What a cast, like damn.

I enjoyed the song where they harmonize. Also there group jump was well done.

Spoiler: [About Rob Burgundy, a famous and well-liked news anchor of San Diego. His crew consists of Brian Fantana, Champ Kind, and Brick Tamland. They throw a party and Ron discovers a beautiful woman, who he tries to court, but fails. He meets her the following day when she is introduced as the newest addition to the news station as Veronica Corningstone. The whole team tries to woo her, but they are all blatantly pigs. They also don’t like a woman working here in a men’s environment. Ron eventually tries to show her around San Diego and she agrees. He shows her the city, plays jazz flute at their dinner restaurant, and they end up having sex. She wants their relationship to be a secret, but he announces it to the whole news room and on the air. Ron is driving one day and throws his burrito out the window and it hits a motorcyclist, causing him to crash. The motorcyclist then takes Ron’s dog, Baxter, and kicks him off the bridge. During this time, Veronica takes over as anchor and is a sensation. Ron arrives and is upset at the news. They are now co-anchors and are broken up. The team go through town and comes across the second rated news station crew and they fight after even more news stations come to join in. One of the employees tells Veronica that Rob reads everything on the teleprompter verbatim. She uses this to her advantage and makes him curse San Diego live. The city now hates him and he is fired. He goes on an alcoholic binge and his friends are also told not to talk to him or they are fired. During the birth of a pregnant panda, which is great news, every news station is trying to get a shot, which is covered. Veronica finds it only to have another news anchor push her over a railing, into a bear’s den. They are still sleeping, but now the boss doesn’t know where she is and calls Ron in to replace her. He makes a signal for his team to unite and then goes only to find Veronica. He jumps into the den to save her and so does his team. The news switch over to broadcasting them. They are able to fight the bears, but win only due to Baxter showing up and communicating to the bears about having met one of the bear’s cousin. They climb out through a ladder and the second rated newscaster is about to push him off again, but says he respects him and gives him a hand over. It ends with Ron and Veronica getting back together, Brian being a host of Intercourse Island, Brick being married with 11 children while being Bush’s top political adviser, and Champ being a commentator for the NFL and having sexual assault allegations against him by an NFL player.]

soooooo yesterday my sister found this dude wandering around on our farm. he had a makeshift harness made of twine tied onto him and he seemed to be fed, but he was filthy and matted. no chip, no tags, but very sweet. he put up with my sister and I giving him baths and working mats away from his eyes and other more sensitive areas... he's intact. we can't tell how old he is and he's still not sure about me, but for now I'm keeping him at my parents' house until we can either figure out a home for him or get in contact with a no-kill shelter who can take him also we named him Baxter because he looks like ron burgundy's dog if only I was in a position to adopt him myself... 😭

In the sixteenth episode of Laugh-In Theater, host Andy Atherton is joined by Matt Souza (Jenny And The Gems) to do a live watch of the 2004 comedy, Anchorman: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy. Movie Revisit: Anchorman 1 vs. Anchorman 2

Both Anchorman 1 (2004) & 2 (2013) are still enjoyable in 2017. But I actually found myself snorting a lot more at the sequel due to the fact that I didn’t see every single joke coming. Whereas, I can probably narrate the original at this point due to the number of times I’ve seen it.

Anchorman 1

The introduction to San Diego’s star-studded cast of Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell), Brick Tamland (Steve Carell), Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd), Champ Kind (David Koechner) and Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate) is jaw-dropping enough. But then you throw in Wes Mantooth (Vince Vaughn), Arturo Mendes (Ben Stiller) and Frank Vitchard (Luke Wilson) in the anchor teams melee?! Wow, are there some funny people in this shindig.

Anchorman 2 – What the sequel may lack in quality, it trumps the original in quantity of celebrities. Drake (Soulbrother) gives an appearance to start the film, making a comment about Veronica’s ass. Chani Lastname (Kristen Wiig)’s character interactions with Brick were nothing short of hysterical. Will Smith, Sacha Baron Cohen, Kanye West, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and more join the news fight this time around, too.

Scattered Thoughts: Holy shit. Is Will Ferrell really 50 years old? Damn, time flies.

Garth Holliday (Chris Parnell) calling Ron Burgandy a “poopmouth” after the news anchor’s “go fuck yourself, San Diego” sign off is up there for my favorite scene in Anchorman 1. Chris Parnell has actually had quite the comedy career – Garth, Jerry Smith (Rick and Morty), Dr. Leo Spaceman (30 Rock) and Saturday Night Live in 3 separate decades.

Anchorman 2’s Jack Lime (James Marsden) has since become a more mainstream figure due to his role in HBO’s “Westworld.”

Verdict: Both are great comedies, and the second one is no slouch, either, despite what Rotten Tomatoes might have you believe.
