being an adult means we can buy or make as much self-indulgent shit (as we can afford) and unironically have trinkets of our fave things cause our teen years was bullied for liking things and hiding/denying we were ever neurodivergent to the point of suicide. sucks for anyone that thinks its weird cringe but I'm going to try and allow myself to love myself in little ways now

[TUVOKTOBER: Day 17] Little Things Grown with Care.

#I drew this based heavily on illustrations by seiichi hayashi! They all have a pretty calming dreamy feel #I also had to reference Tuvok's room which was HARD #You catch a glimpse of it in 'Alter Ego' though.#he has so many candles and candle holders and ornate looking trinkets #I like it...it feels grandparent-cozy if that makes sense? Like it'd smell of incense and be a little too warm #and then there's also - of course- the plants <3 mostly flowers #I like the thought of Tuvok's loungewear being a bit fancy and silky #but when someone knocks at the door he quickly pulls on a robe or gown to go over it for modesty's sake #I wonder what he does in the privacy of his quarters...we really on see him meditating or reading #I wonder if he ever watches a movie and eats whatever he'd consider a snack while lounging on the couch #I wonder if he hums while cleaning #Tuvoktober #Tuvok #st voyager #st voyager art

on the missa thing can i also say??? philza also calls HIMSELF weak and stupid at all times, and we see crows fighting that because they know he has a very biased POV (same as when he praises others by putting himself down), but somehow when it's about missa then non-hispanic crows take it at face value????

and also, sometimes when phil mentions it, to me, it feels more of a "fuck he doesnt have the shit needed to deal with how OP some of the mobs are here, he needs help" which is just. objectively true? not necessarily calling missa weak, just that, in the scheme of everything as the island works rn, if you dont have equipment of a specific level or type, you get popped by any mob around, and since missa isnt around much, he doesnt have those types of equipment

Saints, i’ve had an unhealthy obsession with the way someone holds a coffee cup and stirs their coffee before, and I just feel like Regulus would be obsessed with the way James is gesturing wildly, nearly spilling hot coffee (fresh from their 700$ espresso machine) all over the cashmere turtleneck Regulus gifted him for his birthday, a hand precariously gripping over the top of the mug. not that i’m projecting…I just think Regulus is obsessed with James’ hands. I know this is a rk blog first and foremost but ‘Can’t have a leg obsession’ anon got me thinking…

it is only natural because james's hands are so distinctive!! i agree that he is always picking mugs up by spanning his hand over the top, lit cigarette still in-between his fingers, probably holding a stack of envelopes between his teeth too... really boyish physicality. always hassled & EXUBERANT & moving about in a great flurry, chattering on about some Grand Idea He Had, sidestepping obstacles with his long legs without looking. i picture him as having an almost Anthony Perkins -esque physicality to him (examples linked)..
