would love for my faceblindness to stop fucking me over

#I used to think I was bad at remembering names but? I'm really not actually #my problem is linking them to a physical appearance...#my brain just kinda tosses most faces in the same bin. I can remember other traits but they typically take a while to memorize #which sucks because at that point it would usually be weird for me to admit to the person that I don't know their name.#I'll just have to hunt down their instagram or whatever #it usually goes something like: I meet someone -> they tell me their name ->#i have not yet had the opportunity to observe their non-face traits and thus have nothing to anchor that name to -> annnd it's fucking gone #-> I learn to recognize them by dress/body type/behaviour/interests or w.e -> but I can't go back and link that to a name #-> the horrors #kitchat #anyways. I want to credit my lab partner in a report but she was thin and blonde and white so. could be nearly anyone from my class

I've got an appointment with my psychiatrist tomorrow, and I'm getting my conch piercing swapped out for a shorter one. that's gonna be stressful 🙃

#annnd I will absolutely take my lorazepam for the second one... yeah it's unnecessary yeah it's dumb but. I'm SO scared #and I haven't even thought about taking any in ages. so it's alright and I don't mind #I will do things to make things I want to do but am scared of easier for myself so that I can do them at all #and that's fine #I'm so hoping she'll say the piercing is healing well... it doesn't hurt at all and I've been careful with it and I've cleaned it #(almost) every day like she said #but there's a bump and it still gets pretty gross and. well I'm just hoping it's fine 😬#I kinda keep going from 'I still want as many ear piercings as possible' to 'I don't want to get a piercing ever again in my life' and back #though at this point.... I'm thinking I definitely should not get any more in my left ear since it keeps being difficult (the slight hearing #loss and the tube and then I got a middle ear infection... maybe it'll eventually be fine again but right now it's not looking like it 🤔#but whatever maybe I'll get more in the right one. I could. if I wanted to. we will see 🤷)#also it suuucks that I now have to drive 30 minutes to get to my psychiatrist's office but I like him a lot so I will not look for a #different one #personal

Inazuma found itself having no shortage of busy days. The steel rang with prominent purpose, the winds howled and stirred while the vibrant pinch of electric adds a vital liveliness to the air. Upon the many hours stretched within this archipelago were those uncertain yet determined to rebuild. One of the more peculiar figures finding themselves working vibrantly gets activity back into place.

Thoma was a name now known between the light and dark echelons of Inazuma's social sphere. A fierce fighter, a loyal protector, someone who burns for their set of beliefs and had a heart that was kind enough in his position to potentially become trouble prone. Upon the island of Tatarasuna however, his work had initially worked around the great furnace, gathering up materials for bridge buildings and assisting in the diffusion of the dangerous energy gradually being drawn away.

Naturally, this led Thoma's attention to the carefully constructed wards, old legends singing of the Shogun's spellcraft beginning their creation, and how imparted knowledge helped in keeping them sustained and strong.

It causes a frustrated sense of heaviness to bloom in witnessing the Fatui's slithering efforts taking advantage of the shadows of bloodshed, the sorrow of confusion. "And all of that can begin to change.. Here and now, I got the electro crystals to help stabilize it.. But it feels like there's a missing piece still.." Kneeling beside the faltering hum of the ward, his attention was transfixed on carefully gathering up those surrounding notes. ..And now that he thinks about it.

Was it just his renewed sensitivity to the static currents and unseen stepped ladders, or has the quality of Inazuma's hailed element suddenly grown more.. prominent?
