On the one hand, suffering cuz Darius, Raine, and Eber finding Hunter in the woods after "Hollow Mind" and helping him is not canon 😔
On the other hand, Hunter crushing on Willow is, and he could immediately tell it was an illusion because he admires her strength so much, and he still exclusively calls her "Captain"
Also his flyer derby friends care about him so much they risked safety to get him!
Also Hunter and Gus becoming better friends and Gus teaching Hunter a breathing technique (that Willow taught him) warms my heart
Rip Dadrius as canon for now at least, but I'm thrilled Hunter has such good friends!!!! (and his crush on Willow is super cute)
Also to see Hunter is the one that gets to warn everyone about the day of unity is actually a nice twist I wasn't expecting, but it's also great growth for him in his redemption arc.

no im fine its just the way i have 6 free hours a day and i napped for 4 of them so now i dont have time to play totk and the horrors are endless and im not going to make it

i am taking steps to put myself first, and one of those is figuring out what apple gum comes with Re-Mint brand figurines because this shit is always so good and worth the price.

so i think you take gigi trick or treating every year when she is very little, too little to remember, dressing her up as an avocado when she is a five month old and has only just learned how to hold her own hear up, and then as a spider when she is one, with big stuffed legs that she chewed on while held her in your arms and matty rand doorbells for her and smiled proudly as everyone cooed, then took all the candy round to georges to eat when they got high. when she is three she chooses her own costume, a witch, and asks for the sweets herself. matty still eats most of it, "to save her little teeth" and you share a few chocolate bars with her.
gigi's fourth halloween, you are with matty on tour in america, lounging in the hotel room the morning before his halloween show. you've talked about the fact that it's halloween, obviously, over gigi's head, and the boys have picked out their costumes for the show. gigi hasnt really said anything about it all day, you're not sure she even remembers halloweens past, or if its all just a hazy dribbly chocolate blur. but while you and matty are cuddling in bed watching telly, gigi hitches herself up to look out the hotel window.
"its scary day!" she says.
"yeah, gi," you say, "it's halloween."
she runs back over from the window and jumps on you both "we need to get my costume!"
you peer out the window yourself and see a bunch of school children waiting at their bus stop, all dressed in cute little costumes.
"we can get you a costume" matty says.
"will we have time?" you fret, worried about getting to the venue and sound check and everything.
"yeah, definitely."
"then we can knock on people's doors?" gigi says, "thats what you do on halloween"
you and matty look at each other. there will not be time for trick or treating, you know that. you break this news to gigi, and she starts sobbing into matty's chest, and he strokes her hair but he can't change anything, you simply dont have time. he feels like the worst person in the world.
gigi is still crying when you meet the rest of the band for breakfast, and she holds her hands up to george and he lifts her up and asks whats wrong. she just buries her head in his shoulder.
"we dont have time to go trick or treating," you explain.
"oh dear, gus," george says, as she sobs into his shoulder, "it's a hard life isnt it love?"
you take gigi to walmart while they sort venue stuff out, and she picks a skeleton onesie and you take her back to the hotel room and draw more bones on her face with eyeliner. she giggles with delight.
matty texts, can you bring gi back stage before the show? everythings done, wanna hang.
so you set off. when you get back stage, it's oddly quiet, like no one is there. you cant hear voices. the stage set looms like an empty house, the arena echoey. you take gigi and go and try and find matty's dressing room by yourself, with no one to ask. you find it, in a corridor of dressing rooms, the first one with matty's name taped on the front. you knock.
matty opens the door in his costume. he's dressed as a magician, with a black suit with coat and tails, a top hat, and a wand.
"oh hello there, can i help you?" he asks, looking surprised. you and gigi side eye each other.
"matty," she says, "it's me. your daughter."
"i'm just a person in my house on halloween. ready to give treats to the children who knock" he says, "or tricks," he says, poking gigi with his wand and making her squeal. he disappears behind the door and hands her a plastic basket shaped like a pumpkin, and then tips out a bag of sharing candy into it.
"yay!" gigi says, and you smile knowingly at matty, kissing him on the cheek and wrapping your arms around him.
"no time for this affection young lady," he says, unwrapping your arms from him, but kissing you quickly on the side of the head, "plenty more houses to visit." he gestures down the corridor at the unopened dressing room doors. you grin. matty waves his wand dramatically at the both of you, then closes his door slowly behind him, saying "have a good night," in the most creepy voice he can muster.
you go from door to door, and behind each is another member of the band, or their partner, or a manager, or a security guard. george is dressed as frankensteins monster and chases gigi down the halls with his arms out in the front of him. Ross is wearing red lycra as the devil, a tail pinned to his bum, his long hair all out and down his back, two red horns sticking up out of his head. he's bought way too much candy for gigi and she throws herself at him in gratitude, screaming "i love the devil!" and making you both split with laughter. adam jumps out dressed as a ghost and gigi screams and then pretends not to be frightened at all, and ends up chasing adam round the halls with ross' red plastic pitchfork.
you have gigi say thank to the boys, for making her her own trick or treating street backstage, and she kisses her daddy with her black lipstick before he goes on stage, and he leaves the print there the whole show, while you watch in the audience and your little skeleton falls asleep in your arms, happy as ever on halloween.

Hunter asks Willow which Cosmic Frontier character she wants to be for the convention and she says "[O'Bailey's Love Interest]" without knowing she's the love interest (bc she only read one book), and Hunter's face goes full tomato.
I'm constantly thinking about O'Bailey having this slow burn in the series and the burn was SO slow and gradual and NOT as explicit as he expects romance to be that Hunter didn't even notice it.
It snuck up on him. He didn't realize he had gotten so invested until it all hit him at once. Like there was definitely a foundation being set up in Book 1 but it completely flew over Hunter's head. But admittedly O'Bailey's interesting dynamic with the Keiko character (using that until we come up with a fanon name) was changing his brain chemistry a bit. Like there's something here that's reeling him in but he can't articulate it. He just thinks Keiko is really cool. He likes how strong and tough and smart she is. He's reread that part where she touches O'Bailey's cheek like twenty times. She's just really sweet yknow? He likes that she's so sweet. But ALSO cool and strong and tough and strong AND
Anyway when he gets to the part in the series where they finally kiss, Hunter nearly has a fucking heart attack. His hands are shaking. In his frantic efforts to turn the page he nearly tears it out right out of the book. Then the chapter ends and he snaps the book shut and holds it tight in his lap for a moment, like he's almost scared to keep reading. He will continue, he just....needs a moment. His hand is pressed over his mouth. His breathing is a little unsteady. It was like THAT?? Had it always been like that??? Huh?? How?? When?? Where?? Why??? Huh????
Hunter isn't right for DAYS. It completely and utterly discombobulated him. O'Bailey. His O'Bailey??? He got kissed. Seriously kissed. Holy fucking shit.
Now you KNOW that after this Hunter blushes every time the O'Bailey and Keiko relationship is brought up. He CANT talk about it. It renders him hopelessly flustered so he avoids the subject. Gus assumes he's just indifferent to the romance angle. Which is fine, it's not something Gus really focuses on much either. But both agree that Keiko is an AWESOME character. They LOVE her.
Willow thinks she's pretty cool too. Definitely her fave. (Tho O'Bailey is cute too 😊) So when the question is asked, she's like "Could I be Keiko?" And Hunter just. Freezes. He tries to answer for several seconds, his mouth flying open and shut and NOTHING comes out. Finally, he manages a jerky nod.
"I'll..." He forces out. "I'll get started on your costume right away."
Hunter blushes around Willow CONSTANTLY but nothing could possibly compare to the moment she stepped into the basement to model the cosplay Hunter made for her. Gus and Hunter are already fully dressed. He's decked out in full O'Bailey gear. And I swear, Hunter reacts like he had just been caught naked. Completely fucking exposed.
Cuz she!!! She's dressed like!!! And he!!! He!!! It's like!!!! Yknow????

Adding some more hcs here bc its under a readmore and therefore confined to the Secret Thoughts box. Obviously suggestive but mostly relationship stuff bc i cannot help myself 😔
So i feel like i am an outlier that really enjoys noise/noisette like i think they are sooo cute…they are just silly guys ! So no this is not ANYONE cheating i must make this soooo clear i am so touchy about this subject; this is my heehee haha safe space LMAO i want to keep that kind of drama faaaar away from me.
A quick tldr for noise (that i will start calling theo bc i think its a cute name LOL i dunno where it came from but i love it im taking it) is that: hes a nepo baby that was able to start a business and brand w that money, and then stayed in a bubble for the rest of his life bc his image and branding is too important to lose. He hung out w the same rich people to network properly and maintain status. He didnt have the time and courage to go into the circles he WANTED to go into.
I had a whole essay written but this is supposed to be a little tldr lmao basically. Hes bi and curious and gus is always extremely overwhelmingly happy and eager to mess around w anyone (also bi) if it means peppino will be there and peppino is like FINE but ur going to get attached to the rat and thats not going to be my fault. This would be after theo starts behaving, as in, starts respecting peppinos boundaries. And he gets to hang out w him peacefully enough times to work up the courage to poke the bear (lol) and ask questions. Bc hes nosy and curious 🥺 they look like they have so much fun at the bar and w whoever they pickup like. Way more fun than he has w his stuffy rich friends. He wants to be there, he wants to have fun 🥺
Anyway he gets to be peppino and gustavos third and it leaves him like this ->💥💥💥💥💥 and gus thinks its so cute lol like this poor possum is worn the hell out 😭 needs to conk out and sleep forever. ‘ONE. That was fun. That was FUN. I want hazel to do that to me’ peppino, wide eyed but like clearly flabbergasted and smiling incredulously: ‘YEAH? REALLY ? I MEAN. DIDNT UH. DIDNT KNOW SHE HAD THAT IN HER. OR WHATEVER.’

Ok time to scream frantically and post very blurry pictures
Luz & Camila immediately hug and Luz nuzzles into her arms
Edit: Vee wrote a note that says how happy she is Luz is home, which is so dang sweet. Sisters
When she hugs Luz again before bed, she says "I'm so glad you're home" and Luz awkwardly replies "Yeah, home..."
Luz comes out and officially explains Amity is her gf, Camila immediately embraces them both, Gus being the ultimate hypeman fills the room with rainbows & bi flags
Bonus Luz didn't look nervous at all coming out
Camila is wearing a rainbow flag heart in every scene after the coming out
Flapjack hates the old house where the portal was & the other palisman watch him confused why he's frantically pecking
Ghost is a very good cat that chases a opossum with the thrill of the hunt in their eyes
Gus, Willow, and Amity draw pics of their families (Gus is a very good artist too) and Hunter looks on sadly (rip getting a Dadrius moment) while Luz is focused on the portal plans
However Luz is later seen drawing Eda, King, Lilith, and Hooty, and her art has improved as has been a constant throughout the show
The kids go to a thrift store, Gus goes for style, Willow chooses a full blown roller derby outfit, Amity goes gothy witch aesthetic (it reminds me a lot of Vivian from PM:TTYD and if you know who I'm talking about I adore you), and Hunter finds a fucking cardinal onesie
Vee debuts her original look and Camila IMMEDIATELY rushes over to hug her
HUNTER MANIC HAIRCUT SCENE ft Caleb, Belos, Hunter having Victorian orphan hair, & Huntlow

every time i post about the huntlow ship i get a dozen ppl being all “uwu but its my opinion! i just think its cute!” so lemme preface this by saying i also think the huntlow ship is also cute even if i’d find the dynamic more interesting if it’s an unrequited crush hunter has on willow because of his Issues TM. and also if you see a post saying “i dont think this is huntlow” you can literally scroll past and move on with your life instead of being all “well i think it IS!!!” like you want me to apologize or smth?
but anyway yall are reaching way too far with a lot of the so called “huntlow crumbs.” like yeah hunter was blushy in labyrinth runners and in clouds on the horizon he saved willow in the fight against kikimora and odalia. thats a shippy thing. but like, when hunter saw through the willow illusion it’s because he was paranoid and knows nothing about willow except she’s strong enough to not be scared of stuff. similarly, willow not wanting to hit “hunter” with vines isn’t because she’s “in love” with him. if literally any of her other friends were in that position you think she’d hit them? you think she’d murder gus because she wasn’t romantically interested in him? same with when she went to fly the airship because “hunter” got captured. hunter was in shock, gus was holding an illusion, and amity was processing her parents divorce. of course willow would be the first one to react. again, she’d do this for any of her friends.
like im not saying there CANT be a romantic component to these scenes its just that yall are touting the huntlow ship around as on the same level as lumity and raeda when. they literally don’t have any romantic chemistry outside of the occasional blush from hunter. we don’t even have any real indication that willow’s interested. yall are hyperfocused on every frame these two are both in and for what? angsty protective love interests? like we don’t already have much more material with lumity and raeda, which are ships that actually exist in the show
