Partly for the prolific volume of projects artists release each year and partly for the fluid definition of an album (running anywhere from three to 13 tracks), an annual ranking of K-pop albums is never easy. As South Korea continues to extend its global musical influence, certain projects transcend hit-song compilations, presenting larger visions and conceptual narratives.
In 2023, stars like V, WOODZ and ONEW used their latest solo projects to share the music that inspires them at their core as artists and let listeners settle into sonic worlds they’ve developed.
[...]
First Place: Onew, Circle The First Album
Tumblr media
While it’s somewhat criminal to think that 15 years after ONEW’s debut with SHINee in 2008 we only just received his first full Korean album, the singer-songwriter himself would say that now was the perfect time for Circle. A musical journey unlike anything released this year, ONEW shared that he had attempted to record the album’s title track before dropping his Dice EP in early 2022, but felt it wasn’t at the level of perfection it deserved and held onto the song. ONEW then involved himself in every aspect of Circle‘s production process, from meticulous mixing and mastering to tuning, beats, recording and mastering, attesting to the singer-songwriter’s dedication to artistic expression.
The single “O (Circle)” opens the album with an intriguing blend of electronica and strings, while its gospel-tinged chorus emphasizes lyrics about the circular nature of life and how memories, feelings and dreams are all fleeting. The 10 tracks on Circle develop unique transformations from start to finish: the breezy melodies in “Cough” are paired with loneliness-themed lyrics and a melancholy instrumental breakdown, while “Rain on Me” starts with aggressive acoustic guitar strumming before transitioning into an atmospheric, percussive ballad. Sweet surprises abound, too: ONEW scats on the jazz-rap hybrid “Caramel” and gives a glimpse into his indie-rock side on “Parachute.”
The album’s effortless flow is anchored by ONEW’s famously solid yet understated vocals. As Circle concludes with the tender piano ballad “Always” which addresses themes of loyalty and resilience, the listener wonders if it’s an allegory for ONEW’s public journey through health challenges, including vocal cord surgery. Even without any writing credits on Circle, ONEW’s presence is undeniably felt in this seamless collection that boasts an emotional depth brought on by 15 years in the game. That’s the kind of introspection you can’t rush or doctor through A&R but need to cycle through and arrive at when the moment is right. From scheduling this album’s release to the messages on the final track, time is definitely on ONEW’s side to deliver such a project. — J.B.

Gaia unravels the ancient threads of the Milky Way
ESA’s Gaia space telescope has further disentangled the history of our galaxy, discovering two surprising streams of stars that formed and wove together over 12 billion years ago.
The two streams, named Shakti and Shiva, helped form the infant Milky Way. Both are so ancient they likely formed before even the oldest parts of our present-day galaxy’s spiral arms and disc.
“What’s truly amazing is that we can detect these ancient structures at all,” says Khyati Malhan of the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy (MPIA) in Heidelberg, Germany, who led the research. “The Milky Way has changed so significantly since these stars were born that we wouldn’t expect to recognise them so clearly as a group – but the unprecedented data we’re getting from Gaia made it possible.”
Using Gaia observations, the researchers were able to determine the orbits of individual stars in the Milky Way, along with their content and composition. “When we visualised the orbits of all these stars, two new structures stood out from the rest among stars of a certain chemical composition,” adds Khyati. “We named them Shakti and Shiva.”
Truly ancient fragments
Each stream contains the mass of about 10 million Suns, with stars of 12 to 13 billion years in age all moving in very similar orbits with similar compositions. The way they’re distributed suggests that they may have formed as distinct fragments that merged with the Milky Way early in its life.
Both streams lie towards the Milky Way’s heart. Gaia explored this part of the Milky Way in 2022 using a kind of ‘galactic archaeology’; this showed the region to be filled with the oldest stars in the entire galaxy, all born before the disc of the Milky Way had even properly formed.
“The stars there are so ancient that they lack many of the heavier metal elements created later in the Universe’s lifetime. These heavy metals are those forged within stars and scattered through space when they die. The stars in our galaxy’s heart are metal-poor, so we dubbed this region the Milky Way’s ‘poor old heart’,” says co-author Hans-Walter Rix, also of MPIA and the lead ‘galactic archaeologist’ from the 2022 work.
“Until now, we had only recognised these very early fragments that came together to form the Milky Way’s ancient heart. With Shakti and Shiva, we now see the first pieces that seem comparably old but located further out. These signify the first steps of our galaxy's growth towards its present size.”
A complex family tree
While very similar, the two streams are not identical. Shakti stars orbit a little further from the Milky Way’s centre and in more circular orbits than Shiva stars. Fittingly, the streams are named after a divine couple from Hindu philosophy who unite to create the Universe (or macrocosm).
Some 12 billion years ago, the Milky Way looked very different to the orderly spiral we see today. We think that our galaxy formed as multiple long, irregular filaments of gas and dust coalesced, all forming stars and wrapping together to spark the birth of our galaxy as we know it. It seems that Shaki and Shiva are two of these components – and future Gaia data releases may reveal more.
Khyati and Hans-Walter also built a dynamical map of other known components that have played a role in our galaxy’s formation and were discovered using Gaia data. These include Gaia-Sausage-Enceladus, LMS1/Wukong, Arjuna/Sequoia/I’itoi, and Pontus. These star groups all form part of the Milky Way’s complex family tree, something that Gaia has worked to build over the past decade.
“Revealing more about our galaxy’s infancy is one of Gaia’s goals, and it’s certainly achieving it,” says Timo Prusti, Project Scientist for Gaia at ESA. “We need to pinpoint the subtle yet crucial differences between stars in the Milky Way to understand how our galaxy formed and evolved. This requires incredibly precise data – and now, thanks to Gaia, we have that data. As we discover surprise parts of our galaxy like the Shiva and Shakti streams, we’re filling the gaps and painting a fuller picture of not only our current home, but our earliest cosmic history.”
TOP IMAGE....An artist’s impression of our Milky Way galaxy, a roughly 13 billon-year-old ‘barred spiral galaxy’ that is home to a few hundred billion stars. On the left, a face-on view shows the spiral structure of the Galactic Disc, where the majority of stars are located, interspersed with a diffuse mixture of gas and cosmic dust. The disc measures about 100 000 light-years across, and the Sun sits about half way between its centre and periphery. On the right, an edge-on view reveals the flattened shape of the disc. Observations point to a substructure: a thin disc some 700 light-years high embedded in a thick disc, about 3000 light-years high and populated with older stars. The edge on view also shows the Galactic Bulge, located in the central portion of the Milky Way and hosting about 10 billion stars, which are mainly old and red. The bulge, also visible in the face-on view on the left, has an overall elongated shape that resembles that of a peanut-shaped bar, with a half-length of about 10 000 light-years, making the Milky Way a barred spiral galaxy. Beyond the disc and bulge is the stellar halo, a roughly spherical structure with a radius of about 100 000 light-years, containing isolated stars as well as many globular clusters – large, compact conglomerations of some of the most ancient stars in the Galaxy. On a grander scale, the Milky Way is embedded in an even larger halo of invisible dark matter. CREDIT Left: NASA/JPL-Caltech; right: ESA; layout: ESA/ATG medialab
CENTRE IMAGE....ESA’s Gaia space telescope has further disentangled the history of our galaxy, discovering two streams of stars that formed and wove together over 12 billion years ago. The two streams, named Shakti and Shiva, helped form the infant Milky Way. Both are so ancient that they likely formed before even the oldest parts of our present-day galaxy’s spiral arms and disc. This image shows the location and distribution of Shakti (yellow) and Shiva (blue) stars throughout the Milky Way. The streams were discovered using ESA’s billion-star surveyor, Gaia. Gaia observations enabled the researchers to determine the content and composition of the individual stars, which in turn revealed more of their properties and showed their movements through space. LOWER IMAGE....The Milky Way has a complicated past. Our galaxy is filled with stars that arrived at different times in cosmic history, delivered as another galaxy or object collided with the Milky Way and was subsequently consumed. This image shows a few of these different starry populations, with each colour representing stars that joined the Milky Way via a different collision event. Two of these streams are newly discovered thanks to ESA’s billion-star surveyor, Gaia. Data from Gaia enabled researchers to determine the content and composition of the individual stars making up the Shakti (pink) and Shiva (pale blue) streams, which in turn revealed more of their properties and movements through space. In fact, Gaia has helped to reveal several of these past collisions. The two frames show different kinds of information about the stars plotted against one another – information related to their energy and motions as they orbit and move through space – to create the fan-like and diamond shapes shown here. The rectangular box labelled ‘R’ represents a ‘ridge-like structure’. [Image description: Two graphs show a distribution of stars on a white background. Small groups of stars that belong together can be recognised, they were given the same colour and a population name.] CREDIT ESA/Gaia/DPAC/K. Malhan et al. (2024)

I've recently started watching Jared Padalecki's show Walker. I just finished the Season 2 Episode 14 titled "No Such Thing As Fair Play". Like this review said, some elements from "Supernatural" were brought aboard in this episode because it is also the episode Jensen Ackles directed. This episode aired on April 14, 2022 which happens to be exactly 80 days before Bevin Prince's husband died on July 3, 2022 (equivalent to 2 months and 19 days). https://www.instagram.com/p/CcVxLtWuO4q/ https://www.instagram.com/p/CcV591cOzgr/?utm_source=ig_embed&ig_rid=42ed91ca-41dd-48ea-baef-84153ad406b1 While watching this episode, as someone who is very interested in writing about divination including tarot readings I noticed the tarot cards Perez pulled while in the psychic's tent/stand (who was noted to be absent during this scene) with Trey. I also am interested in writing about divine blueprints and divine plans, as well as noticing the small "clues" and "hints" about possible outcomes/futures that show up in every day life. They say hindsight is 20/20 but I have written about some hints regarding the aforementioned lawsuit in other posts of mine. I noticed some of them in this particular episode Jensen coincidentally directed and the following episode. The reading had the cards Death, Strength, and The Tower as seen below. The psychic was noticeably not present for this scene and it was Ranger Cassie Perez pulling the cards while talking to Trey some about Micki and other things. They simply talked about things being uncertain and made a toast while saying "to finding answers even when they hurt" and mentioned "different kinds of strength". As someone who is interested in the Tarot and does some readings, I wanted to point out what I've noticed in this reading (and surrounding elements on the table cloth in particular). In the Tarot, Death is numbered 13 and represents endings, change (and possibly resistance to), transformation, transition, and possibly inner purging. Strength in the Tarot is numbered 8 and represents strength (inner and outer), courage, persuasion, influence, compassion, self-doubt, low energy, and raw emotion. Finally, we have The Tower ,which is numbered 16 and represents sudden change, upheaval, chaos, revelation, awakening, personal transformation, fear of change, and possibly averting disaster. The Tower card is the card with the lightning bolt striking the tower and people falling out of it. Many times in the tarot, Death symbolizes more of a metaphorical "death" and following it a "rebirth" or "renewal" of something. Given this is a television show, it's fairly likely these particular cards were used because it's either pointing to a previous death of a character and/or the way things were before (death of Marv, the loss of the Walker Ranch due to Cordell losing the horse race, Trey and Ranger Ramirez breaking up after she returns to San Antonio following the death of her ex fiancée, etc.) or more likely, hinting at a future death that will be quite significant. The Tower and Death cards both point to personal transformation, loss, catastrophe, things of this nature. The Strength card here of course can point to compassion, being strong during tough times, self-doubt, and raw emotion. To be brief, it's fairly likely that this reading in terms of the show's context is pointing to a literal death that will be coming up and will have a disastrous aftermath. Question is who and how?
I am also interested in the fact Jensen directed this episode which aired 80 days before Bevin Prince's husband's death of being struck by lightning on July 3, 2022 while on a boat on the ocean in Myrtle Beach, SC. Looking at the surrounding elements of this Tarot reading in the episode itself, I noticed the cards touch some particularly interesting "elements" on the table cloth and are also near the cards themselves. The Death card happens to be touching the Pisces symbol on the Zodiac wheel on this circular table cloth. Both Jensen Ackles and Danneel Ackles' astrology sign is Pisces with the symbol being essentially two fish tied together by a rope swimming in opposite directions ("Just 2 lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year" [direct quote from the FBBC website under Danneel and Jensen's section on their "The Family" page], meaning Danneel and Jensen who happened to direct this episode of Walker and also were Executive Producers for The Winchesters and who are both Pisces). Both the Strength and The Tower cards are touching Aquarius the Water Bearer on the Zodiac wheel with the symbol being 2 wavy lines thought to represent waves of water (hmmm, perhaps like being on a wavy ocean?) . The Tower card also happens to be touching both The Moon and The Star cards on the Tarot circle on the circular table cloth. The Sun is adjacent to the tarot cards in the reading. I also noticed during the next episode of Walker (season 2 episode 15 "Bygones") where Twyla and Cordell were talking about the past on a bench a song started playing called "Together" by Michigander. At the beginning of this song the lyrics start with: "Well, oh my god, the world is ending Do you still want to meet me for dinner? I feel the thunder, see the lightning And these darker days keep getting dimmer" It seems this song choice playing in the Walker episode following the one Jensen directed with the Tarot reading is quite an interesting "hint" in Jensen's divine blueprints. I did the below tarot reading on 8/2/2023 where both The Star and The Tower appeared, which was exactly 28 days before the lawsuit was filed. It seems to me overall that this Walker episode's tarot reading and surrounding elements did in fact hint to the (back then) upcoming disasters for both Bevin Prince and her husband, as well as Jensen and Danneel... and of course alludes to SOMETHING that happens in the show (DON'T spoil it for me please as I'm currently watching as of today 11/27/2023 at 11:27pm EST ha ha). It turns out that the first hearing for The Winchesters lightning lawsuit is on 01/23/2024 at 09:00 AM in Burbank, CA per this link someone was kind enough to send to me via PM over the weekend. I could not also help but notice the fact this first hearing takes place 3 days after the start of Aquarius "governing". I also could not help but notice that Aquarius is the 11th sign of the Zodiac. I've spoken with multiple people here on Tumblr over the last few months who have pulled The Tower card (depicted with a lightning bolt striking the top of a tower) with relation to Jensen Ackles prior to the lightning lawsuit being filed on 8/30/2023. When I was shown this link over this weekend, I couldn't help but notice the time and date in which the last case update occurred when I had checked (11/19/2023 at 11:18:11 UTC). I've mentioned before in multiple posts including this one why I believe 11 is a warning number for Jensen, not so much a positive one. It seems that perhaps this case being "last updated" at the time and date over this past Thanksgiving weekend AND it being scheduled 3 days into the time Aquarius governs, which is the 11th sign of the Zodiac may be more reasons to add to the list of reasons to support my theory.
I am going to start off this commentary with the following IG post from FBBC's page that was made today 11/28/2023 some time after 4pm EST. I clicked "post" to send off the above post just last night, 11/27/2023 at 11:27pm EST (which effectively became 11:28pm by the time it actually posted). The post image below is of an ad they came up with for bands that will be playing on Friday 12/1/2023 at FBBC. This poster ad from FBBC's post has an image of an ocean with the bands Candlebox, 3 Doors Down and Madam Radar being mentioned. Madam Radar happens to have what appears to be a lightning bolt below it serving as an underline. The caption for this post reads as follows:
"If you haven’t heard yet Riptide Society is an amazing charity that we will be working closely with in the future. If you’re free this Friday 12/01 (and not already enjoying beer in our taproom) come out and support!
We’ll have some of our team at the event and they will be talking about some of the cool stuff we have coming up that we’ve been working on together.
Cheers and we’ll see y’all soon"

For visual reference, this is a photo of the Tarot reading I made the above post from last night about.
Tumblr media
Reviewing my post from last night quoted above, I mentioned the number 3 in the context of the first hearing for The Winchesters lawsuit with Danneel and Jensen Ackles being named 2 of several defendants being held on January 23, 2023, which is 3 days after Aquarius starts to "govern" from Jan 20 to Feb 18. I also talked about Aquarius being represented by 2 wavy lines indicating water and specifically quoted "Both the Strength and The Tower cards are touching Aquarius the Water Bearer on the Zodiac wheel with the symbol being 2 wavy lines thought to represent waves of water (hmmm, perhaps like being on a wavy ocean?)".
I also talked about Bevin Prince's husband's death occurring exactly 80 days after the Walker episode with this tarot reading aired last year, where he was struck by lightning while on a boat on the ocean in Wrightsville Beach, SC on July 3, 2022. Per the article I linked regarding Bevin Prince's husband: "Prince said she believes there was "divinity" in his passing. "He was 33 years old. It was July 3 and I believe the exact time that the lightning struck was 3:13 p.m. So knowing that all the resources were there to potentially save him, I have to believe that something bigger beyond me was calling him," she said."

AHOY! IT IS THE RETURN OF TURKISH BEAUTY DILOY! FOR HER SECOND POST HERE (TURKISH GIRLS SMOKING No. 8)
★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ | Four-and-a-Half "Stars"
From "Sebas" YouTube | ★★★★ (L)
Multi-Media 8-Pack (Megapost!)
Pardon us for the delay with Dilay! Correcting our mistake from 12 days ago when we announced her name as "Diloy." We apologize. It is the cardinal sin within journalism. Blogging and journalism, not exactly symbiotic. Bad to get the facts wrong; worse to get a name wrong. Not pleased with our operation over this one but it is important to note the importance of transitioning. Thus . . . We move on. And we move smoothly into another Megapost of Dilay, a Dual-Media 8-Pack Megapost to be exact. So now we proclaim that The 'Turkish Smoking Girls' series is still operating with a measure of momentum with this post, our eighth in the series overall and second within the past 13 days for a total of 3 "Turkish Smoking Girls" installments within 20 days. That's essentially one per week. We are committed to this series!
Dilay still looking mighty fine in her second video within the domain. Still a nice, tight 8.0 on the Bo Derek "1 to 10" meter, as we articulated in her debut post on August 18, 2023. But please compare and contrast her look nowadays to how she appeared in these videos and photos from her Social Network platforms. There is a noticeable difference, although not exactly stark in magnitude. But it's her statement. In one of her photos on her Instagram page from within the past 2-plus years -- which we have not included because flattering pictures are best for SF posts -- she is considerably overweight. Dilay has trimmed down. But with some folks -- some women in particular -- when they start heading in that direction, it can be tough to know when to put on the breaks. This might be the case here. Summarizing: She got too heavy a few years ago, she recognized the unhealthy trend and how it impacted her appearance negatively and she decided to take action, she slimmed down and looked marvelous. Remains real hot now but she might have left slender for skinny. And after skinny are serious health risks and a different set of emotional problems. As we know, smoking cigarettes suppresses appetite. Not eating as much as previously leads to weight loss. Continued weight loss can lead to different problems from the excess weight on her frame that started this all off. It all can be so circular/circuitous. And where does that get anyone? Not where anyone would want to be. Added in late-August 2023. Hope you enjoy seeing Dilay again! It might become a regular type of occurrence soon.
Here is the first post of Dilay from August 18, 2023, Number 7 in our Turkish Girls Smoking series . . .

Scorn World Map
Tumblr media
Special thanks to @headmushroom I'm making progress on the Scorn Map; every now and then I make a rough doodle to orientate myself (and to post to tumblr to get clout)
So Headmushroom (who is providing me with many many screenshots) and I have found out:
The tower thing Parasite Guy strives for is directly above the lift down to Act 3, you visit it later. It's also above a circular room right near the start - you cannot enter this empty space full of pipes and cables, you can just witness it. Everything is stacked neatly and vertically.
The gentle bulges on the sides of the main building house those glowing red pod structures, the ones containing (sleeping? unborn?) guys
Not only do you go back through the same building as both Parasite Guy and Scorn Guy, but during the time jump other people have been there: carts have changed position and some pipes and things in the walls have been moved and plugged in. Some of these things are too specific for continuity errors (especially the plugged in floor thing in the first room). Also some of the pipes are full and red and juicy when you first pass the, grey and dusty when you revist them later in the game.
Most of the discoveries are small things like "oh! this connects to that!" and things of that nature, it'll all be clearer once I've finished the maps for the main building, it's just so exciting seeing how it all comes together!!!

My favourite bit of Scorn (2022) was when you showed compassion to the parasite who has basically been carrying you this entire time and, instead of extracting him you decided to live in peace and actually you're a couple now. And also the shell child was fine all along and you and your loving parasite find him again and you're a family now.
Funny that the game is entitled 'scorn' when, if the above memory is correct, you treated none of your fellow lifeforms with scorn and suffered no hubris for all the wanton destruction you caused.
Anyway here is fanart of something that definitely happened when you, scornless and in fact endeared by all the gore and muck around you, celebrate shell child's first year out of the shell.

My #1 post of 2022
I LOVE vulture culture nerds. They see something as sad and tragic as roadkill and they say "actually, it's a good day for me" and have such infectious joy about it. "Wow! A dead rabbit!"
Imagine having a world outlook that when you see something commonly thought of as gross and sad you think "this could be art! This could be art that celebrates animals!"

Scandic Oceanhamnen, Helsingborg hotel building

Scandic Oceanhamnen, Helsingborg Accommodation
23 May 2022
Location: Helsingborg, Scania, south west Sweden
Design: Juul Frost Arkitekter
Scandic Oceanhamnen now open – sustainability plays leading role from quay to rooftop terrace
Scandic Oceanhamnen Helsingborg Hotel
At the far end of the pier in the climate-smart district of Oceanhamnen, Scandic is pleased to announce the opening of its second hotel in Helsingborg, Scandic Oceanhamnen. The hotel, which has 184 rooms on 13 floors as well as a relaxation area and rooftop terrace, is located on the waterfront overlooking the Öresund sound. Scandic Oceanhamnen has been designed according to the Sweden Green Building Council Gold standard and has been certified by the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, the official ecolabel of the Nordic countries.
On May 23, Scandic Oceanhamnen became a new landmark in Helsingborg. Located at the end of the quay in the new climate-smart Oceanhamnen district, Scandic Oceanhamnen is nestled in a rapidly growing residential and commercial area just minutes from the city center. The hotel is also strategically located next to where the electric ferries operate between Helsingborg and Helsingør, strengthening Helsingborg as a hub in southern Sweden.
The hotel is ecolabeled according to the Nordic Swan Ecolabel’s tough new criteria where, among other things, ecolabeled products and chemicals, 100 percent renewable electricity, absence of single-use packaging, low water consumption and a food & beverage offering with sustainability in focus provided the basis for certification.
At Scandic Oceanhamnen, guests can step directly from the pier into a welcoming hotel setting dominated by the panoramic view of the sound. The restaurant features locally produced seasonal ingredients and items on the menu are available as half and full portions to reduce food waste. The climate impact of each dish is provided. All wine and beer served in the hotel is organic, with much on tap to reduce use of bottles and cans.
– It’s fantastic to finally open the doors to Helsingborg’s newest hotel – a unique place to meet and stay for locals and far-flung guests alike. Scandic Oceanhamnen will have a central place on Helsingborg’s hotel map, not least with its spectacular rooftop terrace and relaxation area on the top floor – a space that residents, businesspeople, hotel guests and locals will be able to enjoy. Along with my team, I am very proud to be opening a new venue where people can meet, eat, enjoy the view and get a good night’s sleep with as little environmental impact as possible, says Elisabeth Persson, General Manager at Scandic Oceanhamnen.
Sustainability plays a central role at Scandic Oceanhamnen and it is reflected in the circular thinking in the construction of the building and the use of recycled materials in parts of the interior, from public areas to the hotel rooms. The building also features a unique three-pipe system for food waste, waste and water from toilets, bathtubs and showers, and wastewater from the hotel’s laundry facilities, which is transported directly to the new treatment plant in the area where it is used as a raw material to produce biofuel and nutrients for plants.
– Scandic Oceanhamnen is a milestone in our hotel portfolio. For us, it is important to not only look at a property’s environmental impact and longevity, but also ensure that we have as little impact as possible and address all aspects of environmental, social and economic sustainability. Scandic Oceanhamnen will also allow us to test new sustainability concepts that will hopefully become the standard and further strengthen our position when it comes to sustainability, says Magnus Ljungberg, Sustainability Director at Scandic Hotels.
Scandic Oceanhamnen will offer new opportunities for Swedish and Danish businesspeople to meet. With its proximity to Denmark, Helsingborg is an important hub for southern Sweden, and Scandic’s new hotel will add 184 hotel rooms and more conference and meeting facilities to a city where entrepreneurship and the population are growing. Unique to the hotel is Studio Ocean, a glassed-in space on the rooftop terrace and an idyllic venue for any meeting or private event.
– We’d been looking at expanding in Helsingborg for some time, and when Oceanhamnen and our real estate partner Granitor appeared on our radar, we felt it was the perfect fit. Helsingborg is an important driver in one of the Nordic region’s largest labor market regions, and we see a positive dynamic in the constellation of leisure and business travelers who travel to or pass through Helsingborg every year, says Peter Jangbratt, Head of Sweden at Scandic Hotels.
Now that Scandic Oceanhamnen has opened, Scandic operates a total of 424 hotel rooms in Helsingborg.

25 Amazing FACTS, not fiction for all those who consider Hinduism to be irrelevant, obsolete n unscientific! (1/2)
May 01, 2022
Why did the scientists at "NASA” consider voice emanating from The SUN, by the word OM (ॐ)….?
Why has the United States got 4 Patents on the "Indian-Native–Cow urine" & is developing anti-cancer drugs while we inspite of being aware of the importance of "cow urine n dung" for thousands of years, chose to remain ignorant….?
Why is the “BHAGAVAD GITA” a must read in Setan-Hall University in New Jersey (U.S.)?
Why the Islamic country of Indonesia has named its national airlines, “Garuda Indonesia Airlines” & its "National Emblem", “Garuda Pancasila”, both named in honor of the holy bird of Hinduism, “Garuda”, Lord Vishnu's mount (vahana)?
Why has Indonesia, one of the most populous Muslim countries in the world, imprinted image of “Lord Ganesha“ on its high-deno.. 20,000 rupiah currency note?
Why does "Barrack Obama," always keep a photo of "Lord Hanuman" in his pocket?
Why is the whole world crazy for 😇"Yoga - pranayama"?
How did “ancient Indian scientists "discover ‘000s of years ago, 🌍“Earth is round”🌎
Why do the mountains of ‘Afganisthan' have a Hindu name,- "Hindukush"? Why of all places, in Vietnam was a 4000-yr old statue of "Lord Vishnu" found?
10. Why Dr. Howard Steingeril, an American scientist, after researching, considered the 🔔"Gayatri Mantra"🔔, the sacred hymn of the Hindus that produced a staggering 110,000 sound waves /second…. to be the most powerful hymn in the world?
11. Why Imam of Barwala Masjid in Baghpat (U.P.) after reading “Satyartha Prakash” by Swami Dayanand Saraswati adopt the Hindu religion with his new name, "Mahendra Pal Arya" in November 1983? Since then he has converted thousands of Muslims into “Hindus”& has invited Dr.Zakir Naik several times to debate but Dr Naik never gathered the courage to confront him!
12. Unlike in the west, Hinduism believes in a circular rather than a linear concept of time. Time is divided into four ages - the Satya yuga (golden age of innocence), Tretha yuga, Dwapara yuga and Kali yuga. 13. Did you know, burning of Cow ghee on cow-dung cakes, produces phenomenal amount of oxygen & clears contamination from air,- 10 gms produce 1 ton oxygen!! 14. Why did "Julia Roberts" (American actress & producer) adopt the Hindu religion and why does she go to the Temple everyday?
15. If the "Ramayana" Is false, then Why in the world, only stones of "Ram – Setu (bridge)" are still floating?
16. If the Mahabharata is false, then how did recent exploration activity by National - Geographic's team & the Indian Army in the northern region of India uncover a giant skeleton of 'Ghatotkach' (80 foot), the son of Bhima?
17. Why the US troops in Kandahar (Afghanistan) recently discovered a 5,000 year old Vimana, (an aeroplane) from ancient Mahabharata period?
18. The Yagna is a sacred purifying ritual (havan) in Hinduism that involves a fire ceremony It is a ritual of sacrifice made to the fire god Agni, wherein Ghee (clarified butter), grains, honey and wooden sticks are offered into the sacred fire. If 🔥" Yagna " 🔥 performed by Hindus is "Superstitious", then how come the "Kushwaha - family", the only survivors of the 'Bhopal Gas Tragedy' managed to escape the tragedy? Bcos they were performing a 🔥"yagna" 🔥?
(to be contd....)

FASER measures high-energy neutrino interaction strength
FASER measures high-energy neutrino interaction strength Operating at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider (LHC) since 2022, the FASER experiment is designed to search for extremely weakly interacting particles. Such particles are predicted by many theories beyond the Standard Model that are attempting to solve outstanding problems in physics such as the nature of dark matter and the matter-antimatter imbalance in the Universe. Another goal of the experiment is to study interactions of high-energy neutrinos produced in the LHC collisions, particles that are nearly impossible to detect in the four big LHC experiments. Last week, at the annual Rencontres de Moriond conference, the FASER collaboration presented a measurement of the interaction strength, or “cross section”, of electron neutrinos (νe) and muon neutrinos (νμ). This is the first time such a measurement has been made at a particle collider. Measurements of this kind can provide important insights across different aspects of physics, from understanding the production of “forward” particles in the LHC collisions and improving our understanding of the structure of the proton to interpreting measurements of high-energy neutrinos from astrophysical sources performed by neutrino-telescope experiments. FASER is located in a side tunnel of the LHC accelerator, 480 metres away from the ATLAS detector collision point. At that location, the LHC beam is already nearly 10 metres away, bending away on its circular 27-kilometre path. This is a unique location for studying weakly interacting particles produced in the LHC collisions. Charged particles produced in the collisions are deflected by the LHC magnets. Most neutral particles are stopped by the hundreds of metres of rock between FASER and ATLAS. Only very weakly interacting neutral particles like neutrinos are expected to continue straight on and reach the location where the detector is installed. The probability of a neutrino interacting with matter is very small, but not zero. The type of interaction that FASER is sensitive to is where a neutrino interacts with a proton or a neutron inside the detector. In this interaction, the neutrino transforms into a charged “lepton” of the same family – an electron in the case of an νe, and a muon in the case of a νμ – which is visible in the detector. If the energy of the neutrino is high, several other particles are also produced in the collision. The detector used to perform the measurement consists of 730 interleaved tungsten plates and photographic emulsion plates. The emulsion was exposed during the period from 26 July to 13 September 2022 and then chemically developed and analysed in search of charged particle tracks. Candidates for neutrino interactions were identified by looking for clusters of tracks that could be traced back to a single vertex. One of these tracks then had to be identified as a high-energy electron or muon. Event displays identified by the FASER collaboration as candidates for an νe (left) and a νμ (right) interacting in the detector. Invisible here, the neutrinos arrive from the left and then interact to create multiple tracks spraying out to the right (coloured lines), one of which is identified as a charged lepton (labelled). (credit: FASER collaboration) In total, four candidates for an νe interaction and eight candidates for a νμ interaction have been found. The four νe candidates represent the first direct observation of electron neutrinos produced at a collider. The observations can be interpreted as measurements of neutrino interaction cross sections, yielding (1.2+0.9−0.8) ×10−38 cm2 GeV−1 in the case of the νe and (0.5 ± 0.2) × 10−38 cm2 GeV−1 in the case of the νμ. The energies of the neutrinos were found to be in a range between 500 and 1700 GeV. No measurement of the neutrino interaction cross section had previously been made at energies above 300 GeV in the case of the νe and between 400 GeV… https://home.web.cern.ch/news/news/physics/faser-measures-high-energy-neutrino-interaction-strength (Source of the original content)
