my favorite thing about dirkjohn is that i have never seen a truly bad interpretation of them. anything works with them. they have never met. they have secretly known each other for years. they’re fluffy and adore each other after being deprived of love for so long. they fight and bicker and yell at each other. they’re unlabeled. dirk is so obviously gay and john is so obviously bi and they have been boyfriends for a while. you can have depression dirkjohn. ultimate dirkjohn. fucking tattoo artist and flower shop dirkjohn. everyone’s jaws drop at this arrangement. everyone thinks about it and realizes it actually makes sense. they are thematic foils who completely contrast. they are more like alike than anyone thinks. the possibilities are endless with dirkjohn.

The DirkJohn community keeps sleeping on Dirk being obsessed with philosophy and John being a jerk. I just want to see Dirk start to ramble about the concept of retrocausality and John stopping him to say, “Don’t you like my little pony? Why are you trying to sound smart?”
