This one is definitely something that has high potential of me actually writing too. Because like, yeah. The Party is Marge Simpson "I just think they're neat" potato meme about Steve. He's so shaped.

I imagine a scene where Dustin, early fall of '85, is complaining to Lucas and Mike about another failed attempt to get Steve Officially (as he can't actually be Pack unless he KNOWS he's pack, ya feel? Like he IS their pack but also he doesn't know so not really but yes but no...) I imagine Steves parents sitting him down, after his nineteenth birthday (which I headcanon as April first) and very carefully explaining to him that Monsters Are Real.

And Steve sitting there, nearly eight months into knowing that, trying to pretend he doesn't. Pretending that since Robin told him she was a Selkie and the Party told him about being werewolves, he'd sort of, kind of, become any supernatural beings' go to babysitter. Sort of.

It started with a litter of pups he stumbled across in the woods who seemed really friendly for being abandoned in the woods and welcomed the water he brought them and the ear scritches he gave, that he didn't even realize were werewolf children until a couple came crashing through the trees frantically and stopped to watch as he helped a puppy get a leaf off its paw. And the pups are waggled over to the woman and the man looked at Steve with a twitchy nose and then Steve realized they were scenting him because ohhhh. Werewolves.

And Steve went "uh. I think they forgot how to change back? Good luck?" And left. Because what else was he going to do?

So it became a thing. Little magical creatures were told that if all else fails, Steve Harrington will make sure you're safe and looked after until your parents could get to them. He amassed a Rolodex of the contact info near-human folk of Hawkins, and a reputation for being a damn good babysitter. And also somehow having a gaggle of kids around him whenever he went to the park.

So his parents go on and on about things Steve already knows about and he's wondering why they're telling him all of it and also how they know and then they mention how these things are dangerous. How they must be removed. Destroyed. Killed.

Because that's what Harringtons do, they hunt monsters in the night and keep the good, normal, human folks of america safe.

And Steve, who knows that there are supernatural creatures in Hawkins; who knows what actual monsters in Hawkins look like and has hit them with a spiked bat and an axe; who can't go three blocks before some pup or fae or gnome or whatever decides to follow him like a duckling; who little lost kids of all shapes and sizes flock to in order to get back home; sits there and listens as his parents tell him how to kill them. How to salt and burn the remains.

He grips the edge of the table with white knuckles and purposefully evens his breath. He will not betray The Party, or Robin, or any of the families who have found a safe haven in Hawkins to live their lives peacefully. And isn't it ironic, that the place the Harringtons supposedly live, the place they are barely in because of legitimate business and the family business takes them across the country, is a hotbed for supernatural activity. It happened right under their noses, and their only son and heir was at the centre of it. The Human in a Pack of werewolves, platonic soulmate to a Selkie, potential.... something to a vampire, babysitter of all the little creatures of the county.

So Steve tries to make a plan. He can't let his parents know that Hawkins is anything but a quiet human town, but he can't let them keep hurting innocents either. It's either a long con of taking up his family mantle and changing things from inside, manipulating the system like he did in highschool to his whims, or dismantling it loudly and more dramatically which could back fire.

Either way, as soon as his parents leave again (for human related business), he takes the family Grimoire, his birthright, and calls an All Party Meeting.

He slams the tome onto the table and says, simply,

"we've got a problem"

I sent the boarding school Tim ask lmao (tbh I almost wanna list all the asks I've made that you've so graciously and beautifully answered, but that's for a different ask lmao)

It's funny bc after I sent it I realized there were some pieces missing that I wanted to add, so this kind of works in my favor! I'll try my best to recreate it:

The idea was Tim being knocked up and slutting around his boarding school, but I originally intended for it to start in a different, more innocent way.

His boarding school is an uppity, high class one, and it's grades k-12. So when Tim starts attending at 8, he becomes familiar enough with it. He's a normal student, flies under the radar, and there isn't anything that stands out about him. The only weird thing about Tim is his obsession with the bats

The summer Tim turns 12, he runs into Jason Todd one night and they become... close. They're normal friends for about a week before Jason initiates making out. Within two weeks of hanging out, Tim has popped all of his cherries. So every school year, like clockwork, Tim swells and swells with a baby and then pops them out, no idea who the father might be (save his firstborn, ofc).

The timing eventually works out that Tim gives birth in April, earlier than usual in the school year. He's gonna be 15 in July and this will be his 4th baby, his other 3 absolutely perfect and thriving. He's healed up from his delivery in time to be marathon fucked by half the school (staff included) the two weeks before the year ends and summer starts. Tim goes home with his toddler, babies, and newborn, already pregnant again, so when he comes back to school the next year, he's already just barely showing, delivering in March, and then pregnant again by the time he and his children return home for the summer.

Maybe Jason eventually comes back and finds Tim and meets their baby? Maybe Bruce catches wind of Tim and his little army of babies who are rumored to all be fathered by strangers (which isn't entirely a lie, but not entirely the truth either) and takes him in out of pity (and then sends him to his final year in boarding school four months along with twins, babies 7 and 8 when Tim is just 17 years old)? Or maybe Tim just stays in the boarding school, constantly pregnant and being fucked full of cum by anyone who will give it to him, and his teachers and peers wonder what kind of fate awaits him after he'll graduate, having been turned into a cumdrunk baby factory.

Background: 

Aj was born into a very wealthy (which is still an understatement) family. His father Declan du Pont is one of the heirs to the du Pont dynasty and the current CEO of Tournay du Pont co. His mother is Cadieux CEO and famed fashion designer, Nadine du Pont-Moreau. He was born in Monaco during one of his parents' many trips there and partially raised in his father's hometown of Long Island, New York for the better part of his life when he wasn't off jet-setting to different parts of the world for any number of reasons.

He definitely grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth but has spent a great deal of time learning that he has privilege and he should listen before commenting on things he doesn’t understand.

AJ's rebellious streak growing up was not for the faint of heart. He spent a great deal of time flirting with and even sleeping with the wives (WANTED CONNECTION) of other rich men in their social circle, going to parties he had no business being at, doing drugs he shouldn't have been doing and streaking through Vegas (there's a tabloid story somewhere) all before he was even 21.

This rebellious 'phase' resulted in a short stint in rehab that his parents practically forced on him. He also had what he called an adult baby sitter assigned to him - even though it didn't stop him from going back to the same scene. A few more trips and he got the hint to get his shit together. While he's not fully sober, he's California Sober. He attends meetings if he feels he needs it and overall, hears his own body out.

AJ didn't take the traditional ivy league school option when he finished high school. He instead opted to go and see more of the world. He had all the money he needed at his disposal and what more could he learn in a classroom than in the actual world. He had travelled to parts of Africa, Asia, and South America in an effort to learn about different cultures and customs and then jetted off to North America, Australia and parts of Europe before finally settling back in France.

While he should've been cleaning up his act, the travelling, primarily the latter continents involved more partying and scandalous headlines that his parents didn't like - including a photo of their son passed out at the foot of the Cristo Redentor (Chris the Redeemer) Statue.

While it made Aj and his buddies laugh, his parents felt differently and told him he had responsibilities and he couldn't take over Tournay du Pont co & Cadieux if he was going to be reckless. They'd always told him it would inevitably be his to lead. He chose to enrol into a university and get his business degree like the good little rich boy they expected him to be - not without his fair share of frat parties of course.

The thing with AJ is he doesn't want to live up to the family name and live this boring stuffy life that keeps him so busy he can't live it. The double edged sword is that he's very good at it. He has a keen eye for both the fashion industry and the tech industry. He enjoys the work but he wonders if it's all he's worth. No one takes him seriously enough to do the job but they all expect him to do it regardless. 

He's feeling lost in trying to figure out his next steps and what he wants in life but he's also trying to distract himself from adulting by having meaningless hookups and avoiding forming connections because he feels he'll get too caught up in his 'birth right' jobs and not be able to commit to people the way they should be.

Aj is very charming - whether that's something the money and confidence provides or just his natural essence, it is undeniable and can be quite frustrating at times.

He can be quick to anger when dealing with incompetence or certain levels of frustration but it's been a long while since someone has made him angry to a point that he expresses it.

He can be quite the nerd when in his natural element and thanks to the vast amounts of money afforded to him, he owns an expansive comic book collection.

He is very business savy and it shows from the types of investments he makes and the care he puts into those investments. There may be on reckless investment in the form of a race track at his home in Monaco.

Aj can be quite impulsive and either make a stupid mistake or say something stupid which tends to get him slapped or laid, sometimes both. See above about race track for impulsive decision making.

The one thing he chooses to keep to himself is that he is very generous. He takes a special interest in the foundations run by his family - his favourite elements of the 'businesses' he's inheriting. He actively attends the meetings and tries to make meaningful contributions which often get shut down because no one takes him serious but there are moments where his Uncle Pierre will support him.

He's got a decent relationship with both his parents despite their respective affairs and he has a good relationship with his sisters. It's ironic he's the black sheep despite being the only one who doesn't have issues with the others.

wife of someone in his social circle: this would be a woman that is significantly older than aj. she can be a friend of his parents' or a wife of a business partner of some sort but this could be an intricate plot

rival: someone aj doesn't get along with or has a poor history with. maybe aj slept with their mom or they are members of competing businesses (in any sector). Or maybe Aj was a douchebag when they crossed paths, he tends to have multiple personalities.

someone who's business he invests in: as stated above, aj has an expansive investment profile and this includes a few businesses. He's intelligent enough to know money doesn't last without having multiple streams of income in different sectors so this doesn't even have to be a topic aj would know about. It would be interesting to see where this plot could lead.

hookups: like i said, aj is trying to have some fun and distract himself and he's been doing that. this could Segway into other types of connections but putting it out there.

Monster March- Day 25 - Angel

Half of My Forever

Because what is more divine than love?

Huge thanks to @borealwrites for their Monster March 2023 prompts. I am trying SO HARD. To finish these before May. Because it's the end of April. and I'm literally a month behind. Because Covid decided to pay me a visit, and took it's dear sweet time to leave, and leaving me with an upper respitory infection as a going away present.

Anyway, here's some sweet fluff.

Monster March 2023 Day 25 - Angel 

Half of My Forever

“Well hello Beautiful Rhenphrie.” A very familiar heavenly angel said as he came sidling up next to you as you were getting ready to fly in the cyclone in the clouds with your brethren.  

“Hello Angel.” You replied with a smile and a subtle shake of your head because he had been “showing up” a lot more frequently as of late, well, ever since you reached maturity, that is. 

“It’s Serephiel.” He reminded you, as if you’d ever forget. 

“It’s always hard to tell you angel types apart, all of you look the same.” You teased as he rolled his eyes but smiled at the fun you were poking at him. 

“We do not.” He insisted. 

“It’s you moura who all look alike.” He insisted. 

“Right.” You sarcastically agreed as you changed your earrings in your ear to better frame your face from the curtain of white blonde hair. 

“Yet, out of how many of us? You manage to remember all of our names?” You returned. 

“Look, I was created in perfection. So therefore, I’m able to remember all of you perfectly. Although there seems to be double your numbers this year as there was last year. Did your species double in number again?” He asked as he looked around. 

“Look, this new world has a world five times as big, with a sun five times as powerful. It’s not our fault if we take that and use it to our advantage. Besides, reproduction is such a pleasurable experience, and carrying a little life isn’t what it used to be. My parents insist that it took much longer and hurt a lot more than it does right now.” You insisted as you were relieved to not be on baby sitter duty tonight. 

“Do you still miss your old world?” He asked. 

“Nope. Not one bit. Granted, keeping track of my friends in the seas is a lot harder than it used to be. But I’m happy that the red algae didn’t follow them. And honestly, if the spheres were to try to converge tomorrow, I don’t think a single one of us would choose to go back. I know we wouldn’t all fit, that’s for sure.” You murmured before you readjusted your neckline of your gown. 

Since the convergence. You and your fellow moura were celebrating a full ten years in this new world. And the heavens that the regular angels inhabited were just above the cloud realm and unseen to anyone who didn’t have magical or a spiritual plane of vision. It was very pretty though. 

“So you decided to come down here with the mortals huh?” You teased him as you bumped him with your hip playfully while you changed little details about your outfit to suit your mood as you preened your feathers in your wings while your feet rested comfortably in the clouds themselves. 

“Guilty as charged.” He admitted. 

“Here to fly in the cyclone too? But,  don’t you have heavenly tasks to attend to? Keeping the gates to the pearly heavens safe from the other dangerous beings from below?” You asked him as you had noticed he seemed to be hanging around an awful lot lately. 

“Well, I wanted to come and see if after your flight, you’d want to come and take a stroll with me. There’s a river of golden waters inside, and it’s practically a paradise. I think you’d enjoy it.” He invited. 

“But aren’t I not spiritual, or would it be- magical enough- to be let in?” You posed to him, a bit wearily. 

“Nope, on the contrary, you’d fit right in and would be more than welcome.” He insisted. 

“Why is it so important to you that I come?” You asked him. 

“So? Doesn’t that prohibit me from entering your heavens?” You asked. 

“Because I was just talking with the Taunstons, and it’ll be another 90 years before they try to unmerge the spheres, and like you said, mouras aren’t eager to go back to your homeworld, so I was just letting you know, that if you wanted to, you could always find a place with me, or us rather.” He invited as he actually seemed bashful at the notion as his cheeks darkened which got you to give him a curious look.

“You’re a being of heaven. I’m a being, of magic and spirituality- true. But I’m still flesh and blood, last I checked at least.” You reminded him once you made sure each feather in the mirror’s surface was in perfect symmetry with the corresponding feather in the other wing.

“So?” He asked. 

“No.” He shook his head no. 

“Look, if the demons, who can take flesh and blood bodies can enter the heavenly realm, there shouldn’t be anything to keep you and your kind from doing the same. Besides, The Prince said you and your kind would always be welcomed in his city.” He insisted. 

“Are you sure I won’t get you in trouble if I were to accept your invitation?” You questioned him. 

“Absolutely.” He answered. 

“Why do I keep seeing more and more angels among us?” You asked him. 

“Well, besides your beauty and perfectly pleasant nature. You’re good company to have. And, well, I like you. Specifically you.” He finally confessed. 

“Me? Not…” you began to list off all your sisters and then all your cousins and then all the other female mouras you knew. 

“Yes, you. Just you.” He confirmed.

“Why me?” You asked him. 

“Because you’re…for lack of a better word- perfect. And even if I can only spend the next 90 years with you. I don’t want to waste a single second of it.” He insisted. 

“And if you get to have some immortality with me in my realm, then I want you to have it. I just..I really, really like you and adore you and I don’t want to spend, another moment without you if I don’t have to.” 

“Don’t they have female angels up there?” You asked him. 

“They do. They just, um, well they are all here, and well, you see.” He gestured to the female angels who were currently chatting up several of your brothers and cousins and male friends before you noticed that one couple in particular, the woman was already pregnant. 

“So you want us to have what they have?” You nodded over to the pair. 

“Yeah.” He confirmed with a soft adoring look at them before he turned his gaze over to you. 

“Ok, fine. Fly with me, dance with me and then you can take me up to your heavens and if they let me in, they let me in. But if I’m not good enough…” You began before he silenced you with a kiss that was practically desperate. 

“You are, you always were.” He insisted. 

“What will we do if I’m not?” You questioned. 

“It’ll be the best in the realm.” He assured you before you took his hand flew with him around the cyclone and then danced with him from the music performed by the various angels and mouras alike before he took you to the gate before you squeezed his hand extra tightly, worried that the other angels at the gates would not let you in. 

“Then I’m perfectly content with staying here with you. I’ll build you a house in these clouds with my own two hands if I have to and we will spend however long together that we can. I’ll find a way to give you half of my forever.” He insisted.

“Ok, ok. I want a really nice one though.” You insisted. 

“Please, let us enter.” He requested before the large pearl like door was opened and you were almost afraid to breathe as you walked beside him and walked right into the heavens with him. 

He was right. It was stunning, and so beautiful and a paradise without compare before you seemed to finally breathe a sigh of relief. 

“See? Told you.” He beamed happily as he kissed the crown of your head before he slid a wedding ring onto your finger. 

“As much as you are mine, I am yours.” He vowed before you did the same, taking one of the smaller feathers from your wing and turned it into a ring of gold and slid it onto the corresponding finger on his hand too. 

“As much as you are mine, I am yours, for now, until…” 

“Until the end of time itself.” He murmured before he kissed you sweetly and soundly all the same. 

“Come, a home for the both of us.” He showed you to his heavenly home as you marveled at it’s sheer luxury and magnificence.

“And a third? Maybe a fourth?” You hinted as you looked from him to the bed then back to him. 

“And a fifth if you want.” He readily agreed as he pulled you to lay in the bed with him, it’s soft blankets and super soft cushioned bed a perfect place to lay down and rest and enjoy each other.

bella, where the hell you been loca?

Last year I rediscovered Tumblr and then I was on a roll, then I fell off! I’m not entirely sure how that happened but I’m back and I have a lot to say!

I’m not even sure where to start so here’s a 2023 recap;

January was calm from what I can recollect, I was still getting my autonomy back and the 31st of that month marked the one year anniversary since my accident and I’m not sure if I mentioned this but I also got a car a few days before my year anniversary which was very special to me to have been able to come full circle like that. Romantically, I didn’t have anything going on. I was going dates to fill the time but nothing serious ever evolved from any of it.

February brings me to my first trip of the year and the first time I had been able to use my flight benefits. Ashley and I took a day trip to New York and came home and drove to Miami for a day, it was quick but fun! Since I was mobile in more way than one now, I was getting back to my “old” self again. Getting dressed, hanging out with my friends.

March was nothing to write home about either. I had training for a new position at work and spent a lot of time with my niece. I can’t recall anything major happening this month either if I’m being honest. I can remember emotionally feeling a little sad because I was feeling disconnected from the world. I had gotten a little busy with work and I was becoming a little bit of a hermit crab again.

April is when the year started to pick up a little speed for me. Adel and I took a trip to Puerto Rico, it was the first time for the both of us. We had so much fun we ended up extending for another day. During this time I started to get a little into fitness and I was shedding my little hermit crab shell again. Maybe it was the braids, the tan and the warm weather, but life was feeling like life again.

May started with a bang! I went on a cruise with like 12 other family members and we had a blast. It was short but we still enjoyed ourselves. The whole month was actually pretty eventful. Allie’s surprise 30th party was that month and I also got to see Bryson Tiller live with Zamira. We sang and cried our little hearts out. Eli’s birthday is also in May so we celebrated her too. As you can see, we are well into the year and we are still batting zero in romance department, but we keep living.

June may still go down as my favorite month of the year. As soon as the month started I went to Miami with Cindy and Eli to go see Kathy before she popped out her new baby but you know we still turned it into a trip while we were out there. The week after I got back I went to Chicago with Gabby and some of the girls for her Bachelorette Trip. It wasn’t my first time in Chicago but it was the first time I spent real time there and I really enjoyed myself. When I got back from Chicago, I went to the Sorry Papi Tour with Eli and Cindy! I also had training for what would be my second promotion of the year. We also found out the gender of my brother’s newest baby, it was a boy!

July I tried to sit my ass down but I think I still had June ants in my pants. I spent 4th of July with Liz and Amanda and the kids which I love to do. I flew to Texas a few days later to spend Adel’s birthday with her. Such a cute little trip. I was trying to get back into rest mode this moth so I didn’t pop out too much after that. I remember going downtown one hot ass night with Amanda and Liz and then just spending the rest of the month in my pool trying not to die of heatstroke. I also made one year with my job, which came pretty quickly.

August is when life started to get a little interesting I think lol. This month I was feeling overwhelmed with my living situation and in that same swoop someone I know needed a dog-sitter for a few days so I packed my shit and was a dog mom for like 4 days. I won’t get into too many details but long story short, that was the last time I ever saw that person because they lied about their flight being canceled so they could stay an extra day knowing their dog was sick and I was ready to go home. That weekend was also the weekend we celebrated my Grammy’s 65th birthday. This weekend, I also started going back and forth with a handsome man that I had always been interested in back it just never seemed to happen. Before the month was over, we had hung out a few times and if I am being honest, I was feeling pretty optimistic. I blame my Sagittarius Venus for that.

September rolls around and we celebrate my godson Zavier, my niece Amaia also turned 2 this month. Not to mention, my little sister turned 18 on us! All the while, things with this handsome man seem to be working in my favor. We are spending a good amount of time together, I’m getting to know him more and I am liking what I’m seeing. At this point, the only things I’ve been up to is working, working out, spending time with my family and seeing him when I could. I think it’s important to note that neither one of us had really said anything about how we felt about the other. Everything was more of a “use your context clues” kinda vibe for a little. I also didn’t want to get ahead of myself so I was just going with the flow.

October is finally here! This is my birthday month so I knew the vibes were gonna be 1000. We kicked off the month celebrating my cousin Jazmin. We had a cousin’s night out and we had a blast. The next week was Gabby’s wedding so I traveled to the Dominican Republic for the first time. The wedding was beautiful and I cried my eyes out pretty much the whole weekend. Plus, I was the ONLY single person there. Don’t tell me I’m not one of God’s strongest soldiers because my lord lol. In between this, I am still seeing the handsome man but at this rate I have developed feelings for him and I don’t know what to do with them. So naturally, I decided to do nothing and bury them. But we were still hanging out so that was getting hard. My birthday rolls around but this year I wanted to spend it solo. So a few days before I went to dinner with some of my best friends and on the day of I just hung out with my brothers.

November hits and I’m literally catching a flight on the 1st. For my solo trip, I went to Sacramento to see my favorite artist Victoria Monet. It was an AMAZING show, I am so happy I went. While I was out there I think there was one day that I literally didn’t even speak. It was so peaceful. But it gave me time to think about some things and I felt like I was getting in over my head with the handsome man so I started to subconsciously pull back a little. When I came back from my trip, I saw him for what I didn’t know then would be the last time for 4 months. But looking back, that last time felt different. Something felt off. On the bright side, I did have training for another promotion, that makes 3 for the year. I also got to take my brother to see the Magic play at an in-season play-off game which was dope. The best thing that happened this month was rekindling my friendship with Eyad. We ran into one night out and decided to make a pact to hang out once a week and we’ve been sticking to it! He’s legitimately become one of my best friends.

December marks the end of this relatively smooth year. Christmas is my favorite holiday so the vibes were up. I hadn’t really spoken to the handsome man because I was trying to swallow those feelings I had for him. Then one day, he asks me if I listen to Christmas music and sends me a playlist. That playlist sends me into a frenzy and I can’t think straight for like 2 days. If you know me, you know how much I love music and thoughtful gifts so the me a playlist is the perfect depiction of that. It might not hold that kinda weight for everyone, and it’s probably silly, but no one has ever made me a playlist before so I was geekin’. That drove me to finally tell him how I feel about him, sort of. I told him that I like him but there’s so much more I wanted to say. He told me he liked me too but, at this point what his but was doesn’t matter because having a “but” in the first place just puts a stop to everything. What I will say is that his “but” was enough for him to just decide I need to fall back. With the tale as old as time, as I pulled away, I could feel his energy more. I tried doing on dates to distract myself but it didn’t work. The only thing that worked was time.

Fast forward to April 2024, so far I have gone on two trips and both have been with Adel. We went to New York and we just back came back from Atlanta. So far, I am on promotion number one of the year and in July I will make 2 years with my job. I have seen the handsome man again and he has sent me yet another playlist. Do I still have feelings for him? I think so, but I can’t keep driving myself crazy wondering, I have to keep on living and remember that what’s for me, will always be for me. If you made it this far, thank you for your time. This felt really good for me to release.

Children naturally reject the concept of religion after a certain age. Never mentioned religion to my kids. Thankfully we don’t live near family so all outside interactions are with distant relatives, friends or baby sitters. My oldest asked what Easter is actually about and told her of the crucifixion and rising from the dead etc. We Googled everything so we get the ‘correct’ story. Also Googled Jesus and his origins. After all that she gives me a puzzled look and says ‘there are grownups that believe in this?!’. I nod and she says ‘this is worse than Santa!’. She’s only 10 and the Santa story was debunked by one of her cousins last year. She has a picture book on the evolution of the world since she was old enough to read- it explains the journey of life from the formation of the solar systems to the dinosaurs to animals and modern humans. This makes sense to her. The snake tricking Adam and Eve doesn’t. Just goes to show how powerful childhood indoctrination is- children aged 5-9, when they start learning about the world, they will believe what is taught to them and it becomes their core belief. Even if they age out of fairytales, they can’t rationally reject stories their whole family believes in as adults. Kids raised without religion will never be drawn to religion (there will be exceptions, of course). Because this fairytale has a lot of rules and not very friendly. I used to think that my kids would be curious about God and have lots of questions when the time came, but it seems I won’t have this problem. They don’t ‘get’ the story behind the concept of God and it doesn’t interest them. If anything, they find it weird and absurd. If they made it a law to ban all kids under age 10 to learn about any religion, the world order would change in 1 generation. Something I’m curious about—Baxter’s child(ren). We know he’s a dad, so what are his kids’ names? What are they like? Do they play a major role in the story?

He's got two sons, Booker and Orion. Booker is nine, and Orion is five.

Like their dad, they're very smart, with Booker having skipped a grade and Orion being considered advanced for his age. Booker is practically a mini-Stockman (except he has friends his age lol) but is more interested in video games than robots. He's either going to become a video game developper or a professional streamer when he grows up. Orion is more interested in arts and crafts, and genuinely thinks his dad is the coolest person ever.

They serve a pretty minor role in the story: they're here to humanize Stockman. A late episode of season 3 would be about Stockman getting fired from his job for some bullshit that is genuinely not his fault, and them being there would help for the audience to root for Stockman when he 1) reacts by ruining his boss' life, and 2) make them worry for him when he gets temporarily hired by the Foot. Their presence explains why he stays in the Foot for half of season 4 before getting mutated (they're using his kids to blackmail him), and Booker contacts Donnie to find their dad who went missing after said mutation. Afterwards, Stockman decides to get a hold of himself, put his kids first, stop picking fights with mutant turtles and gets a respectable job under Bishop. (Bishop is kinda shady, but he's not going to harass a single dad of two who's also the guy doing maintenance work on his prosthetics)

Also, April is their baby-sitter, and has asked one of the boys (either Leo or Mikey) to fill in for her on multiple occasions. Stockman has no idea lol.

Day 9: Family -- @cherrymagic31​

The other side of the bed was cool. Kurosawa’s fingers curled into the sheets, eyes slowly blinking open when he couldn’t find Adachi’s warmth in the dark. His eyes still felt heavy, exhaustion weighing in the back of his mind, but the staticky sound of the baby monitor on the end table quickly alerted him to Adachi’s likely whereabouts. He had a vague memory of Adachi leaning over to kiss him, murmuring that he’d be right back.

A light humming echoed over the small monitor. 

A smile rose to Kurosawa’s face.

Adachi really was the perfect father.

Kurosawa knew he should try to fall back asleep, he had a morning meeting that he absolutely couldn’t miss, but he couldn’t help but swing his legs out of bed. 

He padded down the hallway in his house slippers, their son’s nursery door propped open. The room was lit by a soft night light, illuminating the room in its rich golden glow. Adachi sat huddled in a rocking chair holding a tiny yellow and blue bundle. 

Hiro’s face was tucked into Adachi’s chest so all Kurosawa could make out was his small tuft of black hair. And Adachi, well Adachi was breathtaking as always, even in his drowsy, sleep deprived state. His eyes were shut as he continued to lightly hum some sort of lullaby that Kurosawa couldn’t quite make out, his arms shifting ever so slightly to rock Hiro, whose soft cries became small gurgles of interest.

Kurosawa never thought he’d have this.

How wrong he’d been.

The topic was first broached a few months after Kurosawa’s proposal.

“What do you think of kids?” Adachi asked one balmy April evening when they were curled up together on Kurosawa’s couch.

“What do I think of kids?” Kurosawa pulled back a bit to try to eye his boyfriend -- fiancé -- more clearly, unsure if Adachi was truly asking what he thought he was.

“Like, well, you know,” Adachi said, keeping his eyes downcast. “Do you want to… have kids one day?”

Kurosawa felt himself almost blackout for a moment.

“Kurosawa?”

“Sorry,” Kurosawa shook his head. He considered his words for a moment. He knew at this point Adachi wouldn’t run away from him anymore. He could tell him the truth. “I have. I’ve... thought about having kids with you.”

“Oh.” Adachi clearly hadn’t expected that answer, his cheeks darkening, a small smile playing low on his lips.

“How about you?” Kurosawa asked. “There must be a reason you’re bringing it up.”

“I mean, I-I’ve been thinking about it a bit now,” Adachi admitted. “Whenever I see a little kid in a restaurant or at the park. I wonder what it’d be like to maybe have kids one day. But the thing is, I never used to really think about it. like at all. Not until you.”

Not until you.

How could Adachi say things like that not expecting Kurosawa to have a full-on heart attack? Kurosawa literally felt his heart seizing in his chest, overcome with his love for this wonderful man before him. Truly all his waiting for Adachi had been worth it. Every single second. He wouldn’t undo a moment of it.

“You want to have a family with me?” Kurosawa asked, his voice cracking a smidge, unable to keep his emotions fully in check. Not now.

“We’re already a family,” Adachi said, brows furrowed in confusion. 

“...What?”

“We don’t need to have a kid to be a family,” Adachi said, a small, slightly bashful smile settling on his face. “I mean I already promised to spend the rest of my life with you, Yuichi. No matter if we have kids or not, you’re my family.”

God how Kurosawa would propose all over again if he could.

Then what exactly was stopping him?

“Marry me,” Kurosawa breathed out, bringing his hands up to frame Adachi’s face, his eyes jubilant and bright.

“Yes,” Adachi whispered, pressing his forehead against Kurosawa’s, his lips lightly skimming Kurosawa’s. “Yes, yes, yes.” The soft refrain continued to echo until Kurosawa finally closed the gap between their lips, dragging Adachi in deep.

“We could elope,” Kurosawa suggested between kisses, Adachi eagerly nodding before trying to pull Kurosawa back in, but at this point Kurosawa couldn’t stop his thoughts from pouring out of his mouth. “We could get married in Taiwan. Or if you want we could fly to Europe. Honeymoon in Italy or maybe--”

“Wanna practice for the honeymoon?” Adachi suggested, eyes alight, fingers flying up to the buttons on Kurosawa’s shirt, and well, from there things got a bit fuzzy--

“How long have you been staring at us?” Adachi murmured, eyes peeking open to eye at Kurosawa from the doorway, a small yawn escaping his lips.

“Just a few minutes,” Kurosawa whispered, not wanting to wake their son when he finally appeared to be drifting back to sleep. Kurosawa lightly treaded over, taking the bundle out of Adachi’s arms to press a warm kiss to the top of Hiro’s head. “My two favorite boys in one room.”

Adachi let out a small snort as Kurosawa grinned into Hiro’s hair. 

“I don’t think I can move,” Adachi groaned lightly as Kurosawa carefully placed Hiro back in his bassinet. “Maybe I’ll just sleep here for the rest of the night.”

“Want me to carry you to bed too?” Kurosawa half-joked.

“No, don’t want you to throw out your back,” Adachi said, shutting his eyes once more, head sagging to the side.

“Are you saying I’m getting old, Kiyoshi?”

Adachi’s eyes flew open. “What, no, I--”

Kurosawa couldn’t resist a challenge, lowering himself to scoop Adachi into his arms.

“Yuichi!” Adachi hissed. 

“Quiet, or you’ll wake our son,” Kurosawa whispered back, and Adachi promptly shut his mouth. 

Kurosawa grit his teeth slightly as he carried Adachi back to their room. It wasn’t often he carried Adachi like this, but he wasn’t about to give up half-way there.

“You better not actually hurt yourself,” Adachi said firmly, arms wrapped around Kurosawa’s neck.

“You underestimate my abilities,” Kurosawa huffed, hurrying his steps until he arrived back to their room, practically flinging Adachi on the bed, the momentum causing Kurosawa to fall down on top of Adachi.

“This is a familiar position,” Adachi mused, fingers raising to curl around Kurosawa’s shoulder, the metal of his wedding ring brushing against Kurosawa’s exposed skin. “Only this time I smell like baby spit up.”

“My favorite,” Kurosawa said dryly, as Adachi rolled his eyes, pushing Kurosawa lightly off of him. 

“Thank god I can sleep in now,” Adachi yawned, winding his arm around Kurosawa’s waist, bringing him in close as Kurosawa adjusted the blankets over them.

Many things had changed over the course of the past couple years. For one, they no longer lived in Tokyo. Neither of them had wanted to raise a child in the city. They didn’t move too far away though, close enough to visit their friends on the weekends with Hiro in tow in his little stroller. Close enough that Kurosawa still commuted into work.

However now Kurosawa only commuted in half the work week and worked the other half at home. And Adachi had left Tokoyawa a year ago. As much as Kurosawa missed seeing his husband at work, he knew it was for the best. Now Adachi could pursue his career as a mangaka. Two years ago Adachi finally managed to sell his first work, a little story called Cherry Magic, about two office workers finding love after one of them developed the startling ability to read minds. It’d done remarkably well, enough so that Adachi felt confident enough in finally quitting his full-time job to pursue his art.

It also meant he could be home with Hiro, though most days a sitter came over so Adachi could focus on his work. Some days Adachi’s mom even came over to watch Hiro for them. She’d been thrilled to finally have a grandchild, as were Kurosawa’s parents. While Kurosawa’s parents had initially been taken aback first in Kurosawa’s choice of partner apparently they hadn’t actually minded that Adachi was a man at all. Instead they were more concerned about whether or not they would be able to have children easily.

As luck would have it they were blessed with Hiro only a year after signing with the adoption agency. 

“Kiyoshi?” Kurosawa softly whispered as Adachi’s eyes drifted closed.

Adachi responded with a soft hum.

“Thank you for being my family.”

Adachi’s eyes cracked open, a breathtaking smile crossing his face. 

“Thank you for being mine.”

And Kurosawa wouldn’t have had it any other way.

As the brilliance of the portal died down around him, Renard opened his eyes to find himself standing on a rooftop. All of Paris stretched out before him. It was day again, and the sunshine was warm on his shoulders. When he looked to his left, he caught sight of that massive billboard with his own face plastered on it and knew that meant they were home again.

“We did it,” Lacorne said with a happy sigh, stretching her arms over her head. “Does it sound terrible to say that I never want to visit another alternate universe for as long as I live?”

Renard smiled. “Not at all. It was an interesting experience, but not one that I’m anxious to repeat.” The two universes had been both good and bad in their own ways. He wondered if there was a universe out there where everything was just good – or maybe even if there was one where everything was all bad…

“Are you okay?” Lacorne asked, stepping closer to him and putting a hand on his arm.

“I should be asking you that. Griffe seemed disappointed to see you go,” said Renard, glancing at her. Lacorne blushed slightly but shook her head.

“It’s just because he was a Black Cat,” she said.

“What?” Renard said, confused.

“I might have borrowed the Horse and Rabbit miraculouses, but I’m still a Ladybug at heart. I think that’s what Griffe probably needs,” Lacorne said. “Whether he recognizes it or not. They didn’t have the Ladybug miraculous active because it wasn’t useful enough, but that doesn’t mean the Black Cat doesn’t need their partner.”

It was pretty hard to argue with that logic. Renard had a difficult time imagining a scenario where the Ladybug miraculous wouldn’t be useful, given how vitally important it had been during the fight with Hawkmoth, but he supposed that anything was possible. He wondered if, in the future, Griffe and Chloé might change their minds about using the Ladybug miraculous after all.

“Besides, I meant that it was probably hard for you to see an alternate universe version of your parents,” Lacorne continued. Both of her miraculous beeped, and Renard looked at them automatically. She only had a couple of minutes left before she de-transformed, but she didn’t seem overly concerned. She was watching him worriedly.

Renard looked away. After a moment, he said softly, “I’ll be honest and say that it wasn’t easy. I couldn’t help wondering why Coccinelle and Tortue weren’t crazy like my parents are. But then… maybe my parents were normal at that age too. Maybe it was something that happened to them later to make them crazy. Something that might happen to Coccinelle and Tortue too.”

“Maybe,” Lacorne said, her voice carefully neutral, and Renard knew that meant she disagreed.

“I know. They could also both grow up to be perfectly normal people. Its an alternate universe, so anything is possible. I guess that just makes me wonder why I was unfortunate enough to get the crazy ones as parents.” Renard sighed and ran a hand through his hair.

“I wish I had an answer for you,” Lacorne said.

“It just feels like I got the short end of the stick, that’s all.” He scuffed his foot against the roof, thinking about Griffe again. What would it be like to have a sibling?

It would probably be pretty cool… for a little while anyway. Marinette had no siblings, but both Nino and Alya did and their relationships with their siblings was complicated to say the least. Alya often complained about her parents taking advantage of having a built-in baby-sitter. Nino was endlessly mad over how often his little brother came into his room without asking.

Actually it might be like having Félix around all the time. Renard shuddered at the thought.

Yeah, no thanks.

“Anyway, I’m glad that we went because I think it made our fight easier in the end. But at the same time, I’m not sorry we’re home,” he finished.

“Me too… though I have to admit, it was interesting to see Chloé as the guardian,” Lacorne said.

Renard glanced over at her. “Thinking of giving her a second chance?”

“Maybe. If she’d grow up a little.” Lacorne stared out over Paris for a moment before she added, “But we’ve all had to grow up, maybe a little too fast, and I started thinking that maybe it’s not all our faults if we’re not growing up the way we should be, all things considered.”
