It's that time of year again!! Femslash Festuary is back!!

3rd Annual Femslash Festuary 2024

In honor of Femslash February, @girldirectionfest is hosting a little challenge, no sign ups necessary and very few rules, which are as follows:

please be 18 or older to join this fest

fic must be 7000 words or less

no AI art or fic can be submitted for inclusion in the AO3 collection

at least one character should be from One Direction, and that character should be a girl. There’s no limit to how many characters you genderswap– they can all be women! It’s up to you :)

Since it’s for femslash February though, please no M/M main pairing

fics should be tagged with all the appropriate content warnings; if you worry you haven’t gotten everything you can check ‘author chose not to use warnings’ to make sure you’re covered!

THAT’S IT!!

all pairings are allowed, trans and non-binary/gnc characters are encouraged, and you can write anything from fluffy slice of life to utterly filthy pwp– Girl Direction contains multitudes, baby!!

Deadline for submissions is Monday, February 26th, and all the fics in the collection will be revealed on Tuesday, February 27th in time for reccing on the 28th!

“Who the fuck are you?” Harry screeches and jumps back in surprise. The man drops the popcorn bowl on the carpet and stands up, raising his hands in surrender, “Hey, it's me.” Harry frowns. He has never seen this man in his life. He stares at the wide blue eyes and… holy shit. There's no way. Harry rephrases his question, “what are you?" Or Harry is a Good Samaritan, and makes delicious sugar cookies to hand out for free. Louis is a cat hybrid who is hungry and sort of searching for a home, so he sneakily steals one of Harry's cookies, not knowing they were free. They meet.

With Harry’s 30th birthday a mere month away, it’s time to come up with YOUR plans to give him the “dirty thirty” birthday celebration of his dreams! This fest is open for art as well as fic, so whether you feel inspired to depict a filthy scene visually or with the written word, go for it! Prompt submissions are open and anyone can take any prompt they like; I’ll be updating a post with the prompts every day or so up until the submission deadline.

The rules for this fest are as follows: -Harry must be a main character in the fic-- can be watching, participating, whatever -Any pairing/multi-pairing is fine, omegaverse, sex/genderswap, etc, basically anything goes-- this doesn't have to be canon Harry -No length requirements or limits, as long or short as you want -Art posts must have appropriate community label to be shared on tumblr -No content restrictions, but please tag thoroughly (or use “author chose not to use archive warnings” if you prefer)

I've enjoyed running this blog a lot, but I've decided not to continue it and pass the list to someone who's more involved right now.

Bothy: A bothy is a basic shelter, usually left unlocked and available for anyone to use free of charge. Bothies are found in remote mountainous areas of Scotland, Northern England, Ulster and Wales. They are particularly common in the Scottish Highlands, but related buildings can be found around the world (for example, in the Nordic countries, there are wilderness huts).
