Really want to read a fic where Giovanni gets so sick of Ash’s shit that he puts a Rocket Bounty, like a bounty but only an illegal one just in TR, on the kids head and he has to be dead for the grunt/admin time receive the reward.

He would hire a hitman but a “promotion” for his salivating power hungry Grunts would be better on his bank account in Gio’s opinion. So he delivers the news and everyone is originally confused on why this particular kid. Like they all know about Ash somewhat, through rumors or the document that almost open to every Tr member because he’s such a menace to them, but all of a sudden and out of the blue? It’s weird but they obviously go with it.

Except the TR Trio, who has physical seen Ash do some crazy shit left and right like it’s some basic guys normal daily routine, who finally disobeys direct orders from their worldly boss. They go and tell Ash to watch out, in secret because they don’t want to be caught and killer themselves, and Ash just looks at them with a dead stare in his eyes. Pikachu right behind him with the same kind of look.

“Let them come.” Is the only thing he says before he moves away to regroup with his friends or ‘Mons.

Soon Giovanni is getting a bunch of emails and voicemails from his higher ups that all the grunts are coming back in body bags. Nothings wrong with them though which is the problem. No marks show up on x-rays and the tox-screens come back negative in everything. This is truly a troubling case and the scientists urge Gio to pull the bounty down because all these Grunts had gone after Ash. Gio doesn’t and it wasn’t long until a shit ton more bodies pop up.

But Ash? Ash doesn’t lift a finger and hasn’t seen a wink of any TR members since the Trio came to talk to him. This ain’t his doing and he honestly really doesn’t care.

Guzma x Reader - Ex Team Rocket Admin

-Moving to Alola from Johto was your chance to move on from your past

-And it works out well at first

-But then when Giovanni brings Team Rainbow Rocket into Alola, knowing that you're there means he tries to get you to rejoin

-When you reject the offer, he isn't happy about it and isn't willing to let you spread the news before he's prepared

-So you're coming back to the base with him whether you like it or not

-This means that when Guzma, Lillie and Selene/Elio come to their hideout in Aether Paradise they're going to find you there

-And once they manage to take down Rainbow Rocket, you're free to go and continue with your recovery

-But Guzma is intrigued and he's not gonna leave you be that easily

-He's curious why you were there in the first place

-He won't push you to tell him, but he's gonna ask whenever he sees you

-If you do eventually tell him, that's when he opens up about his own experiences with Team Skull

-And this, giving you something to relate to with him, will let you become more comfortable around him

-Your shared experiences let you bond and understand each other, which is part of what makes you fall for him

-Guzma is normally super open about how he feels around others, but in this case, he isn't going to say anything about his feelings for you unless he's sure that you feel the same

-When he does eventually confess, it probably comes as a bit of a surprise since its both very sudden when he says it and also something he hid really well

-But he'll be delighted if you choose to tell him how you feel too

-Being with him is good for both of you, as it lets you be more open with each other and allows you to relate in different but similar ways

-And its a relief to finally be able to move on, but also to be free of the weight on your chest that was your hidden feelings for him

How would you rank the Pokémon Villian leaders from least favorite to favorite

(Feel free to include the Orre games)

I actually haven’t played the Orre games (YET... though I very much want to) So I’ll just rank all the team leaders from the main series 👌

Also I’ll give Rose an honorable mention since I haven’t finished SWSH yet and so I don’t really have a full sense of his plan. I do think he is delightful so far, though. Love his energy.

Another honorable mention is Colress, he’s not a team leader, he’s more of a high-ranking admin, but I still want to come out and say that he is wonderful and I love him a lot.

SO here’s the actual list, from least favorite to most favorite: (under the cut because this gets long)

Lysandre: Poor Lysandre...it kills me because I think he had so much potential as a villain, but his scheme is honestly really forgettable to me despite him having a really cool design and aesthetic. I love the orange and black color pallet, but it can’t really save him from being kind of an underwhelming villain to me. (Honestly, I think the entire X and Y plot had so much missed potential but I’ll probably save that for a different post some other time.)

Giovanni: Now from here on out, I actually really like all of these villains so it was a bit tricky to order them :’) But Giovanni is a really good team leader, and one of the scarier ones I think. Team Rocket is really threatening and shows that Gio really just cares about money, even when he has to hurt people or Pokémon to get it. His dynamic with his son Silver is really heart-wrenching and his involvement with the Mewtwo project is so despicable. And his role as the last Gym Leader is definitely one of the best plot twists in all of gaming. He’s intimidating, he’s ruthless, he’s honestly really great.

Lusamine: Yeah, I’ll include the Aether foundation president here despite not being a “team” she is the main antagonist of SM/USUM. And she is a delightfully cruel one too. She’s so self-absorbed that she had no problem pushing her own family away, including her two children who she practically disowns because they’re not “beautiful” enough for her. She’s honestly so despicable, but somehow manages to still be such a fascinating antagonist whose actions really did hurt me while playing the game. And bonus points because she has an awesome fusion with the Ultra Beast and it really shook me to my core when I first played. Her story (and honestly the whole plot of this game as a whole) is so rich and deep and underrated imo.

Archie and Maxie: I’ll put these two together since in the context of the games they’re mostly the same just a different coat of paint (ORAS made them a lot more individualized though, which is really nice and appreciated ) but they were the ones to kick off the “Harness the power of the ancient legendary Pokémon to accomplish my goals” series of plotlines, and though I think theirs is a bit more underwhelming than the other goals of leaders I’ll talk about soon, I do think it’s super iconic. They’re also one of the few leaders to actually show remorse for their actions and want to stop the mess they created. I don’t think I can pick a favorite between the two, they’re both very enjoyable in their own ways. I also love their rivalry and how they tend to dig at each other from time to time, it’s really entertaining.

Guzma: GOSH I adore this boi, he is SO delightful. Despite him not really being “evil” per se, he does have a good amount of chaotic energy and he just gives me a great big smile whenever he comes into the scene. I love how he is such a softie deep down, adopting all these misfits to be a part of his team and clearly considering them to be like a big family. They’re like a canon found family and you have no idea just how much pure joy that gives me. He’s also probably the most quotable of all the villains, giving us gems such as “It’s ya boi, Guzma” and “Y’all are stupid!”. He’s honestly such an absolute delight and I love him so much.

Cyrus: So Cyrus is one of the villains I only recently started to appreciate once I started getting back into replaying the main series and realizing just how deep his character goes. Game Freak gave this man a tragic backstory and you know I had to go and dig into it as much as I could. You can learn so much about him just by reading in between the lines of how he talks and how others talk about him. He’s sad, lonely, cold-hearted and wants to create a world lacking in spirit so that no one has to ever feel the pain of sadness ever again. But by doing that, he is getting rid of all emotions, even the positive ones. So he’s really willing to stop feeling happy if it means he won’t get to feel sadness anymore either. It’s insane and really something that stands out to people once they grow up. I know I certainly didn’t realize this as a kid. I just really feel for him and want him to be happy,,,

Ghetsis: And finally we arrive at my absolute favorite evil team leader, and the one probably no one expected! I hate him so much, and I think that’s why he's just so great. His writing makes him so devious, so twisted and terrifying that it really makes me feel so strongly about the already genius story of BW. He is admittedly one of those villains that’s mostly evil for evil’s sake and I wouldn’t go so far as to say he’s as complex as Cyrus. But darn it, I can’t feel anything but absolute loathing for this man and his twisted ambitions, the way he raised a child to be nothing more than his human puppet...the way he manipulated the whole region to nearly go against us and separate humans and Pokémon from each other for good... the way he was so close to actually accomplishing his goals...the way he was so bitter about losing to the hero of BW that he actually goes out of his way to try and murder the hero of BW2...this man is just absolutely insane and probably the most terrifying villain Pokémon has to date and I will always get such enjoyment out of beating the crap out of him whenever I go and replay BW.

Chapter 5

So apparently you were allowed to leave your room, which you would have known if the grunts had bothered telling you before leaving.

So here you were sitting in the cafeteria for the grunts, no way were you going to eat alone in your room.

But the noise, so much noise and so many people.

The grunts all talked too much, excitedly raving about their day. A few played with their pokemon at the tables, teasing the creatures with promise of human food.

Others side-eyed you, not that you blamed them. You stuck out like a sore thumb.

You looked down at your half eaten plate, you probably shouldn't let it go to waste, but you were full...

A blue blur entered your line of vision before you were covered in food. Globs of food slid down your face, you grimaced at the feeling of the cold sensation. You stared at the wiggling zubat that was going to town on your leftovers.

Food mushed into it's fur, face and wings.

Grunts snickered around you.

"Looks like Casey's zubat found a new victim."

"I thought he got rid of that thing!"

"Casey get your stupid zubat!"

You ignored the grunts jeers at whoever Casey was, choosing to wipe the gruel off yourself instead. You'd get your chance to yell at the trainer soon.

"Yeah, yeah keep your boots on Isabelle, its not bothering you!"

Boots stomped on the clean tiles, getting louder with each stomp. You stared at the man, his face reminiscent of a voltorb. He glared at you, pulling his shoulders back, as if trying to make himself intimidating.

Pfft.

'Casey' grabbed his zubat, doing his best to wrestle it still. Food smeared on his uniform.

"Stop moving I mean it! That's it, no pokepuffs for you!"

Hissing and spitting was the only response he got. Reaffirming his grip he began to walk off.

Was this guy seriously going to ignore you? No, not on your watch!

You jumped from your table, quickly intercepting the struggling pair.

"Uh excuse me did you not see me sitting there covered in food, what's your problem?"

Casey blinked.

"You new or something?"

"Wha? Yes in a way but that's not the point! Your zubat stole my food and made a mess on me. I mean just look!"

You gestured to the stains of food.

Casey shrugged.

"What do you want me to do about it? I got my zubat, just clean yourself up."

"I want an apology!"

Someone laughed behind you, alerting you of the audience ever growing.

"Yeah Cassy apologize, that is what any self respecting criminal would do."

Casey growled dodging the wing trying to slap his face.

"Shut up Toby! Don't think you have a say when you can't even meet a quota!"

"Hmph!"

He turned back to you.

"And you, why don't you-"

"Casey was it?"

Everyone's head's turned toward the new voice, a stern woman stood at the entrance of the cafeteria. Grunts scrambled out of her way as she walked towards you.

"Is there a reason you haven't used your zubat's pokeball?"

Casey blinked, immediately hunching in on himself at the realization. The woman's stare seemed to drill holes into the poor sap. Well at least she wasn't staring at you.

"No Admin Alma."

Gosh, it was like watching a growlithe being scolded. All he needed was a tail.

"Then why is it still out of it's pokeball?"

"Uh."

"I expect better from a grunt of Rainbow Rocket. Get yourself cleaned up."

"Yes Admin."

Heh that's right run away. It was a small victory watching the jerk squirm. Sure you didn't get to say what was really on your mind, but you'd settle for this. That victory was soon short-lived when a chill seemed to come over you.

Uh oh.

You reluctantly lifted your eyes to the woman, reeling at the laser stare she had now focused on you.

"You must be our new guest correct?"

Oh crap she was talking to you.

"Yes?"

You mentally face palmed yourself, why would you say it like that! Would she think you broke in? She probably thought you were stupid enough by your answer alone.

"Good, Giovanni has requested your presence," She gave you a once over before staring at you again. "though I think it would be best if you cleaned yourself first."

What? Oh right, you looked down at your food stained clothes.

"Right, I'll go get cleaned."

"I will let him know, don't keep him waiting too long. You, go lead our guest back to their room."

The Admin turned her focus to your audience, which quickly went back to whatever they were doing.

One of the grunts patted your arm, leading you away to which you eagerly followed them. You'd rather deal with Giovanni than that terrifying woman again, and she barely talked to you!

The walk to your room was a quiet one, but your mind was a buzz. What did Giovanni want? Did he decide to get rid of you already? It hadn't even been a day.

You could try to run, but what would that accomplish?

You were still considered a guest here so you should have no trouble passing grunts. Though you were sure word would get out that you were supposed to talk with their boss. You don't think you could take a shower and run out of here in a short time span.

You waved the grunt goodbye as you entered the room, heading straight for the bathroom.

You couldn't forcefully break yourself out of here for obvious reasons.

You slumped, guess you'd have to face the boss head on.

🇷 🇴 🇨 🇰 🇪 🇹 😈 🇹 🇦 🇰 🇪 🇴 🇻 🇪 🇷 A Pokemon Villain AU!

Here’s a little project I’ve been working on for a while now.

The concept: While Giovanni distracts Maxie, Archie and their admins, Team Rocket plants sleeper agents in the Magma and Aqua bases. This AU includes both RSE and ORAS characters, so both teams have two bases in the region, north and south Magma bases and east and west Aqua bases. Rocket swiftly takes over all four facilities, converting their compounds to Rocket use and repurposing their uniforms. Above is the result of the takeover- Magma and Aqua designs fused with Rocket aesthetic. Gio’s goal is to fuel his team’s expansion into Hoenn- and he’s got some deadly plans to do so. 💰💰💰 There’s an ongoing story to go with this AU that I’m writing in a discord server, but I just may throw it up on Ao3. ;)

Can we gave a continuation of the giovanni x reader? The reader had recovered and is confronted by a relieved Giovanni? I wanna see some feels!

Yeah, here you go. It’s not particularly fluffy since I felt it didn’t fit Giovanni but I hope you like it nevertheless. If some of you haven’t read the first part and are interested you can find it right here.

Change of heart (Pt. 2) – Giovanni x reader

A few weeks had passed since you got hurt on your mission. Your injuries had been bad and you still felt like you got hit by a truck but you got better with every day that passed. The doctors had discharged you from the hospital wing some days ago but you had to promise them to take it slow and rest until you had fully recovered.

Your daily routine was already starting to bore you; you were tired of sitting around the whole time and you wanted to go back to work, just for the sake of doing something. But there was also a part of you who knew that you weren’t ready and that you needed more time to recover, even though you always told the doctors that you were fine when they asked how you felt. The only one who didn’t quite believe you about that was your boss – Giovanni. He seemed to know that you weren’t fine although he never said something about it. But you had noticed how concerned he always looked when you met. He had visited you every other day when you were at the hospital and now, he even stopped by your flat quite frequently to check on you. It still was a bit weird that your boss was so worried about your health but you also had to admit that you didn’t mind his visits at all. It was great that you didn’t need to be alone all the time, even though Giovanni really wasn’t the most entertaining person. He rarely initiated some kind of conversation and when he did, it was usually about work or the mission he had assigned you to.

You knew that he felt bad about the fact that you had gotten hurt during that mission – he was really bad at hiding it, or maybe he didn’t even try to do so when you were around – and whenever he brought that topic up, you reassured him that it wasn’t his fault. You should’ve been more careful, it had been your mistake, not his.

“I’m serious,” you said as he handed you a mug and sat down in your favorite armchair. A great reading spot, really. Also perfect for daydreaming. “What happened wasn’t your fault. I got too incautious and didn’t even notice that something seemed to be weird. I was off guard, that’s why I got hurt. It’s none of your doing.”

Giovanni shook his head, ready to contradict you but there was something about you that stopped him. Maybe it was the fact that you still looked so pale and fragile, even though you always assured him that you were already feeling a lot better. And while it was true that your injuries had started to heal he couldn’t help but worry about you. Perhaps you were trying to downplay the incident and the effect it had on you. He just didn’t understand why you were doing that. Were you trying to impress him? Or were you acting tough because you were afraid that you were going to lose your job if you didn’t get back to work as soon as possible?

Just the mere thought made him frown. He wasn’t going to fire you, even if your recovery took another month or two. You were one of the best admins he had ever had, and his personal feelings had nothing to do with that opinion. They did matter when it came to your wellbeing though. He hated to see you like this and often found himself wishing that there was something he could do to make you feel better. Whenever he saw you giving a wince of pain he felt like someone had punched him right into the face. He felt the urge to protect you from the whole world.

He knew that you didn’t need someone to protect you. You were perfectly fine on your own but still, he wanted to make sure that no one was ever going to hurt you again. He had always been protective of the ones who were important to him, and you weren’t an exception.

He was so lost in his own thoughts that he didn’t even notice that you were watching him, studying his expression and trying to figure out what he was thinking about. You had always been quite good at reading people but usually, Giovanni hid his emotions and made it nearly impossible to figure out what was going on in his head. But today you could easily see the concern in his eyes, mixed with anger… and some kind of tenderness that you had never noticed before.

You knew that you were staring at him. It wasn’t the first time that you had to admit that he was a good looking man but usually you tried not to think about it too much – he was your boss, after all. Today though, you allowed yourself to admire his features, his eyes, wondering what it would feel like if he hugged you.

Others often thought that he was cruel and ruthless but you knew that there was so much more about it. He could be patient and caring, and he was an attentive listener, not only when it came to you. Sure, he didn’t always show it but he cared about the people who worked for him and treated them with respect and fairness. Well. Most of the time at least.

When you realized that you had started to romance over him you quickly tried to get the thoughts out of your head, especially since it sometimes seemed as if Giovanni could read your mind. Heck, that would be really embarrassing right now.

“Anyways,” you quickly said and put on a smile to hide the confusion you felt in that moment. “What did I miss at work? Did anything exciting happen?”

Giovanni snapped out of his thoughts. For a few seconds, he had no idea what to say but when you raised an eyebrow, he shook his head and replied: “No… nothing’s changed. But you really shouldn’t worry about that. Focus on your recovery, (Y/N), that’s the most important thing right now.”

You sighed. “I know, I know. But it’s so annoying to just sit around and wait for the time to pass every day. I need something to so.”

“You don’t have much company, do you?” he asked in a gentle tone.

You bit your bottom lip. It wasn’t a secret that you had been on your own most of the time after you moved out of your parents’ house. You didn’t have many friends either. In fact, Giovanni was the only one who bothered with visiting you. For a moment, you wondered if he sometimes felt lonely too. Maybe that was the reason why he visited you so often since they had discharged you from the hospital. Maybe he needed some company too.

“No,” you finally said, even though he probably could’ve answered the question himself. “I mean… I visit my parents sometimes but they don’t know what happened on my last mission. I don’t want to worry them. They would freak out if they knew.” “Which is totally understandable,” Giovanni said. “Your injuries were quite serious. I… I kinda freaked out too.”

You gave him a baffled look. “You did? Why?”

The expression on his face changed. Now, he no longer looked concerned but rather… nervous. You had never thought that there could be something that ruffled him.

“You could’ve died, (Y/N),” he replied and just the way he said your name was enough to give you goosebumps. “You could’ve died and it would have been my fault. I… listen, I’m going to be completely honest now – I don’t think I could live without you.”

There, he said it, even though he originally planned to keep his feelings for you to himself. He didn’t want you to think that he was head over heels in love with you, especially since he wasn’t really sure about that himself. Maybe he did love you but he still needed some time to figure out what it really meant to love someone.

“Hey,” you mumbled softly, snapping him out of his thoughts once again. “I’m here. I’m not dead.”

Giovanni nodded, giving you a soft smile that made your heart skip a beat. “I know. And I’m incredibly glad about that.”

I'm curious about pokemon theories now. I've never actually heard any of them lol

Well, you’ve got a whole range of quality just like in any fandom (though I find that a lot are uh... the product of people who didn’t read the lore)

There’s some that I do really like. Some like “Ariana is Silver’s Mom” (for context, Silver, the rival in the Johto games is Giovanni, the boss of Team Rocket’s son with an unknown mother. Ariana is a high ranking Team Rocket admin with very similar hair to Silver)

A very popular one is “Ditto is a failed clone of Mew,” which I also like even if it gets more unlikely every generation

Ditto, an uncommon Pokemon whose only ability is to transform into other Pokemon, has the same weight as the legendary ancestor of all Pokemon, Mew

It has a similar color scheme to Mew in both standard and shiny appearances

Both have perfectly even stat distributions (Ditto is all 48s while Mew is all 100s.)

Not to mention that both are the only Pokemon in existence that can learn Transform naturally, a move not even available to Mew’s canon clone

In the Kanto games, Ditto are only found in the lab where Mew was cloned

The biggest hiccup with this one is that Ditto can be found in the wild in every region, completely divorced from any lore

So there’s some decent stuff. But the bad ones, at least to me, are really bad

One that drives me absolutely insane is “The Unova War (from Black/White’s backstory EXPLICITLY STATED TO BE A CIVIL WAR) is the same was as the Kalos War (from X/Y’s backstory, EXPLICITLY STATED TO HAVE BEEN AGAINST FOREIGN REGIONS)” with special attention drawn to both:

People using the statues of the Unova Legendaries in Kalos’s Parfum Palace as proof that there’s a connection between the two, despite Parfum Palace only being 300 years old while the Kalos war was 3000 years ago and, ergo, not proof that Kalos had anything to do with Unova during the time the war actually happened

People making the claim that the desert in Unova was the impact site for the giant laser Kalos’s king fired during the war, despite the MASSIVE, PERFECTLY CIRCULAR DESERT BADLANDS IN KALOS being the place where you meet that very king

And almost none of those theories even mention the fact that Kalos is the Pokemon world’s version of France while Unova is their version of New York, and the games seem to have our level of technology. So how, exactly, did the king of France stage a war with New York with the technology of maybe slightly more advanced than 1000 BC? This is something that needs ironing out, people!

I’d go on more about the inconsistencies, but Reddit user CountScarlioni did basically a perfect breakdown in the comments of this [x] thread, to the point where I don’t have anything to add

Though the absolute worst Pokemon theory I’ve ever seen was “Lysandre (villain of the Kalos aka Pokemon France games) is the father of Lusamine (villain of the Alola aka Pokemon Hawaii games).” I’m linking the video but it’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.

Just the idea that Lusamine, who is canonically over 40 years old, being the daughter of Lysandre, who is stated to have been Professor Sycamore’s (who was explicitly stated to be a pretty young professor) student and peer, whose games of debut take place two years apart, is absolutely absurd

The justification for this point is “Lysandre is the descendant of AZ’s brother, and AZ is immortal, so Lysandre inherited that immortality or at least slow aging!” Which, first of all, AZ became immortal due to radiation from his weapon. That’s not something he can pass on to his brother’s descendant, especially when his brother was not there when the weapon was fired. And, second of all, AZ’s immortality was explicitly the “Age Without Youth” variety, i.e. he still aged up until he was physically elderly and then seemed to stop

One of the pieces of evidence is, and I’m not joking, “Lusamine’s family’s clothes look French to me so they could be from Poke-France.” What??? Most Pokemon regions have similar clothing styles! Not to mention that most of her family’s names are German in origin. Which is close to France, but still more concrete than what this guy said!

Not to mention that his proposition of “they have similar motives since they’re both obsessed with beauty, therefore it was something Lysandre drilled into her as a child” is... totally wrong. They were both obsessed with beauty and control, but took it in totally opposite directions. And it’s a bit of a spit in the face to Lusamine’s story since the Alola games are so much about her children breaking free of her abuse (which, at least in Sun and Moon, is OUTRIGHT stated to have gone from “a little smothering” to outright domestic abuse when Lusamine lost her husband and came into contact with extradimensional aliens)

For fun and because a Kanto remake seems increasingly more likely with all the rumors circulating, I wanted to go into that “make it so you’re from the timeline Giovanni succeeded” idea for the alleged Kanto game for the Switch:

-rather than start off in the fashion of the RBYFRLG games, you break TR/RR’s enforced curfew accidentally, but are caught by a couple grunts, and are then rescued from a confrontation with them by Blue, who you receive your starter from. (He bred it, and his starter would match yours.)

-You join the rebellion that Blue leads, fighting to restore peace to the region and bring freedom back to its citizens.

-rather than the Gyms, you fight high-ranking Rocket admins who run each city. Some of these would be the admins from HGSS, while Koga, Sabrina, and Surge would’ve aligned themselves with TR, as they were Rockets in the Adventures series, so it would be a fun little callback to the manga :D

-Blaine would have stepped down and gone into hiding from his RR/TR/Gym Leader position in guilt over his hand in creating Mewtwo, and how Giovanni’s used it to subjugate the region. He will assist you in stopping TR/RR from catching the legendary birds, and join the rebellion/give them information about Mewtwo and its combat capabilities as his way of atoning.

-Blue becomes a bit of a rival by the time you’d have liberated your fifth city (the equivalent of earning a badge), and he’s more stoic and serious in this timeline, but shows himself to be not so above it all by messing with others in the rebellion and the protagonist. Your proper rivals are either a boy or girl you rescued from RR (depending on player’s gender) who wants to become stronger to be like you and protect their friends and family, and an arrogant girl in RR who joined to keep her Pokemon (as she views them as her family) and thinks that Blue’s rebellion is bound to fail, so she’s joined the winning team. (Is an abrasive person, but reforms.)

-Sevii Islands are included as part of the story, and the Rocket hideout on Fifth Island plays a role as where E4 members are kept prisoner. Lorelei had avoided capture and is leading the assault on the hideout. (This will be TR’s last stronghold, and once you finally rescue the E4, you will be able to fight the them at the reborn League, and be crowned Champion. Blue will provide your first challenge as Champion, much like Kukui and Hau did during Gen7.)

-the gym leaders that didn’t align with TR/RR are part of the rebellion, and will aid you over the course of the story and provide some fun boss battles along the way to test your skills. Those that did will likely reform–I like to think Koga would join to protect Janine…but wouldn’t likely tell her this, so she’s furious with her father for not fighting TR/RR, and joins the rebellion. He then (unbeknownst to you) tries assisting both of you from the shadows, and outright defects when a confrontation between him, Janine, and you is forced. Sabrina comes to respect the player during the story when they save her life from one of the legendary birds, and Surge plainly just gets bored and decides to fuck off and just go be a Gym Leader again (those who confront him over this get zapped out of his Gym)–after Giovanni’s final fall.

-You steal a Mega-Ring/Mega Stone when you liberate Silph Co. (which Team Rocket has been using to manufacture Master Balls and is one of their largest strongholds)

-I like to think Giovanni is absent from much of the story as he’s in Alola with the other villain team leaders and to provide a reason he’s not crushing the rebellion with Mewtwo (X/Y), but he will show up for the final confrontation with TR/RR.

• Gio and Nanu used to date before Giovanni took over Team Rocket. And Madame Boss *hates* that out of all people, Gio decided to date a COP.

But Giovanni doesn’t care. He likes his dirty Poochyena-lookin boyfriend.

• Younger Gio is the definition of an attentionwh*re and is needy in about every way possible. It’s all about him and Nanu has to pamper him NOW. Giovanni becomes especially insufferable if he’s sick or hurting.

• Even after Giovanni took over Team Rocket, he and Nanu are still good friends (with benefits). They meet up whenever Gio’s in the area and go on not-dates. Gio hates Nanu’s culinary preferences but swallows his high-ass standards for him.

• Their persians are bffs and constantly snuggle with eachother. (Me and my Friend hc Giovanni’s persian as female too btw)

• I’m also gonna push my Rocket Admins x Giovanni agenda and say that the second they find out that Gio used to date a cop, they loose their shit. (Not in a good way)

• Whenever Gio and Nanu meetup, Giovanni usually asks a lot of discreet and intrusive questions on police documents and so on. Mostly just to piss Nanu off ;33

Change of heart – Giovanni x Team Rocket Admin!reader

With just a few bounding strides Giovanni crossed the hospital ward of Team Rocket’s HQ. A nurse darted a nervous glance at him when he passed the small reception counter where they kept all the medical records and meds but he didn’t even pay attention to her. He knew where he had to go and he didn’t care at all if someone had a problem with him visiting you. He needed to know how you felt. If you were going to be okay.

Giovanni had never been a man who cared about his subordinates on an emotional level. Yes, they were important and he needed them to keep things ticking over but other than that they were nothing more than pawns – exchangeable and easy to forget. You on the other hand…

He arrived at the door to your hospital room. The fact that they gave you your own room made Giovanni feel uneasy. Usually, smaller wounds and injuries were treated in the more open area in the front of the hospital ward which meant that you must’ve been badly wounded when they brought you here.

Inside your room, he could hear several voices discussing their next steps. He didn’t bother with knocking, and the doctors flinched when he entered the room. “Sir… you can’t be here right now.”

Giovanni raised a hand to stop them from talking. The only thing he could see was you, lying in the hospital bed, your eyes closed and your skin cut and bruised. There was a particularly large bruise right under your left eye and the gash on your cheek looked like it only had stopped bleeding a few moments ago. To your right side, a nurse was busy with patching up a large wound on your upper arm. Your wrist had been placed in a plaster cast.

Giovanni shot a glance at one of the doctors. “How bad is it?”

She avoided his gaze for a few seconds and stayed silent as if she was trying to find the right words. It was more than obvious that she was nervous and while he normally enjoyed making people nervous, he somehow knew that her reaction meant that she had some bad news for him.

“(Y/N)’s injuries are quite serious, sir,” she finally said and bit her bottom lip. “Several broken bones and a spleen rupture which we already took care of but the next few hours will show if (Y/N) will respond to the treatment.”

“Go on.”

“We needed to perform an emergency surgery to stop the internal bleeding. At the moment (Y/N) is still sedated and receives a blood transfusion to compensate for their blood loss. We’re going to check up on them every hour to make sure that their condition is stable,” the doctor explained and gestured towards you. “I can’t say much about the recovery time at the moment but I’m optimistic that (Y/N) will survive this without consequential damages.”

Giovanni nodded. He knew enough about the doctors who worked for him to be sure that they would do everything in their power to nurse you back to health as soon as possible. Still, he felt like he couldn’t leave you there alone. “I need a moment alone with (Y/N),” he said. The doctors and the nurse who had just finished the stitches on your wound darted a look at each other.

“Sir…” the other doctor, a young man who had joined Team Rocket only a few weeks ago, said carefully. “I’m afraid that’s not possible right now. (Y/N) needs rest. But,” he added quickly as he noticed the disgruntled expression on his boss’ face. “You can visit them tomorrow. I… I’m sure they would be quite happy about your company.”

An empty phrase, nothing more. But Giovanni nodded, then glared at the medical staff once more. “Take good care of (Y/N),” he said. It was meant to be a simple order but instead, he somehow managed to make it sound like a threat.

Giovanni couldn’t sleep. The last few hours he had tried to distract himself with a book, several tv shows and some paper work but quickly gave up when he realized that his thoughts always trailed off to you. He had never been worried about someone before to this extent, not even his own son, but you were one of the best admins Team Rocket had ever had, and losing you would definitely make things more difficult. You were a brilliant tactician and knew exactly how to motivate the grunts. You often acted like you were one of them but still managed to be respected. They adored you, that was for sure.

With a groan, Giovanni buried his face in his hands. Why did he assign that mission to you? If he hadn’t instructed you to go to Goldenrod City to raid the local Pokemon Day Care to steal the pokemon you wouldn’t have gotten into trouble. You wouldn’t have gotten hurt.

He still had no idea what had happened to you but given the fact that you needed an emergency surgery it must’ve been pretty bad. But as long as you weren’t awake and able to speak, he wouldn’t come to know what had been going on in Goldenrod City.

He felt kinda guilty, as if it was his fault that you were hurt. It was a weird feeling and for a few moments he tried to convince himself that he wasn’t to blame but deep down he knew that he had made a mistake when he sent you off on your own. He should’ve assigned one or two grunts to accompany you, just to make sure that nothing went wrong but instead, he had completely underestimated the situation and put your life at risk without even thinking about it.

Dang, he hated himself right now.

It was only then when he understood that he was so upset because he cared for you – actually cared for you. The realization hit him like a brick. For a second he just sat there and stared into the void. It was the first time that he experienced something like this and it was unsettling and fascinating at the same time. It felt strange that someone could be so important to him.

He began to wonder if he had been able to understand that you meant something to him without your failed mission. If he had ever realized that he actually wanted to be a part of his life. But in the end, it probably didn’t matter. Right now it was way more important that you recovered. Once you felt better the two of you would have enough time to talk about everything. And until then, he promised himself, he would make sure that you had everything you needed.

And he would never let anyone hurt you again.
