One of my favorite things about Huntlow is that it’s like the one straight ship of the show and it’s almost the only one that’s mainly based on subtext (like a lot of queer ships are)

Like you know that type of straight person that sees a subtextual queer ship and says “well I don’t know I just don’t see it” “they never really got together” etc (but possibly ship every man with a woman vice versa)? Yeah they get a little bit of their own medicine there

“Hunter,” Willow shook her head with a smile, “is there anything you’re not good at?”

The sentiment went straight to his praise-hungry ego, and he stood a little straighter. A cocky answer danced on the tip of his tongue, but his confidence faltered when the small, often-forgotten, and cringingly awkward part of his brain registered that it was Willow who had complimented him.

“Sewing,” He blurted to distract from the heat he felt crawling across his face, “and texting, and uh, figures of…uh, speech. Metaphors? I don’t know, they’re dumb. Why would you say one thing when you really mean another, and—”

Willow’s laughter was warm, and she put a comforting hand on his shoulder, effectively (and thankfully) shutting him up.

“It was a rhetorical question,” She explained with a cheeky wink, and again something weird stirred in his gut.

“See?” He pointed out with an awkward chuckle, “Figurative language. Not my thing.”

I was thinking that now that our gang is in the human realm, they can't use magic and for someone who had always rely on it, it must be difficult, especially if you have been bullied in the past for the lack of it or being a later bloomer.

willow was feeling a bit down, in the human realm they can't do magic and she was feeling as useless as when she was little, always relying on someone, amity, her parents, gus... she was doing better...or so she thought, but look at her, sitting in front of Noceda's porch being useless, just like she has always been, just a half-a-witch.

how she could be useful if she couldn't even made food out of the plants with her magic? to that, she noticed someone approaching her and sitting next to her.

so... what are you doing captain?- she didn't needed to look to know who it was - you have been here a while... i was beginning to worry i mean everyone!!, i don't mean i wasn't worry, that i am but i mean... well that- he started to get nervous and that affected his words- so what's wrong?...

i just... i don't know... in the boiling isles i was doing so well, i was proving that i was stronger and that i could help with my magic, but here...here i'm nothing... i can't even make a little itty bitty vine...- she was very confused, angry and disappointed of herself- i'm i'm just half a witch willow all over again...

no you are not- out of the blue, hunter took her hands and made her look at him- i don't know who told you that, but you are not half anything , you are the most strong, brave, kind and cu... i mean great person i know, with and without magic, who cares if you can't cast any magic spells, you don't need them to be awesome, believe me, i wouldn't mess with you- he looked so serious and so secure of his words that willow couldn't stop her tears.

w..wait i did something wrong?? did i said something i shouldn't?- he started panicking a bit but willow just took the opportunity to hug him- you did nothing wrong, actually...you helped me... thanks Hunter- her head was on his chest and she didn't dare to move so he couldn't see how red she was, and even if she did, she would find that Hunter was in the same situation- yo...you don't have to... i will always be there Captain.

The destiel vs huntlow poll is so funny since I'm an avid shipper of both. It's massive brain worms vs massive brain worms. I need my fellow spn fans to understand its a fun match up.

#I know it's not 15 seasons of brain worms BUT #A puritan got mad and followed his brother to the demon realm and MURDERED #Him bc he wouldn't drop his new witch girlfriend/wife #And so he began using fucked up and the corpse of his brother to regrow a clone of him #One that would be subservient to him this time #But he spent like centuries MURDERING AND RECREATING HIM AGAIN AND AGAIN #Bc he always interpreted some act as betrayal #And Hunter is the latest in that line of grimwalkers. And hes only 16!#He grew up isolated and told there's a great future for him. And all kinds of ducked stuff #He's a child soldier and he meets willow who is just starting #To be more confident and proud of her true self vs her childhood at this point being #Tormented by bullies and she's finally in a better place #And they meet and immediately think the other is super special #And things get messed up bc of other factors. They technically are enemies but #Didn't know at first!#And they maintain contact and it just gets to be adorably sweet #Their core character traits are that they want to protect their loved ones any means necessary #But they're fundamentally on opposite sides at first & consider each other someone they #DO want to protect

One of the things I absolutely ADORE about the Owl House is that it's about every type of love.

Like, romantic love. Yes, we love that. It's gorgeous. Perfect. But also,

Platonic love. I adore it. It's beautiful. I'd kill and die for it. And also,

Found family. I'm gonna cry. It's beautiful. And also,

Blood family. People who have been there all your life. It's not great for everyone, but for some it's beautiful.

My point is that the Owl House demonstrates that love is more than just romantic love. The whole thing is based around love. Luz's love for her mom. Eda and King's love for Luz. The way Willow, Gus, and Hunter love each other. It's so beautiful to see these characters so shamelessly love each other.
