     Loch glared at the photo in front of him. Mist was right; the guy was kinda cute, he guessed. If you liked that sort of thing. He sighed; who was he kidding? The guy was attractive, no point denying it.      He glanced over his shoulder; Alice was paying him no mind for the moment. He had wanted just a face to the name, but seeing him didn’t seem to be enough. He loaded up a secure browser and got to work.      He started with Finn’s school record. Loch glared at the screen; it was clean. Nothing. No violations, no misdemeanours... Not even an attendance concern. Even the notes section was blank. This seemed... suspicious. Wiped, perhaps?      Loch chewed his lip, wondering what else he could look for without crossing too many legal lines... Lines he was already crossing... A niggling suspicion came to him, and he loaded up the campus website. Typing in the name, he gave himself a self-satisfied smile as he found exactly what he had expected.      So, family protection, huh? Just how far does that reach, though?      “I’m done,” Loch stated as he stood.      “Hm?” Alice didn’t look up from her terminal.       “Done for the day. I’m off.”      “Cool... Wait!” Alice snapped back to reality. “What do you mean you’re done?”      Loch shrugged. “Tests are done.”      Alice narrowed her eyes at him, but he kept his face neutral. “...Shifty,” she said as she shook her head and turned back to her terminal.       “If you say so, Al,” Loch said nonchalantly as he left.

Everyone talks about Alice: Madness Returns, but Rage form from the 1st game really got me good. American McGee's Alice is obviously the more difficult game, but I got so excited every time I had enough power to change to the Rage Alice!

Do you know it when you give up everything to finish reading a book series quickly because you’re so invested in it but you become obsessed with it and then you actually finish it and the void is immediately there. Like what do I do with my life now. Do I reread it? Do I drown myself in fanfiction? Do I draw my babies? Do I lie in bed all sad and miss my babies so much I cant live my life normally? Do I try to move on and start reading something new knowing my mind is still deep in the other series? Clearly it’s impossible. What do I doooo

Loch: Hey, sis. shouldn’t you be in class? Mist: leaving soon. s’up? Loch: Nm. Fully settled in now? Anyone giving you trouble? Mist: Nah.  Still get a few odd looks from a couple of the ~normies~ if I’m not wearing my band, but everyone else doesn’t even blink. Really is a mish-mash of people here. Loch: Good, good. How was New Year there?

     “Whatcha doin’?”      “Fuck, Al!” Loch gripped his chest, shooting his friend a dirty look as he tore out his earphones. “Why you gotta be sneaking up on me like that?”      “Because it’s funny? That doesn’t look like work.” Alice was looking over his shoulder at his screen.      “Tests running in the background,” Loch said with a scowl. “I’m just checking up on Mist while I wait.”      “So why so jumpy?”      “Because I wasn’t expecting anyone to sneak up behind me?” He tilted his head. “You’ve had your hair straightened.”      She scoffed, though she fiddled absently with her fringe. “Yes, I have. It’s date night. Don’t change the subject.”      “I’m not.”      “Riiiiight. Shifty.”      “What?”      “You’re being shifty, Loch.”      “No, I’m not,” Loch denied, crossing his arms defiantly.      Alice grinned. “Exactly what a shifty person would say.”       “You can read the messages right there, Al. I’m literally just checking up on my baby sister.”      “Oh, babe, you think I was born yesterday?” She fluffed his hair, causing him to jerk away irritably, batting her hand away with a growl. “Nice deflect attempt. That just means you haven’t gotten to whatever the thing is yet.”      Loch glared at her, and she laughed.       “Jeez, Loch, you used to be a much better liar than this. Fine, fine, keep your secrets. I’m sure I’ll get it out of you eventually. Out of interest, where is Mist going to college again?”      “...Storybrook.”      “Hmm. Interesting.” Alice gave him an odd smile as she walked back to her seat and turned to her own terminal. “Very interesting.”

I've been having trouble sleeping and been listening to Alice in wonderland before (in english,to practice!) so far it's been the only thing soothing me.

Also i just love the tale and i get to add to the colections of" desgins that will end up as stickers"
