Academy Days

I learned today that Darth Marr is one whole year older than Darth Malgus (AKA Veradun). I had no idea what to do with that information until my friend squidhat mentioned... they were probably in the Academy together and they were roomates.

BAM! Instant ficlet.

Marr entered in full garb, his face and form obscured by his new power suit. He stood before a full-length mirror feeling invincible, as though he could crush the stone walls of Kaas city with only the flicker of a thought.

“You look ridiculous.”

The familiar mocking voice cut through the stillness of the academy barracks. Veradun was leaning on the doorway spattered in blood and gore holding what looked like a bleeding femur like a club over his shoulder.

“I wouldn’t expect an animal like you to have any sense of decorum,” Marr sneered as he turned away from the mirror.

“What, you’re not going to give us a twirl, you great big Ponce?”

“That is Lord Marr to you, swine! Learn it well or I will have your head before Vindican has a chance to take it.”

“A thousand apologies, m’lord,” Veradun smirked, his bright gold eyes holding nothing but defiance before giving an exaggerated bow.

Marr gave an annoyed growl before gathering the last of his things. From this moment on, he wouldn’t have to share a room with a savage. One of the many perks of being promoted. There was a sharp creak as the other acolyte flopped onto the cot, soiling the bedding with grime and blood. Beneath the mask, Marr’s nose scrunched in distaste.

Veradun’s smile widened as he sensed his roommate’s disgust. It was a shame he was leaving so soon; he would miss pushing his buttons… and it was so dreadfully easy to push Marr’s buttons. Something as simple as stealing all of his left socks set him off on a rampage. Then there was the time he had male pleasure slaves loudly delivered to Marr’s tent in the field… switching out Marr’s medical supplies with glitterstim… sending out invitations for Marr’s gender reassignment ceremony… releasing a nexu in heat into the refresher while Marr was still using it…

“It just won’t be the same without you, tin-face,” Veradun called out to the Sith Lord who was making a point to ignore his existence.

“I’m sure you’ll cope… or die. So there’s no downside,” Marr’s clipped response was somewhat muffled by the mask.

“Don’t get too comfortable. I’m not as far behind as you like to think. Watch your back, Marr.”

The newly minted Sith Lord shouldered a pack and turned to face his rival.

“One of these days your idiocy will be the end of you, Veradun. When that day comes, I will watch you burn.”

“If you’re trying to seduce me, Marr, you’re going to have to lose the mask, it does nothing for me.”

“You’re impossible!” Lord Marr snarled before storming off.

5) Darth Rivix. He’s hot. And can use pheromones on people (Zeltron). And he spies on you really openly. And then he gives you a cute smile. He’s usually right but he’s so fucking shifty about it, and if you’re mean to him he’ll make it seem super unfounded. Gaslight king.
