Today, ahead of its inaugural upfront presentation on May 14, Prime Video announced that the highly anticipated new animated series from Warner Bros. Animation, Bad Robot Productions, and 6th & Idaho, Batman: Caped Crusader, will premiere all ten episodes Thursday, August 1, along with the official first-look images of this thrilling new show.

The character reveals, with descriptions below include Bruce Wayne/Batman, Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Dr. Harleen Quinzel/Harley Quinn, Commissioner Jim Gordon, and Clayface. Welcome to Gotham City, where the corrupt outnumber the good, criminals run rampant and law-abiding citizens live in a constant state of fear. Forged in the fire of tragedy, wealthy socialite Bruce Wayne becomes something both more and less than human—the BATMAN. His one-man crusade for justice attracts unexpected allies within the GCPD and City Hall, but his heroic actions spawn deadly, unforeseen ramifications.

- BATMAN - A cold, remorseless avenger of evil, seemingly more machine than man. Forged in the fire of tragedy, every fiber of his being is dedicated to the eradication of crime. - BRUCE WAYNE - To the public at large, Bruce Wayne is a shallow dilettante, apparently wasting his parents’ vast fortune on frivolous pursuits and hedonistic pleasures. In fact, he’s an elaborate facade, carefully constructed to divert attention from his activities as Batman. - SELINA KYLE / “CATWOMAN” - Selena Kyle is a blithe and pampered heiress whose family lost their fortune after her father was imprisoned for embezzlement. Despite having the silver spoon yanked from her mouth, Selina refuses to quit living in the lap of luxury and becomes Catwoman as a “fun” way to maintain her lavish lifestyle. - DR. HARLEEN QUINZEL / “HARLEY QUINN” - Despite a personable and bubbly demeanor, Dr. Harleen Quinzel is a brilliant psychiatrist who treats some of Gotham’s elite. However, as Harley Quinn, she is a different person, entirely. A creepy, quiet, calculating menace who secretly dispenses her twisted justice to the truly despicable among her elite clientele. - COMMISSIONER JIM GORDON - Former beat cop close to retirement, Gordon was hired to play along with the corrupt system and run out the clock till he can draw a pension. But they’ve sorely underestimated Jim Gordon. His unassailable character brings him into conflict with dirty cops and crooked politicians, alike. Not to mention, he has to reckon with a deranged vigilante beating up Gotham’s criminals. - CLAYFACE - Thanks to his “unique” facial features, screen actor Basil Karlo has been forever typecast as a B-movie heavy. Frustrated by the limitations his appearance put on both his career and personal life (he fell hopelessly in love with his co-star), Karlo turned to an experimental serum that promised to change his face. However, not only does this serum ultimately disfigure his face, but it ruptures the last of his sanity -- creating the tragic, vengeance seeking villain, Clayface. Glad to hear Batman: Caped Crusader got picked up for 2 seasons by Prime Video

I was rooting to get to see B:CC. It sounds interesting to me.

Batman: Caped Crusader is an all-new animated series and reimagining of the Batman mythology through the lens of executive producers Bruce Timm, J.J. Abrams, and Matt Reeves. According to Prime Video, the series will utilize state-of-the-art animation techniques to once again reinvent the character with “sophisticated storytelling, nuanced characters, and intense action sequences, all set in a visually striking world.”

In addition to Timm, Abrams, and Reeves, Ed Brubaker and Sam Register are set to executive produce the series. Based on characters from DC, Batman: Caped Crusader is produced by Warner Bros. Animation, Bad Robot Productions, and 6th & Idaho.

Unsure how hard to clown for Jensen doing the bat-voice for it.

Amazon has confirmed a two-season order of Batman: Caped Crusader, an all-new animated series featuring reimagined characters and villains from the Batman mythology, produced by Warner Bros. Animation, Bad Robot Productions, and 6th & Idaho.

Along with this, Amazon also announced the acquisition of the animated holiday film Merry Little Batman and its spinoff series, Bat-Family. Merry Little Batman is a family action comedy, while Bat-Family follows Batman, Alfred, and Damian Wayne (aka Little Batman) as they navigate the fun and frustrations of life as a superhero family.

The new animated projects ensure that there will be an animated Batman story ready to excite fans of all ages, said Sam Register, president of Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network Studios.

The Batman is a 2022 American superhero film based on the DC Comics character Batman. Warner Bros. Pictures, DC Films, 6th & Idaho, and produced by Dylan Clark Productions and Warner Bros. Distributed by Pictures, it is a reboot of the Batman film franchise. The film was directed by Matt Reeves, who wrote the screenplay with Peter Craig. It stars Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman with Joey Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Andy Serkis and Colin Farrell. The film sees Batman, who has been fighting crime in Gotham City for two years, uncover corruption while pursuing the serial killer Riddler (Dano) who targets Gotham's corrupt elite.

May 5th:

Cinco de Mayo! Woke up and I had a small breakfast. I ran to a gym and worked out and ran back. After taking a shower I went with one half of the party to pick up some supplies and some bourbon. For lunch we all met at a brewery and got a beer and went to a Mexican restaurant nearby. After lunch we came back to the AirBnb and chilled out. I made some old fashioned for the group and we started grilling. We picked up the last member of the party. We stayed up late and chilled.

May 6th:

We woke up and had some breakfast. 2 of the guys had to do an assessment. The rest of us went to ATV tour. After on the way back we stopped by Idaho Springs and got lunch there. Came back home and I took a fat nap. When we woke up we just chilled and got ready for dinner. After dinner we went to a comedy show. After the show we came back to the Airbnb and just hung out.

May 7th:

Some of us had to leave early so they left early in the morning. The rest of us had an evening flight so we got a late brunch at some Biscuit place. After we went to a park and rented bikes and rode around. After we were at a REI checking out stuff. Afterwards we headed to the airport. We had to finish our beers at the airport. We all got an early dinner before our flight and we said our good byes there. When the SD people landed my wife picked us up. I hung out with the wife and went to bed.

May 8th:

First day back. I had an ok day. It was a work from home day. I got back into my rhythm. I thought I had a fairly productive day. Went to the gym and cooked dinner. Taking it easy tonight.
