Agents DiNozzo
[A/N #1 TLDR version: Got busy with an externship, got hospitalized for a cat bite, I missed u all v v much
A/N #2 for realsies: Would Tony and his wife be allowed to work together on a team? Probs not. Would Gibbs be crazy enough to voluntarily work with both of them? Even more probs not. But it makes my lil heart happy so here you go :)]
Pairing: Tony DiNozzo x wife!agent!reader
__________
There are two things in your career that satisfy you to no end: 1) Getting justice for the victims whose case files come across your desk and 2) Working with your husband every day. The latter presents complications, of course- the occasional conflict of interest, quibbles over theories following you home from the office, an added level of anxiety during contentious takedowns- but it also allows you the distinct privilege of spoiling and, arguably more importantly, embarrassing the hell out of one Anthony DiNozzo, Junior, on a daily basis.
Your head lifts on its own volition, guided by your nose tuning in to the sweet smell of hazelnut creamer and woodsy cologne permeating the air of the NCIS bullpen. Your partner, both in and out of the field, has evidently returned from a midday coffee run looking as delicious as the pastries you’ve spotted by the to-go cups on his desk. Checking to make sure your boss is still nestled securely in the Director’s office, you cross over into Tony’s space just as he lays his suit jacket across the back of his chair. Slipping your hands into the back pockets of his tight-fitting slacks, you can’t help but serenade him with the ten-second clip of brain rot that plagued your social media for a ridiculous number of weeks. “Can I get to the yams?” you whisper-sing through a giggle, pinching his favorite cheeks of yours, maintaining your grip even as you attempt to dodge the hand nearing the back of your head. “Sweet ya-am- ow!” Darting out of his reach, you drop into Tony’s seat with a pout, arms crossed petulantly. “You have hereby been demoted from Very Special Agent to just Special Agent for that.”
“You-” Tony sneaks a glance at McGee and Ziva who are trying- and failing- to hide their smiles before crouching to meet you at eye level and lowering his voice to carry on, “You are the reason we had to sit through that inappropriate conduct seminar for three hours last week.” He maintains an even tone, but you can see his lips twitching with amusement.
“I’m sorry everyone in this office is jealous I can touch your butt and they can’t,” you huff with an eye roll.
“Literally no one is jealous of you for that,” McGee calls from his desk across the aisle.
“Well, you guys are missing out,” you respond with an exaggerated sigh.
Shaking his head, Tony fixes you with as stern a look as he can muster. “Save it for later, Bee,” you intone in an imitation of your husband’s voice, “I know.”
“You would think,” he begins, offering you a hand to help you up and walking you back over to your desk by Ziva’s, “that you’d have moved past the infatuation stage at this point in our relationship.”
“And you would think you’d have stopped calling me ‘Probie’ by now, Anthony.”
“I have! ‘Bee’ is different than ‘Probie’. It’s a nickname and it’s cute.”
“Says who?” you challenge, eyes narrowed.
“Says the-”
“If you say ‘Senior Field Agent,’ I swear to God, Tony, you’re sleeping on the-”
“DiNozzos!” Gibbs’ gruff voice puts an immediate stop to your squabble as he descends the steps two at a time. “Ziva, McGee, all of you, front and center. Whaddya got? Besides too much time on your hands.”
“Coffee and a suspect,” you supply with a smile, turning on the plasma display as Tony presents Gibbs with a cardboard cup. “For once, Agent DiNozzo’s go-to theory seems to hold water.” Raising an eyebrow at your husband, you playfully mock, “It was the wife.”
Tim picks up the next leg of your shared insight. “Credit card history has the Lieutenant Commander’s wife meeting with our hit man at a hotel in Anacostia two weeks before the murder, Boss.”
“We also traced these calls from the burner found on our victim’s body,” Ziva indicates for Tim to highlight the outgoing calls on the phone logs before continuing, “…to his sister in law, Anna.”
The redhead’s photo pops up on the TV, and your husband lets out a low whistle that has your hand instantly connecting with the back of his head. “You are my light, my sunshine, and the very air I breathe, my dear,” he speaks through a grimace, trying to gauge your reaction through his peripheral vision.
“Go pick our hitman up,” Gibbs instructs, cutting off your bickering before it can begin by dangling the sedan’s keys on his index finger in front of you.
You snatch them up, sharing a catlike grin with Ziva. “My pleasure, Boss. I might be needing his services soon, anyway.”
“Uh uh,” your boss calls as the two of you start collecting your things. “Take Tony.”
Your husband flashes you a sheepish smile while you grumble at him over the lip of your coffee cup. “Let’s go, Dick-Nozzo.”
“It’s your last name, too,” he points out astutely, holding out his hand for the keys.
“Shut up. I’m driving.”
As the elevator begins its descent, Tony slips two fingers under your chin and turns your face towards him, concern muting the typical sparkle in his olive green eyes. “Are you really upset with me, babe?”
You count the seconds ticking away in your head, relishing in the way he squirms under your stern gaze, before relenting at second fourteen. “No, you big dummy,” you say with a nudge to his side. “She’s hot.”
Tony lifts your hand to his mouth and presses his lips against your wedding band before asserting, “You’re hotter.”
Curling your free hand around his tie, you tug him closer and land a sound kiss on his lips. The elevator dings to indicate you’ve reached the parking garage, and you reluctantly release your husband from your grip with a satisfied smile and a murmured, “I’ve taught you so well.”

Money, Money, Money (Sugar Daddy! Gibbs x Reader)
Late night, black coffee, handsome man, all alone. Third time this week, 5th week in a row you’ve seen him. You flirted often fishing for bigger tips, trying to pay bills you couldn’t even afford to have. You lived on your own. 18 years old, last 2 months of high school, and barely a plan and money to plan life with.
“See you’re here again!” You say happily topping him off.
“Hey! Rough week” he sighed, eyeing you gently.
“You work at… don’t tell me” you say trying to remember. “NCIS!” You exclaim.
“Good memory” he smiles. “How are you (y/n)?” He asks.
“Ah I’m alright. Just trying to get off work as soon as possible, you know” you shrug. “Later it gets the scarier it is outside.”
“Well, what time do you get off?” Gibbs asks.
“12” you sigh, looking towards the clock. Only 9:45. “Got about 2 hours left”
“Yeah, remember the goal kid.” Gibbs smiled. “Say, what college do you plan on attending? I remember you saying you were a senior and it’s almost the end of the year.”
“Oh, college.” You say quietly. “I can’t afford it, so I won’t be going. Maybe in the future” his phone began ringing. He clicked it silent before turning to you,
“Ah I see… well (y/n) have a good night. I’ve gotta get back to work” he stands.
“See ya around, Jet” you saluted him.
“Jet…” he said thoughtfully. “I like that!!”
Time skip~
The clock hit 12 and your shift was over. You walked out to see a familiar face leaning against a car. You smiled as he approached you.
“Hey Jet! What’re you still doin out?”
“Driving you home” he shakes his keys. “Scary out here” you can see a smirk.
“Coming from a guy who’s packing” you roll your eyes as you approach the car. You were gonna let yourself get a ride with a man who had a gun… a lot safer than walking an hour without a gun. That was how you justified getting into that car.
“Oh shut up” he opened the door and you got in.
When you arrived at your shitty apartment that you could barely afford you saw Gibbs eyes search the perimeter.
“I’ll walk you in… I don’t like the looks of that guy on the corner” he motions with his head.
“It’s really alright. Thank you for the ride!” You say opening your door. Jethro reached across and shut it before you could step out. Silently he got out and walked around the car. Opening it.
“Let’s go” he grinned sweetly. You caved and bring him up. His eyes fell on your small apartment. Clean, organized, your life could fit in a box. He made notes of things to buy you.
“Well since you’re up here” you say as you take off your coat. “Coffee? Tea? Might actually have a bottle of soda in the fridge…” you trail as you thought about it.
“Coffee’s great, yeah” he accepts. The two of you stayed up talking late into the night before he left. Your insecurity of what you could afford present in the back of your mind.
A few days later~
You woke up to a knock on your front door. You opened it to see a delivery guy at your door.
“Delivery for a…” he looked at his clipboard. “(Y/n)(l/n)”
“Yeah, yeah that’s me” you say. “What is this?” The man shrugged.
“A car? If you didn’t order it, not my problem. I can’t take it back.” He said as you signed the paper. He handed you the keys. “Beautiful car by the way” he walked away. You closed the door behind you, walking downstairs. Outside you eagerly clicked the key, looking around for the car, your eyes finally settling on the black dodge challenger sitting in a parking spot a few meters down.
“Oh my god” you say nearly in tears. You ran back upstairs and hurriedly got dressed for work, hoping to see Jethro there. And sure enough when you pulled up in your new car, there was Jethro, leaning on his car again.
“You fucking bastard” you run and hug him, you cry happily into his shoulder. He laughed as you did so.
“Wait wait, I get you a car and you call me Bastard!!!” He exclaimed. “I got something else for you…” he digs his hand into his pocket, another key coming out on his finger.
“Jethro…” you say looking at it as a bright green address tag danced in your eyes.
“Coffee first. Key later” you nodded as you lead him inside.
Time skip~
You ended your shift early to go with Jethro. You blindly tailed him into a nicer apartment complex in a better part of Quatico. Your heart began to flutter as you parked.
You walked into a nice apartment on the 3rd floor. Beautiful black granite kitchen tops, newly installed appliances.
“So…” he says. “What furniture were you thinking you wanted for your new apartment?” He says handing you magazines.
“Holy shit.” You whisper. “This is mine?” He nodded. “This place is mine?” You gasp.
“All paid off. So is the car. And so is your degree.”
“Degree?” You ask. “No you didn’t”
“Yes. I did” he smiled.
“Shut up” you tear up as he passes you a folder. The big words ‘WELCOME TO VIRGINIA TECH’ inscribed. “How did you-“
“Pulled some strings… I think your 1560 SAT score and perfect GPA helped a lot…” he said.
“Oh my god” you cry out jumping into his arms. “I will pay it all back” you say.
“Nope. No need. Just keep being a good girl and I will give you the world” he says.
“Thank you so much!!”
“Of course! You deserve it” he winked. “Now pick out some furniture. It’s your reward for getting into Virginia Tech” you kisses your cheek.

Song- 18 by One Direction
Pairing- Tony Dinozzo x afab!reader
Warning(s)- pregnancy, birth, light angst (i just word vomited)
Wordcount- 3,699
Summary- Childhood best friends reunite
“Thank you so much for showing me how to get here Agent Gibbs,” I thanked him as we walked into the elevator. “I know I’ll get lost getting here.”
“It’s no problem,” he smiled as he leaned against the railing. “I just know Abby’s excited to meet you even though it took weeks to convince her to hire a partner.”
“Well, I’m glad that she chose me,” I smiled as I cradled my bump.
The elevator doors opened and we walked out to see agents walking around or working at their desks. I followed Agent Gibbs to meet some of his team since I’m going to be working with them.
“Boss, we have that- Y/N?” Tony DiNozzo paused what he was going to say when we made eye contact.
“Tony, hi,” I smiled and went up to hug him. “It’s been a while.”
“It has,” he hugged me while adjusting his position since my bump was slightly in the way. “It’s good to see you. Also are you?”
“Yep, just hit five months,” I answered.
“Congrats,” he hugged me again. “I didn’t know you and-”
“Oh, we split after he found out,” I shoved my hands in my pockets.
“Oh, I’m so sorry,” he apologized.
“It’s fine,” I waved it off. “Anyways, I’m the new member of the forensics team. I’m going to be helping Abby.”
“That’s great, welcome to the team,” he welcomed me.
I thanked him and introduced myself to Ziva and Tim before heading down to meet Dr. Mallard, Jimmy, and Abby who immediately welcomed me with open arms.
*A Few Weeks Later*
“So, what’s going on with you and Tony?” Abby asked as she took a sample of blood.
“What do you mean?” I looked at her.
“I mean the two of you look like you had a past with each other,” she explained.
“Tony and I were childhood best friends,” I told her. “We were close before his mother passed and his father sent him off to boarding and military schools.”
“What changed?” She quizzed.
“I mean the only time we could hang out with each other was when he was back from school and when we went off to college, we kept in contact with each other from time to time,” I added.
“Did anything happen between the two of you?” She asked another question.
“Like romantically? No, nothing happened but I did have a crush on him but I was like seven.” I chuckled. “It was more like a puppy crush.”
“I feel I’m missing something here,” she raised her eyebrow.
“Well,” I rubbed my bump. “When we were eighteen we did share a moment which made me fall in love with him but we were leaving for college the next day so I just pushed those feelings aside.”
“Do you still love him?” Abby sat down next to me at our station.
“Honestly, I’m not even sure,” I chuckled and shook my head. “It’s been a while.”
She nodded her head and we continued working. We soon heard a knock and I looked over to see Tony leaning against the doorway with a bag of evidence in his hand.
“An evidence drop off for you two ladies,” he walked up to us.
“Thanks Tony,” Abby hugged him and went to go process it.
“Hey,” he greeted me.
“Hi,” I smiled.
“Are you free tonight I was wondering if you want to grab some dinner and catch up with each other since we’ve been busy these past weeks,” he suggested,
“Yeah, that sounds good,” I agreed.
“Great, I’ll pick you up at your place around seven?” He questioned.
“That sounds great, see you later,” I smiled and he walked out to head back to his desk.
Looking back at the code, I saw Abby smirking in the corner of my eye. I rolled my eyes and continued working.
Walking into my apartment when I finished work, I placed my things down and headed to my room to change out of my work clothes. Grabbing a navy blue polka-dotted dress out of my closet, I changed into that and retouched my makeup after that.
“Coming!” I said as I walked to my front door.
Looking through my peephole, I saw Tony standing there and I opened the door for him.
“Hey, you look great,” Tony greeted me with a kiss on the cheek before walking into my apartment.
“I feel and look like a whale,” I told him and held my shoes up. “A whale who can’t put her shoes on now. Help me, please.”
Tony let out a chuckle and I sat down on my couch as I handed him my shoes. He slid them on and helped me off the couch.
“Thank you,” I laughed.
“It’s no problem,” he smiled. “Ready to head out?”
I nodded my head and grabbed my things before heading out. We walked downstairs to his car and he helped me in before getting into his seat. Throughout the ride, we listened to the music that was on the radio which happened to be some of the songs we listened to as kids. He soon pulled up to an Italian restaurant that was in the area and he helped me out of the car. We walked into the restaurant and got seated after a few minutes of waiting.
I looked through the menu to see what I wanted to eat. I mean many options sound so good right now. I already settled on a pasta dish but the mozzarella sticks and garlic bread also sound good. Soon our waiter came back with our drinks and we ordered what we wanted.
“And we’ll also have the mozzarella sticks and garlic bread,” Tony added before our waiter nodded their head and left our table.
“You didn’t have to order those?” I told him.
“I know but I knew you were eyeing them,” he grinned and took a sip of his soda. “Also you’re eating for two. If my mom was still alive, she would have fed you continuously if we were back home.”
He let out a sigh and I saw the bittersweet look on his face. I gave him a small smile and went across the table to squeeze his hand.
“I miss her too,” I told him. “Your mom was one of the sweetest women ever. Clara always baked the best treats ever.”
“She did,” he nodded and chuckled. “She’s the cause of my sweet tooth. So, how are your parents? Are they excited for their grandchild to come?”
“Yeah they are,” I chuckled. “They’re pretty good and I swear they still want to murder him for leaving me while pregnant.”
“It was an asshole move,” he agreed. “Leaving you a few days after telling him you were pregnant.”
“You’re not wrong,” I nodded and ate a slice of garlic bread. “But hey, I’m starting a new life with a stable job and a support system here.”
“Cheers to that,” Tony held up his cup and we clinked it.
We took a sip out of our drinks and we continued to catch up with each other. Despite us not seeing each other for a few years, it felt like we could have the conversations we had before college. He told me all about his adventures working for the Baltimore PD before transferring to DC to work for NCIS. Halfway through our conversation, Tony excused himself saying that he needed to get something from his car. I continued to eat my alfredo waiting for him to come back with a bag in his hand.
“What’s this?” I questioned as he placed it in front of me.
“Just open it,” he told me.
Removing the tissue paper, I let out a laugh when I pulled the teddy bear wearing an Ohio State varsity jacket out of the bag along with some Ohio State baby onesies.
“Really?” I looked at him.
“Hey, the baby has to represent the best school in the nation,” he raised his hands in defense.
“I think UCLA begs to differ,” I joked and laughed at the reaction on his face.
After finishing our meals and arguing about who was paying, which Tony won, we decided to take a walk around the center where the restaurant was located. We might’ve gotten ice cream that was a few stores down from the restaurant. We did some window shopping and made a mental note of some of the things I saw that I probably will get for the baby. Soon Tony and I headed back to his car and started the drive back to my apartment.
“Thanks for tonight,” I thanked him as we walked to my front door.
“It’s no problem,” he smiled as I unlocked my door. “I had fun today.”
“Me- mph,” I let out a breath when I felt the baby kick.
“Is everything alright?” I saw the panicked look on Tony’s face.
“Yes, just the baby kicking me like they’re a soccer player,” I chucked. “Wouldn’t be surprised if they do become one. Many restless nights with this one kicking.”
“May I?” He pointed to my bump and I nodded my head.
He kneeled on the ground and started talking to my bump. “Hey kiddo, you gotta give your mom a rest. I’ve experienced her not getting enough sleep before and it’s not a pretty sight.”
I scoffed and jokingly smacked the back of his head.
“See? She just smacked me on the back of the head,” he chuckled. “Anyways, you be good for your mom and her sleep okay?”
He placed his hand on my bump which caused the baby to kick. He let out another chuckle and got back up from the floor.
“I’ll see you tomorrow,” he told me.
“I’ll see you tomorrow,” I smiled and placed a kiss on his cheek. “Thanks for tonight.”
“It’s no problem,” he did a two-finger salute before leaving for his car.
Closing my door, I headed to my room to get ready for bed while the smile on my face never left.
*Eight Months Pregnant*
“How do you think the guys are doing?” Ziva questioned as we ate our meal.
“Knowing that Jethro is there, he probably took over the project because those three can’t build things for their lives,” Ducky laughed.
“Hey, Tony did a decent job when building the changing table,” I chuckled. “It might’ve taken a few more hours than usual and a bunch of curing in English and Italian but he did the job.”
“How is it living with Tony anyways? “Abby asked.
Ever since I got closer to my due date, Tony suggested that he should stay over at my place just in case I got into labor. It took some convincing but I finally agreed after he made a presentation on why he should and yes, he did make a presentation. He’s been staying in the guest room that my apartment has and we’ve been commuting to work together.
“It’s been pretty nice,” I answered my co-worker’s question. “It’s nice to have someone to get my late-night cravings.”
Yeah ever since Tony moved in, he’s been helping me out around the apartment. He would go to my appointments if he had time and wasn’t at a crime scene. He’s been helping me pick out baby names and since we don’t know the gender yet, we have a pretty long list we need to shorten before this baby comes. He also went to a birthing class with me and I gotta say, I’ve never seen him so involved.
“And before you ask Abby, nothing romantic is happening between us,” I told her.
“Oh bullcrap,” Ziva said.
“I think you mean bullshit Ziva,” Ducky corrected her which caused the three of us to do a double take since it was rare for Ducky to curse. “That man is obviously in love with you Y/N. We all see it on his face when he sees you.”
“But didn’t you say that you were in love with him when you were eighteen?” Abby added.
“Yeah but I was eighteen leaving for college,” I told them. “We both changed as people the last time we saw each other. I got married and am now divorced with a child on the way who the dad doesn’t want. I’m more focused on loving myself and the baby. I’m not ready for a relationship yet.”
“Knowing Tony, he’s willing to wait,” Abby reassured me.
I gave them all a smile before we finished our lunch and headed back to my apartment. Ducky parked my car in the space and we headed up to my apartment to see how the guys were doing.
“Why are you guys standing like that?” I questioned the guys, minus Gibbs, as they stood in my living room.
“We have to show you something.” Tony grabbed my hand and led me to the nursery.
As we got closer, he covered my eyes with his hands while one of the guys opened the door.
“Alright, here is your nursery,” Tony said as he uncovered my eyes.
I let out a gasp and looked around the nursery. It’s everything that I imagined when designing this. The mix of greens, browns, and oranges was the perfect amount to fit the forest theme. My fingers grazed the crib that I know for sure that Gibbs made it. There was a bookshelf hung on the wall with a couple of books from my childhood and some new ones. There were also some plushies along with the bear that Tony got for them placed throughout the room. Letting out a sniffle, I dabbed my tears with my cardigan sleeve and let out a little chuckle.
“Hey, is everything okay?” I heard Tony ask.
“Yeah,” I chuckled and wiped more of my tears as I faced him. “It’s just my pregnancy emotions and I don’t know how to thank you guys. I mean all of you have taken care of me these past few months and Gibbs this crib is amazing. I feel I don’t deserve it.”
“Hey,” Tony wrapped me in a hug and placed a kiss on the top of my head. “You deserve it okay? We all love you.”
“I love all of you also,” I looked at the group. “Thank you.”
Abby smiled and wrapped me in a hug which everyone else soon joined. The group stayed for another thirty minutes before leaving. That just left Tony and me in my apartment heating leftovers for dinner. We sat down on the couch watching some random show while we ate our food.
“May I have this dance?” Tony asked as he finished washing the dishes and started playing Frank Sinatra.
I held his hand and we started to dance in my living room. I let out a laugh when he spun me out and spun me back in, causing me to place my hand on his chest and look up at him. Placing my hand on my cheek, I gently stroked it before placing my lips on his. He reciprocated as our lips started to move and his hands ran down the curves of my body. I soon realized what I was doing and immediately detached.
“I shouldn’t have done that,” I told him. “I’m going to bed. Feeling pretty tired. I’ll see you in the morning, Tony.”
“Y/N! Wait!” Tony called out but I just ended up in my room.
*A Few Weeks Later*
“Tony, I swear if you tell me that I’m doing good one more time!” I yelled as I pushed and laid back on my head.
“I won’t,” he chuckled nervously as he dabbed the sweat off my forehead.
I’ve been in labor for twenty hours after being a week overdue and this baby finally wants to come out.
“Two two more pushes and this baby is out,” my doctor told me.
“I’m so tired though,” I whined.
“Hey, you got this, you hear me,” Tony said as he ran his fingers through my hair. “The head is almost out, then the shoulder, then your baby will be out in the world. You got this.”
I nodded and squeezed his right hand as his other hand was holding my leg back. Going through the next two pushes, my baby was soon placed on my chest as their cries filled the room.
“It’s a girl,” I announced as she was getting cleaned.
“A girl,” Tony sniffed with tears in his eyes and placed a kiss on my forehead. “Welcome to the world little one.”
I looked at the admiring look that was shown on Tony’s face and he stroked her hair.
“I love you,” I told him.
“What?” He questioned.
“I love you,” I told him again. “Ever since I was eighteen and that kiss a few weeks ago. It just took me a while but I finally came to the realization.”
“I love you too.” He smiled and placed his lips on mine.
We shared a kiss until we had to break it since she had to be weighed and checked. After half an hour, she was brought back in my arms and Tony and I admired her as she opened her eyes.
“Yep, she’s her namesake,” I told him.
“I agree,” he kissed me again before his phone let out a ding. “Are you up for some visitors?”
“Sure,” I nodded my head.
Tony typed on his phone sending the room number and I gave Tony her so they could have a moment together. I sneakily took a picture of them before there was a knock on the door. The door opened showing Abby walking it with the gang behind her.
“Hi, how are you?” Abby asked as she hugged me.
“Alright,” I told her.
“How are you doing sweetie,” Gibbs placed a kiss on the top of my head.
“Alright and great that the baby is out of me,” I chuckled.
“So, what’s the gender?” Tim asked.
“Everyone,” Tony walked to my side. “Meet Clara Elizabeth L/N. Clara, meet all of your aunts and uncles and your grandpas.”
“Clara, after your mother?” Ziva asked.
“Yep, she was a key part of our lives,” I explained.
“So if you want to hold her, wash your hands,” Tony announced.
We let out a chuckle at the people who were waiting in line at the sink to wash their hands. Tony passed Clara to Abby and sat down next to me, placing a kiss on the back of my hand as we watched our little family get to meet the newest member.
*Two Years Later*
“Clara!” I called out when she let go of my hand as we walked out of the elevator.
“Daddy!” She leaped in Tony’s arms when she saw him.
“Hey sweet pea!” Tony started to attack our daughter with kisses. “How was your day with Mommy?”
“Fun,” she answered.
“That’s good,” he placed her down and greeted me with a kiss. “And a hello to you.”
“A hello to you also,” I grinned. “Are you sure she’s going to be fine here when we go out?”
“Yes, she has all of her aunts, uncles, and grandpas here to watch her. Vance also agreed to watch her if nobody can’t,” he reassured me. “Now come on, let’s go.”
“Why the urgency?” I chuckled and looked at Ziva and Tim who had Clara on his lap. “Alright, here’s fifty bucks for you to buy pizza or any other food. We’ll be back in a few hours.”
“Bye Mommy! Bye Daddy!” Clara waved at us.
“You be good for everyone okay?” Tony and I kissed her on the cheek and we headed out of the building.
We went to dinner at the Italian restaurant Tony took me when I first came here and enjoyed our meal. We talked about work a little bit before changing the subject to something else. When we wrapped up dinner, we walked around the town center until we ended up at a gazebo. As we walked into the gazebo, it was lit up by fairy lights and had photos of Tony and me hung on them.
Tears started to form when I realized what was happening. I looked over to see Tony down on one knee with his mother’s engagement ring popping out of the box.
“I first fell in love with you when we were eighteen, then I fell in love with you again when you walked into the NCIS building with your five-month bump,” Tony sniffled. “I want to fall in love with you every day of the year until we die. I know it’s short and simple but will you marry me?”
“Yes,” I nodded and kneeled to his level to kiss him.
He placed the ring on my finger and kissed me again. Getting up from the ground, we heard some people passing by offering their congratulations and we thanked them.
“I’m happy for you two.” Senior walked up to us and hugged us.
“Tony, the ring is so beautiful,” my mom told him.
“Thank you, it was my mom’s,” he explained.
We celebrated with our parents for a little bit before heading back to the NCIS headquarters where everyone else was waiting for us. We walked hand in hand still on our engagement high to see everyone waiting for us. I held my hand up which caused Ziva and Abby to squeal and hug the both of us. Gibbs gave Tony and me a side hug before passing Clara, who was about to fall asleep, to Tony.
“Hey Clara, Daddy and I are getting married,” I told her.
“Really?” She questioned as she tried to keep her eyes open.
“Yeah,” Tony confirmed.
“Yay,” she yawned, which caused all of us to laugh.
“Well, it’s way past her bedtime so we’ll see you tomorrow,” Tony announced.
They all said their congratulations and we left the building to my car. Tony placed her in her car seat before he got in the driver’s seat to drive us home. He grabbed my hand and kissed my ring finger which now had a ring on it.
“I love you.”
“I know.”

'Friends don't call you in the middle of the night, couldn't even tell you why, they just felt like saying hi. Friends don't stand around playing with their keys, finding reasons not to leave, trying to hide the chemistry. Drive a little too slow, take the long way home, get a little too close, we do, but friends don't.'
My Whole Heart
Summary: Ziva tells Abby about her feelings for Tony. Inspired by the scene between Tony and Abby in 13x34.
Here to Stay
Summary: Ziva has finally reunited with Tony and Tali in Paris. But anxiety is still her enemy. His, doubt. And now they're together – what does it mean? What does it mean for them to be a real couple? After everything they've been through together, can their love withstand the storm?

Set during 10x10, "You Better Watch Out".
Part canon, part AU.
From A to Z (oneshots)
Summary: NCIS contains four letters of the alphabet... but what about the rest?
From A to Z contains one-shots, drabbles, and short fics for every letter of the alphabet, centering around our favourite MCRT team.
May also feature occasional appearances from the special ops team in LA! Quite Tiva-centric, but also featuring other couples too! Canon and headcanon. Some canon divergence, AU, 'fix-it' fics.
Stakeouts, Secrets, and Other Simple Things (SSAOST)
Summary:
Rule 100: You don't keep secrets from the people you love, unless it's a matter of life or death.
One blood test.
One secret.
One family.
When a blood test reveals some life-changing news, will it bring people together, or will it threaten to destroy everything?

Firearm Training - Abby Sciuto x Gibbs'!Daughter Reader
Pairing: Abby Sciuto x Gibbs'!Daughter Reader
Includes: fluff, slight hurt/angst?, cute moments with Abby, Abby comforting you, soft Gibbs moment because he’s your dad
Warnings: guns, shooting guns (at paper targets)
Word Count: 2395 (I hope this finds people who also love Abby bc it’s so rare that I make it to 2000 words)
Brief Description: Your dad (Gibbs) wanted you to learn firearm safety and how to shoot a gun after several incidents of members of his team and/or their loved ones being targeted. You did fine for most of the lesson but did not handle live fire well. You had an emotional reaction to it but tried to push through until Abby came up to comfort you. Your dad took you and her to get milkshakes and cookies after to help you feel better.
~~~
Firearm training. You were here because your dad wanted you to learn firearm safety and how to shoot a gun. You weren’t fond of loud noises; you preferred bows and crossbows to a gun anyday. However, after several incidents of the team being targeted and even your girlfriend Abby being violently stalked by an ex, you could understand your dad wanting you to learn how to use a gun. Most of the team was there, save for Ducky and Palmer. It was you, Abby, Tony, Tim, Ziva, Director Shepard, and your dad for the day on a private outdoor range with one of your dad’s friends as the instructor. You used one of your dad’s pistols for the day, with “GIBBS”written on the side of the magazine. The guns were all on tables for now as for the first section of the day, your group was reviewed on the build and mechanisms of standard pistols and magazines.
Sitting in a circle with the team, you learned firearm safety: how to carry and handle a pistol safely; the build and parts of a basic pistol: how to take it apart, clean it, reassemble it; and its functions: how to load rounds into a magazine followed by how to load and unload a pistol without shooting it. You did a few rounds of safety checks and learned to never assume it’s unloaded. You practiced dry firing it and the instructor helped you with your hand positioning and grip; your stance was already solid from your previous years in martial arts. The dry fire shooting felt easy going and made you feel cool as you heard the click of shooting imaginary bullets at the target. Your dad and girlfriend both looked at you often with proud expressions on their faces as you quickly picked up each concept and were doing quite well in the course thus far.
It was 4 hours into the course and was finally time for lunch. After lunch it would be time to start shooting live rounds at paper targets. However, for now you all just gathered round and decided to go to a local diner for lunch. It was a 20 minute drive there, and despite there being 8 of you, you were all seated right away as the town you were in was remote enough for the diner to be sparse on patrons. You sat next to Abby, Director Shepard next to her, and the instructor at the end of your side of the table. Ziva was in front of you then, Tony, McGee, and your dad filling the other 3 seats on that side of the table respectively. You and Abby ordered fried chicken and waffles to share, your dad and Shepard got steaks, Ziva, Tony, and McGee got sandwiches, and the instructor got a burger. You all took your time to enjoy the meal in each others’ company, you occasionally leaning your head on Abby’s shoulder or her stealing a bite of the waffle you were nibbling on. After much enjoyment and frivolity, you all ended up returning to the range an hour and a half later for the second half of the course.
You got out of Abby’s car and walked over to the range, Shepard and the instructor already waiting on the course as they rode with your dad, and Tony was close on the way driving Ziva and McGee. You, Abby, your Dad, and director Shepard were already set up as you and Abby were borrowing a pair of your dad’s spare handguns that he stored in his car. Each of your respective guns and accessories were set on the tables, now accompanied by trays of live rounds. Tony’s, Ziva’s and McGee’s guns and gear were with them already, and they would have to set it up themselves upon arriving. The trio soon arrived, and as they got set up, the instructor had the rest of you start with putting on your noise canceling headphones and safety glasses. You glanced over at Abby, adored at how amazing she looked even in the firearm noise canceling headphones and glasses, the headphones set against her bow topped pigtails. The instructor then called for a safety check, followed by loading your magazines with a few live rounds. You were starting to feel a bit anxious as you’d never fired a live round before and the instructor warned you’d need a firm grip to counter the power of shooting live rounds. Before picking up the guns to load in the magazines, Abby leaned over and kissed your cheek— likely leaving a lipstick mark— and gave your hand a squeeze. “You’ll do fine,” she assured you with a gentle smile, clearly noticing your nerves start to kick in.
You lined up with the rest of your group, the instructor on your left to help with your lesson, and Abby on your right for moral support. The instructor led for everyone to begin. Each in your group aimed their guns forward  and the instructor made minor adjustments to your grip before telling you to place your finger on the trigger and fire when ready. Before you could do so, you heard the first few shots fired from the team and flinched, your eyes closing at the same time. You opened them and took a deep breath trying to brush it off and fixed your own aim. The instructor had held up her hand to signal everyone else to stop firing so as to let you focus. You aimed at the target, took a deep breath, and slowly pulled the trigger as instructed. On the outside you appeared calm, but it felt like winding a jack in the box until *BANG!* You jumped and your hands were shoved up as your body absorbed the inertia of the shot. You looked at your instructor and pasted a smile on your face as she told you that you’d done well. Tears started to form in the corners of your eyes but you fought them, slightly confused as to why they were forming as you didn’t feel particularly sad. You flashed your plastered smile at Abbs, and she smiled in return as she took a few shots herself. You still flinched at every loud bang, but you pushed it all down. It was fine, you were fine. You asked the instructor for some advice on how to avoid losing your grip again, “Uhh, how do I keep my hands from shooting up when the gun fires and keep my grip?”. The instructor moved you into position and put her hands over yours on the gun, “you gotta make sure there is no space between your hands and hold your (dominant) hand firmly with your (non-dominant) hand”. You nodded, giving an ok in response before the instructor took a break to use the restroom. Abbs had finished a few rounds and put her gun on the table before coming up to you from the side. She laid a hand on your back and left a gentle kiss on the back side of your neck, “I’ll be over at the tent babe, you’re doing great!”, she informed you before returning cheerfully to the tent set up for breaks and spectating. It was now you, Ziva, McGee, Tony, and Director Shepard on the range. Your dad was watching from the tent along with Abbs who had just sat in one of the chairs to spectate with him.
You prepared to take another shot and aimed at the target when Ziva came up beside you, “Fix your grip, there’s a gap between your hands again.” You did as she told you and thanked her before putting your finger on the trigger and slowly pulling it again. *BANG!* You jump again and silent tears form. You try to push through and keep your gaze forward so as to not let anyone onto the tears nearly falling down your face. You take a deep breath your heart racing, fixing your grip before pulling the trigger a third time, *BANG!* Silent tears start to fall down your cheeks, still baffling you as you don't feel sad or upset. A sniffle tips off Ziva who leans over to look at your face. She notices the tears and bluntly inquires, "What are the tears for? You're only shooting at a paper." You feel bad for not being able to stop it and feel pressured to suck it up, responding that you’re fine and start setting up for another shot. Abby heard from the chairs set up at the tent behind the shooting range and immediately made her way over, your father Gibbs behind her. Your calm steadiness starts to waver as your hands begin to shake. You breathe, put your finger on the trigger and take your 4th shot, losing your grip on the gun as your hands start to shake even more. You bring your (non-dominant hand) back onto the gun and aim at the target once more, hands and arms shaking profusely and tears streaming down your face, blurring your vision a bit.
Ziva is baffled at your emotional state, giving you a confused look as to why this is making you cry. You didn’t really understand why yourself, you just knew you couldn’t stop it or hold it back even though you didn’t necessarily feel upset. You hear another couple shots  from Tony and McGee and flinch again. By this time, Abby has finally made it to you and pressed her body against your back, wrapping one arm around you and grabbing the gun out of your hands with the other. You turn and melt into her, tears still falling down your face and she rubs her thumb against your back trying to calm you a bit, “Darling, it’s ok, you did so good. You don’t have to keep going.” Your dad makes it over and looks to Ziva who is still perplexed, “Stop staring and take the gun from Abby would ya?!” You bury yourself further into Abby as Ziva takes the gun out of Abby’s hand and places it on the table. Now with a free hand, Abby turns the volume all the way off on your headphones to reduce the loudness of the gunshots. You look up at her. “It helps a bit to have the volume all the way down” she tells you as she holds your face and wipes the tears away with her thumb. You bury your face into her neck and she wraps her other arm around you, holding you close and whispering affirmations and sweet nothings into your ear. Your dad puts a hand on your shoulder, standing behind Abby to talk to you, “Hey, you did good kid. You can stop if you want to. I just wanted you to know how to shoot if you ever need to. Now you can.” Abby walked you over to the tent and sat against a table, keeping you in her arms as you calmed down, rubbing circles on your back with her thumb. The rest of the team kept on shooting, your Dad taking your place in the lineup. Director Shepard came over and leaned against the table beside Abby, placing a hand on your back and reassuring you, “Hey, you’re ok.” She smiled, and you tried to smile back in return, still shaking a bit. “You can sit over here with us while they finish the course, no need to go back out.” After a few minutes, your breathing had finally evened out again, and Abby brought you around the table to the chairs while keeping you close to her. She sat down and guided you to sit in her lap as Director Shepard sat in the chair beside hers. You sat across her lap, legs over the side of the chair, and leaned into her. You kept your head on her shoulder as she put one around your waist and left the other one free. You still flinched at most of the shots the rest of the team took so Abby pulled out your book to distract you a bit. She held you in her arms and read your book with you until the shooting course was over.
Afterwards, the team packed up all their gear and put it into their respective cars, your dad packing up for you and Abby as both of you had borrowed his spare pistols for the course. Tony, Ziva, and McGee left first, bidding the rest of you farewell. Your dad came up to you and Abby, both of you still consumed in the book, and pulled it down to get both your attention, “Hey, how about we go to the diner for milkshakes before heading home?” You liked the idea. Shepard joined the three of you; she had felt like a mother to you and Abby. The instructor bid you all a farewell as she had her own car to return home with and still had to pack up the course for the night.
Around 20 minutes later, you had arrived at the diner and been seated in a 4 person booth, you and Abby on one side and Gibbs and Shepard on the other. Your dad ordered a chocolate malt shake, Shepard a Vanilla one, and Abby a Black and White (think chocolate and marshmallows). You still felt shaken so Abby, knowing your favorites, ordered your favorite milkshake as well as a double order of chocolate chip cookies for you and her to share. Once the waitress had gone to put in your orders, Abby pulled you close by the waist and the two of you sat nuzzled up together. You remained like this still when your orders arrived and as you enjoyed the sugary rewards of the day. After you were done, the sun was starting to set so your dad paid the bill and you all headed out: Shepard with Gibbs and you with Abbs. She had her hand either on your thigh or laced into your hand for half of the ride to your house where she was spending the night. Your dad cooked dinner that night for the four of you and Shepard headed home at around 9pm. You and Abby remained cuddled up for the rest of the night before finally falling asleep, wrapped together in each other's arms.
The leash is short, but that's for their protection. They are actually house trained.
Guess some background is needed as I never post about this fic. But Leon is from the team of Stan and Gibbs and he's actually ex-military (Special forces) Gibbs basically forced adopted him when he worked a case around Leon's team and knew Leon wanted out. So he gave him an out and he's been there ever since. Tony and Leon instantly clicked and became Gibbs biggest headaches but the people who he trusts the most.
Yes, they are gibbs boys and yes, he walks them like the dogs they are
Bradley hated the hospital.
It brought up too many bad memories. His car crash when he was in high school, visiting his mom when she had cancer, the many times he’s been in a flight accident, and seeing his godfather almost not make it from throat cancer. The hospital was not a good place for him, especially now.
“Where is my daughter?!” Maverick rushes up to the front desk of the hospital. He, Peyton, and Bradley drove in one car together as soon as they heard the news.
“Sir, calm down,” the receptionist said in a calm manner.
“I will not calm down! Where is she?!”
“Mav,” a voice spoke from the waiting room.
Peyton, Bradley, and Maverick turned to see Penny standing there, while Amelia was sitting in a chair, Carole and Goose sitting next to her. Maverick went straight to Penny as she latched onto him for a hug.
Peyton went to Amelia who was bawling her eyes out. She had CJ in her arms, since CJ was a certified therapy dog he was allowed to stay with them.
Bradley walked to his parents, who stood up and hugged their son. He was still shaking from the news.
“What’s the update, Pen?” Maverick sniffles, pulling back from the embrace.
“We don’t have anything yet, just that she’s in surgery.”
“Surgery?! What happened? What-” Peyton asks from his spot next to Amelia.
“Y-you didn’t see the n-news?” Amelia hiccups from her tears.
“What news?” Bradley turns to ask her. Amelia points at the TV and the pilots soon gaped at it.
The news headlines read “Suicide Bomber. One Dead; Few Injured. Bombing Closes NCIS Case.”
“R-rory was t-there when it happened,” Amelia whispers.
“She was out on the field?! I thought she was on desk duty!” Maverick exclaims.
“We brought her in for a case,” a firm voice spoke up, everyone in the room turning to see a group of people.
An older man with graying hair who had a stoic look on his face. Standing next to him was a man the same height as the older gentlemen with dark brown hair and a third man who was shorter and had lighter brown hair.
Trailing behind them were two women, one with darker hair tied back into a ponytail and the other dressed in a goth-like style, but looked like she was the one crying the most besides Amelia.
Bradley recognized them as Aurora’s old team in Washington.
“Agent Gibbs,” Maverick approaches them.
“Captain,” Gibbs responds as Maverick and Penny walk closer to the team.
“W-what happened?” Penny asks them, holding onto Maverick’s arm.
“Artemis went back into the field today for a case,” Gibbs tells them.
“Your daughter–” Tony starts, but his voice cracks.
“Saved a lot of people’s lives today, ma’am,” Ziva finished for him.
Penny gasps, while Maverick’s eyes fill with tears.
“She was the hostage negotiator. Once Artemis got the hostages released, she tried to get him to back down and prevent him from blowing the place up,” McGee explains. “But by the time we found out it was a suicide, it was too late. Luckily, Aurora ran out before the bomb detonated, but she didn’t make it to the barriers. She got hit by some shrapnel and lost a lot of blood.”
“We don’t know how bad it is yet. They’re still in surgery,” Gibbs informs.
The family pales at the information they had gotten.
Gibbs continues. “She offered to be the hostage negotiator. And with previous experience, I knew not to argue with her, especially since she was the best person to get all of those hostages out. Your daughter saved lots of lives today, you should be proud of her.”
Penny sniffles as she hugs Maverick, scared about Aurora’s condition. Bradley stood stunned at what he had just heard.
He knew Aurora was a good NCIS agent, but hearing the actions she pulled today…what else had she done without them knowing, all the sacrifices she had made, why didn’t she tell them?
Gibbs’ phone rings, breaking the conversation with Aurora’s parents.
“This is the director of NCIS,” he explains to them. They nod as he turns to walk into a secluded spot to talk on the phone. The rest of the team introduce themselves to everyone in the waiting room, besides Maverick, as he had already met them.
Later, Maverick had gotten on a phone call with Iceman to let him know the situation at hand. Bradley, Peyton, McGee, and Tony talk to each other in order to pass the time. Carole, Goose, and Penny are in a separate corner, Carole reassuring Penny that Aurora would be okay.
Amelia had her head buried in CJ’s fur, not wanting to talk to anyone, especially since Aurora’s team had walked in. She kept her head down until she was approached by the two women on the team. She lifted her head up to get a good look at them.
“Hi Amelia, my name is–”
“Ziva David, right? And you’re Abby Scuito,” Amelia sniffles through her tears.
“Yeah, that’s right,” Abby sits next to her, as Ziva crouches in front of her.
“Rory talks about you two a lot,” Amelia replies as she continues to pet CJ.
“She talks about you too, Amelia,” Abby croaks out before giving Amelia a small smile. “Aurora always said that you were the best little sister and skater that she knew.”
Amelia continues to pet CJ in silence, scared that she would burst into tears again.
“Did you know, CJ was a gift the team got for her?” Ziva asks Amelia, hopefully drawing her out of her thoughts.
Amelia looks up into Ziva’s eyes with wonder. “Really?”
“Yeah, and did you know Abby was the one to train him before we gave him to Aurora?”
“I train a few emotional support dogs before they get their forever home. I train a few seeing eye puppies too. When I started training CJ, I knew right away that he would be a great fit for Aurora,” Abby explained to her.
“Did she ever tell you why she named him CJ?” Amelia tearfully chuckled, as she wiped her tears with her sweater sleeve.
They both shook their heads before Amelia whispered to both of them. After hearing this, they all started chuckling, turning the heads of the people in the waiting room.
“I’m glad they’re cheering Amelia up,” Peyton sighs.
“I still can’t believe this is happening,” Bradley turns to look at the doors leading to the surgery room, hoping that there would be an update soon. He was patient with a lot of things, but this was the one time he couldn’t wait. Not when it came to her.
“Rory is strong. She’ll be okay,” McGee reassures Peyton.
“I’m her older brother. I should have done something. I should have been protecting her. I could hav–.”
“There’s nothing you could have done, Peyton,” Tony stops his ramblings. “Artemis already had made up her mind and nothing could have stopped her.”
“How did she get that nickname?” Bradley interrupts Tony, wanting to get his mind off of the situation. “Artemis? I mean Peyton got Apollo because he set a tool box on fire during a training exercise we were doing.”
“Dude, it was an accidental fire, I don’t even know how it started,” Peyton defends himself.
“There was a case,” Tony ignores Peyton’s defense. “One of her first cases as a little probie. We were trying to figure out the killer’s weapon of choice, which led to us believing it was an old throwing knife. Then Aurora kept going on about Greek mythology throwing knife uses, and how they were actually useful at the time. She wouldn’t stop rambling until she got her first Gibbs’ head slap.”
“Head slap?” Peyton looks at Tony confused.
“Yeah, you know? Like this,” then Tony proceeds to demonstrate the head slap on McGee, to which McGee retaliates and slaps him on the head back.
“Gibbs always says, ‘A slap to the face is humiliating. A slap to the back of the head is a wakeup call,” McGee explains.
“Does he do that all the time?” Bradley asks.
“It comes from a place of love,” Tony assures him.
“Also Artemis liked to play with and throw the knife she keeps on her a lot. And one time, Tony kept irritating her and she got tired of his ramblings and threw a knife at him,” McGee adds.
“Luckily, it didn’t hit me.”
“Sadly,” Ziva calls out from her seat, hearing the men talk.
Tony rolls his eyes.
“Let’s just say, Tony has been on the receiving end of the knife many times,” McGee chuckles.
This gets a chuckle out of Peyton and Bradley too at the story. Hearing some of the shenanigans Aurora got up to with her team made them feel a bit better, but the waiting went on, sinking them both back into worry.
A few hours had passed, Amelia was taking a nap in the chair, CJ sleeping on her lap. Ziva and Tony had gone to get food and drinks for everyone. Abby was sitting next to McGee, both had fallen asleep on each other.
Gibbs was outside taking more phone calls, as he was in and out getting calls from Director Vance and Ducky, who were worried about Aurora and making sure the case was closed.
Bradley and Peyton had passed out as well on the uncomfortable waiting room chairs, as they were exhausted from the emotional events that had occurred the past few hours.
Penny and Carole were still talking, as Maverick and Goose had gone out to take a breath of fresh air, when a doctor soon walked in, file in hand.
“Are you all here for Agent Aurora Benjamin-Mitchell?”
Penny stood up fast, everyone else snapping out from their conversations or sleep.
“I’m her mother,” she tells the doctor.
“The surgery went well, and we were able to take out the shrapnel.”
Penny puts a hand over to her mouth as she gasps at the good news. Maverick, Goose, and Gibbs walk back just in time to hear this.
“Is she awake? What is it?” Maverick panics.
“You're the father, I presume?” The doctor asks, to which Maverick nods as he takes his place beside Penny, while Goose stands next to his son.
“Although the surgery went well, she needs rest. We had to medically induce her into a coma. We can’t predict what her recovery will look like until she comes out of it. These next few hours will be vital. We’ll continue to monitor her and run a few more tests.”
Everyone stays quiet as he tells them they can visit her, but it would have to be two people at a time, so as to not overcrowd the ICU and her room.
They all agree that Maverick and Penny should be the first to see her and as the two leave being escorted by a nurse, the doctor fills the rest of them in on the update.
“Right now is a critical time since we’ll be monitoring her and hoping she comes out of her coma soon. Some of her wounds did reopen old scars. Since some of those older scars were deeper, it was a bit harder to find some of the shrapnel, but we got them all out, we just need to wait for her to wake up to assess her situation.”
“Wait, hold on,” Bradley interrupts the doctor. “What do you mean by old scars?”
The doctor hesitates before reopening the file in his hands.
“She has old scars from an incident from one, almost two years ago. There were multiple scars on her arms, back, and collarbone area, missing the vital organs, but enough to cause maximum pain. She had bruises and electric burns on crucial parts of her body. PTSD and panic attacks were also in her medical file, but she was getting treatment for it.”
Bradley, Peyton, and Amelia pale at hearing that.
“W-what incident?” Amelia speaks up.
The doctor opens his mouth to speak, but Gibbs interrupts him.
“I’ve got this, doctor.”
The doctor nods.
“Once the mother and father come back, another pair can go on until at least everyone has seen her. You all should go home and get some rest afterwards.”
The doctor soon leaves them to check on Aurora once again.
Gibbs turns to the awaiting eyes of Aurora's sibling and best friend.
“Aurora didn’t want to tell you all yet–”
“Tell us what?” Peyton impatiently interrupts. McGee and Abby stood next to Gibbs, prepared to help him out in telling the story. Carole goes to Peyton trying to calm him down, and sits him next to Amelia while Goose takes the seat by Bradley, knowing how his son would react.
“About a year ago, we had a case. We were close to catching the suspect but before we could, he decided to get ahead and give himself insurance. He kidnapped Aurora.”
Bradley couldn't breathe. Amelia gasps, as Peyton starts to tear up.
McGee speaks up from his spot. “We…we tried our best to find him quickly. But–”
“How bad?” Bradley croaks, his throat sore from the events of the day.
McGee became uncomfortable telling them, so he looked to Gibbs.
“He inflicted the fullest amount of pain that he could to her in the time she was there. Targeting areas that would bleed her out but not kill her, electrocuting her with a cattle prod to the point where she has electric burn scars,” Gibbs tells them.
Amelia immediately sobs while Peyton grips Amelia into a tight hug, tears running down his face, crying for their sister’s pain. Carole holds Amelia’s hand, her heart breaking for all of them. Goose had his hands on his son’s shoulder, who was still frozen from what he had heard.
“It took us 17 hours to find her. By the time we found her, she was covered in her own blood and fainted as soon as we got her to safety. She woke up a few days later, but stayed in the hospital for 2 weeks.”
The room stays silent, apart from the cries of Amelia and Peyton.
“Is the bastard dead?”
Gibbs turned to see Bradley who was trying his hardest not to break down. He was not only upset, he was furious. Furious that he couldn’t protect her, mad at himself for not checking up on her sooner.
Gibbs nods. He and Ziva were the first ones to find her, and each took multiple shots at the man.
“I know it’s a lot to take in right now.”
“Why didn’t she tell us?” Amelia whimpers.
“She didn’t want to say anything because she was worried about what you would say.”
Peyton sighs. “She’s the one that got hurt and she worried about us.”
“Is that the reason she came back here?” Amelia asks Gibbs.
“She came back because she wanted to come home. Her panic attacks got a lot worse being in the field. She was going to therapy, but we all knew that her being home would make her feel better, surrounded by her family.”
Amelia nods before starting to cry again.
Bradley started becoming claustrophobic. He stood and rushed out of the room. It was too much for him.
—
This can’t be happening. Less than 24 hours ago, he was holding her in his arms, now he may never be able to hold her again. She had suffered so much, and yet didn’t say anything. He should have known. He had so many things to still say to her, things he wanted to experience with her. But now he may never get the chance.
Finding a bench outside, Bradley sat down and buried his face into his hands. Tears started to run down his face as the emotions of the day began to hit him hard.
Not long after he had sat down, the bench creaks from another weight sitting next to him. Bradley wipes his tears and takes his hands away from his face to see who had followed him out.
“Aurora talked about you a lot,” Gibbs breaks the silence. Bradley remained quiet, listening to what he had to say.
“She kept your bracelet in her desk, she was so scared to lose it out in the field. The first picture she put up when the team found out about her family was a photo of you and her brother. She kept all the postcards you sent her, and would always ask me what were good things to send for your care package,” Gibbs chuckles.
“I knew she was a good agent, but I never knew all the dangers she had to face until now. I mean, she was suffering through so much and I just…I mean, I should have known,” Bradley whispers.
“You couldn’t have known.”
“I DID!” Bradley cried out. “I ignored all the signs because she told me she would come to me when she was ready. But this?! We promised we wouldn’t keep secrets from each other. This is why! How many times have I almost lost her?! How many times has she cried and I wasn’t there to protect her, to be there for her?! I-I can’t lose her, Gibbs.”
“You’re not going to lose her.”
“How do you know that?! You may not have known Aurora for long, but I’ve known her most of my life! How do you know that she’ll be fine?!”
“Because she’s Aurora,” Gibbs states. “If there was one thing that Aurora stood by, it’s that we protect those we love. She kept this from you because she loves you and her family. She works and fights every day, just like you do to protect our country. She has the Benjamin-Mitchell blood in her. She’s a fighter,” he assures, placing a hand on Bradley’s shoulder.
Bradley sniffles and chuckles.
“She and Peyton say that all the time. The whole ‘Benjamin-Mitchell blood’ thing.”
Gibbs chuckles and retracts his hand. “She would whisper it to herself every time a case got rough. Guess I’ve heard it from her way too often.”
Bradley sighs before looking up at the sky.
“I can’t lose her, Gibbs. She’s my everything. I think about her every hour, every minute and every second I breathe. She makes me the best version of myself. She is the star I look up at in the night sky every time and know she’s always there.. Aurora is my home.”
Gibbs stills at hearing that phrase. Every hour, every minute, every second I breathe.
Aurora would always whisper that when she held a photo of Bradley and Peyton in her hands, doing the same when she held her bracelet in her hands as well. She told Gibbs it was a phrase that brought her comfort when things got low.
That no matter where her best friend and brother were in the world, she would always be thinking of them. It was a bond that no one could break.
“Aurora went through so much, but every time she came out even stronger. This time is no exception. She’ll be surrounded by family and people who love and care about her,” Gibbs comforts him.
The two sit in silence together for a moment before Bradley turns to the man next to him.
“She always talked highly of you. Said you were the reason she is the agent she is today.”
Gibbs shook his head. “She became a great agent all on her own. We work hard because you work hard. Each and every one of you who serve. Aurora became an agent to help protect those who serve when they come home. NCIS gave her that opportunity. You should be very proud of her.”
Bradley smiles at this. He was proud of her, even if he didn’t tell her often, he was proud of who she had grown to be. Even after all she’d gone through, she survived and she was still alive. That’s all Bradley could be thankful for.
Peyton went to take a walk inside the hospital with Goose, while Ziva and Tony arrived back to drop off the stuff they had bought. McGee and Abby had filled Ziva and Tony in on what had happened while they were gone.
Ziva goes to sit next to Amelia, who had just calmed down from crying, but still clinging onto CJ like a lifeline.
“Were you there? When Aurora was rescued?” Amelia asked her as soon as she sat down next to her.
“I was.”
Amelia nodded at this and stayed silent.
“Your sister…,” Ziva started with a slight pause before continuing. “She fought her way through so much. She fought to come back home for you and your family. She told me that the reason she came back was that she was finally ready to let go of what had happened and come back to spend a life at home with her family.”
“I just…I wish I had known. All the sacrifices she made and all she had gone through. I used to be so mad when I never heard from her. When she came back, I was so happy to have my sister back. But, hearing that…I can’t believe I was ever mad at her.”
“It’s okay to feel all of those things, Amelia.” Ziva states, comforting her. “She always regretted not talking to you when she could. But this job takes a lot out of us. We’ve lost so much and sometimes when we go in a dark place, some don’t come back out. She didn’t want you to see her like that.”
Ziva lifts a necklace from under her shirt and shows Amelia. It was a necklace with a gold Star of David pendant.
“This was my little sister’s. Her name…was Tali.”
“That’s a beautiful name.”
“It is…Tali was my little sister and, where I come from, there’s so much hate and violence. When Tali was 16, she was killed in a Hamas suicide bombing.”
Amelia looks into Ziva’s eyes, seeing the hurt.
“It tore our family apart, and we were never the same since. I was a Mossad officer, and came here to be a liaison officer between Mossad and NCIS. But long story short, I left Mossad and became an official NCIS agent. And then, your sister came into our lives.”
Ziva smiles remembering the first time she met Aurora.
“She was so nervous at first, but soon, she became part of our team, our little family. She is stubborn, but she’s loyal and she cares so much about everyone. She became a little sister to me. And I wouldn’t change anything. Because it has led me to where I belong.”
Amelia smiles. “She is stubborn. She gets it from mom and Mav.”
They both chuckle before Ziva smiles at her. “She will be alright. I know she will be okay.”
Amelia sighs and continues to pet CJ. “Thank you, Ziva, for telling me your story, For everything. At least I knew she had someone even when we couldn’t be there for her.”
Ziva ruffles her head, lovingly, just like how she would do it to Aurora. Abby comes up to give Amelia some snacks and water, and sits besides them. The three girls make small talk together as they wait their turn to see Aurora.
“Uncle Goose, I’m fine, just please leave me alone.”
Peyton and Goose were standing in a secluded hallway.
“Kid, you just heard about what happened to your sister. I am not leaving you.”
“I’m fine!”
“Pey-”
“I mean, as fine as a brother could be from hearing that his twin sister was tortured and hospitalized before! Not to mention that she might not even make it tonig–”
“Now you stop that. Your sister is going to be fine.”
“Is she, Goose?! I mean you heard the doctor! She might not even wake up, and what’s to say her state of mind after!”
Goose lets him rant while Peyton paces.
“I mean, why didn’t she say anything?! You all knew, but she couldn’t even tell us! She could have died! She could have died and would we even have known?! Why her, Goose?! Why didn’t she say anything?! Sh…I…” Peyton puts his back against the wall and slides down it. He puts his arms around his knees and sobs.
Goose goes to sit next to him, letting him cry his emotions out.
A few minutes later, his crying subsidies, and all that was left were sniffles.
“You know, you’re taking this a lot better than your old man.”
Peyton laughs tearfully as he wipes his face with his hands.
“That bad, huh?”
“I mean, you know your dad. He may be strong and reckless, but when it comes to you and your sisters, even Amelia, you are his whole world. He blames himself for what happened.”
Peyton scoffs. “It’s not like he could have seen the future, he couldn’t have known.”
“Exactly Peyton, which is why you need to also not blame yourself. Your dad, as protective as he may be, understands why Aurora did what she did. Working for NCIS and not saying anything. Because she wanted to protect you. You and your dad have spent your whole lives worrying about her. She didn’t want you to worry about this.”
Peyton took in the words Goose had said to him. He just didn’t want his sister to hurt anymore, he wished he had told her, but he understood why. He was proud of her, that even with all that she went through, she can still smile and laugh today. And hopefully after all of this, she wouldn’t get hurt anymore.
“You doing alright in there kiddo?” Goose knocks on Peyton’s head as if he was knocking on a door after a few minutes of silence had passed. Peyton laughs.
“Yeah, I’ll be fine. She’ll be okay,” Peyton affirms not only to the universe, but to himself.
After Penny and Maverick came back from seeing Aurora, everyone went in pairs, Peyton and Amelia, then Goose and Carole. They were shortly followed up by Aurora's team in pairs of their own, Ziva aside, stating she didn't want anyone to see her cry and therefore went in alone.
After Ziva, Iceman and Sarah dropped by to see her. The only one who had yet to see her still, was Bradley.
“Take your time, B,” Peyton tells Bradley when it eventually came to his turn visiting her.
The sight alone of seeing Aurora laying in that bed, all wrapped up in bandages was nearly enough to break Bradley down right then.
It was a reminder to him that he couldn’t protect her, and that this time, he failed to be her knight in shining armor.
Taking the seat beside her, he watched the rise and fall of Aurora’s chest. Whether or not it was by the machine’s support, at least he knew she was breathing.
“Hey, princess.”
He knew he wasn’t going to get a response, but talking to her always made him feel better.
“The doctors don’t know if you’re able to hear what we say to you, but I don’t care if you hear me or not.”
Bradley hesitates before continuing to speak.
“Your team is pretty cool. Gibbs is really intimidating, like you’ve told me before, but seeing him in person, I see what you mean,” he chuckles.
“They told me about…about what happened, your scars, the panic attacks. Princess, I don’t know why you had to hide it all from us. I wish you told us, but I get you weren’t ready to say anything yet. Just know that when you wake up, I will spend every day making sure you’re alright, and the days that you aren’t, I want to be there for you. I will make up for all the time we lost.”
Bradley reaches for her hand and clutches it in both of his. “Gibbs said that the director of NCIS will be awarding you an award. But I know you don’t care about a stupid award. You did it to save those people. We’re so proud of you, princess. I’m so proud of you.”
The beeping of the machine fills with silence.
“So you keep on fighting, princess. Because, I don’t know how to do anything without you. Because I think of you every hour, every minute, and every second I breathe. Because, I love you Aurora, and I want us to finally have a life together, to finally be together. And I hate that time never gave us that chance, but if you just hold on a little longer, I promise I will spend every day fighting for you, for us.”
Bradley kisses her hand as the tears run down his face. It soon was quiet, except for the beeping of the machine. All Bradley could do was watch her lay there, and that is all that mattered to him in that moment.
Because that was the sound of her still breathing; alive and fighting.
Black & Gold
A/N: I just love the idea of our goofy, giddy boy being with a no-nonsense lawyer type who’s so soft for Tony and Tony only 🥹 Like, “she calls him Bear because his mother’s maiden name was Paddington” type soft…but she also likes to dominate him, u feel me? (Sorry if this sucks, the idea came to me and I banged it out in like a half hour)
You rolled your eyes with a huff as you stepped out of the elevator into the NCIS bullpen, tucking your phone between your ear and shoulder as you dug around in your purse for your beloved Burt’s Bees- mango flavor, Tony’s favorite. “Absolutely not,” you growled, the frown on your face melting away when you caught sight of your boyfriend at his desk. Tony looked up and met your smile with one of his own, shaking his head when your features hardened again and saying a silent prayer for the idiot on the phone daring enough to challenge the likes of you.
“Tell your client he should’ve thought of that before laying a finger on mine, Gareth,” you snarled. “I’ll see you in hell. Or court. Wherever you end up first.”
You paused, eyebrow steadily rising as you listened to the opposing lawyer’s response. “Oh, I promise you’ll be able to spot me. I’ll be the one serving up your head on a silver platter!” Pressing the red button on the screen, you dropped your phone into your purse with a sigh. “That used to be a lot more satisfying when they snapped shut.”
“Borrow mine next time,” a voice called from the desk catty-corner to Tony’s, and you threw your boyfriend’s boss a charming smile.
“Y’know, Jethro, I might just take you up on that.” Turning your attention back to the handsome devil before you, you ran your perfectly manicured nails along his jaw and offered a simple, “Hi, Bear.”
Tony nearly purred, catching himself at the last second and narrowly escaping being the butt of his colleagues’ jokes. “Hi, beautiful. Was that about the Harvey case?”
You shook your head in disappointment, dropping your visitor’s badge on his desk before leaning against the back of his chair. “Don’t even get me started. How was your day, everyone?”
“Interesting, to say the least,” Ziva smirked, and you raised an eyebrow out of curiosity. “McGee kept us entertained with his… technical skills, shall we say.”
“Oh?” You turned your attention to Tim, noting the flush creeping along his cheeks and his inability to make eye contact with you. “Don’t be shy, Tim,” you teased, loving how the younger brunette seemed to always be flustered around you.
“Yeah, Peeping Tim, tell Y/N what you found.”
“Tony!” McGee’s head shot up to meet Tony’s challenge with a glare, the blush on his cheeks growing darker when you cocked your head at him.
“Well, Timothy?” You let your hands roam over Tony’s broad shoulders, squeezing every so often and relishing the firm muscle beneath your fingertips.
“Let me first say that I didn’t go looking for anything. Well, I did, but it’s because my coffee was gone from my desk and-”
“Spit it out, Elf Lord,” Gibbs called from his desk, sounding disinterested although he was no doubt enjoying McGee’s obvious discomfort. “You saw Y/N and DiNozzo playing grab-ass on his desk.”
“Oh, Tim,” you tutted playfully. “If you wanted to watch, you could’ve just asked.”
Ziva barked out a laugh and Gibbs met your gaze with an amused smirk, playfully berating you for instigating a breach of professionalism after hours when the telltale sound of Abby’s boots rounding the corner joined the mix.
“Is she here? Are you here? Oh, thank god, you’re here,” she squealed in delight, grabbing your hand and whisking you off to the lab. “Five minutes, Tony, I promise!”
Ziva waited until Abby had dragged you a safe distance away before turning to her colleague. “I still do not know how you managed to trick her into a relationship with you. She is just so cool and confident with her all black outfits and stilettos and you are… you.”
“I’ll have you know it was love at first sight,” Tony shot back smugly.
“Really?” McGee quipped. “Could’ve fooled us.”
The NCIS agent had strutted into your office with a practiced ease, credentials in one hand, the other poised to shake yours. “Anthony DiNozzo, NCIS. Call me Tony.”
“Y/N Y/LN,” you had returned in kind, placing your hand in his. You were immediately struck by his olive green eyes, twinkling with clear mischief although they held something deeper, more genuine behind the bravado.
“What a coincidence,” he had smiled, “that’s my wife’s name.”
The erratic fluttering of your heart had stopped abruptly, although your face remained unchanged, the art of hiding your emotions in the courtroom coming in handy. You had pulled your hand back from his grip, gaze subtly flicking toward his bare left hand. “You’re married?”
He had drawn his bottom lip between his teeth for a brief moment before smirking at you. “No, ma’am, not yet.”
“Would’ve sealed the deal that day itself, if not for her being a key witness in our case,” Tony sighed, crossing his hands behind his head as he replayed the moment like one of his favorite movies.
“Humble yourself, DiNozzo,” you cracked as you returned to the bullpen with Abby in tow. “You practically begged me to go out with you.”
“I did not, you were just playing hard to get.”
“Okay, buddy,” you snorted, meeting his gaze and puckering your lips in an air-kiss to soften the blow. Glancing down at your watch, you added, “We’ve gotta get going. You, me, and your ridiculously skinny tie have a date with a private chef at home. Goodnight, everyone,” you smiled at each member of Tony’s team as you passed by their desks on the way out.
Fiddling with the Italian silk around his neck, Tony laughed, speaking to no one in particular. “She actually loves them. You love my ties, right, honey?”
“Yeah!” you called over your shoulder without turning around, a playful smirk blooming across your face. “I love ‘em cause I can use them as a leash.” You pressed the call button for the elevator, then turned and whistled for Tony, trying not to break character by bursting out laughing. You wished you could see the stunned look on McGee’s face right now, but Ziva and Abby’s reenactment tomorrow would have to do.
“She’s just joking,” Tony waved his hand with an awkward chuckle, considering his options for exactly half a second before gathering up his things and running to join you, throwing out a hurried, “Night, guys!”
“I still do not understand their dynamic,” Ziva said after the two of you had exited, shaking her head with a soft smile.
“I think they’re what kids these days would call a ‘black cat and golden retriever’ couple,” McGee offered.
“That certainly fits,” Gibbs conceded. “Tony’s loyal, loving, and has a perpetually dumb, goofy grin on his face.” Mouthing at the tip of his reading glasses, he muttered, “Now, if only I could train him.”
McGee pulled out a bag of pretzels from the top drawer of his desk and shook it with a self-satisfied smile. “You just need some positive reinforcement, Boss.”
Soaked (Tony x Reader)
Idk wtf to call it but it popped into my head. I might write more on it later 🤷‍♀️.
Tony had an awful day at work. An awful gruesome death had crossed his eyes and the victim resembled you. He had been stressing since the afternoon, not being able to contact you due to his phone being out of order… stupid flip phone.
He worried about you. He knew you were at either college or working. Remembering that today you didn’t have to carry a double shift behind the bar at Stevie’s. He was grateful for that. The murder had scarred his mind. It then occurred to him how it could’ve been you. How anyone of these murders could’ve been you.
When Gibbs dismissed them, he sped home at felony speeds. Gotta get home to make sure (y/n)’s okay Was the only thing on his mind. As he hit 120 on the highway. His corvette weaving through the light 7 pm traffic.
You were safe at home, showering when you heard the door open. You knew Tony was home. Dinner was on the stove still warm, he usually waited till you could sit with him so you were expecting to find him sitting on the couch reading a magazine or searching for a movie in the TV.
You heard the bathroom door open.
“Hi baby how was -“ you were interrupted by Tony’s entire figure entered the shower, clothes and all. “Tony what the fuck?” You somewhat giggled as he embraced you tightly. You hugged him back. The water soaking his suit all the way down to the socks. You rubbed his back as he held you.
“Im so happy you’re alive” was all he said in that moment as you stood in the water. “I’m so happy”
“Of course, baby” you reply. “Of course”
You wondered what was going on. He was in the shower with you, which wasn’t the usual part, but he was still fully dressed. You decided that you weren’t going till press it. He would tell you when he could.
Time skip~
You were sitting at the table rambling on about your day and your classes, your college books laid out in front of you. Tony had been holding your hand from across the table, eating and listening to you, looking at you intently with love.
“Are you okay, T?” You asked. Smiling as you brushed a piece of hair behind your ear.
“I love listening to you talk” he said and smiled softly. “I love the way your eyes light up when you talk about your profession and day at work. I love listening to you ramble on and on about stuff that I have no idea how you manage to study and retain all of it. I love how driven you are and how dedicated to being a pharmacist you are.” Tony spoke, almost poetically.
“Anthony” you say. “What happened today?”
“I saw someone that looked like you in a way I’d never want to see you and it scared me. It reminded me that my job is really dark, no matter how much I love my job. I love you so much.” He replied solemnly. “I was scared today, (y/n)”
“Im right here, okay baby?” You hold his hand tightly. “It’s okay to be scared. It’s okay to worry, it’s okay and it’s going to be okay. I’m alive and here in front of you. In the flesh. You have a job that’s dark and scary, but you don’t ever have to worry about losing me, okay? I know “if it happens to anyone it can happen to you”, but here’s a secret” you say .
“Whats the secret?” He smirks gently.
“Im Anthony DiNozzos girlfriend you whisper in his ear. “Nothing can hurt me as long as Im with you” he smiles.
“Guess I gotta keep you forever” he kisses you.
“Yeah, forevaaass” you say dramatically before you kiss him back. You smiled at each other as you saw peace settle in his face. Relief falling in his eyes.
“I love you so much” he hugs you.
“I love you so much more than that”
