Some important details that Spirit Hunter franchise has developed throughout games, light novels, manga and audio drama

Death Mark 1: - Spirits are born from grudge of people who died a horrible death. - A spirit would be on vengeance mode towards those that they deem as the ones causing their death, once they are done they would go dormant until they are woken up by a spirit of higher power rank.

Red Riding Hood DLC: - Spirits can perform possession on humans, although it will exhibit strange behaviors or strange body transformation.

Aoki Shuuen: - There is a possibility of multiple timelines in the Spirit Hunter universe. - Hyaki Yakyo (Night of Hundred Demons Parade) is an event when grotesque dolls gave birth to many spirits. It has happened once in the past. - European-style dolls are mainly porcelain dolls, one house in Europe seems to be the root of the European dolls. - Dolls are souls of human sacrifices as offering to evil spirits to seal them up. In this case, Mary is the first offering to the Master of the Mark. - The golden gun probably exists somewhere in the main timeline.

NG(game + light novel + bad end audio drama): - Asian doll(s) are probably straw doll. - Spirits can have time manipulation ability, the source of this power is unknown, but it apparently affects anything (whether alive or not) in the area of effect. This ability doesn't restrict to high ranked spirits only. - Mirror can be used as a portal to enter the realm of the Death, or for the dead to get into the living realm. - Some spirits just don't deserve salvation. - Spirits can kill other spirits. - Sometimes a half-human half-spirit entity can exist.

Death Mark 2: - Some spirits can take a powerful possession that make them unable to be detected from normal humans. - High ranked spirits maybe able to devour weaker spirits to empower themselves. - Spirits don't actually leave behind grudge, sometimes they leave their hope behind.

Death Mark manga: (spoiler alert) - Mashita's senpai was killed by Shimi-O, or the man who later becomes Shimi-O, but it was under the influence of the Master of the Mark. - The name of the ritual used to purify the Buddha nenjibutsu is 夏越の祓 "Nagoshi no Harae", which has the same "Nagoshi no" part to the ritual to seal Kaguya in NG, 夏越の儀 "Nagoshi no Gi". While "harae" means "purification/exorcism", "Gi" means "ceremony", this means those two rituals could actually be part of each other or even the same. - Yashiki's past self (Masamune) seem to show a behavior similar to a spirit possession as the memory returns. Not sure how it actually occurs because it never appears in the game this way, but the manga shows it.

What if Spider got caught by the RDA together with one of the Sully siblings? (Headcannons)

General headcannons:

Although the three oldest Sully kids posess ikrans, they cannot fly with them as they wish since the recom squad had special chips attached to one of their wings that will explode on command if the kids try to bolt. They’re completely trapped even when in the air.

Spider and the sibling end up cuddling for warmth and emotional support every night. He used to be excluded from the cuddle piles back at high camp but now that he is the only comfort his siblings have, he tries his best to provide it.

The caught one of the three oldest Sullys is forced to wear recom squad’s donated clothing when traveling back to Bridgehead for regular reports. The clothes are way too big for them as they’re meant to be worn by bulky avatars but they make it work.

The caught one of the three oldest Sullys is forced to endure the brain scanner with Spider when they’re first brought to base, but as their will is not as iron as Spider’s they end up spilling clues. None of them actually picture high camp but they give recoms hints as to where they could search for traces of the Omatekaya.

Whoever Spider ends up caught with, he will develop a strong, perhaps a life-long bond. A captivity that lasts for months is quite a traumatising event and having a sibling to be there with you through it will make their relationship ten times stronger.

Tuktirey headcannons:

The recoms are holding themsevles back big time for her. They try to tone down the cursing, handle her gently and try to stay on her good side. Overall, being captured with Tuk is more than bearable. She is mischievous but in a fun way.

Spider goes full big brother mode and Tuk is sucking up the attention like a sponge. Lo’ak is currently in that stage of puberty where he finds kids extremely annoying and Neteyam is never around since he’s busy with being handed adult responsibilities so the girl doesn’t get to experience much attention from her siblings, which changes with Spider.

Spider is rarely more than a foot away from her, always there to calm her when the big soldiers with their guns and ammunition get too overbearing. They end up holding hands almost all the time as the motion reassures her, so she turns quite clingy during their captivity.

Spider is like Teyam, but more fun, Tuk thinks as Spider runs around the forest with her on his back and despite being nearly the same height as him she’s quite light. He entertains her, plays pranks with her on the recoms and responds to all her silly, childish questions. The avatar squad silently thanks him for it.

When Tuk grows comfortable with the recom squad, she begins making cute jewellery for them. Soon, the mercs end up covered in flowers, pins, armbands and necklaces which Miles allows as it goes hand in hand with their plans of going "Na’vi". (it doesn’t he just likes taking a piss at his subjects walking around in colourful jewellery)

First night of their captivity, Tuk couldn’t fall asleep as usually, at this hour, she’d be listening to her mother sing lullabies and receive a forehead kiss from Neteyam. When she tells that to Spider he takes it upon himself to sing the little sister lullabies or tell stories every night. Her favorite part is when he takes a breath, lifts his mask and gives her a kiss on the temple. She falls asleep almost instantly afterwards, curling into the blonde’s chest.

The colonel will never admit it aloud, but the sight of Spider doing that is extremely adorable. He picks up a habit to wait until his son falls asleep and does the same to him so as he doesn’t forget that despite the role he was forced to take, he is still a kid.

Lo’ak headcannons:

The recoms squad had no idea what kind of hell they were in for when they caught the two. Separately, the boys are manageable, but together they turn into actual demons. Harsh pranks, jokes repeated to the point they’re no longer funny and other stupid, borderline punishable behaviour becomes a daily routine and the mercs are forced to adopt a no nonsense attitude to keep the gremlins in line.

Lo’ak is treated as Spider but with less rights. He is a hostage just like the blonde of course, but doesn’t have the privilege of being a human or the son of the colonel so the soldiers feel little need to play nice with him. If he fucks up, they will tell on him immediately and Quaritch is less inclined to hold back with his punishments, often grounding Lo’ak from climbing or flying and on occasion, if he really messes up (like patching up an escape plan) — eating.

Lo’ak is also often used as leverage when Spider becomes too rowdy. If he cursed out the colonel too many times, tried to get away or physically fought back with the squad, all Miles needs to do is throw one dark, sadistic look towards the younger Na’vi and Spider will find himself backtracking almost immediately, aware that Lo’ak isn’t as valuable to the group as the blonde himself.

For that reason Spider develops a bit of a protectiveness towards his friend. Sure the blue boy is taller and stronger, but he’s also viewed as less than him and the two of them are travelling with a pack of bloodthirsty avatars who are out to get their family, so when they or more specifically Quaritch gets agitated or agressive or hostile towards the kid, he’ll find Spider standing between them, shielding Lo’ak from his father’s fury and diffusing the situation.

Lo’ak feels guilty that he puts so much pressure in Spider to protect him, so he’d try to guard his sleep. He’ll hold his brother close and eye the recoms with a death glare, but always ends up going out like a light.

Miles makes it a habit it to cover up the kid with his jacket. He is, again, tall but also quite thin and was caught shivering on more than one occasion. The colonel keeps telling himself that he only does that so the blue brat doesn’t catch a cold and slow them down.

Kiri headcannons:

Most of the recoms had their big sibling/parent instincts activated when she got caught together with Spider for reasons they don’t understand, so overall she is treated just as well as her human brother. They don’t talk to her much, but she is well-behaved and it’s all that matters.

Kiri and Spider have that rare, one in a million sibling relationship that expresses itself in constant verbal/physical affection and support. The two of them get along so well the recoms assumed they were dating at first, but it turns out the reason to their bond is ✨trauma of orphanhood✨

Quaritch doesn’t know if he wants to laugh or cry at the cruel irony he sees in front of himself. Never in a thousand years would he had imagined the daughter of a woman he despised being the closest person Spider has. Their bond is sickeningly sweet and genuine.

The squad finds themselves getting attacked by local fauna almost every day, often several times but the animals are suspiciously avoidant of Kiri and Spider.

She tries to teach spirituality to the recoms, hoping that if she gets them to connect to Eywa they’ll enlighten and drop their mission. Her lectures are almost as annoying as Grace’s, but nothing could top her preachy, almost derogatory tone of voice so they bear with it.

Surprisingly, out of all the siblings in this situation, Kiri is having the best time in captivity thanks to being held with Spider. He is her absolute favorite brother and she always wore that fact proudly on her sleeve but back at high camp the human would often disappear with Lo’ak so on many days, they didn’t get to spend much time together.

“But now I have you all to myself!” She chirped, hugging Spider by the neck in an over the top, crushing embrace as Spider dramatically pretended to choke. In difference to Lo’ak, her dynamic with Spider while filled with teasing and jokes, is much more gentle and they often find themselves sarcastically (but not really) complementing each-other. The recoms think they’re about to get diabetes but secretly love looking at it. It boosts their morale.

Quaritch actually picks up on some things Kiri tries to teach. He plays it cool but the girl can see the way his ear leans towards her when she speaks, unable to hold back a smirk at the cute display. Her mother couldn’t get through to him, but perhaps she’ll succeed?

Neteyam headcannons:

The recoms are wary of the oldest Sully. While he is still quite playful and chidlish, there is a heavy air of menace around him. He is scheming an escape plan, they know he does, it’s in his every lingering glance, every fake smile and every motion. He is very well behaved but observes the squad like some guinea pigs in a cage and in return, they keep a constant watch on him, always alerted.

It doesn’t help that Neteyam looks like his mother as well, especially to the colonel. Spider vouched for him, said the kid had never murdered anyone before, but his unrelenting stare is the one of a killer and Quaritch refuses to let the boy out of his vision. He always watches him, even with the peripherals.

Out of all the siblings, Spider and Teyam have the worst relationship. It was fine when they were little but as the oldest Sully got burdened with the responsibility of being an heir, their friendship slowly faded into the oblivion and on most days they barely saw each-other. It’s awkward, so awkward in fact that even the squad of highly-trained mercs feel uncomfortable looking at the two teens as they silently try to rebuild that long-lost bond through physical gestures.

The two boys don’t know what to do. They desperately want to be protective of one another, but how do they go about it? Neteyam is the oldest of the Sullys and has experience of taking care of his siblings but Spider on the other hand had always possessed caretaker instincts and, as the older of the two, is morally inclined to ease Neteyam’s mental burden of being trapped with the people who are out to kill his family.

It starts out slow: Neteyam begins putting his hand on Spider’s back or holding his hand when he gets tired and starts lagging behind, and Spider stands between him and the soldiers when they get too agitated by his unnaturally silent, observatory behaviour. They barely talk to one another, but spend a lot of time next to each another and awkwardness slowly changes to comfortable silence as the two reconnect.

At night, Neteyam cradles his smaller sibling when he is deep asleep while guarding him, and in difference from Lo’ak, he doesn’t fall asleep unless he decides to. At all. Quaritch nearly catches a heart attack when he wakes up one night and sees Teyam’s glowing eyes piercing his soul like an animal ready to pounce.

Miles tried to cut the boy some slack, but he looks way too much like Neytiri, and the man can often barely look at him. He knows Neteyam can feel his fear and it’s perhaps the most annoying part about being forced to traverse the wilderness of Pandora next to him.

❤️♣️Husk and Angel 🕸💕

Angel the little!

(Had to post it today, happy birthday, Angel!!! 🎊🥳🎉🎂🎁🎈)

Content warning ⚠️: Will mention things like Self harm, self isolation, depression, DPDR and dissociation, feeling unreal, or like the world is unreal, self hate, paranoia, self isolation, sexual abuse and their affects. Lots of big emotional stuff.. if you're easily triggered by these things, be careful.

Regression Age: 0-4

🕸Angel struggles trusting anyone when he's regressed. People have hurt him very badly...so he's very scared of new people and avoids them whenever he can.

🕸Sometimes Angel will be bratty and act out to test his caregivers. He assumes they'll eventually leave, so he makes it easy for them. Husk isn't any different. But Husk understands this, and he never gives up on Angel no matter what he does.

🕸Angel needs diapers sometimes, and because of that, he thought no one would ever want to take care of him, feeling like he's way too much work. Husk makes sure to tell him over and over again that he's not too much and he enjoys taking care of him. And just because he needs a little more than expected doesn't change anything.

🕸Angel does not let anyone take off his shoes. If they try, he'll cry and beg them not to. Sometimes, it causes him to go full demon mode and bite whoever tried. (People only have to try once before learning.)

🕸Angel, at his oldest, loves causing mischief and pulling pranks on the rest of the group!

🕸little angel does not get along with other littles (at least at first). They take attention from him, and that's just not okay!

🕸He does eventually learn to get along with some of them, but he still gets jealous from time to time.

🕸The only little he actually instantly got along with is Charlie because she reminds him of his sister Molly. 💕

🕸He loves to build forts and play army or war! But he also loves tea parties and playing princesses!

🕸When older, he shoots everyone with water and Nerf guns while they're working or doing anything that isn't paying attention to him.

🕸Then, after Husk took his toy guns away, he used spray bottles instead. 🥰 He will not be stopped! He can only be momentarily delayed.

🕸Angel's second language is eye rolling. He's so sassy!

🕸Angel loves to dress up and even asks others to play dress up with him!

🕸Angel loves tea parties! He especially loves playing tea parties with Pentious and Charlie because it always ends in some type of mysterious tea themed battle!

🕸Angel is prone to nightmares. He'll too often wake up in the middle of the night crying because of it, so Husk has gotten him a baby monitor for their rooms so he can hear the baby spider if he needs him. (He asked Angel first, and he was fine with it. Don't worry.)

🕸He loves stuffed animals- but he wants fat nuggets or Husk to cuddle with at night. A stuffed animal will NOT be good enough for him. Stuffies are for fidgeting and comfort during the day while he's doing other stuff. He needs way more support at night!

That being said, he will sometimes walk around with Fat Nuggets like a stuffed animal and even sometimes Husk. (He's soft 🤷)

🕸Angel's favorite food when little is anything sweet, like cake or ice cream! But sugar makes him crazy, and sometimes he'll eat too much sugar and get sick, so Husk keeps a close eye on him and what he eats to be sure he's healthy.

He also loves Popsicles! So Husk made him some homemade that had less sugar in them.

🕸Angel's favorite drink when little is: strawberry milk or angel milk.

🕸Angel's favorite things to watch are: Peppa Pig, Lilo and stitch (the series, the sequels, all of it!) Animaniacs, Bluey, Loony tunes, Daniel tiger, Ruby gloom, The wiggles, The little mermaid. (He loves all the Disney princess movies, actually, but Ariel is his favorite!)

🕸When Angel is angry, he'll curse in Italian - hoping to avoid anyone understanding so he can avoid punishment...but Husk actually knows some Italian... and definitely knows the curse words. So... that backfired. He'll need to find a new way to curse.

🕸Angel has a special baby blanket. It helps calm him down when he's feeling alone and overwhelmed. It was a gift from Cherri ❤️

🕸⚠️Angel will often dissociate when he's genuinely unhappy with something, as much as Husk would rather if Angel told him how he's feeling, he sometimes can't...he can only dissappear and it will scare Husk sometimes. Not only that, sometimes he feels unreal or like everything around him is unreal... and that is really scary. (DPDR)

🕸Angel deals with rapid mood swings sometimes without a clear reason. He'll start crying without giving a reason, and then a couple hours later, he'll feel completely fine.

🕸⚠️Angel is scared everyone is out to get him, that everyone hates him, and will try to hurt him. Even after he learns to trust Husk, he'll push him away when at his most vulnerable state of mind. During panic attacks or when he's feeling overwhelmed, he knows Husk won't hurt him, but his body doesn't seem to know that, so he'll tell Husk to leave him alone.

🕸⚠️He's scared Husk will abandon him...

🕸⚠️Angel will sometimes hurt himself when he's upset. (Pulling his hair, biting his arm, hitting himself.)

🕸Angel will crawl into bed with Husk when he's scared at night and doesn't want to talk about it.

🕸⚠️Too often, Angel will lie and tell everyone he's okay until it all comes crashing down in the worst ways possible.

🕸Fat nuggets was his first caregiver, and he's still the best caregiver ever.

🕸Cherri has also learned a thing or two while helping Angel. She's really good at helping him calm down and cheering him up.

🕸Little Angel loves Cherri and misses her when she's not around.

🕸He loves it most when he and Husk are cuddling. Nothing makes him feel safer.

🕸Husk is really good at making Angel safe, even if the cat doesn't really believe that.

Husker the caregiver

Husk isn't really a caregiver according to the test, but he chose to be Angel's caregiver anyway because he cares so deeply for him.

He uses caregiving as his way to protect Angel because he can't help but feel protective of him. He drives himself crazy worrying about him constantly.

♥️He cares so much for Angel. He feels a need to protect him and keep him safe at all times!

♣️Husk knows that Angel will throw tantrums and cause problems just so that Husk will pay attention to him. He's currently trying to teach Angel that acting up is not how he gets attention. He needs to ask for it. (Of course, this is a hard lesson to teach because when Angel is upset and acting up on purpose, he can't just ignore him. He doesn't want Angel to think he won't love him just because he doesn't listen or because he has big emotions. That would be wrong!)

♦️Husk will let Angel pet him in order to get the spider to calm down. He'll also sometimes lay on Angel's chest and purr to help Angel with stress and anxiety like a weighted blanket. (Big or little, he's happy to help Angel relax).

♠️Husk is a strict caregiver. He has to be with Angel. Some days are worse than others, sometimes it seems Angel will have to be in a time out or have to write lines every single time he's little, because he'd act out to test Husk's limits. But no matter what Angel throws at him, he never gives up on trying to help him.

♥️Husk does not like peppa pig. He finds it incredibly annoying, but he will watch it if Angel is good or is having a bad day. (Or if Angel begs him enough...because Husk is a bit of a sucker.)

♠️Husk is really good with kids, actually. He's very calm and good with staying calm under pressure, and he's good at listening to them and relating to them.

♦️Husk will often sing to Angel to calm him down or to get him to relax at night. It's the best way to get Angel calm, and he personally loves singing. (His favorite stuff to sing is old Russian lullabies. (Please send recommendations, lol))

♣️Husk worries that he's doing everything wrong and will often turn to Charlie or Vaggie for help and advice.

♥️Angel gives Husk a lot of credit for making him feel accepted and giving him more confidence in his real authentic self... but Angel does the same thing for him. Angel makes him feel wanted and cared about and loved just as much. Angel is his home.

♠️Husk is very respectful of Angel and his boundaries. If Angel tells him he doesn't want to be touched, doesn't want a bath, or doesn't want help getting changed, Husk does not argue with him. He will find a better way to help Angel, which makes him feel more comfortable. Nothing matters more to him. . . Even if sometimes little Angel doesn't always understand that concept himself and will grab him or pull on his fur ... it's a work in progress.

♦️Husk will sing russian songs to Angel and will sometimes speak Russian to him...and Angel actually likes it...but understands none of it whatsoever.

♠️Husk doesn't always know how to help Angel... he's never dealt with anything like Angel has. He does as much research as possible... but it doesn't always help.

❤️Fat nuggets have learned how to take care of Angel and will subtly help Husk too by gesturing to what Angel needs or handing Husk Angel's pacifier instead of just handing it to Angel himself.

Nicknames!

♦️Husk usually calls Angel by his name. But kiddo, malish, little one, and small fry are all things Husk will call him to be more affectionate towards him. He's very careful not to use words that may trigger him, and if he's worried about it- he'll just say it in Russian since Angel can't understand him anyway.

💖Angel calls Husk: "Kitty" when he's regressed. And sometimes "Husky" if he's lucky.

He also calls Charlie ChiChi.

🦌 Alastor will call little Angel: Small one, Bambino, Spiderling, and Araignée

💜Vaggie will sometimes call little angel: "Buddy" "Squirt" "Kiddo" and "Gremlin"

thinking about eddie “the freak” munson, whose macabre demeanor and all-black attire is enough to spook the hawkins high student body, meanwhile, you know he wouldn’t hurt a fly. just because his daddy taught him how to shoot a gun when he was ten years old doesn’t mean shit – eddie knows that nancy wheeler has a better chance of hitting a bullseye than he ever will. hell, he’d probably panic with a pistol in his hand as opposed to his guitar or a sword. at least then, he could pretend to be in hellfire mode.

but no, when the bats attack him, and he runs towards the defense instead of running away from it, he feels as though their sharp teeth are going to be the last thing he feels, puncturing his insides until he bleeds out.

but they don’t get him yet, not before dustin henderson throws a molotov cocktail at the swarm of fuckers so that eddie can slice a spear through a few bats at once. a shrieking roar erupts, which makes eddie follow dustin on his tail back to the portal at the greatest speed he’s ever ran. it’s strange, once he falls through the earth again, back bruising from the stiff, dusty mattress, yet dustin is nowhere to be found. when he opens his eyes, he sees chrissy cunningham floating above him, cracked limbs and bloody eye sockets while he screams and screams and screams.

“eddie! eddie, wake up, please! i’m right here. eddie!”

he jolts awake before vecna even enters the room.

dustin widens his eyes in shock as eddie collapses into your arms, stunned and panting at how quickly he’d just escaped. all from the sound of your voice.

“y/n, how– how did you do that?” dustin demands.

“do what? what the fuck just happened?” you cry, holding your best friend closer into your arms. his head lulls back, blinking rapidly at the fluorescents. anywhere but the hole to hell in the ceiling of his trailer.

“eddie just escaped vecna after you told him to wake up!”

“i-i don’t know what– i didn’t do anything–”

“CODE RED, ASSHOLE!” buzzes through dustin’s walkie, the frantic yells of erica coming through static. everyone’s eyes widen. max.

“dustin, you have to bike to the house,” you say breathlessly.

“what about you guys–”

“i’ll take care of eddie,” you say sternly. and with that, the kid’s wild curls billow into the darkness as you watch from the window.

a sudden lurch from eddie’s chest causes him to double over in pain, clutching his side. a cough of blood. a slight choke. when you turn him over, you see deep cuts torn into his hellfire t-shirt.

“hey. hey. can you hear me, eds? ‘m gonna help you clean up, okay? stay with me.”

he nods with despondence.

“fuck,” he groans as he leans into your shoulder while your arms wrap around his body. it’s embarrassing how such an exclamation can make you blush, especially when your best friend had just gotten attacked by demonic entities. the sight of eddie nearly slipping back into unconsciousness makes your heart want to crumble.

he sets himself down on the floor while you’re quick to run the bath. he watches you carefully, noticing that black sabbath shirt of his that you’re wearing like he hadn’t seen you just hours prior to entering the upside down. was he still in a vision? maybe this was purgatory. or better yet, heaven.

heaven feels a hell of a lot like home considering the aroma of tea tree-scented body wash filling his nose. eddie doesn’t quite remember getting undressed, but he’s somehow shocked to see his bloody sides and the crimson red of the water. like a baptism by the devil.

when he looks up, however, he only sees an angel. you, in your cuffed jeans and combat boots with wet hands combing through his blood-soaked curls, delicate hands rubbing the length of his back. eddie winces when you reach his sides, and when he sees your face, it almost feels like the first time.

“you still here with me, edison?” you murmur.

“man, don’t call me that,” he huffs. your giggle makes him grin. perhaps this is the closest to normalcy the two of you will get for the rest of the night.

“where does it hurt?”

“everywhere,” he responds shakily. “can- can you…”

he swallows a lump in his throat. you question him.

“can y’just get in here with me? please?”

you share a glance that feels like forever.

“i mean, drain the bloody water and shit, first. unless you don’t, uh–”

“okay.”

eddie’s nakedness makes him feel vulnerable, which is new. the two of you have been best friends since middle school. you’d gone skinny-dipping together the summer before senior year even started. why did he suddenly feel his insides melt like his limbs were on fire?

“thanks for saving me back there.” you furrow your brows.

“was that really me? i don’t know how you got out, i didn't play metallica or anything while vecna possessed you. unless you were quick with the good memories? i don’t really know how any of this works,” you ramble, shyly discarding your clothes to step into the new running water. in front of eddie, you hug your knees to your chest as you stare at your toes instead of his big, brown eyes.

“maybe it was just the sound of your voice.”

“yeah, right.”

“magic has no bounds,” eddie shrugs, flashing you a lopsided smile. “you of all people should know that.”

a sheepish grin. with a sly smile, you tuck your head into your knees for a second, but eddie reaches out to coax your hands into his. his calloused palms are rough from all that guitar-playing when for weeks and weeks he’d practiced that damn metallica solo that you couldn’t unhear even in your sleep.

“open your mouth,” you whisper.

“you getting kinky on me now?”

“shut up.”

he parts his lips while you reach over to the back pocket of your jeans strewn in front of the tub. in between two fingers, you hold a joint, to which a tiny lighter ignites it. you hold it to his lips.

“for the pain.”

“really should go into nursing, y’know,” he teases, pearly white showing through his grin. it’s still incredible to you that he can still be himself, a smiling little shit in a way that makes you preen even when he’d just escaped gruesome deaths.

“y/n.” your name echoes in his mouth, bounces off the bathroom walls like a hymn. in this hellscape, the bathtub you submerge yourselves in is the wine-dark sea, maybe, cherry waves rippling in the water from your shared exhales.

“eddie.”

slowly, he leans over. just slightly. close enough for you to notice the crimson of his once-bloody mouth. the smell of pennies. pine-scented shampoo. he gets close to you like you’re the wild animal baring teeth, and briefly you think of that stupid poem you’d copy in your notebook over and over.

sorry about the blood in your mouth, i wish it was mine.

the kiss is not all-consuming, not yet. it isn’t devouring no matter how hard your brain fills with sirens, because it’s all sedated once his hand caresses your jaw, silver rings tickling your earlobe. when your breath hitches, he dives in deeper, tongue slipping into your mouth until you mewl the tiniest bit.

yeah. maybe it really was your voice that brought him back. he’ll remember that for next time.

The Dark Truth About Valentino

Valentino is overall the most evil character in the "Hazbin Hotel" due to outranking all the others and other high ranking Overlord in general, due to his actions darkening the plot of the series and being based on sexual abusers who are depraved and evil people in real life.

However it's also worth noting that Vox is completely aware of Valentino's many abuses and enables him, even going as far as giving him other Sinners to randomly kill when he loses his temper, but while more comedic in mannerism Vox is considerably more malicious than many give him credit for, using manipulation and power to cause evil from a relative distance rather than Valentino's use of rampant, in-person violence.

WHAT MAKES HIM DESPICABLE?

He is rather abusive to his employee Angel Dust, as he rarely lets him leave his studio. To make this even worse, in the music video ADDICT it's made abundantly clear that Valentino really just sees him as a sex object that he sexually abuses and even assaulted.

To make Valentino's abuse of Angel Dust even worse, it seems that his horrible abuse of Angel Dust left him with PTSD, and it's also revealed he's not above torturing him for sick kinks, as Angel mentions in "Welcome to Heaven" that during one of his filmings Valentino put him through waterboarding.

He throws a tantrum like a baby when he finds out Angel is staying at the Hazbin Hotel and aims to just barge into the hotel with a gun to kill everyone inside of it. He is thankfully called out and stopped by Vox. This scene is partly played for laughs, but mostly just shows how much of an unhinged manchild he is.

In "Masquerade", he greets Charlie by non-consensually licking her arm and then suggesting that she should work for him to shoot porn. This makes Charlie incredibly uncomfortable and declines his offer.

After Charlie accidentally sets his movie set on fire, Valentino calls Angel into his dressing room where he proceeds to repeatedly hit and assault Angel, while also breaking him emotionally by reminding Angel that he owns him due to a binding contract and that there's nothing that he can do about it. Valentino then orders Angel to get rid of Charlie from the movie set.

Charlie witnesses this horrific ordeal and becomes so furious that she was about to go into full demon mode and punish Valentino by beating him up, but is stopped when Angel tells her to leave, showing just how much Val has broken him to the point where he has to defend his abuser.

After Charlie leaves, he then forces Angel to do multiple pornography films against his will, leaving him broken down and traumatized. Given how kind and empathetic Charlie usually is towards sinners regardless of their attitude, this is rather telling of how awful Valentino is even by Hell's standards.

While at a sex club called "Consent" trying to convince a girl into working for him, he encounters Angel Dust and Niffty, with Valentino showing interest in having the latter have a role in his films, and when Angel tells Valentino to leave them alone, he uses his chains on Angel and hit him when he stood up to him, saying that he would make Angel pay for what he did the next day at the studio.

To hammer-in just how vile Valentino is compared to most of Hell, even Asmodeus, who the literal embodiment of LUST, is vocal about hating when it is forced such as love potions, this means that Valentino would likely be deeply disliked by Asmodeus despite Valentino's active love of lustful activities, he can be seen as a dark mirror of Asmodeus in a similar fashion, being the traditionally wicked and depraved aspects of lust (while Asmodeus is much more neutral). For all his vices, Asmodeus has far more decency than Valentino does.

So far, he completely lacks any redeeming traits that Alastor, Vox, Velvette and even Adam at least have, making him easily one of the most detestable antagonists in the entire series. Even other characters in the series seem to despise him, such as Husk, Cherri, and especially Charlie. Only Vox and Velvette seem to tolerate him and consider him their friend, but even then they are constantly annoyed by his temper tantrums.
