It was quiet almost silent, but in a safe comforting way, like the quiet of a parting storm.

It seemed that as soon as that thought passed through his mind, the environment chose to reflect it. He was then standing outside, a gentle drizzle falling from a grey sky. Everything was soft and quiet. Even the welcoming birdsong was soft without their crisp notes losing their melody.

There was one other thing there; not quite a person but something just as soft as the environment it was apart of. It was just as much a part of this scene, of the world, as every breeze and blade of grass, as every birdsong and running water stream.

And it looked at him.

And it said that he was just as much a part of this scene as it was, as every animal and every plant, every gust of wind and rainfall.

With its human shape, it smiled on Acacius.

And with a voice he'd learned to listen for, it said,

"I'm proud of you."
