born to immigrant parents in south texas diego never once counted himself as lucky . he's the eldest of four and a victim of parentification , it's not to say he didn't / doesn't love his siblings he just wished he got a little more than he did growing up . david strove to prove he was worth his weight in school always aiming for high grades and being hyper critical when he didn't reach his own standards .

B A C K G R O U N D 

Blake was born and raised in Newark, NJ. His parents were Timothy and Lisa Carter. They owned a small bagel shop called, “I Bagel To Differ” that was known among locals as the place you had to stop by. He grew up an only child and always wanted to be a big brother but had tons of cousins he played that role with. 

Around the age of 10, Blake started noticing his parents were growing more distant. His father was always gone and his mother was drinking herself away on the couch. The spark that was once there between the two parents faded. Eventually, Timothy never came home and he never contacted Lisa or even Blake, ever again.

Blake and his mom couldn’t afford their own housing so they moved in with his Aunt and many cousins. He finally achieved the “Big Brother” role, taking up responsibilities to help around the house; making breakfast and dinner, taking the kids to school, helping them with after school activities and homework. It didn’t take long for Blake to adjust to the new setting, he actually liked the change. He didn’t feel as lonely anymore, picked up new hobbies and a love for piano and theater.

Biography:

Edward was born into a wealthy family. His father was the owner of one of the biggest publishing empires in America, a role that had been handed down in the Fitzgerald family for generations.

His family was rich but Edward had always had a very different relationship with money than them. He never made any insanely large purchases, and never told people about his wealth.

Edward always had a very strained relationship with the other members of his immediate family, especially his father. His dad was extremely boastful about his wealth and careless with money. Something that never sat right with Eddy.

Edward always had a much closer bond with his Grandfather, who seemed to have a similar mindset to Eddy, and often told him about how much he regretted spoiling Edward's father as a child.

He spent many summers with his grandparents, choosing to visit them rather than go on lavish holidays with his family.

Edward and his grandfather bonded over their shared love of sailing, and the two would spend hours on his grandad's yacht.

A few months into his tour guide gid he met Chayce. Eddy had never been much of a relationship guy since he always struggle to trust people so easily, but Chayce was different. It started off as hook ups and developed into a relationship quite quickly. They dated for a few a year or two and everything was going great, until Eddy had to leave.

His grandfather had gotten sick so Eddy decided to go and take care of him, considering all that man had done for him. Him and Chayce tried to make it work long distance, but eventually Edward decided it was best to break things off.

It wasn't an easy decision for Edward and it did take it's toll, but he knew deep down it was the right choice to make.

After almost four years of caring for his grandfather he unfortunately passed away. Leaving almost his entire fortune exclusively to Edward.

Edward's family was not happy about this at all, especially his father but it was what Eddy's grandfather wanted and there was no way he'd disrespect his grandfather's wishes.

Eddy was practically shunned by his father not long after all of this, and though he had never had much of a relationship or a liking for the man, it did hurt a little how quickly his siblings and even his mother followed suit.

Skyler was born and raised in the Upper East Side of New York with both her parents and sister. Her Mom, a well known face around the world for retiring from the modeling world to style them, met a man traveling the globe as a musician. Liam was nowhere near as successful as his wife, but somehow two opposites managed to maintain a marriage and start a very creative family. The Cameron girls grew up surrounded by music and lavish parties, it wasn’t long until Skyler realized how much she loved to sing. Her sister and father would play instruments and she’d dance around the living room and sing for them, loving that this seemed to turn into a weekly tradition. She fell in love with being in the spotlight, though she quickly stuck to only singing in the shower once she saw how talented her sister was with music as a way to give each of them something to allow them to shine differently but together. Janessa was born in Cape May, NJ. Her parents had her when they were very young (early 20's, in college). While being raised by her parents, she also had the privilege of being raised by her grandparents, including the infamous James 'Duckie' Dixon.

Growing up in West Cape May meant being close enough to downtown but not having to be surrounded by all the busyness of it. She considered herself fortunate to live on a property that offered a great deal of abundance and it paid off in teaching her a multitude of life skills.

By the time she was 12, she was pruning crops with her grandmother, riding on the tractor with one of her uncles, milking cows with her parents and helping harvest crops with her grandfather, Duckie.

Janessa wasn't afraid to get her hands dirty or her clothes for that matter. She enjoyed learning all the ins and outs of planting and she was very detailed whenever her grandparents required "tiny little hands" to help with tasks.

This could only mean one thing - JJ was destined to be a surgeon. She had the steady hands, the bedside manner and the intelligence.

Her family reminded her constantly that she didn't have to work on the farm or continue on with the family business of the farmer's market. Not that Janessa would've minded. She saw it as important work. It brought the town together and provided healthy but affordable food options for the locals. When Janessa went off to college, it was hard to not be caught up in her studies but also in a boy, she was still young after all and had been dating the same boy since forever. She knew it was destined, even if breaks existed within their relationship.

Janessa and (WANTED CONNECTION) had decided to take a break when she went off to college. He didn't want to hold her back and she didn't want to stop him from living his life. She knew long distance could be hard. However, the two of them fell into their old habits - being consumed in one another. He would make the drive up to her, even in the middle of a storm, just because. She would stay up all night on the phone, explaining medical terms and not hanging up, even when he fell asleep because the sound of his breathing was comforting.

This love was one in a million and sure, during their pauses they had dated other people but they always fell back into each other so it was no surprise when they eventually got married. Janessa was in the last year of her undergrad but she'd be damned if she didn't make it work to marry that man.

She had applied to medical school with a focus on a surgical program at Rutgers. She would make the commute back to Cape May and ( WANTED CONNECTION ) would try and spend as much time as possible up in Newark. As she finished off her medical program, she decided to do the rest of her residency/fellowship at the Cape May Regional Hospital. One, to be closer to family but two, to be at home and really be in her marriage.

Within 7 years of marriage, they had only lived together for a handful of time and they finally got to be consumed in each other again. That passion and time together led to a pregnancy, a baby boy. While Janessa and (WANTED CONNECTION) were excited to have a baby, it definitely did put a slight halt on Nessa's career, having had to take a bit of a maternity break.

Two years later, they welcomed another child. With two kids under two and demanding careers, their hands were full and it caused them to at times pull away from each other.

The eventual constant pulling away resulted in Janessa feeling as though they were at two different stages and she filed for divorce. It broke her heart but she knew that she didn't want to stay in a marriage because of duty or obligation. They split custody of the kids and JJ carried on with her career and being as present of a parent as she could be.

Having the seniority that she does in the hospital has allowed her to take a bit of a step back and help out her grandfather at the farmer's market. She enjoys the connection and it really does help fit a bit of a void she feels.

Personality:

Janessa is very strong minded, she's not easy to take advantage of and speaks her mind when necessary.

Biography:

Sebastian grew up practically having to take care of himself from a young age. His parents both worked all the time to make enough money to put food on the table and clothes on Sebastian's back, and they never quite had enough for much else.

He hated having to go to school with thrift shop clothes that didn't quite fit and a lunch box that wasn't quite full.

He was bullied relentlessly for being poorer than the other kids but Seb's dad always taught him to stand up for himself, which he did, but this often lead to fights on the playground and Seb getting sent home from school.

By the time he was starting High School Seb decided he was done with getting teased and bullied for being poor so he started faking it.

He became a little more selective with what he wore and told people his clothes were 'vintage' and super rare, to hide the fact they were from the thrift store. He'd even shoplift a few pieces of clothing from the mall if he was really running low on threads.

When he got a little older it became a little hard to fake it. So he had to make some real money, and when his part time job at the local TJ Maxx wasn't quite hitting it, he started selling drugs on the side to make some extra cash.

He quickly found he wasn't very good at dealing though and it didn't help that he detested the smell of weed, so he needed a new plan.

The retail life wasn't for him just as much as dealing wasn't, so he had to really think of how he was going to finance this faux lifestyle he had created for himself.

He looked around, scrolled through the ads on craigslit for days, until he stumbled upon somebody looking for 'company' and willing to pay handsomeley for it.

Seb was nervous as shit at first, but after meeting the guy, who ended up being a lonely old tech ceo who just wanted someone to have dinner with him at a fancy restaraunt, he didn't find it all too bad and the pay out was pretty good.

He started finding more and more ads like this, some a little weird and outlandish than others, but some of them were pretty simple and Sebastian had never made so much money doing so little.

He quickly fell into the world of escorting and found he rather liked it. He never told a soul about how he made all his money, and always just came up with some lie about 'work'.

He'd even lie to people he met at bars and make up some bullshit about being born into money, and that his parents were mega rich, something that often helped him get laid.

Eventually Sebastian grew tired of his home town, he truly hated the cold, and was pretty sure he had gone through every rich asshole in the city willing to pay for his time, so he headed for the beach and landed in Cape May, a place known for it's hot sandy beaches and rich as hell residents, just the place for a guy like Seb looking to catch a tan and maybe increase his list of clientele.

Background: 

Aj was born into a very wealthy (which is still an understatement) family. His father Declan du Pont is one of the heirs to the du Pont dynasty and the current CEO of Tournay du Pont co. His mother is Cadieux CEO and famed fashion designer, Nadine du Pont-Moreau. He was born in Monaco during one of his parents' many trips there and partially raised in his father's hometown of Long Island, New York for the better part of his life when he wasn't off jet-setting to different parts of the world for any number of reasons.

He definitely grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth but has spent a great deal of time learning that he has privilege and he should listen before commenting on things he doesn’t understand.

AJ's rebellious streak growing up was not for the faint of heart. He spent a great deal of time flirting with and even sleeping with the wives (WANTED CONNECTION) of other rich men in their social circle, going to parties he had no business being at, doing drugs he shouldn't have been doing and streaking through Vegas (there's a tabloid story somewhere) all before he was even 21.

This rebellious 'phase' resulted in a short stint in rehab that his parents practically forced on him. He also had what he called an adult baby sitter assigned to him - even though it didn't stop him from going back to the same scene. A few more trips and he got the hint to get his shit together. While he's not fully sober, he's California Sober. He attends meetings if he feels he needs it and overall, hears his own body out.

AJ didn't take the traditional ivy league school option when he finished high school. He instead opted to go and see more of the world. He had all the money he needed at his disposal and what more could he learn in a classroom than in the actual world. He had travelled to parts of Africa, Asia, and South America in an effort to learn about different cultures and customs and then jetted off to North America, Australia and parts of Europe before finally settling back in France.

While he should've been cleaning up his act, the travelling, primarily the latter continents involved more partying and scandalous headlines that his parents didn't like - including a photo of their son passed out at the foot of the Cristo Redentor (Chris the Redeemer) Statue.

While it made Aj and his buddies laugh, his parents felt differently and told him he had responsibilities and he couldn't take over Tournay du Pont co & Cadieux if he was going to be reckless. They'd always told him it would inevitably be his to lead. He chose to enrol into a university and get his business degree like the good little rich boy they expected him to be - not without his fair share of frat parties of course.

The thing with AJ is he doesn't want to live up to the family name and live this boring stuffy life that keeps him so busy he can't live it. The double edged sword is that he's very good at it. He has a keen eye for both the fashion industry and the tech industry. He enjoys the work but he wonders if it's all he's worth. No one takes him seriously enough to do the job but they all expect him to do it regardless. 

He's feeling lost in trying to figure out his next steps and what he wants in life but he's also trying to distract himself from adulting by having meaningless hookups and avoiding forming connections because he feels he'll get too caught up in his 'birth right' jobs and not be able to commit to people the way they should be.

personality: 

Aj is very charming - whether that's something the money and confidence provides or just his natural essence, it is undeniable and can be quite frustrating at times.

He can be quick to anger when dealing with incompetence or certain levels of frustration but it's been a long while since someone has made him angry to a point that he expresses it.

He can be quite the nerd when in his natural element and thanks to the vast amounts of money afforded to him, he owns an expansive comic book collection.

He is very business savy and it shows from the types of investments he makes and the care he puts into those investments. There may be on reckless investment in the form of a race track at his home in Monaco.

Aj can be quite impulsive and either make a stupid mistake or say something stupid which tends to get him slapped or laid, sometimes both. See above about race track for impulsive decision making.

The one thing he chooses to keep to himself is that he is very generous. He takes a special interest in the foundations run by his family - his favourite elements of the 'businesses' he's inheriting. He actively attends the meetings and tries to make meaningful contributions which often get shut down because no one takes him serious but there are moments where his Uncle Pierre will support him.

He's got a decent relationship with both his parents despite their respective affairs and he has a good relationship with his sisters. It's ironic he's the black sheep despite being the only one who doesn't have issues with the others.

wife of someone in his social circle: this would be a woman that is significantly older than aj. she can be a friend of his parents' or a wife of a business partner of some sort but this could be an intricate plot

rival: someone aj doesn't get along with or has a poor history with. maybe aj slept with their mom or they are members of competing businesses (in any sector). Or maybe Aj was a douchebag when they crossed paths, he tends to have multiple personalities.

someone who's business he invests in: as stated above, aj has an expansive investment profile and this includes a few businesses. He's intelligent enough to know money doesn't last without having multiple streams of income in different sectors so this doesn't even have to be a topic aj would know about. It would be interesting to see where this plot could lead.

hookups: like i said, aj is trying to have some fun and distract himself and he's been doing that. this could Segway into other types of connections but putting it out there.
