An Excerpt: I settled in the parlor on the settee, the photo albums on the table before me. I flipped through one scrapbook and found a handwritten note between two photo-less pages:
‘Beware. Plate-Eye spotted in the marsh. Slaves refuse to work fields near water. Papa is in a panic and unsure of what to do.’

The rain made everything desaturated and darker than it appeared on camera. The camera made everything very bright and saturated. The bricks appear more saturated on camera than in real life the red bricks capturing most of my attention in the picture. The path looks more grayish blue, and the sod looks more brownish red in real life than on camera.

Podcast: Short Stuff: Haint Blue
Why this podcast? I picked this podcast because of an interest in ghosts and the supernatural. I never knew about a color that would be able to repel spirits. For my response, I decided to make a short animation of a ghost fleeing from the color Haint Blue.
The night I took these I heard hissing in the woods and a horrendous wave of freezing air rushed over my body. The tell-tale signs of the Carolina haints my grandma spoke of.
