When he was really little he wanted to be like his father (which is, depending on the universe, always generally terrifying to other adults in his vicinity. Orion’s just an intimidating wizard aristocrat in canon-adjacent universes and an intimidating lawyer/judge in muggle ones). Later, he figured he’d become a teacher of run a shop/rescue along the lines of The Magical Menagerie, but then the war happened and he got arrested and after he got out, he had to 1) lay low, and 2) couldn’t think of anything but Harry so everything just sort of fell through.
their favourite kind of weather
Slightly rainy, not too cold, not very windy. So he can breathe. Padfoot likes it too (PUDDLES and MUD)
their singing voice
Incredible, tbh. He’s got this low, smooth voice that’s perfect for lullabies and a solo ballad. He rarely sings though.

Carey Bear, what are your favorite movies?
Carewyn: "Well, my favorite film of all time is To Kill a Mockingbird. I only saw it as an adult, after Mum recommended the book to me, but I just found it so powerful. There have been times, working my own cases, where I tried very hard to evoke Atticus Finch while making my closing arguments."
[Carewyn giggles a bit behind her hand.]
Carewyn: "Most often, though, when it comes to films, I tend to lean toward musicals. I loved Mary Poppins most when I was little -- I loved the idea of a witch who flew all over and helped families with their problems."
I wanted to be like that too one day.
Carewyn: "(shrugs) But I like others too. Labyrinth has always been one of my favorites. And The Wizard of Oz -- I even dressed as Glinda for my first real Halloween. Elton John's worked on some wonderful animated movies too, in recent years...The Lion King, The Road to El Dorado? Both fantastic. Diego tends to go with me to see most live-action movie musicals...especially the ones with good dance choreography. When Moulin Rouge! came out, Diego had already seen it twice by the time he asked me if I wanted to go see it."
[Cue a very broad, amused, but still rather fond grin peeking out behind Carewyn's hand.]
Carewyn: "I also really liked the How to Train Your Dragon films -- Charlie begged me to take him to see the first one, and then the other two right after, and even if the dragons in those films are nothing like actual dragons, we both really liked them a lot. I even ended up giving Charlie a Toothless plush one Christmas."
[Her eyes sparkle remembering just how happy Charlie was, unwrapping that gift.]
Carewyn: "When Orion comes over to spend the night at my place, sometimes we'll sit on the couch under some blankets and watch some TV, before heading to bed. That's how we came across The Fellowship of the Ring, one time. We both liked it so much that I went ahead and rented its two sequels so we could finish the series, after Orion came back from the World Cup..."
[Carewyn's favorite character in the series had been Aragorn -- she loved how much the film's portrayal reminded her of her partner.]
Carewyn: "And thanks to Erik, I've now watched both the original Star Wars trilogy and its prequel trilogy!"
Not really my thing...but I love how passionate Erik gets about it.

"Because you," Orion jabbed a finger at me. "Don't speak to me when you are upset. You feign illness and go to bed."
I reared back. "And you do? Ri-"
"That's not my name." They cut me off fiercely.
"Fine," I said, imitating their sweet as sugar voice. "Gideon." Their anger flared and for a moment I really believed they meant to lunge at me. But then, their shoulders dropped and a harsh breath escaped their lungs.
"No." Orion said simply, meeting my gaze with the special kind of determination reserved for me and only me. "I know what you're doing. You are trying to get me to lose my temper. I won't."
"Really?" I mocked. "You've done it so many times before." A flash of colour ran into their face but Orion, impressively, pushed it down.

I feel like my music taste is a bit… eclectic?
Big BIG into showtunes. Cats, Phantom, Jesus Christ Superstar (I guess I really like Andrew Lloyd Webber...)
I’m coocoo for Starkid and all their musicals. I listen to the Twisted and Trail to Oregon soundtrack on repeat.
If I could seriously recommend anything it would be their Hatchetfield musicals, including their nightmare time series which has some killer songs.
One of my favourite bands is definitely The Orion Experience, they’re so groovy and I love literally every song they put out.
I listen to a lot of instrumentals too? Mostly Celtic folk music (I play a LOT of dnd) but I like video game soundtracks too. The Darkside Detective soundtrack is great if you like spooky funky synth.
Very unashamedly listen to the Bluey album all the time. Dance mode was my most listened to song last year 😂
In regards to metal, I like Sabaton, Nekrogoblikon, Brothers of Metal, Majestica and I’m partial to Avenged Sevenfold for the nostalgia
More classically I love Toto and Erasure, ELO and Elton John, and I’m always add some Frank Sinatra to my playlists
Also Cody Frost, who doesn’t really fit into like any other genre I like so I don’t even know how to describe them but they’re super cool.
I also think every song should have a KK Slider cover.

Scuffle, Dessa. I love the stutter-step rhythm of this one. It's early Dessa, and lacks a lot of the polish of her more recent stuff, but I'm incredibly here for it. Also, "You just spread those broken wings / You spread those busted wings / You fucking walk."
February, Barnaby Bright. Okay, mood shift? I think of this as a definitional spring song, even though I've been told it's definitely about winter. Sounds like some propaganda from someone who didn't grow up in Chicago. "February, February reminds me that winter's behind me"
Win It All, The Orion Experience. Possibly this whole thing is going to be mood whiplash. This is a hockey song! Maybe it wasn't intended to be, but that's what it is now. It's also upbeat and catchy af, as you'd hope from The Orion Experience. "When the world pushes you down (You get back up) / And when it knocks you around (You get back up) / And now you fight a little harder (You get back up)"
Make Out, Julia Nunes. This is also hockey! Less obviously, though. Came across this song bc it was in a vid on twitter. Now it's unfortunately adorable forever and there's nothing I can do about it.
Electric Bones, Findlay. I'm a sucker for a song with a good, thumping, driving beat. Does it make you want to walk faster, and in time, while feeling a little predatory? That's my kinda song. "We're going nowhere, nowhere seems to me to be the right way to go / As if that's not enough, I am not yours, I'm not even my own"
Missing, London Grammar. Quintessential London Grammar. Longing and angry and sort of...celestial about it. "I worry that one day you'll go missing / And who will notice when you're gone?"
Girls Against God, Florence + the Machine. Oof, been feeling real mentally healthy this month, huh. This is pretty much the only song that can chase the vibes from Missing, but it replaces them with the same feelings, only bigger. "When I decided to wage holy war / It looked very much like staring at my bedroom floor"
Jackrabbit, San Fermin. Big, brassy, and triumphant in an unexpected way. Sometimes running away from something is running towards something else etc etc "Run for the hills, honey, run for the hills, honey / Run for the hills, don't look back"
