Au cœur de cette bourgade où les vaches sont plus réputées que les élus locaux, le Chalet-Fruitière de la rue des Désenchantées n’était pas qu’une fromagerie, c’était une institution. Avec sa façade ornée d’une plaque « 1907 », elle a traversé les époques avec la fierté du roquefort et l’arrogance du camembert au lait cru. Un jour, par un après-midi aussi morne que l'expression d'un huissier de justice, le drame s’est joué. Un malheureux concours de circonstances, que certains attribuent à la rébellion d’une raclette trop chauffée, d'autres à un comté suicidaire, transforma la fromagerie en barbecue géant (mais sans inviter personne). L’incendie lécha les murs avec la gourmandise d’un chaton s’attaquant à un pot de crème fraîche. Lorsque les flammes se furent calmées, ne laissant derrière elles qu’une odeur de cendre, le Chalet-Fruitière n’était plus. La façade, naguère blanche comme un fromage de chèvre bien fait, se teintait désormais d'un noir de jais. Madame Pichon, en passant devant les ruines encore fumantes, ne put s’empêcher de lâcher : « Eh ben mon vieux, voilà une fin qui a de la gueule ! Ma foi, ils auraient mieux fait de vendre des extincteurs ! » Et comme ça, sans plus de cérémonie, la fromagerie a tiré sa révérence. Un adieu enfumé qui s’inscrira dans les annales du village comme un prout en pleine messe.

**Important Announcement**

The future of mod-making...

I've been thinking about the future of the Maker's Market for a long time and needed to decide whether continuing to make mods is something I can continue affording financially and with my spare time. But the thought of quitting made me really sad.

Making mods is something I enjoy doing and being able to share them with the community makes me really happy. I know many people would also be sad if things ended here.

Because of things, I've launched a Patreon page for The Grampleton Maker's Market [and other Stardew mods]. This way, I can continue to work on creating the mods and content I'm passionate about while also being able to give players the immersive and well-rounded content they deserve.

My mods will always be free to play, so my Patreon will be focused on relieving a bit of my financial stress while also sharing exclusive behind-the-scenes content, character developments, updates, sneak-peaks, Q+A's, and voting polls regarding the Market and other Stardew mods with my patrons.

I will add more Patreon tiers in the future, but I've decided to keep things simple by starting with two tiers so I don't end up overworking or pressuring myself to pump out content. Thank you all for your generous support and encouragement over the years. I truly appreciate each and every one of you <3

La société Coopérative Laitière de Nébois qui fabriquait du fromage (Comté) et du beurre, a fermé définitivement ses portes en 2012. Aujourd'hui, les locaux sont investis par les chasseurs, des gens pour lesquels je n'ai pas grande estime. Inutile de dire qu'ils régulent et qu'ils sont écolos. J'en ai rien à foutre. Quand j'entends une chasseuse (en plus !) dire ceci : « Tuer des animaux nous permet de rentrer en connexion avec la nature. Chasser un animal c'est l'aimer », je n'ai qu'une envie : lui faire bouffer son fusil à cette conne ! Il faut tout de même savoir que la moitié des 30 millions (!!) d’animaux tués chaque année à la chasse sont des oiseaux sauvages, dont certaines espèces sont en déclin.
