okay get ready, strap in, we got a two parter. Time for my notes on episodes 12&13 (The Menagerie):

- I wonder if they’re really gonna put the men into menagerie

- Bones is so worried, he doesn’t want Spock confined, he also doesn’t want to believe he’s been deceived by his friend

- Spock looks so ashamed and sad. He’s sad.

- “whatever he’s up to, he’s planned it well” no he hasn’t. I see his fear and panic. (Edit: this turned out to be somewhat untrue)

- wow that’s a good angle on those tapes. That’s so cool that they’re bringing back the pilot tho

- considering how blue Pike’s eyes are it’s so funny how Chris Pine ended up playing Kirk and not a guy called Chris Pike…

- that’s kind of amazing how it almost seems like this is just apart of the episode (especially considering the fact that all the stuff in the original episode had so much world building. Like it really seemed like all the adventures were already normal.) like they made this past storyline as just another part of the episode.

- forgot how awesome number one was, kinda excited to watch strange new worlds now

Chapter 25: Two Matriarchs (NORMAL P.O.V.)

Sitting at my desk, I clicked off and deactivated my connection to the B.S.A.A. terminals. Chris was clearly not in a good place and needed some comfort. I hope Barry, Claire, or the copy of my plans against Spencer would soothe him.

As I waited for Albert to arrive with that harpy Excella , I decided it would be best to have Agent Nighthawk in the office as backup. Did I think Albert would allow me to get hurt? No, no, I did not. I just think a little intimidation would be helpful.

I pressed the button on my comm choker, activating it.

"Agent Nighthawk respond." I ordered.

"Yes, commander?" His voice responded quickly.

"Come to my office. I have a feeling the new visitor will be trouble, and I would like your assistance in the matter as my backup." I said, standing up from my chair and walking over the marbled ebony cabinets in the corner of my office.

"YES, MAM!" He said loudly.

"No need to shout hun. See you soon." I ended the comm link.

Opening up the cabinet, I pulled out a tray with a vintage light blue decanter with gold angel fish with six matching glasses. Inside the decanter was Pheonix Corps. special strawberry brandy. I also had an unopened imported bottle of Kunohs orange osmanthus wine as well as an unopened bottle Disaronno and Johnnie Walker blue label, which I knew was Albert's favorite. Pulling them out of their hidey hole, I placed them on the tray as well.

Carefully, I brought the drinking set out and placed it on my desk. Tucking away my keyboard, laptop, as well as the monitors. I placed the cups along the desk. With utmost care, I covered the desk and drinking set with a black silk sheet. The proper meet and greet was more important, and if it went well, drinks would be served.

"I am here, m'lady." Nighthawk said, entering my office holding a five gallon bucket of ice,"White Queen said you would need ice, so I grabbed you a big bucket full from the kitchen before I came to your office."

The kid smiled. His unruly neck lenght blonde hair was slicked back almost how Wesk normally had his. He was wearing a charcoal grey jacket with an aquamarine tee shirt, black jeans, and his standard issued combat boots.

"Wow! kid, you're looking sharp today. This is perfect. I want to see your files from project a.c.r.o.h. you look so much like my husband it's shocking." I said, taking the bucket of ice from him," please take a seat. Archer will be here soon with Albert and that bitch Excella. However, my plan is simple, and you'll see that soon enough. Now, if you'll turn around so I can get changed."

Agent Nighthawk turns and faces the wall. I quickly changed into my battle suit that was crafted from carbon nanotubes and spider silk. Perfectly bulletproof and stylish to boot. I placed my corrective purple shades on as well as my black leather duster coat embroidered with blue silk flames. I pulled my long deep brown hair up into a ponytail. Lastly, I stepped into black snake skin three inch wedge heel boots.

"OK... Hawk, you can turn around now. I'm ready for this meet and greet with Ms. Gionne, " I said, walking over to him.

"That's good, m'lady, and it seems they are almost here." He said, pointing at the window, revealing Albert and Arjuna walking up the stairs being followed by Excella and Steve.

I quickly zipped over to my big office chair and sat down. Turning away from the door, I gazed over set agent Nighthawk and motioned for him to come stand next to me. He followed the order I silently provided in just the nick of time.

White Queen appeared as the door opened. Archer walked in first, followed by Wesker and Steve. Excella walked in last.

"Albert, where is this asset you keep bringing up? I must admit the Pheonix Corps. is an amazing organization, but would they help us with oroboros. They seemed to be aligned with the UN." She stated.

White Queen spoke up, "All of your questions will be answered here in a moment. Arjuna, please introduce our lady to Ms. Gionne."

Archer smiled and bowed, "Yes, White Queen, welcome to the final room of our tour. The heart of Pheonix Corps, this is the office of our mistress. The former vice captain of the Raccoon City special tactics and rescue services Alpha team, Umbrellas former top researcher in vaccines and anti viral procedures, UBSC Agent number seven hundred forty-eight, goddess of the new world and wife to commander Albert Wesker, our matron and leader, the Pheonix herself, Lady Tabitha Ellise Redfield Wesker."

I turned in my chair and stood up. Brushing my bangs away from my eyes. My wicked smirk plastered across my face as I stared deep into Excella's horrified eyes.

"So.... so... you were?"shuddered out Excella.

"NOT so much of a filthy mutt now am I deary. Hahaha.... worry not, dear heart. I hold nothing against you. I could have killed you the moment I laid my eyes on you, but I didn't. After all, that's not what my daughter Alistar would want. I understand you found her corpse. I want to thank you for being her home to me and Albert." I took off my shades, revealing the deep blue sapphire like eyes.

Albert walked forward and stood next to me, "Excella, my dearheart here has a deal for you."

"What is this deal? What what can she give me that I don't already have? I have Albert and our research. I don't need anything more. So tell me what you can offer me?" She huffed, turning around, starting to walk out.

"Well, how about me not exposing Tricells' recent transgressions against the UNs anti bioterrist regulations." She turned around, horrified as the realization just hit her.

"You wouldn't dare! do you know who i am. No one would turn in trecell over

petty reason, like not building a work relationship." She said, walking towards me.

I laughed, amused, "If you think I'm not that petty, just ask Wesk. However, I have damn near infinite resources and connections as well from the B.S.A.A., the connections, even Nato and the UN. I have decades of research from umbrella and access to files that Wesker doesn't. I'm currently have an army of around two thousand soldiers, all with B.O.W. training. To think you would think I studied up on you when I found out about irving was connected to Tricell. Born to the Gionne family, Excella was a child prodigy. Graduating from high school at the ripe age of sixteen and college at twenty. She gained a bachelor of science degree majoring in genetic engineering. Valedictorian at that. Now you are an assistant to my power-hungry sadist of a husband. I love him dearly, but I can tell you, and I share that fact in common. Now I'll cut you a deal, one that will be hard to refuse."

I saw Albert smirk.

"Gentlemen, let's give my dear lotus and Excella some privacy." Wesker said, motioning for the men to leave.

"No need, Albert. I want to make sure you hear what is said. That way, I know she'll stay loyal to this contract. You did tell me she's loyal to you to a fault. Let me hear this deal you've concocted. " Excella smirked, sitting in one of the chairs.

"Simple and straight to the point, I like that. This is a four part deal, and I'll have the legal team draw up the contract for three parts. The last piece will be between me and you, Excella." I said, sitting back down in my office chair.

"But of course, I'm not an idiot. Now, let's hear these terms." She said in a very business manner.

"First of we don't rat each other out to the UN, B.S.A.A or any other authority." I said.

"That's very much agreeable." She said seething, "What else would you like out of this?".

"We share resources between Tricell and Phoenix Corps. This will include but not be limited to research, viral stabilizers, soldiers, the works, whatever you need that we can provide, and the same co yndition is applied to you at tricell." I stated, grabbing a dark blue fountain pen and paper writing out the conditions and signing by each one.

"I promise you the resourses of my branch of Tricell,and I'll contact my family and have the other branches reach out as well." She said, signing next to each of my signatures.

"Lastly of the main terms, we stay out of others' way and try to rule side by side the new world uroboros will usher in for us." I said, standing up and extending my hand out.

She stood up and took my hand in hers, "Then it's settled."

"Not quite. All but Archer leave this room now that's an order. Albert, I'll discuss this with you later, but for now, this is my base. You will listen to me. " I said, pointing to the door, "Do you have any objections, Ms. Gionne?"

"Yes, I'd rather have Albert in here rather than one of your flunkies. It's only fair since you are his wife, after all." She smirked.

"Excella, I will stay, but first let me talk to my dearest lotus in the hall." He said, pulling me out the door.

When we were in the hall, Albert backed me into a wall and pressed his lips against my neck. Pinning my shoulders, he stared into my eyes. He flashed his signature smirk with his eyes glowing. His cologne rolled into my nostrils.

"Since when did you become such a devilish negotiator, my dear lotus flower." Albert murmured into my neck, planting a kiss on my lips mere seconds after speaking.

"Being Sergei's lapdog for all those years did have some advantages. Like learning how to manipulate the situation. However, you my love, are still leagues better than I. Now I'm going to offer her a deal she can't refuse for her to possibly be our third. Then, when we are ready to cut her lose, we test uroboros on her. The final test of her worthiness." I let out a dark chuckle,"but we both know what we will find there."

"My lotus's petals have really darkened. Let's go finish this negotiation, I have a treat for you when this is over." He said, lifting me into a gentle kiss searing with ferocity.

I could tell he was holding back. The sadist I know he was was loving the fact I had to play nice with his chosen subordinate. I had to be his delicate little flower, who obeyed his every command. He had a lot to learn about the new me.

I followed Wesk back into the room. A smirk wide on my face. Excella seemed interested in what I had under the black silk sheet. I swiftly took my seat, ripping off the black cloth revealing the beverages.

I poured Excella and I a drink from the strawberry brandy and Albert a drink from the Johnnie Walker, " Arjuna, Steve, agent Nighthawk, please leave us. I'll call ya'll back over my comm link." I said as the young men left the room.

"Now, what is the last part of this deal that you are proposing?" She asked as Albert slinks up behind her and strokes her face,"Albert!?"

"Isn't it obvious? Excella, my wife is being kind enough to share me with you, but only if you prove your loyalty to us."

"Does that mean? I'll be able to be with you, Albert?" She asked with a shocked expression.

"Only if you truly prove to be a partner to us." I said, handing her a glass of brandy, "Not just him but to me as well."

She gulped fear dripping from her brow as she took the glass i started to offer. "And let me guess, this is the only chance I have of getting with you, isn't it?" She looked up at Wesk.

He simply smirked and stood behind me. Placing a hand on my shoulder, he spoke,"This is all up to my dear lotus, Excella. Prove yourself to her, and your dreams may become a reality." He pulled my hair back, giving me a deep, passion filled kiss, "and from what I've seen, you have a long way to go."

"Unless you'd rather always be alone except those boy toy interns you keep around." I said, sipping my brandy smuggly.

She gulped once again and raised her glass," I accept these conditions."

"To us, the Matriarchs of the Pheonix Corps. and Tricell." I said raising my glass while handing Albert his scotch,"and the hierarchy of the new world."

I am giving an advanced warning the next chapter will be dark. There will be two separate cases of torturing. There will be manipulation. There will be gore blood and not good situations. Nothing Ever Lasts Forever

“Everybody Wants to Rule the World” (1985) Tears for Fears Phonogram / Mercury Records (Written by Roland Orzabal, Ian Stanley, Chris Hughes) Highest U.S. Billboard Chart Position – No. 1 I would suggest that what makes a song truly memorable, rather than its intention or craft, is the special, unidentifiable magic that allows the listener to enter into the feeling of it. The Police could sing “De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da” in 1980, and by the end of the song, one knew what they meant, kind of. In pop music, “kind of” is good enough. Such is the moment of what is arguably Tears for Fears most enduring song, “Everybody Wants to Rule the World”. In an album full of big songs (Songs from the Big Chair), and portentous messages (“Shout”, “Mothers Talk”, “The Working Hour”) as well as a gigantic, bombastic love opera (“Head Over Heels”), it was the last effort to be recorded, the album being short one song (the final only 8 tracks), and inspired by two chords Roland Orzabal kept playing over and over during down studio moments. Paired with an idea of a song originally entitled “Everybody Wants to go to War”, spurred on by producer Chris Hughes (a major contributor to the sound and feeling of the record, a masterpiece of old fashioned layered studio sound), and introduced by a sparkling synthesizer coda devised by keyboardist Ian Stanley, the song was recorded in a week (the shortest of any they attempted), was not much loved by the two singers, and then indeed took over the world.

Tears for Fears where formed by Roland Orzabal (Roland Jaime Orzabal de la Quintana) and Curt Smith in Bath, Somerset, England in 1981, after deciding to leave their first new wave band, Graduate. They were barely 21 years old when their very first record, The Hurting, debuted in 1983. The record was an immediate success, with the single “Mad World” charting at No. 3 in the UK, and they were almost immediately very famous. The Hurting was never a record I personally warmed to, not being a hit in the US in its time, and rather overlong and same-y in its synth sound (although I appreciate that to many this is sacrilege, and that they will want me strung up). The general outlook and themes of the band’s two main performers, based on Arthur Janov’s primal therapy/primal scream, was extremely heavy-handed, if sincere, and weighed the album down. It is apropos that when they finally met Janov later in the 1980s they were disillusioned by the fact that he had “gone Hollywood” and that he asked them to help write a musical based on his theories for him.

Songs from the Big Chair was to be a continuation of the same themes of lost childhoods (the title taken from the book and television movie “Sybil”, starring Sally Field, and the big chair being the safe chair in therapy where she could let her multiple personalities appear and subsequently sort out her traumatic past), but rather organically the record moved away from pure synth sounds and into standard instrumentation. In fact, I had not appreciated how much of a guitar, bass, and drums record it is until renting the Classic Albums episode on the making of the record; it is indeed full of gigantic guitar solos, lonely sax, thundering drums, and on “Head Over Heels”, the piano (!) as the driving instrument. The synth work in it (mostly by Stanley) is beautiful and atmospheric, but the soul of the album is in the studio space commandeered by Chris Hughes, as well as the slow and methodical layering of sound that makes the record so special and successful.

Management, being nervous of the insular themes the two main band members, were committed to, begged for, a single, a “driving song”, something that would inspire the listener to roll down the car window and hum along, and perhaps Chris Hughes knew this when he pushed them to flesh out the song. According to the documentary it was one accident after another: Orzabal’s overly strong singing style naturally suggested that Curt Smith take the lead, which brought a wistfulness to it; the lyrics, cobbled together, were snatches of blurry ideas only tangentially related; the shuffle beat of the song, rather than being driving and ambitious like the rest of the album, was subtle and dreamlike; and the very throwaway nature of the track lead to a kind of gentle creativity. “Shout”, the first big single they recorded during those sessions, had set the tone of the record for Hughes, but it was “Everybody” that is perhaps the lasting achievement from the LP. With the droning synthesized voices in the back of the track, the synth sounds, wonderful guitar (yes, including a blazing solo), and the mysterious blending of their two voices, it immediately invokes “that” year when you hear it, perhaps even the entire decade, by not being exactly representative of the band’s sound and purpose. Wistful and ponderous, the song has endured. We all know that “Shout, shout, let it all out” is the real credo for the two of them, but “Everybody Wants to Rule the World”, like the proverbial tortoise, snuck up from behind their giant themes to deliver their message much more softly than either of the two very emotive singers could ever have intended.

Don’t get me wrong—Songs from the Big Chair is indeed a masterpiece, each track one gem after another, and as a record, a very solid gestalt. Mostly it is a beautiful and mysterious album, one I have never tired of, and entirely deserving of its fame. Sadly, the relentless touring of the album (and their relative very young ages) ruined the relationship for Roland and Curt, and after the long, overblown production for the follow up LP The Seeds of Love (which took three long years to record, so obviously difficult it was to follow Big Chair) that they split up in 1991, and remained estranged for nearly 10 years, with Roland recording for the band alone. With their dour, pouty looks and fisherman’s sweaters, it is not clear that either band member ever actually wanted to rule over anything, but fame obviously had different plans for them. Considering the single today, not understanding exactly what “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” alludes to has ironically made the song even more persistent as a statement; beyond the gentle suggestions of the music, one cannot help but think of it as either a forecast of the greed of its era, or perhaps as the dream of a dream for the 1980s.

However, Tears for Fears' most successful single is still miraculously casting that very same spell it did in 1985. A mood will always be a mood. ***

Chris Hughes, instrumental as producer for the sound of Big Chair, co-wrote “Everybody Wants to Rule the World”. He began his career as the drummer for Adam and the Ants, and produced the band’s very influential Kings of the Wild Frontier album in 1980. He was the producer of both The Hurting and Songs from the Big Chair, and co-produced Peter Gabriel’s “Red Rain” from the album So.

Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith are both 62 years old.

Producer Chris Hughes is 70.

Ian Stanley (keyboardist) is 67. He was unhappy with the direction of Tears for Fears’ The Seeds of Love (1989), which he considered lightweight by comparison, and split from the band, eventually working with many artists, including Howard Jones on that famously heavyweight album Cross That Line (1989), and which produced his comeback single “Everlasting Love” (No. 12 in the US).

Roland and Curt reunited in 2001 and recorded tracks for Everyone Loves a Happy Ending, promising a follow-up.

Eighteen years later, in 2023, The Tipping Point was released to near universal praise and chart success, their most personal and cohesive record as a duo since Songs from the Big Chair. The scream was back, more plaintive than primal, and much more suited to their age and experience.

The Frat Initiative Part 3 - 4

This former house with friends now is a den of major sin a frag house controlled by a dom nerd and the two studs totally stripped of old memories.

Chris is bush constructing a thrown with aid of an assortment of materials to build a one of mind treasure for me his king with the aid of Sebastian.

Leaving me the time to set the trap for my next victim their older brother who is way too frequent in his visits to the property in a weekly visit.

His shadow can be seen adorning the front door in an annoying way he knocks the door swings open to his surprise he steps in to an empty home.

One large thud sends him flying in to the hall way where I wait for him quietly he slips on an orange peel sending his head on the wall he falls forward.

He drops unconscious to the floor in a deep panic he attempts to stand up a few minute later and he leans back down in soaring pain.

Clapping loudly with the sound bounces on he knelt down by his swell buff body hard and radiating with fear as my hands slip in to his pants.

I begin to grope his tense, hard and tender body feeling him up and down no torso til I

reach his cock I begin to pump him slow and then vigorously.

In pride I flip my shirt pocket open taking a vial with a plastic tin on top and dig a ring needle pricking it and fill it up to the service of the bottle.

Removing it I place it on the ground on top of paper I lay on the floor preparing the skin site and inject him one hard jab the nano tech falls in to the blood stream.

Going in to action I watch the blood on a fire high boil percolating in a steamy effect I can see the serum lose it spreading throughout his body.

Micro chip settles on the back of his neck in a multicolor patch significantly giving me the full range control over his mind, body and soul.

“Master did it work?” Chris ask walking in to the room with my thrown.

“Please say yes” Sebastian begs.

“Obviously! Don’t be stupid” I yell.

I type in a few codes in to the lap top main frame and it is so amazing to see it go to work.

Judi Dench to receive IFTA Lifetime Achievement Award in Dublin

The Irish Film & Television Academy (IFTA), which celebrates 20 years this year, will present Oscar-winning actress Judi Dench with the Irish Academy Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the world of film and television. She will receive the award and take part in a very special in conversation hosted by Deirdre O’Kane at the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin on Thursday, 6th July 2023, supported by Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland though the Screen Stakeholders Funding Scheme.

From Shakespearean stage roles to iconic film performances, Dame Judi Dench is one of the world’s most versatile and respected actors, with an illustrious career that spans over six decades. Beloved by her peers and public alike, her performances have earned her awards and accolades across the globe. She is an Oscar winner with a further seven Oscar Nominations, ten BAFTA awards, two SAG Awards and two Golden Globes to her name for her screen performances. She has also won a Tony Award and seven Olivier Awards for her theatrical work.

This special Irish Academy Lifetime Achievement Award recognises Dame Judi's body of work and her remarkable achievements. Known for her extraordinary ability to command the screen in both leading and supporting roles, she has for decades been one of the most in-demand actors working and brings enormous prestige to any project she is involved in.

Dame Judi was born in York with both of her parents having grown up in Dublin. Her mother was born in Ireland and her father born in the UK. Her parents met while studying at Trinity College. She has remained connected to her Irish heritage both personally and professionally over the many years, and brought enormous depth and empathy to her performance in Irish films Philomena and Belfast. She has collaborated with many Irish screen talent over the years including Ciaran Hinds, Kenneth Branagh, Caitriona Balfe, Jamie Dornan, Charlie Murphy, Jessie Buckley, Chris O'Dowd, Daniel Day Lewis and Michael Fassbender.

Dame Judi Dench expressed how honoured she feels to be acknowledged here in Ireland for her body of work, and said:

It's especially wonderful for me to receive this Lifetime Achievement Award from the Irish Film and Television Academy, as my family are from Ireland and it gives me a wonderful excuse to return to Dublin…

Battlestar Galactica (BS-75)

Today’s spacecraft is the Jupiter-class Battlestar Galactica (BS-75) from the 2003 Battlestar Galactica reboot continuity!

Meta info: Galactica was designed by artists Eric Chu and Chris Bell, and was intended to look sleeker, while still honoring the 1978 design.

Galactica went through many design variations before landing on the iconic design we know today. Not all of the scrapped designs were wasted though, as one went on to become the Mercury-class Battlestar Pegasus (BS-62), and some were repurposed by the team behind BSG Deadlock. We also see some of the scrapped designs appear at the Scorpia shipyards in the film ‘Razor’.

Canonical info: Galactica was the first of the original order of 12 Jupiter-class Battlestars. One Battlestar was to be assigned to each of the 12 Colonies of Kobol, with Galactica assigned to Caprica. Galactica served in the First Cylon War under the command of Commander Silas Nash. She took part in the infamous ‘Ghost Fleet Offensive’ in the late years of the war.

After an armistice was signed with the Cylons, Galactica resumed normal duties as a power-projection platform, patrolling the Colonies' borders with Cylon controlled space. In the time leading up to her decommissioning, her experienced crew was transferred to more modern ships. Command of Galactica was transferred to Cylon War veteran Commander William ‘Husker’ Adama, and the ship was to be converted into a war museum sponsored by the Ministry of Education.

However, this would never come to fruition, as shortly before Galactica's decommissioning ceremony, the Cylons launched several surprise attacks on the colonies, destroying nearly the entire Colonial fleet in the first hour, and causing the deaths of almost 60,000,000,000 people.

Galactica, along with a number of civilian vessels, fled the Colonies after it was determined that resistance was hopeless. At first, they intended to organize a counterattack, but instead resolved to search for a new home on the long-lost colony of Earth.

Additional notes: Galactica, like many ships of her time, is not equipped with a networked computer system. This is to prevent Cylon hacking attacks, which proved highly effective against colonial vessels.

D's thoughts: Galactica is an absolutely beautiful ship. She's the perfect beat-up reliable hero ship, and becomes a character unto herself over the four seasons of the series. I can't really say more without spoiling the show, so I won't. Go watch Battlestar Galactica. It's well worth your time. It’s an incredible sci-fi story from the mind of one of the best writers in the genre.

This whole Twitter debacle makes me very thankful for this hellsite (affectionate).

I like my wonky, slightly broken but comfortable Tumblr. It’s like that ancient but ridiculously comfortable sofa in the rec room: You know exactly how to sit in it to avoid all the lumps and broken springs, sometimes you find treasures buried in the cushions, sometimes you and all your friends pile on to watch tv together, and sometimes it’s just you, a cat, a cup of tea, and fan fic on a rainy day.

I am not sure where to even start in expressing my love for what they are doing with Andor. I thought when they announced this series that this was just going to be a show about Cassian Andor, but it isn’t. Not really. With each character they introduce, each layer they reveal, I have been delighted to discover that I am watching the Rebellion’s origin story. And it is messy, filled with people who are trying to work together against an enemy that has not fully revealed itself, and even those who would rebel are unfocused and have widely divergent goals and priorities.

But you can see the ember and it is exciting to watch the tiny flame wobble and flicker and inevitably catch.

Also the music score. Also the beauty of the cinematography and the seamless integration of fx and natural backdrops. Also the sheer number of characters they have introduced and allowed to have time and story enough for me to love, and to break my heart if they die or betray or are betrayed. Also for once the Empire is not simply faceless troops and nameless commanders marching in the background while Vader and the Emperor menace the world, now it is a truly terrifying organization or military and bureaucracy, filled not with zealots to the cause, but men and women who have chosen this side and who ruthlessly claw and backstab to gain power and rise in the ranks. This is an evil we all know from watching the news each day. It’s chilling and it is effective.

So good. Andor is just SO GOOD. It is well-crafted, tightly written, enthralling, and just... stellar storytelling. Bravo. I cannot wait for the rest.

the torpedo in the hull of the enterprise was detonated and the admiral was still in the room, and yet she was saved — she was transported out and to sickbay at the very last second. her injuries were severe, and in an unusual move she allowed the burn scars to be healed. during her recovery she helped to craft the cover story regarding what had happened to discovery and offered her own testimony regarding the events that had taken place. as soon as she had progressed far enough in healing, including a mandated leave, she resumed command of the washington and keeps in regular contact with chris, una, and others who were aboard during the events (especially considering she was in command for a short time) - those who know the truth - in order to keep herself from feeling so completely alone in her knowledge.

Synopsis: Freedom from Fear When he was a boy, Hal Jordan watched his father - a pilot - die in a crash. He had wanted to be like his father, but that dream died with him. Hal's elder brother Jack responded with anger, having to become more responsible overnight. His little brother Jim remained young, perhaps forgetting his father entirely. His mother, Jessica prayed, hoping to keep the tragedy she was always prepared for from happening to her children as well as her husband. Hal, though, faced his fear, and became a pilot too.

Reckless as Hal seemed in flight, it was not fearlessness that made him so. It was his terror. He had watched his father die in a plane, and he had made a choice over his grave to face that terror and defeat it, rather than run from it. However, this method had the unfortunate side-effect of making him hard to control, and Hal's recklessness got him demoted from pilot to mechanic. It was then, while he was tuning up a plane, that Hal was chosen by the Green Lantern Ring. It showed him to the crash-site of Abin Sur's craft - he would make the first known instance of contact with alien life, and all he could think was whose father this dying pilot might have been.

The alien explained the nature of the ring, and the Green Lantern Corps, offering Hal the chance to accept his role as the Green Lantern of Sector 2814 in his stead. Choosing to face his anxiety and fear about what he'd seen and heard, Hal agreed, and the ring recognized his ability to overcome fear.

But with that role came a command structure and orders. Stuck in boot camp again, he learned the nature of the Corps and how to wield the ring by force of will, and by overcoming fear. But he made the mistake of facing fear from without the Corps. When Sinestro took fear and weaponized it, he assembled a Corps of his own to spark the first War of Light.

When not needed by the Corps, Hal still sneaks flights in real planes, wondering at how his life was defined by two crashes. The first one took everything from him, while the second gifted him with more than he could imagine.

Synopsis: Blood Money On Kate Kane's twelfth birthday, her twin sister Beth and her mother Gabi were kidnapped thought to be murdered by terrorists. It was her own father, Jacob who found her and rescued her from that place, warning her not to look back at the carnage that he carried her from.

Later that day, she had not yet fully accepted what happened when she walked down the stairs from her room to find her father weeping next to the unused party decorations. Hugging her to him, he promised that they would soldier on. They would be okay.

Years later, Kate would give up her place at West Point by admitting to her superior officer that she was gay. She had already been under investigation for her homosexual conduct, and rather than lie, she told the truth. When she told her father what had happened, he was proud of her integrity.

After entering a bar-hopping rebellious phase, Kate was attacked in an alley by a mugger, and fought back using her military training. Though she fought off her attacker, she was seen by the Batman, who - though impressed - warned her not to make a habit of it. Inspired by his example, she took up vigilantism using stolen ordnance, drawing her father's attention. Though he disapproved, when he realized her conviction, Jake agreed to train her and help her to become the Batwoman.

Sometime later, she met Maggie Sawyer at a ball and began a romantic relationship, resulting in their engagement. After all that had happened to her, though, Kate never forgot her mother or sister - or the positive influence of her father.

Synopsis: Secret Identity Against the odds, Tim Drake discovered the Batman's identity. It had taken him ages to narrow it down to two candidates in Bruce Wayne and Enrique Fluente - a dead arms dealer. One night, his mother called him away from his search to participate in his gymnastics event. While the games were muscle memory for him, his mind was focused on his search. During his routine, he spotted two elderly men watching, and found their presence suspicious.

Assuming that it must have been Bruce Wayne scouting him, he followed the clues to the Gotham Aviary, and found Batman waiting for him. Unable to bring himself to out his idol, Tim simply stated that he wanted to apply for the role of the new Robin. He already knew that two had come before - and he suspected something bad had happened to the most recent one. Batman refused him, and left, but this only drove Tim to work harder.

He spent weeks trying harder, and digging deeper, forgetting to eat and giving up on school work. Learning that he could not get to Bruce directly, he decided instead to target one of Batman's enemies; the Penguin. His hacked bank account led Cobblepot to send assassins to Tim's house, and Batman did come, to protect Tim and his family. Unfortunately, the end result was that Tim had to give up his parents to a witness protection program and give up his real name for his own safety.

However, he was welcomed into Wayne Manor, and he pretended to act surprised when he "discovered" the Batcave - though its contents and scope were quite surprising indeed. Before long, Batman offered him the role of Robin. Not wanting to replace Jason Todd, but rather honour him, Tim chose a different name for himself: Red Robin.

It came as no surprise to Batman when Tim eventually decided to move on, and do other things, like leading the Teen Titans.

Taylor having positive review for terminal list should be good for him. Do you think he would be in the lead for something like this is if didn’t come down to money? Like Chris being more bankable because of his marvel and blockbuster movies and Taylor having the unfortunate John carter blame 2012 year.

People have been asking what the reviews are like for ‘The Terminal List’. Mediocre, at best. However, most if not all of Taylor’s mentions are glowing.

The supporting cast around Pratt is impressive, despite some being ludicrously underutilized. Taylor Kitsch's performance as Reece's ally Ben Edwards is one of the biggest highlights of the series. Both Kitsch and Pratt are at their best in their scenes together, with authentic chemistry that makes the brotherly bond they have for one another palpable, and it's their interactions that give the show the majority of its emotional elements. After initially risking overexposure in the early 2010s, it's truly nice to see Kitsch getting these types of roles that genuinely bring out his charisma.

Nonetheless, The Terminal List remains entertaining (in a morbid and somewhat depressing way) throughout. Taylor Kitsch is phenomenal as one of the few trusted friends Reece has left in the world, and even the bitter reviews that panned the show point out his soulfulness and magnetic appeal.

It leads viewers to look outside of the lead pair for entertainment. Jai Courtney shows up in the third episode, and he really shifts the tone of the series, giving it a much-needed villain. Kitsch is an underrated actor, and the show would have actually been significantly more interesting if he and Pratt had switched parts. The great Riley Keough plays Reece’s wife, and again there’s a temptation to re-cast, putting the unpredictable actress in the less thankless role of the unpredictable journalist. When the most interesting thing about a new action series is playing a what-if game of recasting it, there’s a problem.

Meanwhile, Taylor Kitsch adds some much-needed soul as Reece's friend Ben, who immediately gets on board with his campaign yet also nudges him towards introspection more than anyone else. While Pratt's eyes are conspicuously empty in a role that requires visible emotional pain to work, Kitsch's effortlessly hold all the conflict the story needs in his.

Taylor Kitsch is technically the second lead, and his brotherhood with Pratt feels organic. He has his fair share of action scenes, and he handles himself like a boss.

All of that said, The Terminal List isn't entirely a mess. Tripplehorn is outstanding as Secretary of State Lorraine Hartley, crafting a character that you simultaneously respect yet don't fully trust, while Wu's Katie Buranek is fierce and has just the right amount of suspicion. Garrett's Commander Fox has a somewhat smaller role, but he delivers a steady and very human performance that makes you wonder what his story is. Kitsch switches from being a hoot to being lethally serious and it's a whiplash that works. These performances alone make toughing out the full eight episodes possible.

Brianna is a kind, caring and nice girl, she's also feisty, stubborn, and can get mad or annoyed at someone who accused her for something she didn't do or tries to get her in trouble. She loves her friends, family, and her secret crush, Adrien. She easily hides her jealousy whenever other girls such as Chloe or Lila flirts with Adrien. She knew Marinette has a crush on the same boy that she has a crush on, so she supports her, even though it'll break her heart if Adrien ever dates Marinette.

As Loup Gris, she is stronger and her confidence, cleverness, and bravery are more prominent. No matter the difficulty of her tasks, she does everything in her power to set things right while keeping up with her everyday responsibilities. Like Ladybug and Cat Noir, she is also clever with her words and occasionally enjoys making puns. She also shows her loyalty towards to the duo, and cares for them and will do anything to protect them. She is very loyal to her partners, but sometimes her loyal can get her into trouble since she doesn't want to get into a fight with them.
