Do you mind if I ask your top 10 favorite characters (can be male or female) from all of the media that you loved (can be anime/manga, books, movies or tv series)? And why do you love them? Sorry if you've answered this question before.....Thanks...
Omg hi! First of all thanks for asking! I haven’t answered this question before and I absolutely do not mind answering this. This is a tough one though because I’ve consumed so much media and love so many characters it’s so difficult to choose but I will give it a shot nonetheless. Also these ten characters are not in any particular order.
Laurent Of Vere: Laurent is introduced as the frigid and dangerous prince of Vere in the book 1 of the captive prince trilogy. I HATED this man on my first reading but as the trilogy progressed, I just fell in love with him. He had an astounding amount of growth and character development. Not to mention his qualities and traits make him an all around admirable character. I may not be putting the characters in this list in order but Laurent is definitely my favourite character of all time.
Fleabag: Fleabag from Fleabag is another character I deeply love. She is funny, she is selfish, she is a tragedy of her own doing. It’s the way she is so deeply flawed yet so damn loveable at the same time that gets me. We are all fleabag at the end of the day aren’t we?
Baz: Baz from Carry On trilogy had to be here like the list won’t be complete without my poor little meow meow. He is one of those few characters who is very very close to my heart and it so hard to not love this dramatic gay vampire. Just love his snark and he is so funny??? I love it so much. Not to mention he truly is one of the kindest characters I’ve read.
Penelope Bunce: Another character from the Carry On trilogy. Penelope means the world to me because as a brown person, I don’t get to read a lot of books which feature brown characters. So seeing a character who is the best friend of the protagonist and has a major role in the series, it’s very refreshing and reassuring to me. Penelope is smart, stubborn, never admits she might be wrong but her growth over the three books is amazing. I will always love her.
Eren Yeager: literally one of the most tragic characters I’ve seen till date. As the protagonist (antagonist? anti hero? Idk anymore) of attack on titan, Eren is one of the most iconic characters I’ve come across till date. His unconditional devotion for his friends and his character arc from being the righteous hero to someone who becomes completely disillusioned by the end, it’s fucking amazing.
Geto Suguru: I have a beef with Jujutsu Kaisen and the reason is that Gege Akutami came up with absolutely amazing characters only to under-utilise and shit on their character arcs with his half assed plot. Surprisingly though, Geto’s character arc is amazing. I love it when heroes lose the sight of their goals and become the villains instead and Geto does that. His character development is really good and I love him for that. Incredibly realistic and refreshing to see.
Jiang Cheng: Jiang Cheng from MDZS remains one of the most relatable characters I’ve come across ever. Like I feel him on a spiritual level. The complexity and depth of his emotions, his actions, being so fucking good but never being good enough… good lord my heart straight up bleeds for him. I will always love Jiang Cheng.
Xue Yang: Hear me out okay. I know Xue Yang from MDZS is a psychopath. I’m not a Xue Yang apologist either. What he did to Xingchen was appalling to say the least. But Xue Yang is undoubtedly an incredibly well written character. He loved or should I say obsessed over XXC in such a sick and twisted way, it made for a very interesting read. The way he deluded even himself into believing that his extreme actions were all to torment XXC and not because he enjoyed his company and liked him… like girl be ffr right now who tf are you kidding. But yeah love me an insane psychotic gremlin.
Violet Evergarden: Violet from Violet Evergarden is one of the most heartbreaking characters I’ve come across and also one of the most unique. I’m a sucker for stories that tell the most human stories and Violet as a child soldier discovering these emotions, thoughts and vivid lives of people while coming to terms with her own trauma really gives her a special place in my heart.
Howl: Howl from Howls Moving Castle is one of my favorites because he is a hot babygirl. As simple as that.
Thanks so much for asking! Sorry it took me a while to get back to you but I hope you liked this list 💗💗💗

Scarf and the man who wanted to be free
If you've read the title you probably know what I am going to write here and it is quite simple. (it's just a predict)
I know that Eren faces a lot of criticism as he should but let's understand a little bit of his character (I really like discussions about this anime/manga because this is really close to our reality)
And by the way
-THIS IS NOT AN CHARACTER ANALYSIS-
It's almost time for me to go to bed so im going to be short and direct.
Tumblr media
Scout regiment: Wings of freedom
Tumblr media
So, what we learn about Eren in the first moments ? That he hates being limited, that he doesnt feel free at all, that he admires the Scout regiment because in a way, they are fighting for freedom.
His whole character is developed around the concept of wanting to be free, pressure, conflict, solitude and love.
Tumblr media
And he has a bittersweet story, I don't know if he is going to survive, but I really hope that people understand him and save him from this darkness and solitude.
And why I use the word Solitude ? I use this word because the people that he loves the most doesn't understand him, sometimes they try, but they don't.
(You can use Reiner as an example of understanding - but it's not the same)
Eren has the WORST burden of all that is - knowing your whole life, he can see the future, and this is worst than the walls, this is not freedom as we can see in the next panels.
He wants to know but it doesnt matter, everything that he is doing was predetermined (in a way - it kind reminds me of Determinism a theory that all events, including moral choices, are completely determined by previously existing causes)
Can you imagine ? And he had a big change of heart but NO ONE went there and had a real talk with him - and no - im not talking about Henge (his superior that put a lot of pressure on his shoulders for him to bear) im talking about his friends.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So know we have a bad situation, Eren has a lot of memories and personas inside of him, because in a way, he has lived a lot of lifes, that is why it was so easy for him to understand Ymir, because he has a burden and he wants to be saved but no one saw this not even his best friend Armin.
Tumblr media
So know, he is doing the worst thing ever, he decided to die a villain so everyone that he loves be free...
I can't
Its just so so sad.
But since this is a predict - I have to go to the point - Do you remember the name os the first chapter ?
"To you, in 2000 years"
When I first saw this I thought to myself that he was crying because in a way he had a nightmare about the titans breaking Wall Maria but know i think that it has something to do with the last chapter of Eren Yeager's life, I bet that this has something to do with the ending.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We all know that the autor loves to do this parallels and time travel events, it makes the story complex and if its done right, its something that will blow your mind.
My Mikasa and Eren conclusion (Predict)
So why do I think that Mikasa and Eren are still not done ?
(Eren's neck exploded in the last released chapter 137)
But he is probably alive, and he is going to have an interaction with Mikasa and that Scarf will be a symbol of salvation.
The first time we see Mikasa not wearing Eren's Scarf I thought that would be a 'character dev' where it simbolizes that she is over him and accepted that he is the enemy, that she is over her feelings (or something like that)
Tumblr media
But more and more I see that she is the only one not giving up on him and I think this timet Mikasa will be the one that saves Eren and the scarf/muffler will act as a symbol for this.
This scarf simbolizes a unspoken love and it is poetic.
Tumblr media
That is it, sry for my english, its my third language and I am sleepy right now.
I hope you share your opnion on this and comment what you think its going to happen in the end.

ah, I'mtrans (he/him pronouns), and was wondering which words I should use for stuff like "I, me, my"? like, boku is my right? I don't know any ohers though.
Hi! Thank you for your ask. First person pronouns (I, me, mine) can get pretty complex in Japanese, but that gives you much more freedom of expression than English. Let me give you a thorough description of each so you can make an informed decision on which one is right for you. :)
First Person Pronouns in Japanese
Tumblr media
Who do you want to be?
In English, we only have one pronoun to express ourselves. “I.” It really doesn’t get any more boring than that.
Maybe that’s why personal pronouns are one of the most interesting aspects of Japanese in my opinion. I actually did a research paper on the history of second-person pronouns (you) in Japanese back in uni.
Why does Japanese have so many ways to say “I?” As I’m sure most of you know, social class and politeness is a fundamental aspect of Japanese culture and language. Different personal pronouns for oneself and others clarify the social standing of each person in the conversation.
I’ll introduce the commonly used ones in order of politeness (most polite to least polite), and then cover the rare ones.
私 Watakushi
Gender: neutral
Plural Form: Watakushi-tachi
This is the most formal personal pronoun, and is used in very formal situations, like when you’re speaking to the president of a company or someone very important. In writing, because it has the same kanji as “watashi,” it is commonly written in hiragana.
私 Watashi
Gender: neutral (kind of)
Plural Form: Watashi-tachi, watashira
This is the most common personal pronoun.
Like the above watakushi, it conveys a sense of politeness. When used by men, it carries a note of humility and politeness.
However, it is the standard pronoun for women. Because we’re all supposed to be humble at all times? haha
So this is gender neutral and you can use it when you want to be polite.
あたし Atashi
Gender: Female
Plural form: Atashi-tachi, atashira
This is a bastardization of watashi.
It is casual and used exclusively by women. It sounds very feminine. In Japanese tv shows and anime, most male characters cross-dressing as women use “atashi” and it sounds very hyper-feminine. Like, if drag is hyper-feminine dress, “atashi” is the hyper-feminine way of speaking that would go with it.
うち Uchi
Gender: Female
Plural: Uchira
This comes from the word 家 uchi. The kanji literally means “house,” but it can be used to mean “my family” or “us” in certain contexts. For example:
English: Tanaka-san, what kind of soy sauce do you use at home? We use Kikkoman.
From that use of uchi we get the personal pronoun uchi. This is generally used by young girls, college age and younger. It definitely has a very Valley Girl feel to it and isn’t professional.
僕 Boku
Gender: Mostly male, but female in certain contexts
Plural: Boku-tachi, bokura
If you want to rely on tropes to understand what sort of person would use “boku,” think of those harem anime. The nicest, sweetest guy almost always uses “boku” for himself. Contrasted with “ore,” it sounds softer, humbler, and kinder.
It can also sound very slightly childish. Well, not childish. It sounds young. My boss’s boss, who is in his 60′s, uses boku instead of ore and it always strikes me as peculiar because he’s kinda too old to use boku. It makes him sound very humble and kind and the most approachable person ever.
Boku is a good pronoun to use if you want to give off a soft, friendly, safe aura. While it isn’t as polite as watashi, you can still use it in formal settings.
Occasionally, this pronoun is used by women. Specifically, it is used by female singers. It doesn’t matter the band, it doesn’t matter the song–every single female singer uses “boku” in their songs to refer to themselves.
“Why?” you may ask. This is because singers want to connect to their listeners, and “watashi” is too formal and creates a bit of a barrier. “Atashi” and “uchi” are too feminine/childish, and “ore” is way too harsh. So “boku” became the choice for female singers.
俺 Ore
Gender: Male
Plural: Orera, ore-tachi
Going back to anime tropes, “ore” is used by the “bad boy” or the “I don’t give a shit what you think” boy. Inuyasha, Kurosaki Ichigo (Bleach), and Eren Yeager (Attack on Titan) all use “ore.” This is in contrast to “nicer” characters in the shows that use “boku,” like Miroku (Inuyasha), Ishida Uryuu (Bleach), and Armin Arlert (Attack on Titan).
Ore is considered “rough and tough” because it is very informal. It is used when the people you are talking to are within your inner circle or are beneath you. So you would never use it when talking to, say, your boss’s boss. (You might be able to use it with your boss if you are close with him and you have a friendship though.)
That said, the vast majority of Japanese men I know use ore more than boku. So it wouldn’t be strange if you used ore. Just be aware that it isn’t as polite as you may want to be.
And now for the rare pronouns…
Disclaimer: DON’T USE THESE. Japanese people will think you’re super weird and not in a good way. But you are likely to hear them in anime, dramas, or conversations.
Tumblr media
👆 Me outside your door if you use “sessha” to refer to yourself unironically
拙者 Sessha
Literally “Unskilled one,” this is a very humble way to refer to yourself. It was commonly used by samurai, and probably the most famous anime character that uses it is Kenshin from Ruroni Kenshin. DO. NOT. USE. IT. unless you are jokingly pretending to be a samurai for like one sentence.
吾輩 Wagahai
Though no longer in common usage, there isn’t a Japanese person that isn’t aware of this pronoun because of Natsume Soseki’s famous book Wagahai ha Neko de Aru (I Am a Cat). Written in 1905, it’s about a cat who observes its owners and the uneasy mix of Western culture and Japanese traditions and the aping of Western customs.
“Wagahai” is the pronoun a nobleman or someone of very high rank would use to refer to himself, so the fact that a common house cat is using it to refer it self shows that, even a hundred years ago, everyone thought that cats were self-important.
我 Ware
Plural: 我々 Wareware, 我ら Warera
To be honest, I don’t know a lot about this one. You hear it quite a bit in anime, and it’s always said by some stuffy important old guy. So…it’s probably for stuffy, old, important men to use? Just don’t use it.
己 Ora
Used exclusively by men, the only somewhat main character I’ve seen use this pronoun is King from Seven Deadly Sins. In manga, it is usually written in hiragana or katakana. It has a very “country bumpkin” feel to it. A simple country person who doesn’t know the ways of the world (but not in a bad way).
俺様 Oresama
DO NOT USE THIS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. It is the rudest personal pronoun “ore” with the honorific “sama” attached to it.There is nothing ruder, nothing more “you are the dirt I walk upon” than this. If you use this and you’re not joking, the Japanese people around you will instantly dislike you.
儂 Washi
Usually written in hiragana or katakana, “washi” is the way that old people refer to themselves. It’s gender-neutral. Like…idk, 60 and upwards? So don’t use this unless you fall into that age range.
某 Soregashi
I think I’ve only seen this once, used by a character in Rurouni Kenshin who was quickly killed. It was used by samurai. So unless YOU are a samurai from 150 years ago, don’t use it. It’s so low frequency that if you used it as a joke I doubt Japanese people would understand. But hey. You learned a cool new word.
The End!
I hope that this post helps you choose the pronoun that fits you best. ♡

Blanket Fort
Eren and Armin spend their date night in a blanket fort.
A short fic dedicated to @megumegufire because idk she’s great and I wanted to give her something ;3;
Enjoy if you can! (has some sexual themes<3)
Eren stirred the curry he was cooking with a smile, declaring it finished just in time for Armin to get home from work any minute now. Friday was his favorite day of the week. He had the day off to stay home, rest up, clean around the apartment, get a nice dinner together, and prepare for his night with Armin. Friday usually meant marathoning a show or movie series, playing games, sharing a hot bath, or having shameless, passionate sex, whatever they could enjoy doing together at home for a night. Tonight, they planned on watching Samurai Flamenco yet again, Armin’s favorite anime and one even Eren was starting to quote in Japanese for how often they’d seen it together. And such an occasion called for curry, using an Indian recipe that Eren finally had the chance to try out. “Hope he likes it… Hmm… Better add a little more pepper just in case…” he thought to himself, never really sure when a dish was spicy enough to suit Armin’s zest for it.
Suddenly, the sound of a key turning the lock on the door hit the air and Eren grinned to himself for his beloved’s return. He quickly removed his apron and rushed to meet him at the door before it even opened, but within a second, the dripping wet blond man came in, shaking his umbrella a little before placing it in the stand.
“There he is! Ah, I guess the storm caught you, huh? Anyway, welcome home.” he purred with a sultry voice, preparing to go in for a kiss right away. But he stopped short at the sight of Armin’s face as he looked up to meet his gaze.
Armin’s face was wet from the rain, but more so, the red eyes and puffy cheeks made it clear that he’d been crying, further confirmed by his pouty frown.
Such an image tugged at Eren’s heart and he wordlessly pulled him into a hug, reciprocated by Armin in full as he buried his face in his chest. Still without even hearing what was wrong, Eren then pulled away to suggest exactly what he knew Armin would need. “Blanket fort?”
“Mm.” the sniffling man nodded.
And Eren set to work right away…
Blanket forts were something fun the pair had indulged in for as long as they’d known each other. Though their bodies had aged, their hearts were still young, or at least Armin’s was, and thus blanket forts were an old habit between them that never died. Truthfully, Eren might’ve outgrown it or set it aside as he’d gotten older, but Armin Arlert was his lover, and no one appreciated Armin’s magical ability to renew a heart’s spirit with fun and free spirited activities more than Eren Yeager. And thus he never lost his own fondness for blanket forts either. It was only cozier now that they were older and bigger and filling up such a tiny warm space, and they were even more fun now that they were seasoned enough at the craft to add more embellishments to it, like Christmas lights, and a second “room”, and a back door to head to the restroom. They also had plenty of extra blankets, sheets, and pillows on hand for just such an occasion as this when an emergency blanket fort was required. While Armin showered and slipped into his most comfortable pajamas, Eren laid out the big futon, pillows, set up the couch cushions, hung the sheets, blankets, and soft lights, set up the laptop for their marathon, and put together their dinner trays to be eaten inside the fort. Armin soon walked out of the bathroom in soft, baggy lounging clothes, wiping his eyes.
“Hey…” Eren greeted in a soft voice. “Feeling any better now that you’re out of that wet work suit?”
Armin shook his head no.
“Ah… Well, hey, come here.” he continued, opening his arms as he walked towards him, though Armin ran to close the gap between them right away, hugging him just as tight as before. Eren’s hand rested on Armin’s head as he held him close, feeling a little dampness seep into his shirt since Armin was still a little weepy. “It’s okay… I’m here, and you’re here, everything’s okay. You wanna talk about it yet?” He felt Armin’s head shake no again. “That’s okay. All the ugliness is outside now, you’re home and safe with me.” he cooed, and kissed his head before pulling away to smile at him.
Armin wiped his eyes again to find that smile in clear view as he looked up at his tall sweetheart. And like Eren’s magic always did, it managed to make him smile a little again himself.
“Come on, let’s go eat this dinner before it gets cold.”
The pair sat inside the blanket fort, enjoying their dinner for 2 and Armin indeed couldn’t compliment Eren enough on his new recipe, and for adding the perfect amount of spice to suit him. But soon enough, after the curry started to warm him up again, Armin managed to get the topic of his bad day out of the way.
“I came in late and my boss yelled at me. And you know I can endure a lot, but today it just really cut me. He said he was sick of me wasting his time there with half assed work, knowing my priority wasn’t with the company. And I think the reason it hurt me this time was because… he’s right.” he sighed. “I don’t care about this company. I don’t care about the numbers, I don’t care about the profits, I don’t care about any of this endless boring work I have to do every day. I was late for no good reason too. I stopped to just stand outside and stare at the people going by. Smell the air, watch the dogs and the kids play. Watch the kind old people contrast with the mean ones. I saw a pretzel stand near by and decided to grab one before I went in, just to nibble on something throughout the day since I was already late and I’d have to work through lunch. And it just- really stung. He called me out and chewed me out. And I swallowed it, apologized, got straight to work and kept my head down for the rest of the day. I hate it there, Eren… I really do. It’s the polar opposite of how I wanted to spend my life. I wanted to see the world with you, I wanted to already be traveling with you, but we’re stuck here… And as I walked home, I just started crying. I didn’t even bother opening my umbrella ‘cause I just didn’t care anymore. I cried because my worst nightmare is starting to look like reality and I just have to face the facts: I may not get to travel with you at all any time soon… Maybe ever at this rate. All because I can’t just bring myself to fake it at work the way I should.”
“…Armi–”
“I was really worried about facing you tonight. I know you hate standing still and I know you hate when I lose my faith, but it just–”
“Armin.” Eren addressed him firmly but ever gently as he lovingly placed his hand over his.
Armin’s tears had begun to well up again, but Eren’s sweeping thumb brushed them away before they could begin to fall.
Eren continued with a soft smile. “First of all, you have every right to hate your job, cuz it sucks. I don’t blame you for taking it slow today, they’ve worked you hard ever since you got there, and they definitely don’t pay you enough to just dedicate your heart to it Monday through Friday for 8 hour days. I’m proud of you for rebelling a little. That took a lot of guts! That’s quite the opposite of standing still, don’t you think?”
Armin blushed… both with flattery and embarrassment for thinking so little of himself as usual. He never forgot to be thankful that he had Eren to pull him out of his inferiority complex at the end of days like these.
Eren went on. “And second of all, it won’t be forever. We will definitely travel. Soon in fact! Remember? After our Christmas bonuses added up, we’re already 3 quarters of the way there in our travel funds! And I know you’re a great writer, so that proto draft you sent the publishers in that city I can’t pronounce is sure to leave a good impression at the very least! You definitely won’t be doing this job forever. If it’s draining you that much though, I say either demand a raise or ask for less straining shifts since this current one is so hard on you. And if this basketball season turns out as good as the football season, I can definitely ask the school to give me another raise. Really, so long as you don’t mind living in this shitty place for just a little longer, we’ll be set quite soon. I believe in us. At the very least I believe in you, anyway.”
“…” Armin’s tears fell again, but this time over a smile instead of a frown.
“More curry?”
He nodded yes and smiled to himself in thought as he watched his husband leave to refill his tray and waited for him to come back, no longer worrying or caring about this awful day. Just beaming brightly with thoughts about Eren and how much he loved him as his heart fluttered in his chest as much as it always did, no matter how long they were together. And just counting the seconds before that handsome man of his would return to the blanket fort.
“Ta-daa!” Eren sang as the plushy fort curtain opened again, and placed a second helping of hot curry in front of Armin, whom ate it swiftly with a healthy smile and sparkling eyes. Eren smiled to himself, so happy to see Armin happy again and eating like a happy person.
The talk about work then quickly turned into a happy chat about Armin’s manga, and where he should take the story between the first and third quarter. Eren suggested a battle with the female character on the enemy’s side since not only was Armin good at writing for women, but also found good female characters to be quite well received since they’re such a frustratingly fresh concept in entertainment media. Armin concurred and thought excitedly about how to use her emotional depth to it’s fullest while Eren rattled on about wanting to see a cool fight scene with her against the protagonists. With no longer a trace of sadness in the air at all, Eren suggested it was time to eat dessert while they marathoned their anime. Now the air was filled with the pair exchanging theories about Goto’s mysterious girlfriend and at what point he really began to fall for Masayoshi, between Eren chuckling over and over again “Look, it’s us! Wow, this is just us! Masayoshi Kun is just like you!” to which Armin would always blush and reply, “Yep, that’s us! But I like you so much better than Goto San”, a compliment that made Eren quite proud. They’d poked the brownie bon bons into each other’s mouths until they’d eaten them all before they knew it, and decided to skip to the final arc to conclude the series before bed time. But after all that sugar and spice, they couldn’t be bothered to sleep any time soon.
Rather, they’d sparred in a small pillow fight before simply lying on their backs to chat endlessly about anything and everything while they mindlessly made shadow puppets on the blanket ceiling above them. Their affectionately interlocked hands rested between them, while Armin’s leg rested over Eren’s, with his foot and toes brushing up against his.
“So why does it smell different when it’s going to rain? That’s true, right? Not just a thing old people made up?” Eren asked, forming what he deemed a puppy shadow puppet above them.
“Haha, it’s true, and it’s because the plants release a certain smell before the rain falls, because of the low pressure in the air.”
“Wow, no kidding? Fuck.”
“Pretty cool right?” he chuckled.
“Sucks if you’re on the ocean then. Was there a way to tell for rain before barometers or whatever were invented if you were on the sea?”
“Ever hear the phrase "Red sky at night, sailor’s delight, red sky at morning, sailors take warning”?“ Armin inquired as he made his bunny shadow puppet kiss Eren’s puppy during a game of shadow tag.
"Ahhh, yeah! That’s really fucking cool! How’s that work?”
“It has to do with the moisture in the air and what the sun reflects.”
“No shit… That’s awesome.”
“Haha, I’m glad we can just fly over the ocean though, so getting caught in a storm at sea is no longer a required fear for the traveling man. I do wish we could take our trips by sea, though…” Armin lamented.
“I’m sorry, Aru… Someday when your manga takes off and we can work from anywhere in the world, we’ll travel by ship.”
“There’s a dream…” he sighed with a smile.
“Come on, now. It definitely won’t come true if you don’t believe in it. Isn’t that what you taught me?” Eren playfully bantered, turning his head to look at his husband.
Armin’s eyes met his and he smiled again. “I didn’t mean that I didn’t believe in it… I just… I want it so bad, Eren… I want that future with you so much it aches sometimes. Because we aren’t there right now.”
Eren retired his shadow puppet and brought that hand to Armin’s face to cup his cheek, pulling him in for a tender kiss. “Well, in the mean time, we’re here right now. And I don’t think that’s so bad, all things considered. I mean we’re trapped, and it sucks, but… You’re here with me. So I can make it work until that day finally comes when we’re free. How about you?”
Armin’s eyes shined like stars for this man who reminded him continuously to keep dreaming. He pulled Eren into his arms and helped himself to a long, indulgent kiss, followed by a few words with a big promise. “As long you’re with me, I can handle the wait.”
“Mmm… That’s my Armin…” Eren hummed, and pulled him in for yet another kiss… and another, and another, and another, each one deeper than the last, with his tongue tangling with Armin’s as much as his legs were tangling with his. As he slipped his thigh between Armin’s legs and found the warm, hard protrusion he was hoping to feel, he hummed that special hum of his into Armin’s lips before pulling away with a wet pop. “Mmmmmh… Good thing I stocked up on our "goodies” yesterday.“
Armin moaned a meaningless, yearning sound as he pulled Eren back to his lips, running his hands over his back and through his hair, and desperately pressing Eren into the pillows surrounding them, looking forward to leaving a special impression on this sacred blanket fort.
With the smell of sex and coconut oil in the air, the lights out, and only the gentle rain outside to serenade them, Armin lay quietly in Eren’s arms, almost lulling off to sleep as Eren’s gentle breathing moved him up and down… Eren combed his fingers through the strands of Armin’s hair habitually while his other hand rested on Armin’s back and indulged in the feeling of Armin’s own breathing. Rise and fall, rise and fall, rise and fall… As Eren finally closed his eyes, giving in to the warmth and safety of this fort, and feeling completely one with Armin under their soft blanket, he drifted off to sleep, dreaming of the ocean. Dreaming of the waves moving up and down, rising and falling, with Armin in his arms, as it carried them across the world to their dreams…
"Eren…” he began, the only voice Eren could hear in this whole dream. “I love you.”
“I love you too…”
And nothing could take that dream away.
A/N:
Yes, Armin is writing Shingeki No Kyojin. This is a headcanon of mine that I’m sure you all know by now lmao. Yes, it lands a publisher and in a few years, they are happily traveling, and have a home base in Japan.
Eren playing housewife is so precious to me, sorry, I can’t help it… He is a coach for a big highschool somewhere in town, best he can do after his own sports related injuries rendering him a useless athlete (another old headcanon of mine that I’m sure you all know by now lmao).

25 of The Best Anime on Netflix
Netflix is all the rage in the days of COVID-19 and quarantine.
With hundreds of shows available for streaming, it is little wonder Netflix has seen a spike in viewership. It is no secret that many of the shows on Netflix have such a huge following; the genre classifications on the popular streaming platform are rather comprehensive.
Anime is one of those genres, and if you have never watched an anime, you are missing out. Contrary to popular belief, animes are not just for children. Anime for adults has been around for a long time, and there is something for everyone. Here's our list of 25 of the best anime on Netflix.
25 of The Best Anime On Netflix
Saint Seiya
Saint Seiya is one of those animes that only works because it is an anime. Follow the Knights of the Zodiac as they fight on behalf of the Greek goddess Athena. This anime is just cool. The fights are sweet in this show, and the twist on Greek lore is refreshing and fun.
It is difficult to find any English versions of this anime (subbed or dubbed), and fans should take advantage of this rare opportunity and enjoy this unique anime.
Neon Genisis Evangelion
Neon Genisis Evangelion is an OG in mecha animes. The anime focuses on the struggles of preventing the apocalypse by showing 14-year-olds battling Angels (titan-esque creatures that want to destroy humanity) in giant robots.
Explaining the plot is beyond difficult, and in all honesty, it is easier just to watch it, you won't regret it.
The story is fantastic and hard to find in the US (literally). The story and characters are complex, making this show and its spin-off movies (also on Netflix) worth the watch.
Fate/Zero
Fate/Zero is one of the many adaptations of the Fate manga franchise, but it is, in my opinion, one of the best. The adaptation is full of mythological references, so brush up before you start watching this one.
The show name drops figures like Alexander the Great, King Arthur, and Gilgamesh. The characters are all battling for the mythical Holy Grail, and the battles are titanic. Magic, swordplay, and philosophy are the hallmarks of this series. What's not to love?
Bleach
Bleach is an anime with a focus on sword fighting. Virtually every battle that takes place involves at least one person with a sword. Don't let that description turn you off though, these aren't your average swords, and this isn't your average anime. Kurosaki Ichigo is a high school boy with the ability to see spirits.
He meets a soul reaper (aka shinigami) and gains the powers of one during the encounter. Shinigamis are the sword wielders in this series, and their swords are in a class of their own.
This is a brilliant anime and with five seasons currently available on Netflix and the nine soon-to-be-available, making all 17 seasons available for your viewing pleasure. On a plus note, there has been news recently stating that the anime would be rebooted, with more seasons, based on the manga coming in 2021, so binge it now and be ready for the new seasons to come.
One Piece
One Piece is an anime that outdoes itself. It is one of the longest animes ever, with over 900 episodes. This hilarious shōnen anime is iconic. The characters are complex and loveable; the story is broad, and the plot is ridiculous.
Follow Monkey D. Luffy and his pirate crew as they travel the world, battling the Navy, defying the World Government, and facing off against rival pirates on their journey to become the greatest pirate crew of all time.
The anime has been around for years, and it has remained popular throughout its tenure, and it is still ongoing. This anime is a must-see and is worth every minute of time spent binging it.
Full Metal Alchemist and Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood
Full Metal Alchemist and Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood are classic. The story focuses on two brothers, Ed and Al, as they strive to master the art of alchemy. The brothers' origins are heartbreaking, and their story is riveting.
The array of characters in this show only adds the appeal, with even the villains being more than they first appear. Their alchemical abilities are put to the test as they battle other alchemists and their creations. This is an amazing series, and there's a reason it is one of the most popular shōnen animes ever.
Attack on Titan
Beware, Attack on Titan is heavy. This anime is amazing and is hands down worth the watch, but be forewarned; there is a lot of death and gore in this series. Humanity has been pushed to the brink as they battle to survive against the Titans.
Titans are large humanoid creatures who consume humans. Their origins are a mystery, and the damage they deal out is catastrophic. Eren Yeager is the lead of this series, and his is a complex story.
He and his friends fight to survive in this Titan riddled world. They work as Titan hunters and attempt to discover the Titan's origins and the key to their demise. The series is heart-wrenching, devastating, and action-packed. It is a great series, but it is not for the faint-hearted.
Death Note
Death Note is an anime that explores just how twisted people can be. The show follows the story of Light Yagami after he finds a mysterious notebook called the Death Note. The Death Note is a dangerous artifact as it causes the death of any person whose name is written on its pages.
Light begins the story by trying to use the notebook for good, but quickly spirals down a dark path where he tries to create a utopia where he is the god of death. His journey is twisted, and he finds himself hounded by a brilliant detective, known as L.
Their cat-and-mouse chase is riveting; fans will find themselves on the edges of their seats in this masterful series.
Inuyasha
Inuyasha is an anime that delves into the lore of ancient Japan. Featuring time travel romances, demons, witches, and a myriad of Japanese yokai, Inuyasha has a little bit of everything.
Kagome is the reincarnation of a Japanese priestess who battled demons and yokai in ancient Japan. She accidentally travels in time back to ancient Japan, where she encounters the half-demon Inuyasha. Their time travels and antics are amazing, and this anime is well worth the watch.
Hunter X Hunter
Hunter X Hunter is an excellent anime for fans of gratuitous action. Hunters are warriors who travel around locating rare animals, taking bounties, and finding treasure.
The version on Netflix is from the 2011 adaptation of the manga (there is another, but it is not on Netflix). The fights are epic in this series, and the protagonist's journey to becoming a great hunter is engaging, to say the least.
The heroes struggle to become a hunter and follow in his father's footsteps is engaging, and the over-the-top fight scenes are pretty fun to watch.
Ouran High School Host Club
Ouran High School Host Club is an undoubted one-of-a-kind anime. The show is pretty woke and way before its time since it came out in 2006. The show's hilarious cast and absurd premise are great for days of laughter.
The heroine, Haruhi Fujioka, is amazing. She is gender fluid and spends a significant portion of the first episode and the rest of the show being mistaken for and treated like a man. The show is full of LGBTQ themes and characters, and it is an absolute delight to watch.
Naruto and Naruto: Shippuden
Want a show that will test the limits of your binge-watching abilities? Then you want Naruto. With over 700—yes, you read that right—episodes in the series, Naruto is a binge-watch that is amazing to watch but requires real dedication to get all the way through.
Naruto and his friends are amazing, and 700+ episodes mean plenty of character development, complex plots, and epic battles. You can watch hours of the ninja run that went viral, all while enjoying the adventures of a ninja boy and his friends. This shōnen anime is a classic.
One Punch Man
Marvel vs. DC? Who needs that noise, when you can watch One Punch Man instead? This comedic action anime is perfect for fans of movies like Thor: Ragnarok. Saitama (aka One Punch Man) struggles with being overpowered (aka OP) and finding himself feeling unfulfilled with being a superhero.
It's hard being a hero who can beat any opponent with a single punch, and this show encapsulates the very human feeling of unfulfillment in the face of unrealized expectations.
His battles are epic, and his story is both hilarious and empathy invoking. This is a great show, and if you love superheroes, this is the anime for you.
The Disastrous Life of Saiki K
Internal monologue, much? Trust me; you've got nothing on The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. Follow the journey of a psychic teenager named Saiki as he struggles to live a normal life while hiding his psychic abilities.
His deadpan delivery, poker-faced panic, and teen angst make him the kind of protagonist we can all relate to. Full of mundane antics, excess internal monologuing, and moody teenage angst, The Disastrous Life of Saiki K is an excellent series for any binge.
Pokémon
There are multiple Pokémon series available on Netflix, and like most Pokémon products, they're all great. Follow Ash and his friends as they struggle to become master Pokémon trainers.
Even though Ash has never actually been an excellent Pokémon trainer, his determination to keep on trying to be one is delightful. This series is full of nostalgia and feel-good vibes. It is a great series, perfect for adults and kids, that never goes out of style.
Aggretsuko
Some shows speak to us with painful realism, and Aggretsuko is definitely one of them. Retsuko, the protagonist, copes with real-world struggles, like a crappy job, with heavy metal karaoke. Her transformations when she sings and the painfully real struggles she faces are what make this show great.
Being a millennial can be hard; the struggle is so real sometimes, and this anime catches that perfectly. The struggles of young people in the workplace, in the dating scene, and navigating friendships are told beautifully in this comedic anime. It helps that the music is good, too.
Your Lie in April
If you love classical music and the emotions it evokes, then you'll love (and hate) Your Lie in April. Get ready to get hit in the feels, everybody. The anime focuses on a young piano prodigy who loses his demanding mother to a long-term illness and then loses his ability to hear music.
The anime follows his story many years later after he meets and falls in love with a violinist. This anime uses music to its fullest capacity, often using instrumental numbers to convey the characters' deep and complex feelings.
No character in this story is shallow; all of them have complex emotions and arcs. Break out your tissues and comfort chocolates as you follow this beautiful story of loss and love.
Devilman Crybaby
Devilman Crybaby is an anime whose premise is the most PG thing about it. Featuring a teenage boy who is possessed by a demon, this series is dark, harsh, and chaotic. An odd mix of humor, moral dilemmas, and the trials of puberty make this anime for adults only.
This is a brutal story, showcasing the depravity of humans and demons and the struggle that comes with growing up in a world that leaves you unprepared for both.
Castlevania
This Netflix original anime is based on the video game with the same name. It is based on the story of Dracula, meaning it is bloody, violent, and heartbreaking. This is not, however, your mother's Dracula story.
If you have never played the video game, then the lore here will be new to you, but don't let the lack of gaming experience stop you. This anime is nail-biting, and discovering the lore while you watch is half the fun.
With three seasons so far and a fourth on the way, Castlevania is going an amazing adaptation to the popular Konami video game series.
Violet Evergarden
Anyone who ever claimed that anime is just for kids has never heard of Violet Evergarden. This anime deals with a post-war world and the difficulties of those who survived the conflict. Violet is a traumatized former child soldier, who lost her arms in war and with them her childhood, and emotions.
Her story continues as she struggles to reconnect with her emotions as overcome her trauma with the power of writing, support, and therapy. Few animes (or stories) capture the horrors of war, the power of therapy, and the sheer trauma of war and its aftermath the way Violet Evergarden does.
Little Witch Academia
Fans of Harry Potter will find themselves enchanted by this adorable anime. The show's protagonist, Akko, is a delight. Her plucky spirit, indomitable spirit, and unbridled love for her friends are heartwarming. Akko is charmingly clumsy and inspiring in her journey to master magic and become a great witch.
Fans can't help but be delighted by her personality and one-of-a-kind friendships. Cute characters and charming storytelling are the hallmarks of this adorable shoujo series, and shoujo fans are sure to be delighted by this wonderful addition to the genre.
Kill La Kill
Few animes are as controversial as Kill La Kill. Unlike most controversial animes, the issue doesn't lie with the plot, relationships, or gore, but the shameless fan-service the costumes provide.
It is an odd controversy for a show that passes both the Bechdel and Reverse Bechdel test—if you are not familiar with the test, look it up, it will change how you look at the shows you watch. The take on combat is unique in Kill La Kill, where clothes are what grant characters superpowers.
Shameless fan service aside, the show tackles issue surrounding body image, fashion, and mental health, making it an interesting show all around.
March Comes Like A Lion
March Comes Like A Lion is an anime whose art is unique in every way. The anime features Rei, a 17-year-old Shogi player, who struggles after losing his family. The art style of this anime is fluid; it changes to reflect the emotional struggles Rei faces. It conveys deeper meaning to his emotional turmoil.
The style goes from gorgeous watercolor backgrounds and to stark black and white sketches as we watch Rei attempt to cope with loss. It is truly amazing to see this blend of storytelling and art. This amine is in a league of its own and is worth the watch.
K-On!
This is one of those animes that makes you feel good. A girl's light music club is in danger of closing, and this anime showcases their struggles to gain enough members to stay open and the difficulties they face as average high schoolers.
It is a cute anime, and it is loads of fun to watch. The music is nice, and the story gives out tons of feel-good vibes. Enjoy the array of J-pop, while watching this band of girls navigates high school, friendships, and coming-of-age.
Bonus Time!
I've added a bonus title to our list because there has been a lot of debate on whether this show is an anime or not. Personally, I don't care how the show is classified; it is amazing either way.
Avatar The Last Airbender
This show was recently added to Netflix, and within days it was number one on viewership. Avatar The Last Airbender is absolutely fantastic. It has a diverse cast, truly amazing character arcs, and a story that captures audiences years later.
There's plenty to love in this series, and the influences from Japan and China are obvious throughout this series. Anime or not (depending on which side of the debate you are on), it is undeniable that this show is 100% worth watching.
Fall in love with Aang and the gaang—yes, they do call themselves that—as they help Aang master all four elements and become a fully realized Avatar and save the world.
Bottom Line
Dubbed or subbed, any one of these animes is suitable for any binge. Whether you are already an otaku—you know who you are— or an anime newbie, any of these fantastic animes is sure to provide hours of quality coach time.
That's our list. Please enjoy the full array of anime available on Netflix; there are others, not this list, that is still pretty good. Have a favorite anime from Netflix not on the list? Comment below!
