De mentions this was the 7th week of shooting, which was most likely the shooting of Dagger of the Mind or Miri (depending on how he's counting) Which was August 1966.

John’s goal was perfect knowledge of natural philosophy. The logic seems reasonable. When you’ve read all you can, and you’re still in the dark, why not ask the angels? As for how he asked the angels, John was largely working from the Lesser Key of Solomon. His early conversations with the angels would have resembled seances, with mediums and crystal balls and smoky mirrors in which the angels would supposedly appear.
While the first proper angelic conversation would take place in 1581, things really kicked into high gear when Dee met a wandering alchemist and medium named Edward Kelley. (No relation.) The pair meshed like clockwork. From this point on, they would perform angelic conversations nearly daily, with Dee maintaining rigorous notes.
This pattern would continue for six years. It would see Dee and Kelley through several adventures across the continent and several failed attempts to procure more profitable patronage with a series of indifferent European rulers. This was routine, until that fateful day in April of 1587, when the infamous wife-swapping incident occurred.

There are, I'm sure, many fandom discords, depending on what you're interested in (if you reblog this and specify, I'm sure you'll get more help, either from me or others). I belong to one that's devoted to all things TOS/AOS Triumvirate, here: https://discord.gg/853UAhRTSq
There are all sorts of events. A couple of tumblrs that post events include @sponesevents and @mcspirkevents. I'm sure there are more and ones that are also gen; those are the only two I know of at the moment, and I would welcome other people's recommendations.
Threshold Day is January 29th and run by @captaincrusher. De Day (DeForest Kelley's birthday) is January 20th and I guess mostly fuelled by my own madness. There's First Contact Day on April 5, Captain Picard Day on June 16 and Star Trek Day on September 8th (technically September 6th if you're Canadian, lol).
Can other folks help this aspiring Trekkie out?

It is beautiful to be glad to see a person

The crowded Spring Broadway season has one more musical!
The Great Gatsby, starring Jeremy Jordan and Eva Noblezada, opens at the Broadway Theatre on April 25th with previews beginning March 29th.
The Great Gatsby features music and lyrics by Tony nominees Nathan Tysen and Jason Howland and a book by Kait Kerrigan. Marc Bruni directs.
This musical is NOT to be confused with Florence Welch, Thomas Bartlett, and Martyna Majok's Gatsby, which debuts at the A.R.T. in Harvard this year and is directed by Rachel Chavkin.

From TV Picture Life April 1968 "The Stories Star Trek Tried to Censor".
De's I posted separately, but here are Bill's and Leonard's.
A really weird set of articles. Did the magazine just say "tell us about something traumatizing?" and the actors said "I'm glad you asked, let me get this off my chest"? Also, why would Star Trek censor these stories?
Bill's article mentions he's dressed like a gangster ("the Star Trek crew had just discovered a new planet inhabited with Chicago gangland types"), so he was interviewed between 2-9 November 1967 when shooting "A Piece of the Action."
Another weird set of photos because in the 1967 September issue, the was an article called "How Leonard Nimoy Tried to Save William Shatner's Marriage" with an "inside source" (speculated to be Deforest) being quoted. I do not have this article, but it was mentioned in "These Are the Voyages Season 2". A lot can happen in a few months time, but all of this, coupled with De's article, seems a little tabloid-y.

As promised, now that we're a few days out from the final submissions deadline, here is a list of all the actors who have been submitted and will be in the bracket so far! If you submitted someone and they aren't on this list, there is a chance I felt they fell into that category of not really having a super strong connection to sci fi/fantasy generally and where the roles noted for them weren't necessarily roles that they're very well known for, or in a couple of cases there were people submitted where the work listed for them was all post 2000. But there were only a very small handful of actors like that; I think almost everyone submitted should be on here.
The final deadline for submissions will still be April 27th. I'll make another post before the polls start with the finalized list of actors for the tournament.
