Paul’s Christmas gift to his fellow Beatles [in 1965] was an acetate disc of a radio-style show that he’d taped at home featuring music tracks by artists he thought they should take note of, linked by Paul speaking in the style of a New York DJ. “It was something crazy, something left-field just for the Beatles . . . that they could play late in the evening,” he later explained. “It was called Unforgettable and started with Nat King Cole’s ‘Unforgettable.’ It was like a magazine programme full of weird interviews, experimental music, tape loops and some tracks that I knew the others hadn’t heard.”
He was clearly hinting at the direction the Beatles might go when they reconvened in the studio, offering the sort of rich palette from which they might choose. Besides “Unforgettable” and the experimental sounds there was “Down Home Girl” by the Rolling Stones, “Don’t Be Cruel” by Elvis, Martha and the Vandellas singing “Heat Wave,” the Beach Boys with “I Get Around,” and the Peter and Gordon LP track “Someone Ain’t Right.”
Reflecting on the record selection a few months later George said, “It was a peculiar overall sound. John, Ringo and I played it and realized Paul was on to something new. Paul has done a lot in making us realize that there are a lot of electronic sounds to investigate. If we’re in the studio we don’t mentally think that this is the Beatles making a new hit LP or single. It’s just us, four blokes with some ideas, good and bad, to thrash out.”

Gerry Cheevers 1965-66 Topps Rookie Card
During the 1964-65 season, Gerry Cheevers showcased his exceptional skills as a goaltender for the Rochester Americans. His outstanding performance earned him the prestigious Harry "Hap" Holmes Memorial Award, which is bestowed upon the American Hockey League (AHL) goalie with the lowest goals against average. Over the course of 72 games, Cheevers demonstrated his prowess with a remarkable 2.68 GAA and recorded five shutouts.
While Cheevers did not participate in every single game for the Americans that season, as backup goaltender Gary Smith saw action for a full two minutes, his impact was undeniable. The Amerks clinched the top spot in the regular season standings and ultimately emerged victorious in the Calder Cup finals by defeating the Hershey Bears.
Interestingly, Gerry Cheevers stood alone among all goaltenders in the 1964-65 AHL season, playing in every single one of his team's 72 regular season games. Not only that, he also appeared in all ten playoff games, showcasing his unwavering dedication and commitment to his team.
In his professional career, Cheevers' highest number of games played in a single National Hockey League (NHL) season was 52, which he achieved during the 1968-69 campaign with the Boston Bruins. During that impressive season, he maintained a solid 2.80 GAA and secured three shutouts. However, when he joined the Cleveland Crusaders in the World Hockey Association (WHA), Cheevers found himself shouldering an even heavier workload. Over three full seasons with the Crusaders, he consistently played a minimum of 52 games per season, reaching a peak of 59 games in 1973-74.

Small 1965 A - Frame time capsule in Idyllwild, California. 1bd, 1ba, $475K. Already has a pending sale, b/c it's so cute.
The living room faces the lovely deck and mountain view. In the center is a classic mid-century modern red fireplace.
There's room for a table and chairs to the side of the living room, in front of the kitchen. Above is an open loft.
Has a cute galley kitchen with a lot of storage for a small kitchen.
Stairs to the loft- regular stairs, no ladders.
Technically, it's a 1 bd. home, but the loft sleeps more.
This bed has a great view.
The primary bedroom & bath are on the main floor.
It has a nice bathroom with black tiles around the tub.
The deck isn't huge, but it's got room for some seating.
There's a flat yard area. This is the back terrace off the loft.
From the aerial view you can see that the house is in the middle of a very rocky terrain. The lot is .66 acre. There's a road right in front, so it's easily accessible.
Not sure how you get up here, but I imagine you park somewhere below the rocks.
So cozy lit up at night.
