6: on a falling tear
Jere really is pretty when he cries.
Tommy knows it's an off putting and inappropriate thought, given the circumstances. And believe him, if it were possible, the Estonian would make sure that Jere never sheds tears other than ones of laughter or pleasure. It doesn't appear to be either of those right now. Tommy's fingers twitch at his sides, helplessly watching Jere shake in the corner of the room, the formulalakanat not enough to muffle the Finn's quiet sobs.
Though those watery blue eyes are very beautiful, the obviously distressed noises accompanying the beautiful sight leave Tommy unable to really feel any enjoyment.
His poor Jere hasn't gotten used to the new living arrangement yet. The brunette instinctively creeps closer to the other man, the primal urge to comfort guiding him. Tommy tries not to take it personally when Jere startles hard and presses himself as much against the wall as he can upon noticing him approaching.
"Shh. It's okay...." Tommy moves slowly, not wanting to spook his lover any further, smiling when big eyes glance at him from underneath the blanket. It's a real pity that Jere is trying to hide his beautiful face. "You know I'm not gonna hurt you, baby."
The rapper doesn't seem all that convinced, whimpering, immediately hiding away again when Tommy moves to sit on the mattress beside him. He doesn't let Jere's reluctance discourage him, reaching out a hand to gently pull some of the blanket away, until he can see those teary eyes again. Tommy cups a flushed cheek, stroking the flesh, offering what he hopes is a reassuring smile.
"Don't cry, beautiful." He insists when more tears leak down Jere's face. "I'm keeping you safe, yeah? You're okay."
He'd never let anything happen to Jere. Tommy would do anything and everything to protect him. He hopes Jere will understand that too, sooner or later. The Estonian wraps his arms around the trembling Finn over the formulalakanat. Jere tenses in his hold but simultaneously presses himself against Tommy's warmth, his body and mind in a battle it seems, wanting to get away but craving the softness all the same.
When Jere raises his head to look at him, his expression is torn between fear and adoration. Tommy leans in to kiss away a falling tear, licks his own lips to taste the salt, allows Jere to hide under his safety blanket again.
