing'''#i have a few more cool vibes terrible focus pics. for fun. wish i got the stage FLOODED with red in the bridge for boy division. alas

Crafting Excellence: Customizing Your HR Policies
Tumblr media
In today’s dynamic business landscape, human resources play a pivotal role in shaping a company’s success. One of the key elements that contribute to this success is the crafting of exceptional HR policies. In this article, we will delve into the art of tailoring HR policies to suit the unique needs of your organization.
Importance of HR Policies Human Resource policies serve as the foundation of a company’s culture. They set the tone for how employees interact, perform their duties, and contribute to the overall objectives. Well-crafted HR policies promote consistency, fairness, and accountability within the organization.
Understanding Your Company’s Needs The first step in customizing HR policies is a deep understanding of your company’s needs. This involves evaluating the organizational structure, company goals, and the industry in which you operate. A tailored approach ensures that policies align with your specific requirements.
Crafting Tailored HR Policies Tailoring HR policies involves a careful balance between standardization and customization. While certain policies may remain consistent across industries, adapting them to your company’s unique environment is crucial. This includes policies related to leave, work hours, and code of conduct.
Inclusivity and Diversity In today’s globalized world, embracing inclusivity and diversity is not just a trend; it’s a necessity. Your HR policies should reflect this commitment, fostering an environment where individuals of diverse backgrounds feel valued and included.
Employee Engagement Strategies Crafting excellence in HR policies involves incorporating employee engagement strategies. Policies that promote open communication, recognition, and professional development contribute to a more engaged and motivated workforce.
Performance Evaluation Protocols Effective performance evaluations are essential for employee growth and organizational success. Tailor your performance evaluation protocols to align with the specific metrics and goals of your company.
Flexible Work Arrangements In the era of remote work and flexible schedules, HR policies need to adapt. Create policies that accommodate different work arrangements, ensuring a healthy work-life balance for your employees.
Communication Channels Clear communication is the cornerstone of a well-functioning organization. Establish effective communication channels through your HR policies, fostering transparency and accessibility for all employees.
Continuous Training Programs Investing in the continuous growth of your employees is a mark of an excellent company. Craft HR policies that encourage and support ongoing training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of your workforce.
Compliance and Legal Considerations Adhering to legal regulations and compliance standards is non-negotiable. Ensure that your HR policies are in line with local and international laws to protect both your employees and the organization.
Employee Benefits and Wellness Tailored HR policies should encompass comprehensive employee benefit packages and wellness programs. Prioritize the well-being of your workforce by offering benefits that cater to their physical and mental health.
Handling Grievances Effectively No organization is immune to conflicts. Establish clear protocols for addressing grievances, ensuring a fair and efficient resolution process that maintains the harmony within the workplace.
Adapting to Industry Changes In a rapidly evolving business landscape, adaptability is key. Craft HR policies that are flexible enough to accommodate changes in industry trends, technology, and market dynamics.
Conclusion Crafting excellence in HR policies is an ongoing process that requires a deep understanding of your company’s unique needs. By tailoring policies to align with your organizational goals, values, and industry standards, you create a foundation for success. Remember, HR policies are not just rules; they are the guiding principles that shape your company’s culture and contribute to the growth of both the organization and its employees.
FAQs How often should HR policies be reviewed and updated? Regular reviews are essential. Aim for an annual review, but more frequent updates may be necessary based on industry changes or organizational shifts.
What role do HR policies play in employee retention? Well-crafted HR policies contribute to a positive work environment, enhancing employee satisfaction and, consequently, retention rates.
Are there universal HR policies applicable to all industries? While certain policies are standard, customization is key to address the unique needs and challenges of different industries.
How can HR policies contribute to a diverse and inclusive workplace? Inclusivity-focused policies promote a culture where diversity is celebrated, fostering a sense of belonging among employees.
What steps can companies take to ensure compliance with legal regulations in HR policies? Regular legal reviews, staying updated on employment laws, and consulting legal experts can ensure compliance with regulations.
